'CROWNED CROWS OF THORNE POINT' Is the first full length dark, new adult, enemies to lovers romance book by new to me author Veronica Eden.

One look at the cover and like a kid in a candy store I had to hunt down the signup!! ๐Ÿคฃ

Twenty one year old grant student, Rowan only enrolled at Thorne Point University to be closer to her brother Ethan, and to get a degree in journalism just like him too, but now she is on a mission to uncover what happened to him as he's gone missing whilst in the midst of uncovering a story, having no leads her last resort was to ask Wren and his crew Colton, Jude, and Levi, known around town as 'The Crowned Crows' to help her get the answers to his whereabouts.

Bad boy, Wren and his band of brothers run the town, but after losing his sister to suicide his brothers are all he has left in his life. Their bond runs deeper than blood.

The deep seated chemistry between Rowan and Wren is felt from the get go which only gets more heated as you progress further.

The reason why I rated this 4 stars and not 5 stars was because I felt like it was too overloaded with information all at once, characters I didn't know and their backgrounds made appearances, which made it confusing at times because without warning they just popped up out of the blue into the storyline.

Crowned Crows of Thorne Point is the first installment in Veronica Eden's new dark romance series, with just the right suspense vibe to keep you hooked from the start. Rowan's brother has been missing for months now and she's willing to do anything to find him, including entering the crows' lair of her own free will to ask for their help, and owe them something in return.

โ€œIf you wanted to burn the world down, I would have done it for you. All you had to do was ask.โ€

Dark romance is a rare genre for me. I usually like to read it, but with zero expectations because you always find these rich kids, barely of legal age ruling their town/college/even high school sometimes, and it's VERY unbelievable, but somehow quite entertaining to read. And that happens here too, but The Crows are something else and somehow they make it work. Their sense of loyalty and brotherhood is so high, and they together are so funny, that you can put the credibility factor behind you and enjoy this book. Also, the characters...

โ‡ข Rowan Hannigan: EVERYONE MAKE SOME NOISE BECAUSE OUR HEROINE HAS A PERSONALITY!! WOOHOO! No but seriously, this girl is willing to do anything to find her brother, BUT let the crows โˆ’and especially Wren Thorneโˆ’, treat her like a toy. Rowan has a backbone, and also a wild and crazy side that's ready to go out and play once these guys welcomed her to their most intimate and exclusive circle.

โ‡ข Wren Thorne: The crows' king is lost. After executing his revenge against the one who ended up ruining his family and taking from him one of his loved ones, he no longer knows what to do more than just live for his brothers by choice and run this operation. It wasn't until Rowan came into his life that he began to wake up, seeing something in her that brought him back to life, so now he can't let her go.

โ‡ข The Crows: Did I adopt a new fictitious family, or did a new fictitious family adopt me? I guess we'll never know!! These guys are so much fun together but they also have such a cute relationship that I really love to read. Their brotherhood and loyalty to each other knows no bounds and I just LOVE that kind of found family trope.
โ†ณ Colton DuPont: the funniest one of the bunch, and you know what that means? exactly! a lot of trauma, unsolved problems and dark secrets, mark my words.
โ†ณ Levi Astor: I can count on the fingers of one hand the times this broody character speaked, but I'm already claiming him as mine! I'm sensing family issueshere, and her LI... Veronica already confirmed that one of his tropes is grumpy-sunshine, which makes pretty obvious who she is AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SPREAD THAT AGENDA!
โ†ณ Jude Morales: He loves his abuelita, is the charmering one, and he's still in love with his ex high school girlfriend, even if in the present they want to kill each other, what more do you need? me nothing.

Overall, this was a pretty good start for me; I loved the main and side characters, the romance and the subplot that's going on, so I really can't wait for the other installments!

