eBay is very careful to keep the marketplace safe from things that might offend crybullies.
Online marketplace eBay Inc. said it is working to prevent the resale of six Dr. Seuss books that were pulled earlier this week by the company in charge of the late author’s works because they contain offensive imagery.
There’s no room for And To Think I Saw It On Mulberry Street on eBay. Hezbollah though is another matter, as Aussie Dave at Isreallycool notes.
In January of this year, reader Craig noticed that an eBay seller named rentonstore was selling Hizbullah items – things like patches, flags and hats, which glorify the antisemitic Islamic terrorist group.
The eBay store in question still appears to be active, but the user who complained about it was banned. eBay, like the rest of Big Tech, is keeping the site free of Dr. Seuss books, but a safe space for Islamic terrorists.
And To Think I Saw That Hezbollah Flag on eBay.

“Safety-ism” ! Good one, Mr. Greenfield.
The impudent demand that we voluntarily surrender all our freedoms and all our enjoyment of life in the name of a purported ‘safety’ is the latest diabolical, deceitful subterfuge of totalitarians.
May I say in addition that there is actually no such thing as ‘safety’, since the notion is entirely subjective.
While risk may be measured, ‘safety’ is subjective and depends on every individual’s personal perception.
‘Safety’ (upon close examination) is revealed to be a meaningless term wide open to exploitation by amoral opportunists.

If I call you a stupid backstud, you are unscathed. If I hit you on the nose you are scathed, that is violence. The same with the nonsensical micro aggression. Micro means cannot be seen with the naked eye. In other words it only exists in the imagination

Mohammed’s ‘challenge’ to his victims (before jihad-attacking them) was ‘SUBMIT TO US and YOU WILL BE SAFE!’
Mohammed was lying.
The totalitarians are lying to us as well when they come asking for us to surrender our freedom to them.

Probably not important, but:
Does anybody here at Jihad Watch know the correct spelling of “Hezbollah”?
I’ve also seen Hizballah, Hizbullah, Hizb`allah, etc…
gravenimage says
James, even though modern Arabic is supposed to have vowels, you see these kinds of alternate spellings all the time. I often use “Hizb’allah” because it emphasizes “Allah” being part of the name, but “Hezbollah” is probably the most common spelling. Any of the variants you listed are fine.
Similarly, the most common spelling of another Jihad terror group is “Al-Qaeda”, but you also see “al-Qaida”, “al-Qa’ida”, or “el-Qaida”–with or without hyphens. More crap that under normal circumstances I would have had no interest in learning…

Thank you for the reply, gravenimage.

Reply to JL: Arabic words rendered into English are ‘transliterations’ and thus they are somewhat subjective and depend on the dialect of Arabic being transliterated.
I prefer ‘hisbollah’. Hisb = party, organized group of people. Ollah = Allah.
Interpretation of the term: The ‘political party of Allah’ is the only valid political party … so logically all other political parties must be destroyed … including all other Muslim parties.

Thanks, mortimer.

I am offended by a cult that encourages rape and molestation of children. Raping women to FORCE them into being ‘married’ against their will. They abuse and murder muslim girls and now need so kidnap non muslim women.
This is offensive.

Reply to Barbara: you must be a modern woman. Muslim women go along with all that and say nothing to stop it. That’s why it is absurd to speak of ‘Islamic feminism’.
Because the practices you mention come from Allah, you are a blasphemer because you disagree with Mohammed and Allah.

eBay Bans Dr. Seuss, Allows Hezbollah
………………………
*How sick is this*? Not as sick as Islam itself, but definitely enabling of it.
mortimer says
They globalist Leftards enable the viciousness of Islam and look the other way. The globalist Leftards are actually amoral. They worship power for its own sake.

Since I first heard about eBay as an auction site, and I’m not into auctions, never tried getting anything on eBay. And now I have a good reason never to even start
Honestly, the stage is set for 2 parallel economies in this country for starters, and maybe spreading to the rest of the world

It certainly is a weird world we are living in these days, with large numbers of people having minds that are seriously bent out of shape. The idea that Hezbollah is OK and Dr Seuss is not is, to my mind, complete insanity. But, after all, there are large parts of the populations of all our countries who believe and keep telling us that islam is peaceful, so I guess that a mob of scum like Hezbollah would be just fine and dandy with such people. Also, any mob that is anti-Israeli is very fashionable in these sick times.
gravenimage says
Yes, it’s nuts, Tim. And Dr. Suess caricatured *everyone*–his white characters are pretty silly-looking, too, but no one has complained.

Thanks for that, gravenimage. I agree with your point of view. On the way that white people look pretty silly, that would fit right in with the currently pervasive critical race theory which mostly seems to me to be anti-white racism of a ferocious kind. I wrote a long comment a bit earlier, but it didn’t go through. Maybe this one will get through. There was some message about security on the one that was blocked.

I stopped selling on eBay about 10 years ago when they changed their policies to allow scam artists — primarily, as it turned out, in China — to shake down sellers for a partial return of payments by claiming fake irregularities with items. So now they’ve graduated to state-approved censorship? I won’t be going back.
Those books would be collectors’ items.
Might as well just BURN them now.
Perhaps that’s the idea…

On the lighter side , maybe eBay has put a ban of Dr. Seuss because creepy old Joe Biden got his feeling hurt by the new Dr. Seuss type poem that came out this year. about him So here it is
“I do not like your mental haze, I do not like your leftest ways, I do no like your son on blow , I do not like you Mr. Joe.”
