The promotion of antisemitism in Palestinian textbooks is nothing new, yet Western countries continue to pour their taxpayers’ funds into the coffers of the Palestinian Authority and Hamas in Gaza, effectively aiding their jihad against the State of Israel. Continuing to indirectly fund the jihad against Jews and Israel is misguided, and the EU knows this, which is likely one reason why the EU Commission tried to hide the report.
But now that the report is out, the EU will likely continue to ignore the issue in hopes that no one will notice.
“The report includes dozens of examples of encouragement of violence and demonization of Israel and of Jews.” The Palestinian Authority, in fact, Palestinian culture as a whole is based on hate and jihad against the Jews and Israel. Jihad summer camps for kids have also long been in operation.
“EU study finds incitement in Palestinian textbooks, kept from public,” by Lahav Harkov & Tobias Siegal, Jerusalem Post, June 9, 2021:
Palestinian Authority textbooks encourage violence against Israelis and include antisemitic messages, according to an unpublished report commissioned by the European Union in 2019 and obtained by The Jerusalem Post.
The European Commission kept the report under wraps after receiving it from the Georg Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research earlier this year. Brussels directly funds the salaries of teachers and the publishers of textbooks, which, the report indicates, encourage and glorify violence against Israelis and Jews.
The report, which is almost 200 pages long, examines 156 textbooks and 16 teachers’ guides. The texts are mostly from 2017-2019 but 18 are from 2020. Excerpts from the report were published in German newspaper Bild earlier this week.
The report’s executive summary glosses over the many examples of antisemitism and incitement in the textbooks, claiming that they “adhere to UNESCO standards” though they “express a narrative of resistance within the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and they display an antagonism towards Israel.”
However, the report includes dozens of examples of encouragement of violence and demonization of Israel and of Jews.
The report says the textbooks present “ambivalent – sometimes hostile – attitudes towards Jews and the characteristics they attribute to the Jewish people…. Frequent use of negative attributions in relation to the Jewish people… suggest a conscious perpetuation of anti-Jewish prejudice, especially when embedded in the current political context.”
An exercise in one religious studies textbook asks students to discuss the “repeated attempts by the Jews to kill the prophet” Muhammad and asks who are “other enemies of Islam.”
“It is not so much the sufferings of the Prophet or the actions of the companions that appear to be the focus of this teaching unit but, rather, the alleged perniciousness of the Jews,” the report states.
The report identifies “the creation of a connection between the stated deception of the ‘Jews’ in the early days of Islam and the insinuated behavior of Jews today,” calling it “extremely escalatory.” One textbook ties Muhammad’s aunt who clubbed a Jew to death to a question about Palestinian women’s steadfastness in the face of “Jewish Zionistic occupation.”….

Get Real! All Islamic Texts are about subjugating, enslaving, or killing the humankind that disagree with the first two options! no need for “special studies” to suss out what Islam is all about.

More whitewash of the murderous “Palestinian” Muslims. Just sickening.

It would be rather interesting to see a study where we see the list of things islamic culture has brought to the World at large, and Europe in particular, and then a Study of what the Jewish Culture has brought to the World at large and Europe in particular, and then a Study of what the Christian Culture has brought to the World at large, and Europe in particular and lets see who brought goodness, and who brought evil, in invention, creations, discoveries in Medicine, Science,Mathematics, etc etc etc…

What the commentator above says above is an interesting idea, and today sadly Islam contributes nothing and has gone back to the VII cenury.
However it wasn’t like that 500 years ago it was the most advanced of cultures, lead the world in science and engineering and some say that it saved the knowledge of the Ancient World for us.
Califfs would buy foreign books not burn them, fantastic advanced engineering works left behind in Spain, armies got to the South of France and the Gates of Vienna!
It is incredible what has happened to the once most advanced Islamic world, it has gone backwards, no longer do they send European princes to study at its universities. I find this change so incredible, and I can’t explain why at least part of the Islamic world didn’t carry on advancing as we did in the Christian and Western world, after all Islam is a loose arrangement while we had to fight with the Pope in order to write science with freedom.

The accomplishment of muslims to take half of Europe via force is no display of genius. The only thing to admit is that Mohammed figured out how to capture land for his benefit while convincing others to overlook all his depravity. He took an existing religion with sentimental value to many and proclaimed it almost correct. The correction was that he was a representative of a god no one had heard of before. He promised those who fought for him a share of the booty if his armies won and an almost endless supply of virgins in paradise. Yes, this happened only with the free will of hundreds of thousands of suckers but that is Islam and that is the human race.

I should have added that this not a defence of Christianity.