If i have to describe this book i would say it was so OTT and forced!!
First it reminded me so much of another series i've read but this was like the bland copy.
This guys are like 21-23 year olds but they are the ruthless killers vigilanties who rule the whole town. They are privileged trust fund babies who had such a tragic dark pasts, have multiple sucessful busnisses all over and like the H wanted to say, they were self made and didn't take money from their parents๐Ÿ˜ Let me roll my eyes here first ppl๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„ that's the equivalent of kylie jenner being a self made billioner.ย

Yeah, right๐Ÿ˜

The whole book was just unbelivable and don't get me started on the h.
The plot was actually about looking for her missing brother who is a journalist and probably looked somewhere where he shouldn't so someone killed him. She goes to this guys who rule the town to ask for help to find her brother and ends up falling in love with their leader aka the H.
She was annoying af. The author tried to make her sassy and strong but she came out just as forced as this book who kept finding herself in stupid situations bc she was so dumb.

The romance? What was that?
They just bantered and had sex. I didn't see any development till the end. The H just kept everything from her, they weren't even a team. I can't tell how many times I was frustrated with them bc they couldn't communicate.๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ He would find something important wouldn't tell her, he would lock in his apartment bc that was for her protection. Then she would be mad and do something stupid. Rinse, repeat.

The only interesting character was probably Levi who i might be interested in reading his book. The others, not so much.

I hate to say this, but I'm getting SO TIRED of books like this. They bring absolutely nothing fresh or new to the table. A plot like this might have been new and exciting in 2016, but in 2021? Not so much.

Girl meets boy. Boy is rich, hot, mysterious, and part of a brotherhood which exerts an unrealistic and disproportionate amount of influence over their educational institution relative to their youthful ages. For bonus points, add some sort of underground fighting like MMA. Several doses of tragic backstory. Meanwhile, girl has absolutely nothing to distinguish her, beyond a few cliched personality points like 'redhaired and has a temper'.

I could be describing almost any book, couldn't I? Yet I'm describing this one.

I was snoozing before I'd even finished the third chapter.

โ€œBecause a king always comes for his queen. Even the reckless ones.โ€

This book was such a great introduction to Veronica Eden's new series, and I'm already in love with these new characters. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the series because the hinted future pairings sound SO PROMISING.

Crowned Crows of Thorne Point is the first installment in the Crowned Crows series and follows Rowan, a student who enrolled at the elitist Thorne Point University to be closer to her brother Ethan. After Ethan disappears while chasing a dangerous story that began in the Sinners and Saints series, Rowan is on a mission to figure out what happened to him and find him. But with no conclusive leads and no one to help her, she has no choice but to turn to Wren, Colton, Jude, and Levi, the Crows, and ask them for a favor.

The characters, the romance, the found family, the plot, the possible future pairings... I loved everything about this book and was so invested from beginning to end! The darkness and mystery of the plot were very thrilling. The friendship between the characters, and Rowan and Wren's romance fit in nicely! As much as I loved the Sinners and Saints series, I think Crowned Crows of Thorne Point might be my favorite Veronica Eden book to date, and I have no doubt that the rest of the series will be just as amazing as Rowan and Wren's story. Yes, I'm kind of obsessed with this new world and characters!!

Both Rowan and Wren are very intriguing characters who share the same darkness. Rowan has always stood up for herself and didn't let Wren control her life. She is a fierce, sassy, reckless (sometimes a little too much) but vulnerable heroine willing to do anything to get her brother back. I absolutely loved her character. Wren is also ready to do anything for Colton, Jude, and Levi, whom he considers his brothers. It surprised me a little bit because I didn't imagine that their bond would run so deep. I also liked the way Rowan threw him off balance, which brought out his softer side. Their chemistry was explosive, and together they were so much stronger. They also had so many angsty and steamy moments that made me love their development and dynamic a lot!

What I loved the most about the book was the found family trope with Rowan and the Crows. Wren, Colton, Jude, and Levi are different but very complementary characters, and their bond is so tight. The way they got close to Rowan and took her under their wing was also something I enjoyed a lot. I fell in love with all of the Crows (Levi maybe a little more) and the other secondary characters like Isla. I can't wait to read their books, especially with the hints we got for the other couples.

Overall, I loved Crowned Crows of Thorne Point, and it was a good and fascinating introduction to Veronica Eden's new series. I'm super excited for the rest to see how the plot unfolds and to learn more about Colton, Jude, and Levi, as well as the other characters!

Crowned Crows of Thorne Point is the first book of the Crowned Crows series and I absolutely enjoyed it!!

