- Reviewed in Australia on 16 September 2024Verified PurchaseDom and Kasey have an explosive dynamic that is off the charts hot, would love to read more on these two
- Reviewed in Australia on 19 July 2021My favourite book of the series so far. There is so much content in this book that as much as I was upset ift. finished I’m also relieved that it wasn’t rush just to get to the end. I’m going to be sitting on my hands waiting for the second part of Dominique and Kaseys story.
This series has turned out to be a great weekend read.

Unfortunately, I just couldn’t connect with this story or the characters as much as I did with the first two books. With everything being quite dramatic and over the top, and the events that were all so impactful pushed together so quickly, I couldn’t make any emotional connection to what was happening. I thought being collage based that the story professing would have maybe had the characters grow up a little bit.
Hopefully these MCs sort themselves out in the last book, but I’m not sure where the author is going to take it from here.
- Reviewed in Australia on 5 September 2021Verified PurchaseYet another fantastic addition to this series.
Loved the storyline, lots of macho testosterone flying about. With lots of sexual tension and caveman antics.
It’s written with such detail and emotion, has some great twists and steam6 scenes.
Overall I enjoyed this book, can’t wait for the next book.
- Reviewed in Australia on 24 December 2021Verified PurchaseI love the characters and how they link in with the other books & characters. Dom and Kasey have been something I’ve been waiting for and I can’t wait to read Cruel Promise! Hurry up!
- Reviewed in Australia on 4 April 2024Verified PurchaseWas enjoying it until I got towards the end of the book and it just random cuts off and goes into Kasey and Declan for a couple chapters and then sudden ends again. Not interested in picking up the next copy
- Reviewed in Australia on 29 May 2021Cruel devil is book 3 in the Sun Valley Devil High series. Dominique and Kasey's story. It's intense, dark, sexy, gripping and emotional. Dominique and Kacey's relationship is complicated. They have this attraction but they won't admit it. So instead they torment each other. After a tragic accident things explode between them but they still won't admit their feelings. Things are about to become more complicated. Even though at the beginning I really didn't like Dominique I ended up in love with him halfway through when you see a different side of him. I loved how the previous 2 couples from the first books make an appearance and we get to see an insight on what's been happening with them. There's a couple of new characters that I'm hoping we get to hear more about. Can't wait to see how Dominique and Kasey's story comes together in the next book
- Reviewed in Australia on 30 September 2021Verified Purchasewhat in the whattpad did i just read bahahha it was so rushed with the author trying to add too many ‘big events’ in such a short space of time that i was left confused as she hadn’t even finished the last one yet, it just felt unnecessary and kind of stupid

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
Verified PurchaseI've been eagerly awaiting Kasey and Dominque's story and it was worth the wait. I love these two and the story went places I didn't expect. I can't wait for more of them in Cruel Promise and thanks Daniella Romero for not making it a cliffhanger!

5.0 out of 5 stars Holy
Verified PurchaseWow. This book didn't go the way I thought it would. No matter how cliche it is, I love the whole brother's best friend & baby sister storyline. I love their animosity towards each other.
Kasey is just free being herself. She's not afraid to be different, no matter what others think. She's definitely the whole annoying little sister everyone has. She's strong minded & not willing to back down for anyone.
Dom seems very strict in all areas of his life. He does what is expected of him & he really seems like the friend that holds others together. If one is in need of help, he's who you go to.
Yea, they're like oil & and water, but I think they need each other. He needs that person to push him into uncomfortable territory. She needs to have more structure.
It's left me wondering how it's all gonna play out. For once, I'm not sure what's going to happen. I'm so ready to find out. Would recommend. On to the next!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow. A roller coaster. Can't wait to read the next book
Verified PurchaseThe story is steamy, dramatic and a little emotional. It is an enemies to lovers, brother's best friend, bully romance with a cliff hanger at the end that will make the readers want to read the next part right away. The FC is strong and is finding herself, The MC is possessive and a bully but will be liked by its readers. The story is enjoyable with some emotional moments and is a highly recommended book for readers who like this genre.
Personal Take:
I really loved the chemistry between the characters. I really liked how the author explained what Aaron (FC's older brother) was going through and how Dominique (MC) genuinely cared about their friendship. I can't wait to read what happens next.

Verified Purchase3.25 🍭🍭🍭
I hate when writers unnecessarily divide books. However… I wanna know about Deacon! And his connection with Meme. He looks like he’s gonna cause drama and the grovel 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Are we getting these two characters together?
Kasey & Dom… pleeeese, post the ending

5.0 out of 5 stars loved it BUT
Verified PurchaseThese guys need to sort themselves out!!! Kasey is beginning to get really annoying, I know she is grieving and struggling but my god! Enough already. I really think her and dom could be great together and at this point I really just want them to get a HEA like the others have! Would love Kasey and dom to have a kid and be free to be themselves. Can’t stand deacon he deffo gives me abuser vibes and I don’t like how he is trying to manipulate Kasey and try to hurt dom. All in all though good book and nice to see the others still featuring
