Well, everyone is always telling us this, so I guess it must be true, right? I’d really like to join the crowd and drink the Kool-Aid, really I would, but reality impedes me. See, for example, the Qur’an verses here. I just have a nagging suspicion that a few decades down the road, or sooner, people in the U.S. will be wishing that Steve Harvey and all the others hadn’t told them this and made them complacent. But of course, I am likely to be wildly wrong.
“Steve Harvey says ‘there’s no one way to Heaven,'” by Jeannie Law, Christian Post, January 29, 2021:
Internationally recognized comedian Steven Harvey stunned many of his Christian fans after he revealed that he believes there’s more than one way to Heaven.
On Saturday, Harvey posted a video on his official YouTube channel titled “How Steve Harvey Prays” that shows the “Family Feud” host at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in the United Arab Emirates, a majority Muslim Persian Gulf nation where Islam is the official religion. While Christian expatriates in the UAE are allowed to worship in private, they are prohibited by law from praying in public or evangelizing.
“There’s no one way to Heaven, no one way to paradise,” Harvey declared. “It’s like television, now there’s [sic] over 800 channels on cable, and they’re all pretty entertaining. So I’m pretty sure that to get to Heaven, there’s got to be more than one route. Because somebody watching another channel or taking another channel than you, they’re still getting entertained, and they probably still getting to Heaven.”
In the Bible, however, Jesus clearly states that He is the only way.
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me,” Jesus said in John 14:6. In John 8:24 Jesus said: “For unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins.”
The Apostle Peter echoed the words of Christ in Acts 4:12, saying, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Harvey captioned the video by writing, “There’s [sic] many ways to serve GOD and keep your faith. My trip to The Emirates always reminds me how we can live in harmony and in the much-needed peace we all crave globally.”…

I am sick of these useful idiots like Steve Harvey, who aid and abet evil.
Mount Zion says
I blame the main stream media who doesn’t tell the truth after every jihadi attack and the governments and politicians of every western country who keep praising Islam as a religion of peace despite all the rapes , vehicular jihad , stabbings , wife beatings honor killings etc. by only one and always the same religious group . That is not to say that Steve doesn’t bear any responsability of finding out what is really going on , however the bigest failure is on western media and politicians who just will not tell the truth and keep downplaying every singel jihadi attack by muslim supremacists.
Lion heart says
He is Judy another useful idiot who knows nothing about Islam ! And I wanna say to Steve :” when nice Muslims take Islam seriously and put it into PRACTICE TO THE LETTER only then you will see their true face ! ask Canadian Christians originally from Iraq ( like myself ) that after 2003 and what even Muslim neighbors did to Christians after taking Islam seriously and stop being naïve like the far leftists who do anything to defend the ideology which calls for their and the whole world violent subjugation ( Quran 9:29 ) watch the following video with English subtitles which I translated from Arabic ( my second tongue ) into English and see YOURSELF :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Af7OYY9qOCI and watch this one about the legal lying in Islam called TAQIYYA according to Quran 3:28 where Muslims are allowed by their Allah to lie non-Muslims to further the cause of Islam and when they are minority and not strong enough to overcome non-Muslims like Muslims in Canada and in West in general https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ij0nzkZL4yo

Thank you for the link. It would be most useful if you could post here amongst the comments the transcript of your subtitles for “What Muslims did to their Iraqi Christian neighbours…” , or even submit it to JihadWatch as an article. It is informative and revealing.
mortimer says
‘Lion heart’ is correct. There are many heart-breaking, recorded accounts of Muslims who turned on their Christian neighbors and killed them, even after knowing them since childhood.
It’s the IDEOLOGY OF AL WALAA WAL BARAA (the requirement of hating non-Muslims for the sake of Allah).

Not for you there isn’t. You are separated from G-d because of your rejection of The Christ which is the only way to remove the barrier between the two of you. As for evidence, hundreds of Biblical prophecies are being fulfilled right before our eyes in the news every single day. But you insist on blindness, so you are in no position to claim that your eyes see. The fact is, they see nothing, and you love it that way. So be it.