This is Wren and Rowanโ€™s story that I have been anticipating. We get somewhat of a glimpse of the crows in the last 2 books of the Sinners and Saints series but now we officially know more about them. Veronica Eden wrote these characters really well with a hint of mystery that makes you want to know more about them.

Wren and Rowan are both characters that intrigued me throughout every page. They share this darkness that they seem to understand about each other. It makes them stronger with each moment that passes by. Their chemistry has got to be one of my favorite aspects of the story. Itโ€™s full of fire that just keeps getting bigger and more fierce. I absolutely loved Rowanโ€™s character. Sheโ€™s always ready to stand up for herself and what she deserves. Besides that, Wrenโ€™s character actually surprised me. I liked the way he truly cared about the people HE considered family and protecting them at all times.

Overall I love this book and it was a great introduction to a world of darkness and mystery but also strong characters. This series has its secrets but also the friendship built between the characters is everything. The plot was very interesting to me and so were the secondary characters. It really brings a lot of possibilities for future books. I canโ€™t wait for what Veronica Eden has in store for these characters and the darkness that surrounds them.

This is just fucking boring. It keeps draaaagiiinnggg, nothing special happens till 50% except talking and describing daily routine ๐Ÿ™„ (investigation shit). Even that investigation shit is repetitive and boring. I liked Rowan cuz she was strong and sassy but so fucking reckless that annoyed me. Wren has that big dick energy which was annoying af. I didnt feel any chemistry between them, it was just so fucking boring. For real though, it was a college romance but felt more like a highschool romance cuz the characters are immature and behave like highschool kids. It seriously gave off highschool bully romance vibe and not college romance since Wrenโ€™s big dick energy felt very unrealistic, he was the leader of the group and everyone...literally everyone and their father was scared of him which really happens in unrealistic highschool bully romance where teens behave like mafia. However, things like this dont bother me much now, i am kinda used to it but the holy fuck this book was boring.

AHHH!! Where has Veronica Eden been in my life and how can I get her to move into my spare room and write me more Crow stories???? I AM OBSESSED!! Wren and Rowan were everything!!! They are exactly the kind of people I love in dark romance stories: sexy, engaging and packed with a fiery chemistry. They both gave as good as they got and never let up once! I love their passion and fight and how connected they were.

I just finished book one and am now onto the second!!! I am so addicted it isn't even funny! Goodbye World and hello Levi ๐Ÿ”ฅ Read this series if you haven't. This is the greatest KU binge everrr!!! 5 stars! ~Ratula

So i requested arc for this one. I really enjoyed .Also the start was so good. Both of characters have chemistry and the plot was okay and everything but the only thing that bugs me is the repetition. I read saints series and it was good. I find all the new boys of this series intriguing and i want to know them all. I donโ€™t overanalyze the books bcz i read for fun. Its a happy space. So the only bad thing i have to say is that the lines are little repetitive for male character. And wtf is with rowan telling wren about his big dick energy from start she even havenโ€™t seen it.I can take wren as my bf any time of the day he is hot but now I am most interested in levi.

What a dark, mysterious, and sexy start to this enticing new series! I bow to the Crowned Crow king and his feisty queen- I am already addicted to this motley crew of bad boys. Gritty suspense, morally gray characters, and scorching chemistry- the perfect dark new adult series to sink your teeth into.

Our story begins with Rowan seeking out the help of the infamous Crowned Crows, the morally grey crew of chosen-brothers that dabble in some illicit business and wield power, influence, and resources beyond their years. The crows are her last resort in finding her missing reporter brother- but their help does not come cheap- they not only trade in dollars, they trade in secrets. She captures the attention of Wren, the pseudo leader of this crew of dangerously delicious men, whose original intentions of mining her for a favor soon evolve into other motivations- spawned by their undeniably explosive chemistry.

