Aer Lingus has operated several direct cargo flights from Germany to the US on behalf of IAG Cargo. According to Flying In Ireland, the airline has helped a German car manufacturer with its cargo relocation.

Over recent days, Aer Lingus has operated three Airbus A330 flights to Germany. The first was with Airbus A330-300 EI-GAJ that flew to Munich on Saturday as the EI9350. Two more flights were conducted from Germany to Atlanta on Sunday, with two more scheduled to take place today.

This is not the first time Aer Lingus has used their Airbus A330’s for freight flights. Last year, they flew from China to Dublin to collect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the HSE. The carrier also operated some flights from Korea. Currently, Aer Lingus uses their Airbus A330 on their evening rotation on the Dublin-London service to cater to the UK’s extra cargo.
