My latest at PJ Media:
The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), aided by a sympathetic establishment media, has never been known for its transparency. For years, this Muslim Brotherhood-linked organization has successfully maintained near-total silence about its inner workings. A few years ago, when a non-Muslim posed as a convert to Islam, got a job as a CAIR intern, and revealed some of this sinister and unsavory organization’s private goings on, CAIR went to court to silence him. But now, this notoriously sealed-off organization has shot itself in the foot: numerous allegations of CAIR’s misconduct have been revealed in a former CAIR employee’s response to a defamation suit from her old employers.
According to CAIR’s suit, Lori Saroya, who ran CAIR’s Minnesota chapter from 2007 to 2016 and served on the board of directors of CAIR National until 2018, is “actively engaging in a systemic and continuous internet smear campaign to damage CAIR’s reputation and to cause CAIR severe economic harm.” For her part, Saroya charged that CAIR “maintains a culture of misogyny,” and “has been dishonest and misleading with its donors, whose contributions it has frequently misused for the purpose of silencing critics.” She also states that CAIR’s “leadership has been dishonest with and breached its fiduciary duties to the CAIR Board, that it has violated basic rules of good governance and mismanaged the enterprise, all to the detriment of the causes about which it professes to care.”
According to IPT News, Saroya accuses CAIR of “discriminating against women in pay and other workplace issues, and of ignoring allegations of sexual harassment.” Saroya has “documented a pattern of discrimination and abuse inside CAIR,” which includes “sexual harassment, abuse, and exploitation,” as well as discrimination against non-Sunni Muslims.
CAIR denies all this, but is it really unbelievable that people who believe that Sharia is divine law would obey its often misogynistic precepts? After all, former CAIR Florida top dog Hassan Shibly has admitted entering “into religious marriage contracts with women outside his legal marriage.” Polygamy is illegal in American law, but legal in Islamic law, as it is allowed in the Qur’an (4:3). One of Shibly’s wives, Kyla McRoberts, refused him sex one night, whereupon, according to NPR, “he told her that, as his wife, she couldn’t say no.” That also is Islamic law: a woman cannot refuse sex to her husband under any circumstances.
When even NPR, which up to now has maintained a wholly positive and thoroughly uncritical stance toward CAIR, starts talking about how bad things are there, they must be very bad indeed. NPR reported in April that “18 former employees at the national office and several prominent chapters…said there was a general lack of accountability when it came to perceived gender bias, religious bias or mismanagement. Many of those interviewed, both men and women, asked NPR not to use their names for fear of legal or professional retaliation.”
There is more. Read the rest here.

Ex-Employee Pulls Back the Curtain, Claims a Toxic Misogynist Culture Prevails at Hamas-Linked CAIR
……………
This should not surpise–CAIR is Islamic.
But I do hope this makes an impression on Americans, where pointing out that CAIR is about stealth Jihad hs done little to convince them that CAIR is not a “civil rights group”.

It’s not a surprise and of course it’s not a civil rights group , it’s the enemy within in sheeps clothing . The real surprise for me would be if something came out of it . I think that the whole incident will have no repercusions whatsoever on CARE.

The levels of arrogance that are involved to allow a culture such as this to exist are astounding.
Once again this sort of behaviour coming from mudslimes is to be expected, after all, they believe they are above the laws of man or an infidel nation.

CAIR’s members, officers, and supporters are terrorists. CAIR’s officers, members, and supporters should be treated as terrorists.

I wish Trump did designate CAIR as a terrorist organization…but like threatening to designate the Mexican cartels as terror organizations, then letting the effort lapse the next day, because of “pressure”, it made things worse and emboldened these groups. Of course, as mentioned by another reader, we have been trying to educate the Public about CAIR’s nefarious purpose and goals for years with solid evidence and nothing seems to stir Opinion against them (as nobody wants to be labeled with the “islamophobia” label)… so it might be that the only way to achieve goals is to publicize these stories as the Public can understand these injustices better… especially liberal suburban women who seem to pathologically refuse to break away from the multicultist group think.

The immense cognitive disonance a present-day Leftist/Democrat in the US of A must abide in order to not blow a mental gasket must be enormous. If I’m not mistaken, women are reduced to a mere shadow of the Western women who have equality under the law and cultural support; yet, this is not relevant to the femenists at large…apparently.
OLD GUY says
CAIR should be on the terrorist organization list. It is nothing but a money rating propaganda machine for islamic jihadist.

”maintains a culture of misogyny”
No points for being quick to notice something, but kudos for being brave enough to declare it publicly when so many of these same misogynists know your phone number and where you live.

Didn’t someone reveal a toxic treatment of women at SPLC as well?
gravenimage says
Interesting, Kepha. Do you have more information?
Donovan Nuera says
That was a big revelation several years ago that I believe led founder Morris Dees to be pushed out of the organization.

You are right, Kepha and Donovan–thanks. I don’t know how I managed to miss this.