HOLY SMOKES are these guys hot. Our leading man Wren- I can feel my ovaries swelling just thinking about him. Dangerous, controlling, domineering, and protective- he is just delicious. He starts out as very mysterious and emotionally withdrawn, but he soon starts to reveal his complexities as he falls for Rowan. And the dirty mouth on this man! SWOON. I love Rowanโ€™s sassy spirit and courage, but I especially love when sheโ€™s vulnerable. These two connect so sweetly amidst so much darkness and uncertainty and become the tether that keep each other stable. I love Wrenโ€™s beautiful brokenness, and I love how his love for Rowan makes that brokenness something powerful instead of something volatile. She softens him and breaks down his walls. And he makes Rowan strong and more securely herself - including embracing the darker parts of her that make her at home with the Crows.

Veronica is such a compelling story teller- and the tonal quality of this book creates the perfect atmosphere. Gritty, dark, enigmatic- there is a melancholic and ominous thrum that keeps your heart pounding. We have the perfect balance of suspenseful, cloak and dagger type mystery and steamy romance. The mystery component is complex and engaging- and while the CC are kings in their own right, itโ€™s clear we have some dangerous players and nefarious intentions at play- and poor Rowan has somehow been caught in the middle of it. Veronica very strategically doles out clues and calculated revelations along the way- and what started as some rich playboys dabbling in some shady business quickly becomes something far more lethal and dangerous. Veronica raises the stakes with every passing page, and weโ€™re soon faced with shocking and devastating revelations that fundamentally shift these playboys into key players in a very dangerous game. Honestly, itโ€™s like much darker and much sexier Sco0by Doo meets the Skulls- and I AM HERE FOR IT.

This novel is a master class in world building- both enigmatic and engaging. Veronica has so brilliantly created a dangerous, immoral, and alluring infrastructure and within it the seductive, enigmatic legend that is the Crowned Crow crew. The characters are magnetic-and not just Wren and Rowan. In fact, some of the secondary characters are just screaming for attention. Veronica gives them ample page time- allowing each of them to shine and hypnotize us in their own unique ways. Colton in particular is a show pony scene stealer. Stoic and lethal Levi is alluring and seemingly complicated, and the glimmers we have about Judeโ€™s potential love interest already have me ravenous for him. Each crow is uniquely interesting and has an important role to play, and the group dynamics are just as thoughtfully created as Rowan and Wrenโ€™s.

The Crows are addictive and so dynamic- I am SO excited for more from this series, and I canโ€™t to showcase a new Crow in the next book- as well as continue to figure out just what is going on with the โ€œbig badโ€- more sexy Skulls-Scooby gang please!

**While this can easily be read as a standalone, the story has roots in Veronicaโ€™s Sinners and Saint series- our hero Wren was introduced there and several characters from that series make appearances here. That said, you are easily caught up on all the relevant history between them. And, while the couple in this book has an HEA- their journey and the overarching mystery spans the entire series- so be prepared for many loose ends and lingering questions!

โ€œHe kisses as he approaches everything else-with power and control, expecting no resistanceโ€

JUST WOW!

This story captured my attention since the first pages , I literally couldnโ€™t put it down.Yes, it was that good!

Iโ€™ve read other books from this author and once again she created a beautiful story, and what I can tell is the start of an explosive series!

Wren and his brothers are something else, I donโ€™t even know how to describe them. They are darkness, madness and so much more. Everything is so intense and mind-blowing!

And Rowan, sheโ€™s one the strongest and fearless women Iโ€™ve read about so far.

Sheโ€™s the perfect fit for these boys, like she was always supposed to be one of them. Their dynamics and interactions will blow your mind. You wonโ€™t help but falling in love with all this. Iโ€™m sure.

The passion and the sexual tension is everywhere , and there are also some pretty hot moments.

โ€œShe captured my heart irrevocablyโ€

There are also some charters and some events of this story that are connected to the previous series from this author . So if you wanna get the complete picture before , I suggest you read the Sinners and Saints series . Youโ€™ll love it.

Iโ€™m not gonna spoiler anything , but you should definitely buckle up, this is gonna be a crazy ride, and youโ€™ll want more as soon as itโ€™s over. But donโ€™t you worry, because this is just the beginning !

I gave it absolutely 5 stars

my Blog

I hope youโ€™ll enjoy it like I did.

