WHAT ELSE...

The nice thing about our digital tickets is they can be shared with the entire household!  We've had some inquiries regarding all ages programming, so we've compiled a list of films we recommend for both the young and young at heart.
CHECK OUT OUR FAMILY FRIENDLY PROGRAMMING!

Another nice thing about the digital festival is all the newcomers we're welcoming this year!  We've sold tickets in most of the provinces, the US, and multiple continents, as well!   Whether it's your first or twenty-first KCFF, we're grateful for your interest and attendance.  We encourage you to tell family and friends about the festival and hopefully you can attend together and chat about what you've seen, even if you're living in different regions.  All films are available to Ontarians, most are available to Canadians, and over half are available to international viewers.  Check out any geo-restrictions at the bottom of our FAQ page.

In recent years we've started featuring select retrospective Canadian classics and this year will be no different.  KCFF21 celebrates the 40th anniversary of the film OUT OF THE BLUE (dir Dennis Hopper, starring Linda Manz).  The film was up for the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 1980 and takes its name from the Neil Young song “My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue).”  We’ll be playing the newly restored version of the film and will be chatting with the team behind the fascinating restoration process. Make sure to catch the Q&A after the film!  Local writer, Steve Naish, has written extensively on the film, so check out a couple of his pieces here.

REWIND FAST FORWARD CONTINUES

Episode #4 of the REWIND FAST FORWARD podcast was launched yesterday featuring Winnipeg director Sean Garrity!  It's been lots of fun putting this podcast together and laying the groundwork for more to come.  A huge thanks to our host Thom Ernst and producer Moira Demorest for their hard-work and dedication!  Thanks to our guests Jeff Barnaby, Audrey Cummings, Matt Johnson, Sean Garrity, and Victoria Lean (who will be the special guest this coming Monday for the final episode of season one).  All episodes are still available, so check them out!