Perhaps Steve Harvey had been listening to Tony Blair:

Mortimer, I think he is there to film a feature for his “docuseries”, titled ‘When Steve meets East’. Seems pretty much a puff piece from what I have heard. Looks like it’s mostly intended to get foolish Americans to vacation there:

Videos: Steve Harvey Chants with Indigenous UAE Tribe to Show ‘Islam Is Peace’
Comedian and Family Feud host Steve Harvey is currently on a tour of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to promote tourism to the Gulf state, Saudi Arabia’s al-Arabiya reported on Thursday, enjoying a traditional performance this week with members of the al-Shehi tribe.
Harvey told the National this week — a UAE-funded newspaper — that he was in the country to discover its “hidden jewels.” Gulf states like UAE and Saudi Arabia have increasingly attempted to attract celebrities to visit to boost their reputations in the West.
The UAE reopened all seven of its emirates to tourism in September after dramatically reducing the number of Chinese coronavirus cases within its borders. The move made it one of the few places around the world advertising safe tourism during the pandemic, which it appears to be further promoting with celebrity visits.
Human Rights Watch condemned Saudi Arabia’s use of celebrities to “image-wash” in October, noting that it has spent billions on American celebrities to “deflect from the country’s image as a pervasive human rights violator.”

What an idiot. There’s that saying that, if you know nothing about a subject and are a fool, it’s better to keep your mouth shut and people won’t know that you are an ignorant fool. Islam is peaceful. Yep, and black is white and night is day and up is down. It would take so little research for this clown to find those calls for violence throughout islam (he just has to dip into the Koran) and also to check out the endless slaughter that Muslims have carried out during the blood soaked 1400 history of this vicious, murderous ideology. 270 million people slaughtered and Islam continues on its murderous way. Hopefully, almost everybody will recognise what a know nothing fool this clown is when it comes to islam.
gregbeetham says
Yes, an old Chinese proverb states that ‘it is better to keep one’s mouth closed and let people think you are an idiot than to open it and remove all doubt’.

To be fair, many Muslims hide and conceal the fact that JIHAD is the MOST IMPORTANT PILLAR of Islam. They are intentionally misleading nice people like Steve Harvey.
Most Muslims lie about jihad to the kafir.

Proud Islamophobe says
No matter what moslems say, their actions on earth speak loud and clear. The problem is that Hollywood daffodils like Steve Harvey live on Mars and never visit earth. They are totally detached from reality.
As for “kafir”? Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible refers to “infidel” as word #571, and defines it as follows:
apistôs: disbelieving, i.e. without Chr. faith (spec. a heathen) (pass.) untrustworthy (person), or incredible (thing: – that believeth not, faithless, incredible thing, infidel, unbeliever (-ing)
Note specifically “without Christian faith.” That is why I will NEVER refer to myself as an infidel or kafir, and no other non-moslem should either. islam is the antithesis of all truth. To call oneself an infidel or kafir is to entertain their lies. Just my personal opinion (which happens to be based on fact).
tim gallagher says
Thanks for the correct quote, gregbeetham. It is a good quote. If you say Steve Harvey is a nice person, mortimer, then I believe that to be the case. As someone who lives in Australia, I have only heard his name once before and I think it had something to do with him making a blunder on a quiz show on which he is the presenter. The most alarming thing I find about the opinion Harvey expresses is his saying that there are many ways (including Islam) to get to heaven, to reach salvation. I’m a Christian, but I definitely do believe that, if say a person sincerely is following some other religion that is not obviously evil (maybe, say, Buddhism) then I think such a person probably is saved. But islam is so full of hatred and calls to murder, to rape, to have sex with underaged girls, etc, etc, that I personally can’t believe that Islam can be a path to heaven. You may as well say that sincere Nazis will get to heaven. Islam is one very obviously evil path to take to try to get into heaven. I think that most people must be able to see that islam condones many evil behaviours. So I can’t buy this moral equivalence when it comes to Islam. The idea that, hey, man, as long as you’re a sincere follower of any religion, you’ll all get to heaven, whether you’re a murdering Muslim jihadi or a peaceful Christian is ridiculous. To my mind, that is too weird of way to look at things. But, of course, since Harvey thinks Islam is peaceful, despite all the terrorist attacks, etc, I suppose it makes sense to him that following “peaceful” islam will get people into Heaven, if an afterlife and heaven do exist. I do believe that Harvey should have studied islam a bit before speaking up about how “peaceful” it is.
gregbeetham says
Yes, it isn’t too difficult to connect nearly 40 thousand obscene terrorist attacks since 9/11 in the name of Islam with the teachings in their Koran; it isn’t rocket surgery but is apparently beyond the grasp of politicians and MSM thus they continue to place the populations in the West at extreme potential risk of more random violence and death from Muslims who want to ensure they get a place in their version of Heaven by becoming a martyr during the killing of disbelievers in the name of Islam.
I think if I remember correctly Christianity teaches that Jesus would make allowances for people who were trapped in an evil culture from birth and didn’t know anything else; but that might hold as long as they themselves didn’t commit a sin that should be obvious to any reasonable person, like murdering people without just cause for instance, but those who deliberately led people astray with false teachings almost certainly would not receive any grace.
tim gallagher says
I couldn’t agree more, gregbeetham, about how bloody obvious it is that Islam condones a lot of inhumane and evil actions, all those terrorist attacks being the most obvious. I was thinking that, if you are brought up in some religion and you never hear about any other, maybe better and more pleasant, religion, (and then also you are not allowed to freely leave islam or they’ll try to kill you -and how sick is that) but you are trying to be a pretty good person, then you’ll probably get to heaven, but, to my mind, when it comes to islam, which I find is just so full of hatred for all non-believers and so full of what I think is obvious evil (honour killings for trivial offences, marrying off very young girls, etc) I can’t personally believe that the followers of Islam are heaven bound. But maybe I’m too harsh and too much of an Islamophobe. But I did find Steve Harvey’s saying, hey, there are many different paths to heaven, even behaving in the evil way many Muslims behave, was ridiculous. It is sort of like saying that it doesn’t really matter how you behave.
gregbeetham says
Yes Tim, I think we live in some deluded age now where some people who have the correct political mindscape, like the leftards for instance, get a free pass and aren’t held responsible for their own actions due to being provoked to hysteria by even the faintest suggestion of anything rightish such as the concept we get promoted based on merit not by belonging to some racial group, or a protected religion, or political persuasion or gender and the suggestion people should be treated equally and be responsible for their actions.
Such alternative thinking seems guaranteed to send lefties into a frenzy, perhaps because it threatens the very base construct of their deluded regulated political mindscape which is in reality discriminative, racist, and intolerant of any political or religious group they identify as not having the permitted attributes.
tim gallagher says
I agree, gregbeetham, about the left wingers’ insistence that everybody has to see things their way or they’ll fly off into a rage. And, in so many ways, to my way of seeing things, there are a hell of a lot of deluded people out there and especially the ones who still can’t see how barbaric and evil islam is and who keep on telling us that islam is peaceful. There is so much evidence of Islam’s endless violence by now that it is hard to comprehend how quite a few people can still be so deluded.