It was impossible for me to not read this book!!!
It allured me in its darkness from the very first moment that I laid my eyes on this cover!!!
Yep, the theme was kind of common.
Yep, the story reminded me some other that I have read before...
Stilll... I stepped foot into the Crow's Nest and I don't want to step out of there until the last book, cause I'm telling you that something huge is brewing in the background and I can not wait to discover it and be a part of this amazing group!!!

"If you didn't want monsters, you shouldn't have come looking in the darkness for help."

Rowan is one step before panic mode...
Her dear brother is missing for some time now while he was chasing a big story...
Rowan doesn't want to believe that something bad had happened to him, but she needs some answers about his whereabouts.
Her only choice is to go to the Crows and to ask for their help...
But their prize is too big to give and Wren, their leader, is out of blood and full of unwanted lust...

"Wren Thorne is just a jerk on a power trip. Once the Crows help me find Ethan, I don't have to see him ever again."

Wren Thorne is the King of the campus and the whole town's...
He and his boys are ruling with iron fists and they return favors in the sake of secrets...
Rowan is demanding Wren's attention and from the first time after a long time, he is breaking his rules for her...
But he doesn't trust anyone except his brothers and he had closed his heart off a long time ago...
Is he capable to help Rowan or will he make her life a living hell???

"She strolled up to monsters and put on a brave face instead of running. Her fire is the first thing to intrigue me in years. It's made me do something I don't do: break all my rules."

I loved this couple...
They were intense and I liked how well they were fitting together!!!
Rowan wasn't a damsel in distress and she knew how to hold her own and how to give back hell and that was impressive and empowering to watch...
Wren didn't know what hit him with her, but he was enjoying her wild strike too much!!!
He was cruel, controling and possessive as hell!!! But not really!!! For the people who cared about, he could be the best!!! He was a true leader and he was determined to reach the bottom of the unwanted adventure that they had found themselves in!!!

"At first Wren was a mystery I needed to unravel, then a challenge of authority that excited me, but now... he's beginning to feel like something else. Something more."

"I'm still a cold bastard who wants nothing more than to control the world around me, but Rowan has rule over a softer part of my heart. A fitting throne for my queen."

I really liked The Crows of Thorne Point...
All four guys are impressive and I can not wait to read every boy's story!!!
Also, there were happening so many things on the background and i need answers as desperately as our heroes need them!!!
I just can't wait for more!!!

"It's time to remind this city who reigns in the darkness."

College mafia is my jam. Or, at least, it normally is...

What I liked:

- the H (Wren) was an alphahole and had some good jealous/possessive moments - I liked that he was a fighter - I loved how controlling he tried to be.

- the side characters were interesting

- I enjoyed the mystery aspect

- when we finally got there, the sex was hot

- doesn't end in a cliffy

What I didn't like:

- the h (Eden) was annoying. She was that TSTL girl who is told by the H, "hey can you please not run toward this Very Dangerous Thing?" And she nods her head then sprints to the Very Dangerous Thing. She does it over and over and over. She's experienced and sexually aggressive. Not my cuppa.

- the H was MIA through much of the book. So, there was never any relationship development. He had his friends hang with her, so by the time Wren and Rowan had sex, they had hardly been on page together at all. Even after they are intimate, he leaves her for long swaths of time. She was way closer to his pals. That sucked because he had some great jealous and possessive moments but they hit funny, because he hardly knew her. It just felt like empty lines.

- it felt like the author was trying to have her cake and eat it too... she kept having the H be controlling and demanding, but then the h would be shrewish and abrasive... and she basically won everything... I don't know it just didn't work for me. It felt like he was emasculated much of time and the h just did whatever she wanted ... I know I'm supposed to want her to be an equal, but I really like the controlling alpha to be the boss. I'm not looking for a bunch of preachy feminist equality in my romance. It felt like this book couldn't quite find it's identity. One minute he's a controlling alpha, then next he's rolling over like a beta... then one minute she's purring like a kitten when he gets bossy, and the next she's all kickass and mad that the hot bossy alpha guy is being an hot bossy alpha... Meh

- for some reason the H was trying to resist the h for the whole first half of the book, which is why he was gone for most of it... but I never could quite figure out why??

