The Chicago Bears will have a new starting quarterback this coming season and that quarterback will be Russell Wilson. Just kidding, it’s going to be Andy Dalton, who the Bears scooped up after attempts to trade for Wilson didn’t come through.
Bears fans were not totally thrilled with that news, as you might expect. Dalton, who played for Dallas last year and went 4-5 as a starter after Dak Prescott’s injury, signed a 1-year, $10M deal with the team.
Dalton has had a good career and seems to be a good guy but this move just doesn’t seem like one that will get the Bears to the Super Bowl. Heck, they’ll be lucky to make the playoffs.
On Wednesday, the team tweeted this photo of their new QB:
