My new co-worker… not a fan.

Well, I do like the way he looks, the way he moves, and the way his forearms flex when he rolls the sleeves of his dress shirt up. But I hate how much pleasure he takes when he makes fun of me for using a matchmaker.

I’ve always gone after what I want. Why should love be any different?

After I find a letter in my apartment that foretells me falling for someone, our banter turns into kissing which turns into more and soon, we find ourselves hiding our work affair from our boss and co-workers.

What could be worse than having to pretend you don’t love the man you pass multiple times in the hallway every day? Finding out you’re competing with him for the promotion you’ve both wanted your entire careers and knowing that neither one of you will back down.

I stumbled upon this book completely by chance and I'm just so glad I did. Always love office romance tropes and the 'enemies to lover' element never bores me. Add more steamy scenes to the hot couple, I'm all in!!

Bold and beautiful characters, who work their asses off at work. Yet their attraction for each other is unavoidable. Even when they compete against each other, their everyday banters adds heat to their hot chemistry. When they finally decide to give it a chance between them, what they discover is so much better than what they'd expected it to be and neither of them wants to give it up. But life happens eventually, will their new found love win the race?

Hot hot hot! The sex, the characters and the set up, it's a complete package. I read it in one sitting and needed a hot shower to cool it off!!

4 star Review Good On Paper (Love in Apartment 3B #3) by Everly Ashton

Having read the first book in this series I was interested to see what Everly Ashton had in store for Marlowe and Isaac. I love the whole idea of finding a mysterious letter in an apartment foretelling finding true love.

This was an entertaining read that I really enjoyed. I love romantic comedies and this was a good example. There were numerous times that I found myself laughing out loud and my family looked at me as though I was going mad.

This is a work place romance, enemies to lovers story. The connection between them is intense and I liked the build up as their attraction grows between them, all the while trying to keep their relationship a secret from their boss and co workers.

I really enjoyed this book and the series. I'm sad to see it come to an end but so excited for Everly's upcoming series. It was an entertaining read with witty banter and intense tension between Marlowe and Isaac. Their story is pretty light and easy to read.

Fast paced. I think it did a good job of moving quickly through the typical romance plot points - easy and relaxing to read - nothing new or overly interesting. I read the first book in this series - and this was the last book - so I have read them out of order.

I liked this book, I don't know if I liked it as much as the first two. Marlowe is a writer at ON MASS, a weekly magazine, but she harbors dreams of writing paranormal romance. She struggles with the expectations of her parents and doing what is right, when she only wants to do what she dreams of. She hates work, but hates her co-worker Isaac more, though the hate she feels for him is really a masked attraction. He's handsome, ambitious, and totally full of masculine energy, though there's a hidden side of him where he never feels like he's good enough. He's teamed up with Marlowe to work on an anniversary issue of the magazine, and it's then that they begin to discover more about each other.

With the set up for this enemies to lovers romance, I didn't feel as if Marlowe and Isaac had that much chemistry. He gives her grief about using a matchmaking service, harasses her during her date, feels an attraction to her but doesn't want to ask her on a date or talk to her to work through these feelings. Marlowe's insecurity is a bit cringey here, especially during the pool scene when she's drunk (which is so uncharacteristic of her). When she does get together with him, she hides him from her family and friends, which is a bit sad for Isaac. I felt like this book was a bit rushed in getting through the story and I didn't feel as if I ever quite connected to either character. And while there's opportunity for depth (exploring Isaac's relationship with his dad and his ambition at the magazine, or Marlowe's relationship with her parents and her desire for approval all the time), there wasn't enough for me to really truly know the characters. Marlowe got what she wanted, the man and the job, but I don't fully know how Isaac benefitted here in the end.

This is book 3 in this series and it ends the series as well. It also easily stands alone. I loved how the author interwove all the characters from her previous books into this last book in the series. Its very much a romance that takes place at work and also between two co-workers that hate each other.

If you have read the books in the series then you know Marlow. She is a writer for a magazine and she trained a new employee a few months before, Isaac and through this series she has been complaining about him being a jerk.

So imagine her surprise when she is forced to work on a project with Isaac. And thats when this book gets really fun and awesome. These two love to irritate each other and well it was so much fun watching them lust for each other while hating on each other at the same time. I adored when they ended on a double date with each other.

Both characters are pretty awesome and they hesitate to share their relationship with friends and family because of how much they have shared about hating each other. And then their boss offers them a contest for a new position and that kind of screws them up.

I loved the way the book and series ends but I wanted more info on their professional life in the future. We get a conclusion on each couple but I felt Marlowe and Isaac's professional life was a big question mark. It was the only thing I felt was missing from this story. Aside from that this was my favorite in the series.