- I wasn't a fan of the H's POV

- no angst

Bottom Line? Not a bomb, but not all that memorable either. โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

FOR THE SAFETY SQUAD

- no cheating
- no sharing
- OW exist in this book, but they magically disappear after the first scene with the H and h
- no dubcon/noncon

Fantastic read!

This was a really fantastic read! Lower angst, but high on the suspense and intrigue. Wonderful heroine - total take charge bad@ss that didn't bow to anyone, but was still likeable. Hero was awesome, especially if you go for over the top, jealous/possessive types. Total "mine" mentality and likes to mark her, lol. Ends on a cliffhanger, but not for the couple.

ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

line

Star Rating : 4.5/5 Stars

POV : Dual

Cliffhanger : None

Hero : Wren

Heroine : Rowan

Pace of the story : Moderate

Angst Rating : 5/10

Heat Rating : 6/10

Triggers Involved : Dark Past , Anti Hero

Plot Summary :
The only reason Rowan has enrolled in Thorne point university is to find her brother. She has no time for anything else and the last thing she wants is to snag the attention of the king of the school. Wren is someone no one wants to mess with and becoming his enemy might just be the literal death of that person. But Rowan is forced to seek out the crows as her last resort to find her brother and that might just be her end afterall.

Wren is the king of the school. Everyone fears him and the crows who are a bunch of real life anti heroes. That is until the new girl wants to strike a bargain with him. His boring life might just get a spark because he has a new toy to play with. Rowan is going to be his whether she wants to or not anf once he sets his eyes on something , there is no going back.

Overall Opinion :
I have been crazily waiting for this book! Ever since I met Wren in one of the other books of this author , I knew this book was going to be my undoing. Wren is the best anti hero ever and I can't see more of him in the other books!

This book is a standalone romance by this author and the plots of the other books will be connected so you have to read them all in order. After reading this book , I can tell that there is a lot more to come in the other books with the other characters.

Wren and Rowan are just perfect for each other. Their chemistry and love had me swooning so bad! I would definitely recommend this book to all the dark romance loving people who love high school dark romance books specially!

This was the story I had been anticipating for quite a while now, ever since we got a glimpse of them in the last two books of Sinners and Saints. I found this book a little different from other Veronicaโ€™s books maybe because it has the element of mystery and thrill that keeps you wondering.

Starting with Rowan, I actually adored her character throughout. Sheโ€™s fierce, badass but also very gentle and sweet at the same time. Rowan is basically on a mission to find her brother and ends up in Throne Point University, which has a whole different vibe of its own. She doesnโ€™t realize but she ends up making a deal with the devil.

Wren Thorn is actually a whole treat, badass confident bad boy of the town. Not to forget his brothers. They all make me so freaking excited for the series because I know itโ€™s gonna be a whole ass ride. While I love Jude and Colton but Iโ€™m so psyched about Levi.

The thing that bothered me a little was the repetition of words by Wren! It was a little uncomfortable at times but that doesnโ€™t effect the story because it was actually very intriguing.

Overall, the mystery surrounding Rowanโ€™s brother will keep you on the verge because itโ€™s actually very interesting to read. The chemistry between Wren and Rowan was just perfection. I enjoyed this book to the fullest. So so excited for this world Veronica has created, i have a feeling itโ€™s gonna be epic.

[edited to add tws] tws: dubious consent, mentions of suicide/drug abuse, car accidents, gore/death

4.5/5

ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I've been reading Veronica's books since the beginning of Sinners and Saints, and her writing/premises just get better and better with each book! This book is probably my new favourite of hers, but that might change when we get Levi's book (I love you Jude and Colton, but Levi just calls to me).

Crowned Crows of Thorne Point follows Rowan, a scholarship grant student surrounded by the rich elite at Thorne Point University. After her brother, Ethan, goes missing while chasing a dangerous story, Rowan turns to the Crows Nest for help. There, she meets Wren, Colton, Jude, and Levi; a group of "brothers" loyal to each other and willing to overlook the law in exchange for secrets or favours.

While the mafia-esque setting in the Sinners and Saint series seemed incongruous with the high school bully genre, it fits like a glove in this new series. Personally, I still have to force myself to suspend disbelief when I read dark romance like this โ€” where a group of boys in their twenties have control over institutions and towns. However, this isn't a significant turning point in my rating and is something I have to mention because it's what most affects my opinion when reading from this genre.

