This is great. Who would know better about the true meaning of Easter than our new overlords? Now when will SVT have on a Lutheran pastor to discuss the significance of Ramadan? What’s that? That would be “Islamophobic”?
Of course there is no reason why the imam Nasir Ahmad Arif couldn’t be an expert on Christian holidays. One need not adhere to a faith to be knowledgeable about it. But SVT didn’t invite him on because he was knowledgeable; it is unlikely that they made any attempt to determine beforehand what he knew or didn’t know about Easter at all. He was invited on because he is an imam, and his presence shows that SVT is “inclusive,” committed to “diversity,” and opposed to “racism.” Islam teaches that Jesus was not the Son of God and did not rise from the dead, and that only unbelievers (Qur’an 5:17) who are under Allah’s curse (Qur’an 9:30) believe he is divine? What does SVT care about any of that?
“SVT invites an imam from a Muslim school that separates boys and girls,” translated from “SVT bjöd in imam från muslimsk skola som separerar pojkar och flickor,” Nyheter Idag, April 5, 2021:
STOCKHOLM On Easter Eve, a teacher from Cordoba School, Imam Nasir Ahmad Arif, was invited onto SVT’s Helgstudion to comment on the Christian holiday of Easter. Cordoba School has previously been revealed to offer gender-segregated physical education. In reports to the Swedish Schools Inspectorate, the school has also been accused of several Islamist elements in activities such as small children with a veil and girls at the back during prayer, as Nyhetsbyrån revealed.
When SVT’s Weekend Studio on Easter Eve was to discuss the Christian holiday, the significance of Easter, they invited the Archbishop of the Church of Sweden Antje Jackelén – and a Sunni Muslim imam, Nasir Ahmad Arif. Mats Nyström wanted to know what Easter meant to the two invited guests.
– It is the biggest holiday of the year, Jackelén said.
– We celebrate that Jesus went the way from life, to death and the way to new life. Christ is risen.
What do you do for similar things?, Nyström wondered, addressing Imam Arif.
– Aashura. We also remember that day. So that’s something we recognize, Arif replied, referring to the Pesach of Judaism. Aashura is a holiday celebrated in memory of an imam who died as a martyr in a bloody battle in Karbala.
Imam Nasir Ahmad Arif is active at the Aysha mosque in Stockholm. He is also a teacher of Islam and responsible for the work of values at the Muslim Cordoba school.
When Svenska Dagbladet conducted a review of Muslim independent schools in Sweden, Cordoba School was one of the schools that offered gender-segregated physical education when the newspaper’s reporter, under the pretense of being a parent, called and asked questions.
In 2020, Nyhetsbyrån’s Isabelle Eriksson conducted a comprehensive review of the Cordoba School and its links to Saudi funding. The school had reported to the Swedish Schools Inspectorate and the reports talked about how extreme interpretations of Islam were spread at the school, how the children were separated during the prayers (girls at the back, boys at the front), pronounced religious elements in the education and little girls who wore veils.
Following the reports, the Swedish Schools Inspectorate carried out a targeted inspection in October 2019. This did not lead to any measures being taken against the school.
SVT’s feature received harsh criticism on social media.
Member of Parliament Hanif Bali (M) wrote ironically about how it was “good” of SVT to invite the imam.
Infidel says
Hey, look at the bright side. Imagine a non-muslim calling up the imam and telling him: ‘I’ve noticed this ugly guy w/ a beard planting posters and calling for the beheading of people like me. What do you suggest I do?’
Imam, thinking that he’s a muslim, tells him to wage jihad, and get that guy killed. Guy follows thru and then tells the cops that this imam told him to do it!
New dilemma for the cops. Do they prosecute an imam b’cos a sacred cow muslim has been killed, or do they punt on that b’cos he is an imam, and therefore should not be touched?
All this would now be possible, since imams are being asked to advise non-muslims about their religions

HAHAHA, love your twisted logic.

His school “separates boys and girls,” but he is asked to explain Easter to Christians who are celebrating the most generous and inclusionary act possible? Did he tell anyone, females-to-the-backer that he is, who was at the tomb that morning? Glad I’ve seen so much of Europe as it was and that these countries don’t need tourism income.
Infidel says
Wonder whether his school would allow trannie boys to pass of as girls, or vice versa. And if not, what will his woke pals on the Left think of him and his school: will there be cancellation calls?
Hoi Polloi says
Exactly. Do the cancellations ever swing the other way? Not that I’ve seen and that speaks to me of payoffs/funded outrage.

The only time you can trust a Muslim barrow is when he says he will try to kill you. Everything else is deceit.

Well, it really is important to know what mozlums think about and plan to do for the day.
If those celebrating Easter are aware that mozlums will use the gatherings…wherever they occur…as an opportunity for mass murders, they may be able to limit the carnage, murders, and injuries.
As for separating boys and girls in PE, that was the usual way when I was in school. In elementary school, sometimes, the teacher would have us all play softball together. Boys and girls on each of the two teams. It was quite a bit of fun. Some of the girls could hit the ball as high and far as some of the boys.
It is understandable that the mozlum didn’t wish the full information about his “school” to be made so public. Girls at the back might still be frowned upon, even in Sweden.

