WATCH: Daniel Jeremiah breaks down exactly what Bears are getting in QB Justin Fields

The Chicago Bears got arguably the steal of the NFL draft in landing potential franchise quarterback Justin Fields with the 11th overall pick. The trade-up for Fields has re-energized the Bears fan base and given them hope for the future of this franchise.

And it’s no secret why as Fields has everything you could want in a franchise quarterback — the accuracy, the arm, the toughness, the athleticism and the leadership.

NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah broke down exactly what the Bears are getting in Fields and how he believes it will translate well at the NFL level. Jeremiah praised Fields’ arm strength, athleticism, pocket movement, escapability and pro style play, which should have Bears head coach Matt Nagy licking his chops.

It didn’t take Fields long to impress during his first practices at Bears rookie minicamp back in mid-May. His first practice left coaches and media members impressed and fans salivating over the first time they’ll get to see him suit up in live-game action.

Fields looked comfortable and confident on the field, which didn’t go unnoticed by his rookie teammates.

While there are some that have advocated for Fields to start right away, the pan is for Fields to develop behind veteran Andy Dalton, who Chicago signed earlier this offseason. But if Fields proves that he’s ready — and he’s clearly the better option — we could see him sooner rather than later.