Another reason I try to avoid dark romance is the fact that 99.99% of the heroines are complete doormats who forgive their love interests after five seconds. However, this definitely isn't the case for Rowan. I loved how she was unwilling to let Wren control her life, though there were some instances of her falling under his spell too quickly. I do wish we could've seen more of her vengeful, gruesome side as we experienced towards the end.

The undeniable highlight of this book was the found family with the Crows and Rowan (and the hints towards which characters will pair up in the sequels). It's an incredibly rare feat to get me to fall in love with a male character, but I'm so excited to learn more about Levi, Jude, and Colton. While Wren is the typical leader of the group, Levi is the emotionless, probably-a-serial-killer one, Colton is the flirtatious, comedic relief, and Jude is the "sweetest" one โ€” if such a word can be afforded to any of these boys โ€” who's still hung up on a girl who betrayed him.

The lack of a sense of urgency became my main reason for lowering the rating. Because Rowan's flirtation with Wren remained at the forefront of the plot, it felt like there was never anything at stake in her search for her brother until the end. That being said, I did love the development of the found family trope and seeing all of the character's relationships with each other, so I can't really complain.

Based on the hints for the other couples and side characters like Isla, I'm super excited to read the rest of this series!

I was extremely lucky and honoured to beta read this beauty, and let me tell you... Y'all are not ready. This book. This world. These characters are just *chefs kiss*

This new world that Veronica has created is so deliciously intriguing and dark. I have to say, this is Veronica's darkest and best written book yet and i am living for it. I also think Wren is Veronicas most depraved hero, and ugh the mouth on this man...firmly on my knees till further notice.

Wren and Rowan were *that* couple. They were both strong and independent and so damn electric together. Rowan had so much fight and she was my fave kind of sassy yet soft heroine. The push and pull between these two *fans myself* the smut in this book...IS PURE FIRE. I'm just going to leave you with an emoji so when you finally read you'll know what I'm talking about ๐Ÿšฟ๐Ÿคค

I also loved the found family trope and the friendships between the other boys in this. Each boy is equally intriguing and delicious. The story had me engaged and it was the perfect blend of suspense and fun. I honestly cant speak highly enough of this book. I am so excited for everyone to read this and join the Crows and am ready to see where @veronicaedenauthor takes this world!

(Im so happy y'all are excited to meet him, but just a reminder, Wren Thorne is my husband, yall can read and simp but dont get too comfortable ok... hes mine ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿคง) *alexa play the boy is mine*
.

BETA READ
-Veronica has knocked this out of the park. This for me is her best book to date. She has effortlessly weaved a new more darker and seductive world and introduced us to some very intriguing characters. Rowan and Wren were a match made in heaven (or hell lol). Full rtc but im so excited for everyone to read this โ™ก

This was actuallyโ€ฆgreat. I was told this gave the hollow boys by Monty Jay vibes and they were right. Has a murder mystery so thatโ€™s the only โ€œdarkโ€ part on this.
I love the found family aspect and how they all take care of each other. Iโ€™m excited to read all these other books.
Thereโ€™s no rape fantasy or assault of any kind so itโ€™s the perfect kind of โ€œdark romance โ€œ for me.

Woah there !! Hold on a secondโ€ฆ I need a minute.

F**k my life. This is good. So very good.
If you like rich alphaholes that are protective, broody and fill their spare time with revenge, murder and all things illegal. The Crows are for you. Thereโ€™s Wren, the untitled leader of the Crows, Colt, the flirty pretty boy who hides behind god humour, Jude, the con-man family guy who adores his grandmother something fierce and then thereโ€™s Levi, the knife obsessed protector, whoโ€™s heart is carefully hidden away.

This book picks up from Savage Wilder, the last book in Edenโ€™s Saints & Sinners series, which I suggest you read first to really get a good setup for this book ( You can read it without reading g the previous series but it helps with knowledge of some of the background characters)
Rowan Hannigan is on a mission to find her missing brother, but with the police not intron the case, she turns to the Crows of Thorne Point, who seek payment in the form of a secret.
The Crows- namely Wren - agree to help, but Rowan ends up with much more than she bargained for. AND I AM HERE FOR IT!!!