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is book three in the Love in Apartment #B series, but it can be read as a standalone. It is written in first person from a dual POV.
Marlowe is the last of her friends to remain single. She is baffled because she is the one who has always been in love with love, and she has been searching for “the one”. Meanwhile, her nemesis at work causes her all kinds of anger as she envisions popping his head off like the head of a dandelion. Marlowe and Isaac trade barbs, insults, and banter that includes quotes from Shakespeare. It is fun and is the surface presentation to an intense mutual attraction. When they end up spending more time together, respect and understanding grows along with their physical desire for each other.
I loved Marlowe. She has such a romantic heart. At the same time, she is a driven professional who is determined to achieve her goals while feeding her dreams on the side quietly. Isaac is trying to be successful at work, but he is blindsided by his attraction to Marlowe. I enjoyed reading as he falls head over heels.
I loved this third book in the series. The girls share a special friendship and I really loved that. There is plenty of heat, humor, and heart in this final book in this series.
I am voluntarily leaving an honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book.

Everly Ashton is my favorite new author. The Love in Apartment 3B series has quickly become one of my favorites. Sadly, Good on Paper is the last in this series. I didn't want it to end. I love this great group of friends.

Marlowe is the last roommate to find a letter hidden in her room. Marlowe loves love. She's a romantic and ready to find her forever, so much so she's even taken to seeing a matchmaker. Little does she realize, her perfect match down the hall, disguised as her annoying co-worker. From the moment we see Isaac and Marlowe, you can feel the chemistry radiating off them. The banter between these two is so perfect. Each denying the fact that they want each other. Once these give in...BOOM! these two are on fire.

Once these two are completing for a promotion though, another side comes out. Now, each has parental issues that they have to deal with and it affects they way they view this promotion opportunity.

Marlowe and Isaac have a genuine connection and I loved them together. This author writes rom com so perfect and this series is so unique. If you haven't read the other books in the series, you can still enjoy this one, but I highly recommend them, they are so good! I can't wait until her new series comes out.

I was intrigued with Isaac's brother Gabe. I see a story there too.....

"Good on Paper" by Everly Ashton was a charming enemies-to-lovers romance that featured likeable characters and a fast-paced, engaging plot. With her two best friends and brother all in serious relationships, female lead Marlowe was more determined than ever to find "the one." After a string of online dating disasters, she decided to enlist the help of a professional matchmaker, but no matter how perfect the matchmaker's suggestions seemed for her on paper, it was workplace rival Isaac who kept catching her attention. I loved the banter between Marlowe and Isaac, especially the way they taunted and teased each other. Their chemistry was phenomenal; they threw off so many sparks that it was amazing they didn't start a fire! When they finally stopped fighting their feelings, they were super cute together, but an unexpected twist near the end of the book created a challenge that almost proved to be insurmountable for their relationship. I really liked that the problem wasn't solved in exactly the way I expected it to be, and Marlowe and Isaac did end up happily together in the end.

Overall, "Good on Paper" was every bit as cute and fun as the previous books in the series, and I recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I look forward to whatever Everly Ashton writes next.

Good on Paper is the final book in the series about the girls in apartment 3B finding love, and I have enjoyed them all. Each of the girls had a different but sweet story, and Marlowe's was no exception.

Marlowe has always come across as very business-like and driven in the previous books. Her dating escapades, however, she got the dates, were proving fruitless. What she didn't realize was that she needed to look a little closer. We also had brushed up against Marlowe's parents in the previous book with their dealings with Keene. These two give parenting a lousy name. Although they love their children, the weight of expectations and the power of their words had a detrimental effect on both Keene and Marlowe.

Issac has his battles, and watching him fall for Marlowe is so very sweet. The antics in work and out of work are cute, and Marlowe should never be allowed to have tequila. However, the best is just Marlowe and Issac, letting go of others' expectations to be themselves. It was a highly satisfying conclusion to the series, and the author did a fantastic job of sweetly tying up this series.

Marlowe and Isaac are coworkers that have a strange love to hate relationship. Isaac comes off as cocky but of course Marlowe brings it out in him. I loved the snippy dialogue that happens between them throughout this book. Of course Marlowe thinks she is not at fault for anything that goes the slightest bit wrong at work. It’s all HIS fault. Isaac is kind of in the same boat. He just wants to do his best and succeed in the position he’s in and be able to move up. When they are assigned to work on the same project opinions may change in the most delicious of ways. I was slightly disappointed in how they handle their new feelings for each other. Although I totally understand it. Marlowe has been complaining about him to her friends since day one and knew they wouldn’t accept him into her life. They have both made a mess of how their future could be laid out.
I felt so many emotions for them both about their relationship with their parents. They are coming from opposing views but have the same outcome. They both need to succeed no matter what. I loved being on their emotional roller coaster and am sorry to see this series end.

The final story in the series! So much magic!

