Wednesday evening, a discussion on some of the most important and pressing issues of the day, even if they aren’t often recognized as such.

Rather than the onus being on the non-muslims to curtail their opinions ( also insert: life styles, freedom of speech or freedom of anything), shouldn’t the onus be upon the “peaceful” practitioners of the “religion of peace” to turn the other cheek & not explode into violent rages at even the slightest of offenses????

Speaking of the Garland, TX Mohammed cartoon drawing contest, was there ever a continuation of that, as RS said in that Newsmax interview, or was that the first and last of its kind?
On the story about Hatun being almost killed at a mosque, the question that struck me was: What was she doing in a mosque? If she knows everything that she does about muslims, islam, mohammed and so on, and then has the opinions that she does, then it’s obvious that she doesn’t endorse any of that. In which case, why is she a muslim and not an apostate? And if she is an apostate, what was she doing going to a mosque?
I do hope Hatun remains safe, but the real culprit, aside from those who would kill her, is a supine British establishment that thinks that it needs to open its doors wide open to islam. Jihadists who often find their home countries unsafe b’cos their regimes know them too well, find refuge there and other European countries, as opposed to a place like Turkey or Qatar or Kuwait or Pakistan. And that’s the underlying problem

Infidel, there was supposed to be another cartoon contest, organized by Geert Wilders and judged by cartoonist and Garland winner Bosch Fawstin. I had hoped to enter the contest.
There was a violent Muslim outcry and vow to mass murder Dutch people all over the world if it went ahead. They reluctantly cancelled the contest.
Here’s one of the articles on the story here at the time:
“Pakistan: Muslims call for jihad against the Dutch and infidels over Muhammad cartoons”
That was a pity. At some point, it needs to be renewed, particularly in face of the pressure from the Turkey-Pakistan-Malaysia Axis to impose shariah blasphemy laws in the name of combating ‘islamophobia’

I agree, Infidel.
But I cannot fault either Geert Wilders or Bosch Fawstin for their efforts–these are both very brave men.

We need to destroy the delusions of moslems regarding Mohammad. Islam is a made up death cult which needs to be exposed for what it is.

Truth has a tendency to provoke both Leftists and Muslims. We must aggressively stand up to both ideologies.

I don’t think drawing cartoons of Muhammad is productive. We should educate the Muslims with the Gospel–not anti-Muslim cartoons. If we get stoned, stabbed, and killed for preaching the Gospel, so be it. But preaching the Gospel and drawing Muhammad cartoons is not the same.
James Lincolnsays
Clifford Skok says,
“…preaching the Gospel and drawing Muhammad cartoons is not the same.”
That is a true statement – but they are two different issues.
At least in the United States, drawing a cartoon of mohammed is strictly an important First Amendment freedom of speech issue…
gravenimagesays
Clifford, most Muhammed cartoons criticize the violence of Islam and the “Prophet”. The idea that calling out evil is not productive is odd.
Moreover, Islam prohibits any criticism of Islam or Muhammed. Should we crush our own freedom of speech and submit to Shari’ah law?
But you are right that sharing the Gospel with Muslims–also forbidden under Islam–is a very good thing.
RegTsays
Cartoons about islam, allah, mohammed are not drawn for the muslims. They are humor/satire drawn to educate those unaware of the vile nature of islam, its insistence upon being the only acceptable “religion” (it isn’t a religion, it is indeed a death cult), its insistence that pedophilia and pederasty are acceptable, its practice of killing men, women, and children it deems “infidels” – along with men, women, and children of its own ideology whom it deems apostates or blasphemers.
It has zero socially redeemable characteristics. Even what few “good” teachings it professes, e.g. being charitable to others, only applies to other muslims, and at its heart it is a vile, filthy practice of wanton disregard for the value of others. Here is a quote from a two-volume book [“Tahrirolvasyleh”,”rules of conduct for muslims”, fourth edition, Qom, Iran, 1990], written by the old Ayatollah Khomeini, the former “Supreme” religious leader of Iran:
“A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby.
However, he should not penetrate vaginally, but sodomising the
child is acceptable.”
islam (I refuse to show any respect by capitalizing it) is a cult of death, a plague, and has been responsible for more deaths since it was first made up by some desert scum to justify his own perverted desires than any other plague in human history.

I remember the days at Speakers Corner in the late 1960s and it was great place to be as every idea and religion was out there doing their thing and everybody was discussing everything, NO violence whatsoever, no matter how much you disagreed with anybody about anything.
So, today, if I tell a muslim fellow that I believe his religion seems very violent and he then turns around and attacks me very violently for saying this, then I must ask the question… is he being a good muslim by doing so?.
Take note that today the London Booby will ARREST the one wee woman asking the questions and not arresting the muslims that disagree with her and openly wish to harm her..
My birth country, the UK, has gone upside down and Im so glad I left it for good in 1970.
London has fallen.
