Western politicians will keep telling us that the Islamic State has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam. Meanwhile, Islamic State jihadis trained in a madrasa. The propaganda is getting so high you need wings to stay above it, but it’s no more true for being ubiquitous.
“Turkish madrasa in Istanbul functioned as springboard for ISIS militants from Russia, China, Central Asia,” by Abdullah Bozkurt, Nordic Monitor, January 29, 2021 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Foreign fighters for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) apparently took refuge in a madrasa located in a conservative neighborhood of Istanbul, stronghold of the ruling Islamists and nationalists in the Turkish government, and used the religious school as a hub to meet others, map out their routes to Syria and discuss strategies, documents obtained by Nordic Monitor have revealed.
An indictment and ensuing trial of an ISIS cell in Turkey have uncovered how jihadists from Russia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and China’s Xinjiang region were trained in a madrasa in Istanbul’s Sultanbeyli district where the ruling Justice Development Party (AKP) has a strong support base. The case, which was initiated in October 2016, involves half a dozen foreign fighters who had operated in and out of Istanbul, with some traveling to the Turkish-Syrian border. Most were released before the trial started, paving the way for some to go underground as fugitives. When asked by the court to locate suspects who were on the run, the Turkish intelligence agency claimed ignorance of their whereabouts.
The testimony of suspects during the hearings shed light on how jihadists networked in Turkey and got their indoctrination at a legally operating madrasa in Istanbul before joining ISIS in Syria. The case suggested Turkish authorities knew the movements of ISIS long before the investigating prosecutor issued detention warrants but decided to turn a blind eye to their activities until the Turkish army entered Syria and faced resistance from armed ISIS groups.
A suspect named Bunyod Babanazarov (aka Muslim), a 31-year-old Uzbek national, told the court on May 9, 2017 that he came to Turkey in May 2016 to attend Quran school and that he was directed to a madrasa in Sultanbeyli. He studied at the madrasa, İhlas İlim, for three months and later moved to an apartment in Pendik with other suspects. He said he was a sports teacher.
Babanazarov was involved in the recruitment of new militants, according to the indictment. He called for war in a message posted on Telegram, which he claimed he wrote in Uzbekistan before traveling to Turkey. He said in court he did not mean war literally but rather fighting one’s inner evil.
The ISIS cell had long been known to Turkish intelligence, which was monitoring the movements of ISIS but did not act until ISIS militants Babanazarov and Azizjon Bekraev, a 28-year-old Uzbek national, crossed into Turkey from Syria and settled in Istanbul, to carry out a terrorist attack. Babanazarov enlisted himself as a suicide bomber with ISIS leaders, according to the intelligence report in Istanbul Police Department records. On October 22, 2016 police raided two safe houses maintained by ISIS and detained suspects. Some were formally arrested after a month-long detention, while others were released.
Both Babanazarov and Bekraev attended the same madrasa in Sultanbeyli and lived in the same safe house after moving out of the madrasa. Bekraev, who was also known by the assumed name of Zubeyr and worked in construction, ran logistics for ISIS and provided accommodation for militants. Police found a stash of ISIS videos and pictures on his cell phone. He came to Turkey illegally some time in 2015 and trained at the madrasa in Sultanbeyli for two years.,,,

I knew it! It would not be a surprise if the government of Turkey is paying for the schools, in addition to merely supporting the ideology. Erdogan is keyed up to a white-hot intensity to TAKE OVER THE WORLD.
Don’t our politicians realize that? Why are they so unaware and uninformed?

Just like the West looked the other way at Pakistan’s backing of al Qaeda and harboring Osama near the capital, similarly they’re looking the other way at Turkey’s backing of ISIS. Note that ISIS didn’t have backing from any Arab regime: it’s backing – whether moral or logistical – always came from Turkey. During Obama’s reign, ISIS volunteers used Gaziantep to get to Raqqa, which was a lot easier since nobody in the West asked them questions if they were headed for Turkey, as opposed to Iraq or Syria. And after the Syrian Civil War, when Turkey started to get involved in its attempts to destroy the Kurds, ISIS found its lifeline again.
It took 10 years before the US could find Osama and wise up about Pakistan. Wonder how long will it take for them to see the light about Turkey?

