According to CNBC, TSA officers screened 1,357,111 people at airports on Friday, March 12, 2021, which is the highest number of passengers airports have seen in nearly a year since March 15, 2020.

It indicates that air travel becomes more common again now that the Covid-19 vaccine is becoming more available. On April 14, 2020, only 87,500 passengers were going through TSA. In 2020, travel was over 60% lower than that of the previous year and amounted to 324 million passengers. The information has been collected by the TSA, which screens passengers at 440 US airports.

All in all, over 12.6 million passengers have traveled by plane since the beginning of March 2021, which makes an impressive number and gives airlines hope for the upcoming industry recovery.