Steve Harvey: ‘Islam is a religion of peace’
…………….
Another useful idiot. That he is saying this in Abu Dhabi, where Christians are not even allowed to pray in public, is particularly disturbing.
mortimer says
Steve Harvey can do better than this. He has written several books and should have a more accurate grasp of Islam.
I hope does some study of the JIHAD TEACHING and learns that JIHAD is a core teaching of Islam.
In Islam, you show your ‘FAITH’ by participating in JIHAD and putting your money and your LIFE on the line!
Steve Harvey is pretending not to understand JIHAD for the sake of his hosts who invited him to entertain them.
Wellington says
The fact that a doofus like Steve Harvey can put out such false and even dangerous sentimental rot—and be believed by many (bet Biden would believe him, but I digress)—is indicative once again of how far mankind must still travel to rid itself of stupid and inimical ideas, most certainly deleterious to our species surviving optimally.
Man advances and regresses at the same time. Among the constants in human history, I would place this “constant” in first place. The great advances that Western Civilization has made over the past two or more millennia in the realms of political philosophy, philosophy in general, technology, the scientific method, the diameters of liberty, et al., as contrasted with retrograde forces like Islam, Nazism, Marxism and Western Leftism, only demonstrates all the more that mankind gets better and worse at the same time.
Damn, I do fervently wish it would only be “better.” Alas, it is not. Steve Harvey in microcosm proves this in the negative sense. He most certainly does. What a waste.
mortimer says
Steve Harvey was no doubt buttering up his Arab fans and employers who treated him … well … like royalty while he was there.
Wellington is right: Harvey’s gushing is mere sentimental rot.

What’s logically wrong with radical universalism (according to an American Hindu priest) is that not only do religions use different paths to ‘climb the mountain’ of sprituality, but they are also ‘climbing different mountains’.
Steve Harvey thinks everyone is climbing the same mountain, but he is making an unfounded assumption.

