In a rare move, Israel’s military chief of staff Lieutenant-General Aviv Kohavi has sent a strong warning in the face of Iran’s imminent nuclear threat to Israel. Kohavi’s warning comes amid Iran’s violation of the nuclear deal, as well as its admitting to violating the deal, as well as its repeated threats and provocations regarding its military capabilities. Iran has also threatened to block UN nuclear site inspections.
Iran, meanwhile, has totally dismissed Israel’s seriousness about protecting itself, declaring that it “nothing more than ‘psychological warfare’ from a government that has ‘virtually no plan’ to follow through on its rhetoric.”
“Israeli military chief warns of new plans to strike Iran”, by Laurie Kellman, Associated Press, January 26, 2021:
TEL AVIV (AP) — Israel’s military chief Tuesday warned the Biden administration against rejoining the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, even if it toughens its terms, adding he’s ordered his forces to step up preparations for possible offensive action against Iran during the coming year.
The comments by Lt. Gen. Aviv Kohavi came as Israel and Iran both seek to put pressure on President Joe Biden ahead of his expected announcement on his approach for dealing with the Iranian nuclear program. In Iran, leaders said they would not wait indefinitely for Biden to act.
The 2015 deal put curbs on Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for the easing of crippling economic sanctions. Israel strongly opposed the deal, saying it did not include sufficient safeguards to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. It welcomed the Trump administration’s withdrawal from the agreement in 2018.
Biden has said he will seek to revive the deal, with some changes.
In his address to the Institute for National Security Studies, Kohavi said a return to the deal, even with some improvements, “is bad operationally and it is bad strategically.” He said allowing Iran to proceed with a nuclear program would be “an unacceptable threat and will lead to nuclear proliferation across the region.” Iran says its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.
Kohavi said that given the threat posed by Iran, Israel’s military would be prepared to attack on its own if needed.
“I instructed the army to prepare a number of operational plans in addition to the existing ones,” he said. “We are taking care of these plans and will develop them during the coming year. Those who decide on carrying them out, of course, are the political leaders. But these plans have to be on the table.”…

“Iran…has ‘virtually no plan’ to follow through on its rhetoric.””
Recommendation to Iranian “leadership” – read about the history of Israel May 14th, 1948 – present.
Israel does not engage in pointless rhetoric, and they have the potent IDF…

I’ve always supported IDF and Israel^s right to defend itself!
i wouldn’t trust Biden to walk my dog, so he’s the last person to have any say-so in world events.

Biden won’t defend Israel against Iran so Israel better get ready.
The Dems are filled with anti-Semites.

A truly untenable position for Israel; progressively abandoned by its ally and threatened with destruction by the maniacal regime of Iran. One nuclear bomb from Iran could destroy tiny Israel – the openly stated goal of Iran’s mullahs – while Israel, alone, would be strained to defeat such a large area as Iran.
There are now two underground nuclear sites in Iran and it might take nuclear weapons to both destroy them and cause the area to be unsuable for further production.
Israel is faced with a terrible choice: gamble on Iran dropping its lust for the destruction of Israel while the US weakens Israel, or, destroy the nuclear sites and if a war develops, destroy the Iranian regime.
Without the US as a committed ally, an Iran-Israel hot war is almost inevitable.

Israel should’ve bombed Iran when Trump was in office, since the fallout would’ve been easier to manage. Now with an anti-semitic weak administration under Biden, they’re going to have an uphill battle since it’s highly likely that Biden will try to stop Israel from protecting itself and they will make the Iranian bomb inevitable.
What the Dems don’t realize is that once the Mullahs have the nukes, the US, Europe, India and other non-Islamic nations are just as much of a target as Israel is and they will use them. Expect Biden to cut off any aid to Israel, invoke sanctions and force them to make huge concessions to the Fakestinians.
If Israel thinks they can influence the Moron-in-Chief, they’re about to be surprised. Don’t wait for permission, don’t show the enemy your hand. If you want to stop the Mullahs, then catch them off guard, bomb their nuke sites into oblivion but also have a plan to topple this monstrously evil fascist regime before they can act, because they will definitely retaliate. If the US won’t bring freedom to the Iranians, then maybe Israel should.

Israel: Military chief says attack plans against Iran are being revised in light of Biden’s return to nuke deal
………….
Israel is under greater threat from Iran with Biden in office.
Norman Gardner says
I am sure that Israel has contingency plans on the table to protect itself from the extremist war mongers in Tehran. Biden would be an idiot to go along with Obama`s policy of appeasing Iran. Remember, Obama threatened to shoot down Israeli planes if they attacked Iran, plus he gave them 150 billion to help them with their support for terrorism.
