Archbishop Justin Badi Arama called for “an end to this senseless violence by the few in a country where Christians and Muslims live side by side.”
One wonders if the archbishop is familiar with Qur’anic teachings regarding the necessity to wage war against Christians and subjugate them under the rule of Islamic law.
“Fight against those do not believe in Allah or the last day, and do not forbid what Allah and his messenger have forbidden, and do not follow the religion of truth, even if they are among the people of the book, until they pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” (Qur’an 9:29)
“Primate of South Sudan urges prayer for Bishop of Abyei after ‘barbaric attack’ at Dungob Alei,” ACNS, May 18, 2021:
The Primate of South Sudan, Archbishop Justin Badi-Arama, has spoken out against the “senseless violence” occurring in parts of the country. He made his comments after a violent attack last weekend in the northern village of Dungob Alei, which resulted in the deaths of 13 people, with a further eight injured.
In a statement, the Episcopal Church of South Sudan said that its Diocese of Abyei sits in the most northern part of South Sudan, in “an area that experiences Islamic encroachments followed by harassment, intimidation and frequent attacks carried out by Arab Islamic militias”.
Giving details of the weekend’s violence, the Bishop of Abyei, Michael Deng Bol, said that the village of Dungob-Alei, which lies 5km north-east of Abyei town, had been “barbarically attacked by militiamen of Sudan since around 5.30 am on Sunday 16 May, killing 13 people and wounding eight others. The fighting is still continuing up to now [late Monday night].”
Bishop Michael added: “This is not the first attack of its kind. In 2020 Kolom village, 12km away from Abyei town, and Mabok Diil village, 18km east of Abyei town, were also attacked in the same way with 38 killed and 22 wounded, together with the abduction of 17 children and burning down of 77 houses including our prayer centres and medical facilities.”
The Primate of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan, Archbishop Justin Badi Arama, condemned the “barbaric attacks” and called for “an end to this senseless violence by the few in a country where Christians and Muslims live side by side”….

“an end to this senseless violence by the few in a country where Christians and Muslims live side by side”….
Obviously, not in harmony.
Infidel says
The reason this country exists in the first place was that muslims were persecuting Christians in Sudan, so the SPLA fought a long war of independence and finally got it
Having gotten it, why are there still any muslims in South Sudan? They should all have been expelled to North Sudan, maybe doing a population exchange w/ Christians in North Sudan

Spot on, Infidel.
Walter Sieruk says
The violent and vicious Muslims who are jihadists in their murderous persecution of Christians aren’t really going to get away with their destruction of Christians. As the apostle Paul had written each individual Christian is actually, in the View of God, a temple of God. For to Christians, it is written in the Bible “Don’t you know that that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s Temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.” First Corinthians 3:16,17. [N.I.V.] As in “A man reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6:7.

I am waiting for the commenter named Daniel to explain Koran 9:29 to us. Waiting and waiting ……
CogitoErgoSum says
Daniel. Oh, Daniel. Where are you? Just give me the verse in the Koran that abrogates verse 9:29 or tell me when and how verse 9:29 expired so that Muslims no longer must do as it says without being considered a hypocrite by Allah. Please, Daniel, please tell me. Surely you must know.
James Lincoln says
CogitoErgoSum,
Daniel is likely experiencing severe cognitive dissonance – and doesn’t know how to respond.
He’s likely not used to being held accountable for his words…

CogitoErgoSum, “Daniel” even replied to your post on that other thread–and just falsely claimed that he could not reply because his posts were being deleted. This is obviously false–he has been spamming the comments threads today–and he never adressed Qur’an 9:29.
CogitoErgoSum says
I think he may be telling the truth. There have a been a few times that I have tried to include a link in my comment to some information at a Muslim website and I could not get it to post. It may have something to do with a firewall or protective software that Jihad Watch uses. Still, Daniel could just answer me in his own words or tell me the name of the website so I can go there on my own. I hope he comes back tomorrow because I really am interested in seeing what his explanation is … but I don’t think he can put it into his own words in a way that makes any sense – and he knows it. There is no abrogating verse for 9:29 and it has never expired so what he wants me to see must be very convoluted.

CogitoErgoSum, there are some posts that automatically go to moderation–including those with more than two links (I often forget and get hung up this way).
This is very different from having posts deleted, though. The ones he pointed out were actually ones where he posted under a new username, and these *always* automatically go to moderation. All of these comments did eventually post.
The idea that he is being censored when he is actually spamming this site right now is obviously ridiculous.

I waiting as well ! He is just a snaky Muslim no more or less ! We Canadian Christians originally from Iraq know how evil Islam is more than any other nation in the world as we have been suffering from it ever since especially after the fall of Saddam’s bloody regime.

South Sudan: 13 Christians murdered in village that ‘experiences frequent attacks by Arab Islamic militias’
…………….
Just horrifying–the reason South Sudan seceeded in the first place was to escape Muslims enslaving and murdering them.
revereridesagain says
Charles Jacobs from the Boston area and his anti-slavery organization raised money to free hundreds of slaves in South Sudan. The UN whined that the Muslim slave owners would probably spend the money for weapons so those poor people should have been left in slavery.
Just try committing the “white savior” crime of helping people in South Sudan and see what the Woke crowd does to you. Especially if, like Jacobs, you are Jewish. Then the fangs really are bared.

Grimly true. Yes, paying Muslims is far from ideal–but this is not what causes Muslims to enslave people. I think people who free slaves are heroes.