I consider that Islam is a clear enemy of Christianity (MUslims, as is reported here at Jihad Watch, are continually murdering Christians, especially in African countries) so I’m pretty sure that an imam is going to have a pretty nasty view of Christianity, which is the complete opposite of Islam. This sounds like disgusting sucking up to Muslims, which seems to happen a lot in our western countries. Since the Koran makes clear how much hatred Islam has towards all non-believers, such as Christians, this having a Muslim imam talking about Easter seems to make about as much sense as having a Nazi discuss liberal democracy. A Nazi would run down liberal democracy and an honest Muslim would try to run down Christianity at every opportunity, unless they decide to do a bit of lying and try to pretend that they really like Christians, which is, of course, bullshit.

Perfectly stated tim, my compliments.
tim gallagher says
Thanks, James. Islam hates Christianity or any other religion that is not islam.. That hatred is the tone that is found clearly in the Koran, so this idea of the imam talking about Easter is ludicrous. Like Wellington, I often think of Islam, Nazism and Communism as being in the same basket of evil ideologies. And Nazism certainly loathed our liberal democratic forms of government.I was also thinking that getting this imam to talk about Easter makes as much sense as getting me, a definite hater of Islam, to give my ideas about Ramadan or any other Islamic nonsense. I wouldn’t be giving a very complimentary take on anything to do with Islam. And Muslims are always going to be trying to undermine Christianity, that’s for sure. When it comes to Islam, it is them or us. There is no compatibility and there’s no getting along and there never has been and never will be.

This is almost as funny as the time I heard a Catholic priest on a radio show telling people that Halloween was devil worship.
Did they get a Pagan on to give the true meaning of the festival? Nope, just some ignoramus with no idea what he was talking about.
Same as this stupidity in Sweden.

Sweden: Public broadcaster SVT invites imam to explain the significance of Easter
…………………
Um..that Christians gather in churches and this makes it easier to bomb them?
This is a common Muslim response to Easter.

…………………
Christanity: life
Islam: bloody battles and murder
And Aashura is “celebrated” by Shia Muslims bloodying themselves and their children:

The meaning of Easter and the Resurrection to Muslims, you ask? Well, simply put, it’s the worst blasphemy for a Muslim, because the Resurrection is the principle PROOF of the veracity of Christianity.
Moreover, theologically, as the LORD of life (able to overcome death), Jesus has unequalled power and majesty, making him equal to God and therefore, the same as God. This is INTOLERABLE BLASPHEMY for Muslims, so they often conduct their jihads against full Christian churches as a DEMONSTRATION of the POWER of Islam to destroy Christians and disprove their faith.
Soon, Sweden will have churches blown up at Christmas and Easter services. The Swedes will have their own naivety and lack of curiosity about Islam to blame.
Det är IDEOLOGI, din dum!
It’s the IDEOLOGY, stupid!
Harold Mencken says
Mohammad was supposed to have flown through the air and met the angel Gabriel. You don’t believe that I’m sure. What rational person would? Although we might surmise that Mo was high on something.
But Jesus the Christ is supposed to have risen from the dead and ascended into heaven. What rational person would believe that? Answer: a rational person who had been shown a proof of the event.
You write the word proof in capital letters which suggests (maybe, perhaps) that you believe that there is such a proof. Of course you may be just pointing out what Xians believe. But if you have such a PROOF, is it some physical archaeological artefact or some compelling historical case evidence, or what? What is the proof? And of course if you are a rational person you cannot admit faith as proof.

Sweden may be the first European Nation to have their very own muslim Prime Minister and they will celebrate this for weeks.
I wonder what was wrong with the Old Sweden that caused the Swedish Government to wish to build a New Sweden as they even stated that Sweden has no real culture and they dont even know what it means to be Swedish and so they brought islam into Sweden because they are a great and ancient culture.
Are they insane or just ignorant of the ancient culture of Sweden and the destruction that islam has laid waste for the past 1400 years.

Det är IDEOLOGI, din dum!
Correct Swedish renders: Det (or ‘detta’) är (deras – e.g. islamic) IDEOLOGI, din dummer! Unfortunately enough for the coming generation in Sweden now ruled by politicians in their 30ties, a generation of ateists, cannot resist ‘islam’…since the ideology ruling – or shattering – Sweden is Socialistic…’islam’ and ‘socialism’ are in bed with each other…
The State Church of Sweden lost their power around the same era the RCC lost its…rapidly from the mid-19th-century.
The true resistance must, therefore, come from Christianity – churches are mere organizations for…’traditions’. Where do we find Christianity?

It would make a lot more sense to have a Christian comment on Easter, the imam could comment on racist mozlem pedophile sex-grooming gangs

It is very alarming that the smart westerners like the swedes STILL in the dark about the evil Islam. When I started writing about Islam in the social media on 9/12/2001, I took in considerations the lack of info about this diabolical system ISLAM At that time I could not find an English Koran to copy and past from. So, I started by typing ‘surahs from the Koran, word for word, showing & proving how violent & deceiving this system is. Of course, I got all kind of insults from both Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Mainly the Muslims threatened me with physical harm to death. The naïve non-Muslims called me a bigot, of which I confessed
‘yes, i am a bigot when it comes to Islam’ and for a very good reason THE TRUTH.
NOW, there is NO excuse for the ignorance about this OBVIOUSLY extremely hateful & violent system
AND, it is unbelievable that here are those ‘Christians’ who invite Muslims to preach in their churches, this I consider CRIMINAL

I recommend you all to watch Netflix swedish miniseries “Caliphate”. It takes into account most negative aspects of islam. Very appreciated for Sweden; I hope to see more similar productions coming on.
