Medicare – Medicare, a health insurance program for seniors and the disabled, is run by the federal government. This is not to be confused with Medicaid, which is overseen by the state. Legal Issues – The Governor’s office cannot interfere with the legal process. If you wish to file a complaint against a lawyer, that can be done via the Attorney Grievance Commission. If you wish to file a complaint against a judge, that can be done via the Judicial Tenure Commission.
Immigration – Unless it is regarding State of Michigan policy regarding immigration, you will need to contact your federal elected officials for concerns regarding federal immigration policy, applications for visas, and other similar issues. For assistance with these issues you may contact your United States Senators, Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow, and/or your Congressperson. Postal Service – The United States Postal Service is run by the federal government. For issues regarding the Postal Service, contact Senator Peters, Senator Stabenow, or your Congressperson, who can be found by using your zip code on the find your US Representative search site.
Social Security – Social Security is run by the federal government. For issues regarding Social Security, such as issues with a pending application for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) contact Senator Peters, Senator Stabenow, or your Congressperson, who can be found by using your zip code on the find your US Representative search site.
