It’s a jihad, he says. No one listens or understands the implications of his statement.
The single most important aspect of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the one that is most often ignored: the role of Islamic doctrine in inciting hatred of Israel. Get the details in The Palestinian Delusion.
“Former Qatari Health Minister In Ode To The Gazan Terrorists: ‘Gaza Leads The Way In Jihad And In Courage’; Its Rockets Were Like ‘Suns’ That Terrified The Israelis And Brought Joy And Pride To The Arabs,” MEMRI, June 1, 2021:
On May 27, 2021, the Qatari daily Al-Sharq published a poem by Qatar’s former health minister, cardiologist Dr. Hajar Ahmad Al-Bin’ali, glorifying the Gazan organizations for their recent round of fighting with Israel. The poem, titled “The Intifada of Laylat Al-Qader,” is written in the form of a traditional qasidah (ode). It lavishes praise on the Gazans who “led the way in jihad and in courage” and whose rockets “illuminated the earth,” terrifying the Israelis and bringing pride and joy to the Arabs. Extolling the Gazans for heeding the call of Jerusalem, and calling to “expel the filthy Zionists from Al-Aqsa,” the poem also curses the Arabs and Muslims for not coming to the Gazans’ aid.
The qasida in the Qatari daily Al-Sharq
The following is a translation of the poem.[1]
“Your rockets became suns in the evening
They were fear for them and joy for us“Awesome, they move proudly through space
Bringing calamity upon them in Tel Aviv“You shot up meteors that sailed through their skies
Frightening both devils and humans as they flew“From up high they illuminated the earth
And you [Israelis] remained humiliated underground, as prisoners“We heard the call of Jerusalem: Arise, let us help Jerusalem
And let us expel the filthy Zionists from Al-Aqsa“The noble Jerusalemite refused to abandon Al-Aqsa
And gave the Zionists a lesson, right there, in [the Al-Aqsa] compound“God bless you, son of Jerusalem, you did not fear their soldiers
And the month of fasting heighted the holiness of your Holy City“Two [lions’] dens of heroes – Jerusalem and Gaza
They brought forth lions who increased our might“Their children threw stones,
But their resolve was tougher than stone“The sons of Gaza rose up, God bless them,
They shed their blood and sacrificed their lives“O my heroic brethren, o pride of my nation
Your glorious fighting raised up our heads“Gaza leads the way in jihad and in courage
Her sons answered the call of conscience and of the Holy City“Struggle and faith and the resolve to fight,
You see that their war is fire and their funerals are weddings[2]“By Mighty Allah’s victory and grace,
The head of evil swallowed a cup of humiliation“If not for them, I would never have written a single line,
The valiant holy war inspired my heart and feeling“They shattered the infamous Oslo [Accord] – woe to it –
It was an injustice to them [the Palestinians] and a prison“Those who love Israel were disappointed,
They experienced anxiety morning and evening“There was in Palestine a people, outstanding,
Those who do not recognize them are blind, they deny the sun“We saw the Arab youth in every prison,
In the occupied homeland, they shattered the prison“But our [Arab] kin and fellow Muslims did not come forth
To succor the people of Jerusalem. Curse on them! Curse!“When called upon to extend help for Allah’s sake, they desisted
Their lack of high ambition is yet another plight“The Arab assemblies did not respond to Gaza’s calls
Their deafness to her cries makes me sleepless“I do not see “normalization” as an achievement
Our homeland was sold cheaply to our enemies“The homeland has [inviolable] rights,
Whoever betrays his people – his people shall bury him.“Palestine is in my heart and mind and blood,
I may get old and forgetful but Palestine shall not be forgotten

[2] This is a reference to the Muslim traditional belief that martyrs are wed to 72 black-eyed virgins in Paradise. The belief is based on Quranic verses promising this reward to “the righteous” (Quran 44:51-54; 52:17-20), interpreted by Muslim commentators as “the martyrs.”

Palestine is a place like Camelot that exists in myth and poetry but I’m not feeling it – at least not from this poem. It must lose something in the translation to English.

Yes–this poem is pretty pathetic.

Palestine is a geographical entity, like Mesopotamia, Levant, Balkans, Caucasus, Hindu Kush, Nubia, et al. There is no nation by that name, no matter what the majority of the world’s countries would like to pretend

About half way through reading this rubbish, I thought I was going to throw-up. One of the subjects that my wife’s thirteen year old nephew is studying in Peru is poetry where he had to write one and believe me, it is much better than this crap.

No surprise, Ray.
By the way, I seldom have occasion to mention it here, but my husband and I are both published poets. That makes this sort of vicious claptrap especially offensive.

……………..
Yes, it’s a Jihad–but there is nothing courageous about lobbing rockets as Israeli civilians, nor about hiding in schools, hospitals, and office buildings.
Then, the idea that it is the Israelis hiding underground is hilarious–it was Hamas hiding in tunnels.
Also note that the idea of not being able to murder Jews is “a prison”–just perverse.

Interestingly, Cardiologist Dr. Hajar Ahmad Al-Bin’ali is a very well educated US trained physician.

“…Education alone without common sense, accurate knowledge and moral intelligence can have all kinds of unwelcome results. Often very destructive, even lethal, results…”

That this murderous violence of the Hamas jihadists actually encourages other jihadists as an example of engaging in the violent and deadly actions for Islam’s jihad has proven the truth of the statement written by Thomas Jefferson . For he had written “man is an imitative animal.”
Mr .Jefferson wasn’t referring to Muslim terrorism when he wrote that but the essence of that statement may well apply to the copying of the evils of taking part in the murderous wickedness of violent jihad-ism

Islamic strategy in the modern era
>start a big fight
>get stomped
>casualties 20:1 against the Muslim side
>declare victory
>everyone believes you because you suicide bombed all the schools and nobody can read
>begin preparing to lose the next fight
>beg for money from the west because your territory was destroyed in the fight you started
>pocket the money and let your people starve
>blame everyone else for that
>incite all those starving people into another conflict sure to get them killed
>hang out with intellectual “elites” in America while your irregular militia people get slaughtered by an organized and disciplined army
>beg for more money
>buy a mansion in europe
>hail yourself as a true servant of Allah and proclaim yourself a heroic Mujahideen for martyring a bunch of your people
>hold week-long celebration
>profit immensely off the blood of your people

Yep–all too true.

Such a “poem” should be signed by Satan himself.
Before 1965 such people that are muslims in Gaza,Israel and Judea were known as Arab muslims, however an Egyptian that didnt even live there, decided they should be called Palestinians, perhaps so he can claim status for himself, and these muslims followed along, as they appear to be rather good at following fools.