Same like with booze brands. All brands will promote that they taste the best, and are the best booze to make you feel happy.
Then, long ago, one clever marketeer thought of a way to enlarge the market share of his booze brand. So he told the recipe to distil his booze was not an ordinary recipe, but that recipe came straight from God, which recipe he received through the angel Gabriel.
He told his customers that all the other booze was bad, and that people drinking the other booze brands were infidels.
To enforce his marketing strategy he created the so called divine booze laws, under which people drinking other booze or marketing other booze even could be killed, and people that criticized his marketing strategy were punish as blasphemers or regarded as right wing racists.
Needless to say that markets were his booze brand penetrated were almost 100% monopolized.
Sometimes people from other places, that drunk other booze to get happy with, visited the monopolized market, and noticed: “Damn, for sure there are more ways to become a happy drunk!”
mortimer says
Yes, (ha, ha), but Muslims who actually believe in Mohammed and get intoxicated with his jihad teachings are very deadly and that is not funny at all.
Larry A. Singleton says
I’ve studied Islam for over ten years.
I just stumbled over an old article I’d squirreled away in a Joan Peters file; “Lessons from the Haj” by Joseph Puder.
Leon Uris’ book The Haj is what kick started my whole interest in this Israel-Islam-“Palestinian” thing.
I’ve got hundreds of files stuffed with thousands of articles. Books on just about every aspect of Islam lining my shelves.
But as I was watching this Steve Harvey video I put my brain on pause because I was thinking of this Imam in Los Angeles I talked to a few months ago. He reminded me of my spiritual mentor from years back, Richard, who was “queer as a three dollar bill”. His words. He was the wisest, kindest, gentlest man I’ve ever known.
So it was with this Muslim Imam.
This was about the time I probably irritated Mr. Spencer when I asked him about the hadiths. I won’t get into that. But this Imam and I ended up agreeing that the hadiths; Sahih Al-Bukhari, were “a mess”. Not standardized like the Bible and Koran.
Anyway, I compare the conversation I had with that Imam the same way I do a book that hangs with you months and years after you’ve read it. “All the Kings Men” and Michener’s Chesepeake were like that for me. Almost a part of my soul.
I know. Sounds silly. But I’m an angry person. I’m in physical pain most of the time because of a back injury and all I know sometimes is kicking ass. A lot of that comes from the sheer stupidity I see with the countless idiots I deal with on the Internet. The rabid Trump bashers. The willfully ignorant and clueless still voting for Democrats. I like to say that “I’m an EX-Democrat for a reason”. I’m 60 years old. I’ve seen the Democratic Party degenerate right along with the rapid moral decline of this country since the 1960s. Getting worse and worse every day right in front of our eyes. A corrupt media that is an American Pravda that is obscenely joined at the hip with an equally corrupt political party. Literally lip syncing each other’s words and phrases viciously attacking our president, conservatives and all those they blatantly hate and despise.
As much as I hate and despise “Islam” there’s a part of me, (probably a remnant of my long-haired hippie days in the 70s), that wants to “agree to disagree” and maybe find some common ground when it comes to this “religion of peace”. Which is difficult in the extreme because I know that Islam is not the “religion of peace”. Again; I’ve studied the Koan and Islmaic history. I see what’s happening all over the world in the name of Islam.
I think about how they named that mosque the “Mary the Mother of Jesus Mosque”, yet I know that “Jesus” and “Mary” don’t mean the same thing to Muslims that they do to Christians. Along with every other Christian and Jewish thing the Koran has ripped off.
But at the same time I’m thinking that even in my life time a peace deal with Israel and any Muslim country would have been unthinkable. So I’m almost reluctantly thinking of the word “hope” in that there might be a real Reformation in Islam sometime in the not so far future. Or any real “dialogue” or discussion when it comes to the Qur’an.
I’m thinking here too about what if that narrator in the video had been a Jew. If they would have been able to do that mosque tour they talk about.
Or when, if ever, any unbeliever or infidel will ever be allowed in Mecca. Let alone a Jew.
I wonder if Steve Harvey ever talks about “Islamic Antisemitism” and the Jew hatred that is in the DNA of Islam.
I’ve tried to get Muslims to have a conversation with me. The few that have inevitably drift away. Especially when I start asking the hard questions on which I’m knowledgeable about.
Same when it comes to racism, black people and these race hustlers.
I’m somewhat of an expert on racism. Something I’ve studied for years. And something I’ve been up close and personal with in ways most people can only talk about. Or even imagine.
I can’t get anybody to discuss the issue of racism to save my life.
Again, because I suspect that 1) They suspect that I know what I’m talking about and 2) They don’t.
The problem is that we live in a country that no longer values reading, history or knowledge. Compounded by an education system that is graduating kids who are barely literate. Especially when it comes to being culturally and historically literate.
It’s a real drag man.
I think I’ll call that LA imam tomorrow.

To Larry A. Singleton : thanks for sharing. I wish everyone was as concerned about facts and as determined to dig them out as you are.
To respond to one of your points (Muslims won’t talk about Islam): a former Muslim explained this. Most Muslims know Islam ‘anecdotally’ and not from reading the primary, source texts.
For most Muslims, Islam is in the category of a ‘folk religion’ … not the real thing … just what ‘we do’ in our family.