This was Marlowe's story. She was the last of the 3 friends who shared an apartment to find love. She too found a special letter leading her to love. Only she found her love at work with a new guy that she had to train. Only this guy starts out being a real bear to work with.

Isaac is new at the magazine and Marlowe has been given the task of training him. Not that he doesn't like her because she's actually very beautiful and seems to care about people but she seems to him to be putting herself above him. He's been treated this way his whole life so he doesn't like it.

These two just grate on each other. Then they are thrown together to work on the special Anniversary edition. Oh my, things really start to get interesting real fast.

I got a real kick out of reading about Marlowe's reaction to tequila. She's a hoot! And how Isaac saved her from herself!

These two were so fun and interesting! Isaac's dirty talk? Oh my!

Great series. The magic in the letters each of the friends read was awesome!
Thank you Everly Ashton. You ladies are so wonderful! Will definitely follow where you lead.

I really really enjoyed this book. It was my first book by this author and I wasn't sure what to expect. I've read other books with the same trope, co-workers, enemies to lovers, but this one felt better than the rest. I really believe that is the light and easy-to-read writing that made the difference, because to be honest the characters, Isaac and Marlowe, are not so likable in the beginning. However, as the story unfolds you really start liking them. Especially Isaac, he appears to have so many redeeming qualities that you couldn't think of, when you first meet him.
Don't get me started on the steaminess and the swooniness (is this a word? not sure) of this book.
I will definitely go back and read the rest of the books in this series and of course the newest book Rent a Husband (new series) that releases soonish. :)

I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Marlowe has been trying to find a guy she’s into and not wanting to go on crappy dates again. She decided to hire a matchmaker instead of wasting more time on bad dates.
Isaac was a new guy at her company that she had to train for a few months.
They started out hating each other and not wanting to work together. Then they had to work together for a new project/article; which involved going to the basement and looking in the archives.
This is definitely a workplace/hate to love romance. I really enjoyed the banter between Issac and Marlowe and then the steaminess between them later on.
I also loved the character development that both characters showed because Marlowe finally figured out what she wanted and was able to stand up to her mother. Issac decided what he wanted also and went for it. I do wish this story had ended a little better but maybe the bonus scene will answer some questions I still have.
I enjoyed this series though and will definitely miss these characters!

Finally our hopeless romantics story. Marlowe has been searching for love the wrong way for so long so when she finds her letter she finally feels some hope. But it confuses her some, is it Pete the guy the matchmaking business set her up with. Or is it the infuriating coworker that she's been having issues with since he's started. Although she has thought he is a handsome as he is aggravating.  Issac thinks Marlowe is just a priss and that she's better than everyone else. But has they get put on a project together and get to know one another more will they finally find what they each need. Or will what they both want out of work put a damper on their growing attraction. I love the way they both find themselves and each other in this book. And learn to let go of parents expectations or lack thereof and learn to live to make theirselves happy.  This series was a fun read and I loved the ending.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own. I’ve loved all the books in this series. Sad to see the series end. My husband has one complaint and that is I tend to laugh out loud too much and I wake him up in the middle of the night while reading these books. Sorry not sorry. ;-)

And don’t read them in public if you don’t want people to look at you funny while you are laughing your head off because these characters are bat s**t crazy, funny, hysterical or any other variation of funny out there.

My one complaint with this book is...no self respecting cook would ever RINSE COOKED PASTA....EVER. Do you know how many Nonna’s have spun in their grave’s?!?!?!?!? I’m crossing myself as I wrote that line... 😱

Sorry, I don’t do spoilers....just make sure you get EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!!

"I’ve gone about this all backwards. I haven’t read the first two books in this series so I can definitely say that Good On Paper reads as a stand-alone. So there’s that. But I am a bit disappointed in myself that I haven’t read the first two books in this series!!!! Something I need to rectify as soon as I can.
I adored Marlowe and Isaac’s story. It covers a couple of tropes that are go-to’s for me and are what obviously drew me to the book to begin with. But the underlying storyline for all three books is unique to me. I thought it was clever and romantic at the same time. I am honestly in awe of many authors creative ways and Everly has just added herself to this list. I will definitely be reading more from her in the future. This is my third Everly Ashton read and by far my favourite. Certainly helped that I love a good enemies to lovers, but honestly it was Isaac who won me over in this.

The newest hire at the magazine where Marlowe works, Isaac does his best to antagonize her at every moment. Even so far as to take the last donut, which is always left for her. Good thing she gives him hell as well. But what if, when a feature has them joining forces, working alone in the basement, their dislike for one another becomes, well less like dislike? More like want. Need.

Too bad Marlowe's been bitching about him to her friends and brother since he started. Not to mention the dating profiles from the matchmaker she hired.

I really liked this one. Isaac is beautifully heartbreaking when Marlowe insists on keeping their relationship secret and I just bloody loved him. Well worth the KU hire.