Turkey: Islamic State jihadis from Russia, China and elsewhere were trained in Istanbul Islamic school
………….
Turkey is revealed as being more an more Islamic. Yet a lot of clueless people in the West still think of Turkey as “secular” and “moderate”. Not under Erdogan, it isn’t…

People tend to cling on to old facts about a place long after it’s ceased to be true. Like they still think of Russia or Vietnam as being communist, even though they’re not. They still think of China as being a free market, even though it’s anything but. They still think of Turkey as an ally, even though Ankara hasn’t behaved like one since 1992
Just like the cretins who think of NAFTA and USMCA as one and the same

Infidel,
“People tend to cling on to old facts about a place long after it’s ceased to be true.”
Absolutely true.
There are still people out there planning a vacation in London – expecting to see lots of people like Mary Poppins…

There are different angles to it. and I look through the eyes of a low class Western European.
First, Turkey is in manpower the second largest NATO force and Islam has been an effective power against the battle against communism.
Second, Turkey is integrated in the EU customs Union in many branches. With this, Turkey has been a steady supplier of laborers to some Western European economies, apart from Turkey being an important market for Western European multinationals, as a sales output and a production unit.
Third, Turkey has seen its economy growing, and people have been happy with that, so they have been happy with Erdogan, an islamist, and also with Islam.
The first two arguments are important for the higher echelons in society. Higher echelons live in their own quarters, and as VIP’s or government VIP’s can afford or are given better protection.
For people in the street this is a different story. The old leftists, labour union leaders and the likes where seen as positive. The new citizens, with their mosques, that is different, since in many ways you are now an infidel, a racist and too often ladies are called whores and men are called fucking Jew. Tension rises because of that, but that said, societies are robust.
Islam is founded on inequalities, between the righteous and infidels, between Muslims and Muslima’s. The divine sharia laws have to maintain these inequalities. One can argue that in a 98% Muslim society these inequalities become less important, but in a mixed society they will cause conflict. But even in a 98% society you keep problems. Homosexuals continuously have to be exterminated. People with doubts about Islam are considered mentally sick or criminal and continuously have to be hospitalized or imprisoned.
Economic inequalities will be difficult if not impossible to question, since the Islam society is inherently just and divinely good. It is no surprise that every oil or gas well (Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Brunei) country is an Islam society that adheres to the strictest form of Islam, and any question raised about any inequality is suppressed with the sword of divine sharia.
As a low class Western European I can understand that the higher classes like Islam. No questions asked, do as you are told since we rule the divine way for your own good.

Actually, Muslim populations often have high unemployment–they are costing Europe–they are nto really an asset. And this leaves aside the question of crime and Jihad.

an interesting show of the turkish which is their main practise… the war in iraq and syria is no less than part of the dreams of erdogan for the revival of the ottomaniac empire chalifate….. isis has been supported financially with wepons and with even healthcare in and by turkey from the begining of the war….. isis is the modern reincarnation of the historic ottomaniac genocides and islamic slaughter… who ever fails to understand this is sleeping deep or is deliberately turning the blind eye for economic and other reasons…

Islamic “schools” are actually violent jihad indoctrination and mind programming centers.
To provide more specific information, there are Muslim mind control places where Muslim males are thoroughly indoctrinated into the strong but blind and unquestioning faith in Koran with all non-watered down; hard core Islam with its militant jihad. Those places, “schools,” are called madrasas. In those Islamic mind programming centers young Muslim male are ingrain in the mindset Koranic dogma of the use of violence and killing for the advancement of Islam. As the Koran instructs. As in, for example, in 2:191. 9:5, 123. 47:4.
Many of those who of such center are so much damaged that they are literally dangerous to self and others. As seen many times in jihad suicide, homicide bombing/attacks. For the Koran instructs in 9:111. “The believers fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain, they kill and are killed.” Furthermore, those mind programming places also ingrain the outlandish absurd Koranic doctrine of a sex-filled paradise with many virgins, houris, in it for the Muslim male who dies fighting for the cause of Islam in the jihad. Such a strange doctrine of a houris filled- place in found in the Koran in 44:54. 55:56. 78:31.
Moreover, such Islamic mind programming centers are further explained about by the scholar Don Richardson in his book SECRETS OF THE KORAN which on pages 69,70. Informs the reader that “The world needs to be warned. At least forty million Muslim youth in the Muslim worlds’ religious schools, called madrasa, are avidly memorizing the entire Koran … These schools become breeding grounds for potential terrorists. When male students, isolated from family and friends in madrasa, reach puberty and their hormones are active, there are no girls to date. Instead, Muslim clerics easily shift to focusing the male student’s attention on Koranic verse that promises sex in heaven with dark-eyed houris. Students can only fantasize about martyrdom followed by the sexual release Muhammad promised. This is an unspeakably cruel brainwashing technique, and the Koran is its perfect guidebook.”