Wren is so dirty and sexy and hot and swoony and his forearms?? I can only drool over those mythical beasts. Rowan however annoyed the shit out of me. Also the man knows how to have sex, good sex, I shit you not. And I am not ashamed to say it, but I want Wren sexโ€ฆ there goes my sanity again lol

I love the plot, itโ€™s not your typical romance, especially with the continuing story running through it!!

The one thing I wasnโ€™t a fan of, which you should all know by now, was Wrenโ€™s nickname for Rowanโ€ฆ which was โ€œKittenโ€ my old favourite.. not. But I can overlook it because Veronica does a damn good job at making this book fabulous. On the nickname noteโ€ฆ.SPOILER ALERTโ€ฆ Iโ€™m so down due Coltโ€™s use of โ€œBabeโ€ .. huh ๐Ÿค” who knew ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

And that ending f***********ck!!

We got a little taste of the Crows in Ruthless Bishop and then Veronica Eden really piqued my interest in Savage Wilder. And now, FINALLY, we get to meet them and find out who they are and what they are.

These guys are a blend of different personalities that like to walk on the dark side. Everyone bows down to them and they bow down to no one.

Wren Thorneโ€™s story is first, as it should be. It was the connection between his sister and Thea from Ruthless Bishop that started this. He's the King Crow as Rowan calls him.

Wren is used to getting whatever he wants whenever he wants it but with Rowan, he gets a taste of resistance and defiance. He does something he's never done before. He breaks a rule for her before he even knows her.

Wren shows Rowan a side she never knew she needed but now craves. She's hiding a secret that when revealed, brought me to tears.

I wasnโ€™t expecting nor prepared for the events to turn out like they did. Veronica Eden came to play with our hearts and emotions with this one.

I love that there is a plot that takes place throughout the series that connects everyone - well I think it will.

I love that each Crow is different. They have a different personality, a different story and I can't wait to see what's in store for each of them!

I said it before I met him and I'm standing by it - I am team Levi!

I love a strong FMC

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the beginning of the this series. While I thought the Sinners and Saints series were good, the crowned crows have exceeded my expectations by milestones!!
Rowan while she was a strong FMC, sometimes I wanted to grab her by the neck at her impulsiveness. But it did nothing to make me change that I still loved her character.
Wren, Wren, Wren!! I want so much more of him!! I love him!! Wren and Rowan are just fire!!!
Letโ€™s not forget the rest of the Crows. Colton, Levi, and Jude!! I cannot wait to get more on them!!
And of course that little cliffy we got at the end!! I need the next story stat!! I would also like to squeeze little miss Pippa by the neck!!!

It's been a few days and I'm still thinking about this story! Wren and Rowan are just everything! I fell into the world that is Thorne Point and I don't ever want to leave.

Eden does an incredible job by drawing you in slowly. The tension and angst are palpable. Eden then throws you into the darkness and doesn't let up until the last page where you're left hanging onto the edge of a cliff by your fingertips.

This is what I love about the dark new adult genre--tension, angst, steam, and the friendships that are a family you want to be a part of.

Can I just have my own Wren now please?

The next book can't come sooner because I am most definitely ready to dive back into this world very very soon!

From a brand new to me author comes a new dark college romance series that I devoured in one sitting.. so many things are going on but are they all connected? I still donโ€™t know. I can tell you that I love every single character so far. Whatโ€™s more enticing than a book about secrets and favors? Whatโ€™s more sexy than a tattooed bad boy with loads of money and connections? A Queen with nothing to lose .. maybe a king who will jump into the flames to save his Queen ..
I canโ€™t wait for book two because seriously itโ€™s so good and so delicious.. I definitely need answers and I have a feeling I have so many more questions before this series is complete but no matter because Iโ€™m in.. so freaking good!!!

I liked the mystery in this and also the JP Hero, the "sassy" heroine, and definitely their relationship and how it progressed and how it was portrayed by the end.
Can't wait to read more in this series!