I loved finally seeing romantic Marlowe finally getting her happily ever after. This is the last in the series following three roommates sharing an apartment, each of whom finds a letter from a past tenant that predicts them finding true love. Marlowe is a hopeless romantic who has been trying to find true love, but the apps and the matchmaker aren’t cutting it. Adding to her stress is the hottie at work who is always getting under her skin. Isaac is new to the magazine, but is trying to prove himself. His main competitor for future promotions is the woman constantly shooting him daggers, Marlowe. They a great couple who have to get beyond their parental hang-ups to get to their happy ending. Overall, a very enjoyable read. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author for my honest review.

What a fun book! Good on Paper is just the type of feel good romance that will perk you right up! It is sweet and fun and OH SO HOT! I always enjoy an enemies to romance book and these two definitely have major chemistry, though it took me a little bit to warm up to them. Some of the decisions that they made had me wanting to shake some sense into them, but they totally made up for it when I got to know them a bit more!

All in all this is fun book to read and if you are looking for an enemies to romance with tons of steam, this is one you should check out! I give it 4 outta 5 stars and totally recommend you checking it out!

PS: Thank you to Everly Ashton and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.

Marlowe finds a letter that foretells her falling for someone but little did she know how it would all play out. She & Isaac work together and they're not so friendly as he really annoys her quite a bit until they are. There's so much humor in these pages like the previous two that I spent a lot of the story laughing my behind off. These two undertake a secret affair which they're doing their best to keep completely under the radar but you already know that secrets have a way of coming out. So now we have heat & laughs with an edge of my seat kicker as I wait for that other shoe to drop. Good on Paper is a delightfully light read that will have you laughing as you go on Marlowe & Isaac's journey! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Marlowe's turn for her letter

Marlowe's two roommates found letters in their rooms predicting that they'd find love and now she's found a letter predicting that she'll find love. She's not sure since she's had terrible luck with dating. Isaac is her rival at work. He's always saying things to irritate her. Now their boss has teamed them up for a big research project that will put them in close contact. As they work together, they find that they're attracted to each other. They decide to keep their relationship secret which ends up causing them problems. Will they be able to work through this or will the letter be wrong? I've really liked this series of books. I'm looking forward to reading more by Everly Ashton.

Good on Paper is the third and final title in the Love in Apartment 3B series, featuring Marlowe and Isaac. Their romance is an enemies to lovers, office romance.
Marlowe is a romantic at heart who is desperate to find her happy ever after, especially after her two best friends have found love. Isaac and Marlowe have more in common than they’d like. Both are hardworking, competitive, driven and determined. Their banter is witty, fun, flirtatious, and quite often antagonistic and the sexual tension between this pair oozes from the page.
Overall an engaging and entertaining read and I look forward to reading more of Everly Ashton’s work in the future.

This is the third and final book of the “Love in Apartment #3B” series and can be read as a complete standalone. It is told from Marlowe and Isaac’s point of views and includes some updates on Jemma & Oliver and Fiona & Keane.

Marlowe is a beautiful, strong, and independent woman who is looking to find love. Isaac is a handsome new coworker of Marlowe’s but they seem to have instant hate for each other. That is until they’re paired together for a special work project.

Lots of fun, laugh out loud moments as well as sweet & romantic moments. I had trouble putting this book down!

I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily giving an honest review

This was a cute little light romance. There are elements of enemies to lovers between the two main characters.

Marlow and Isaac are both headstrong characters at their workplace. They are both out to make a name for themselves and find themselves pitted against each other.

Once their chemistry blows up, it's amazing. They choose to hide their relationship from every one and it creates conflict in both their personal and professional lives.

The ending had such a twist and was perfect.

I see that this is the last in a series, I will definitely be going back through and reading the other books from this author.

I would give this a 3.75. Marlowe has no choice but to work with the co-worker she cannot stand, hot Isaac...errr Isaac. They are very similar so they will butt heads and other parts. Each of the books in this series has to do with a letter each heroine finds in their apartment. The letters in the other books were eerily accurate but this one was pretty vague and it wasn't referenced often. I felt like we were also left hanging about Isaac at the end (sorry, no spoilers!). This was a good story but I wish it had been a little more polished. This is a voluntary review of an ARC I received.

The mysterious notes in Apartment 3B have struck again in Good on Paper. This time it’s Marlowe’s turn to see if she can find true love. She is definitely a true romantic and has been searching for love for a while, but it seems she is searching in the wrong places when love is right in front of her in the form of Isaac Renshaw, the one man who pushes her bottoms and makes her crazy.
This was such a fun story to read. The banter between Marlowe and Isaac had me smiling all the way through while hoping they could over come the obstacles thrown in their way and finally find their happily ever after.
