Stephen Hiltner

Stephen Hiltner is an editor, writer and photojournalist on The New York Times’s Travel desk. His work has won a range of prizes, including from the New York Press Club and the Society of American Travel Writers, which granted him their Grand Award — the prestigious Lowell Thomas Travel Journalist of the Year award — in 2022. A graduate of the University of Oxford and the University of Virginia, he joined The Times in 2016 after editing for six years at The Paris Review.