Although ‘most’ Muslim families think that Islam is just ‘something we do’ the ever present danger lies with their offspring and who they come into contact with. They can and have run off the rails without warning in the past.

“the religion of peace” is known as the grand lie of the 21st Century. But, few realise that it’s a line Stolen from a Tom Clancy novel. Executive Orders,New York 1996, Page 839.

No where, in any written word of islam does that phrase exist.

It means utter cruelty to animals (the dog of my sister-in-law was kept in a shed without the trace of a light, when it came out, this animal just wanted to kill everything in sight), throat slitting of sheep and cow (!), angry fights over the smallest things, anger and evil gossip and uglinesss and jealousy and envy and poverty …and then mistreatment and the disrespect for women. It is a completely demonic social climate, poisonous, toxic. Unbearable. No wonder they all want to come here. We shouldn’t let them. They carry their poison with them. With my naiveté, I bought my ex first a residence permit and then a citizenship. It is one of the things in my life that I regret the most.

OMG, the reality is even worse than I imagined it would be and I thought living in an Islamic society would be dystopian for sure, something you could take to the bank. Your ex got a citizenship…where?

in beautiful Germany, with now a migrant population of 25%.
Leftists are selling out European cultures like there like disposable goods. Our leftist youth believes that the country of their fathers belongs to all the world. They think this is altruism. They have a surprise coming what it will be like when no heritage and no country will be gone…along with the social security systems, safety, stability and wealth that they always took for granted.

“ While Christian expatriates in the UAE are allowed to worship in private, they are prohibited by law from praying in public or evangelizing.”
Harvey reply:
“ My trip to The Emirates always reminds me how we can live in harmony and in the much-needed peace we all crave globally.”…
Duh?
mortimer says
Reply to Brenrod: Steve Harvey is a universalist who isn’t trying to convince anyone of his easy-going views and he was exposed to a very rich, very Western-educated, English-speaking, modernist type of Muslim. Life is so swank and cool at the top.
OLD GUY says
Mortimer: When your at the top you are catered to and pampered and see nothing but the best. Steve Harvey believes his view of islam to be beautiful based on the environment he has around him. Whats amazing is that he seems to be blind to the violence of islam across the world.

Some people understand when you go to another country, the tour guides always show you the best part of town. Steve Harvey should consider going to a no go zone, that way he can separate fact from fiction.

I think that if Islam were a religion of peace, we would see Muslims ringing their hands in guilt for Muslim acts against peace, and asking the sorts of self-hating questions that people in the West ask. What are we doing wrong, should we make compensation for our evil actions. Why are we so bad. When do they voluntarily pay compensation for anything. Why is there no effort to really make peace anywhere. It always means they should get what they want, not that they should give up or give back anything. In the West people are supposed to feel guilty about slavery one or two centuries ago, while some Muslim countries still practice slavery today. Partly they remind me of the minister in War of the Worlds who approaches the martian invaders in a gesture of peace and is zapped with ray guns. It is like reverse psychology, where one says people are peaceful in the hope that they will be converted by this positive gesture and really become peaceful. But they may also be zapped, perhaps by the peaceful atom bombs that some countries are working to get.
Walter Sieruk says
It’s a good idea not to take at face value the claim that the word Islam means “peace.” For example, the ENCARTA WORLD ENGLISH DICTIONARY copyright 1999 defines Islam as “submission” based on the word “aslama” meaning “he surrendered.” Given the definition it’s an odd phenomenon that after about fourteen hundred years starting on September 12, 2001 the meaning changed from “submission” to “peace.” It’s very well known that if the police are questioning someone and he changes his story something is wrong. Nevertheless, when it comes to Islam no one gets suspicious of the change. The jihadists brag that they will win the war against the West by using the Western ignorance and naive gullible mindset on the subject of Islam against us. It seems that they do have some basis in that claim since so many Westerners are beguiled by the Muslim disinformation campaign.

This reminds me of a video I watched on the detrimental effects of fast food. In reference to a popular fast-food giant, he said, ” Don’t let a clown tell you what to eat.”
Steve Harvey is a clown and a pretend holy man.

I would guess that Harvey refers to himself as an African American. He is a man of wealth notoriety and privilege. He could have said something about the non muslim black Africans who in many cases live in a meat grinder as a result of islam but instead he rubbed shoulders with the sultans. To better understand the success of the mulsim slave trade of black Africans Harvey is an insight in to that horrible tragedy. I would imagine that non muslim black Africans despise this guy.
