Yeah, what could possibly be the downside? Even if these people wage jihad in Europe, it most likely won’t be in Albania, so what’s the problem?
“Albania repatriates Islamic State women, children despite controversy,” by Stefan J. Bos, Vatican News, August 3, 2021:
After a long wait, five Albanian women and 14 children arrived in Albania from Syria’s notorious Al Hol camp.
The women had joined Islamic extremist groups fighting in Syria and Iraq. Flying from Lebanon, they were accompanied by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Interior Minister Bledi Cuci.In a statement, Rama called it “a very positive event” and pledged that in his words, “We shall not stop here.”
He made clear that the 19 women and children will be taken to a shelter in the western port city of Durres. There, police and social experts are making medical and psychological examinations. That is to be followed by a quarantine period, after which some may be allowed to rejoin their families.
Rama did not reveal whether the women would be prosecuted for possible war crimes and other atrocities. Sunday’s transportation of the women and children was the third effort to repatriate Albanians from the war-torn territories in Syria. In October last year, five Albanians were repatriated, while a child returned to the country a year earlier.
Authorities believe a few hundred Albanian men joined the Islamic State and other groups fighting in Syria and Iraq in the early 2010s. Many were killed, and their wives and children are stuck in Syrian camps….

Has Albania undergone any transition from Communism to islam? In the 90s, when other East European countries were becoming free countries, I’m assuming that Albania, being a protege of China, didn’t go thru the same process? So when would they have undergone such a transition?

Infidel, the majority of Albanians are Muslim.
The highest figures I have seen for Atheists, meanwhile, are under 10%.
Robster says
Albanians are predominantly Muslim due to the Ottoman empire take over as the Turks moved north to take Europe but were stopped at Austria. During Communism they weren’t allowed to be religious, but after Communism ended in the mid 1980’s, Islamic countries started sending imam’s to grow their religion once again. I was there with the Jesus Film project during the 1990’s and found Albanians weren’t religious at all. They were like an open slate that had been stamped with a culture whether Muslim, Catholic, or Orthodox, few knew anything about their family religion. I believe the restrictions of Communism left them vulnerable to religious extremism

Thanks for that account, Robster.

I don’t know about China, but Albania has been (and still is) a puppet state of USA for the longest time, much like “Kosovo” which was forcibly wrested from Serbia. It sits on the biggest deposits of depleted uranium in Europe — the same depleted uranium 20+ tons of which was dropped on Serbia in 1999 NATO bombing whose the plane carriers were being stationed in Albanian part of the Adriatic Sea. “Coincidentally”, Albanians consider the Orthodox Christian Serbs as their ideological enemies who stand in their way of the Great Albania Project. Connecting the dots yet?
As for the origin of the Albanians, no one knows for sure where exactly do they come from since their language and genetics have absolutely zero relation to any Indo-European group. The Human Genome Project puts them somewhere south of Caucasus, which most likely indicated that the Ottomans moved them to the Balkans to faster muslimize the local Greeks and Slavs. But if you ask any Albanian, they will tell you they were the indigenous people of the Balkans since the first amphibian organisms started crawling out of the Primordial Soup, much like how the muslims claim the same but for the entire planet.

How does welcoming back Islamic State Jihadists make you a “puppet state of the US”? Moreover, Albania was an Iron Curtain commumist state until just a couple of decades ago. Very strange claims.
LB says
I never said Albania was ALWAYS America’s (read: CIA) puppet, perhaps I should’ve made that more clear. That was only the case from the 80’s and it remains to be the case even today. Before that, Albania was indeed communist, just like almost all central/eastern European countries were after WWII.
Today, USA flags are flying all over Albania and Kosovo because it was (and still is) their benefactor in their “fight” against the Serbs. Starting with the breakup of Yugoslavia, Bosnian-Serbian war, all the way up to NATO bombing of Serbia, USA was always on the side that benefited the Albanians (i.e against the Serbs).
During the KLA (Kosovo “Liberation” Army) guerrilla warfare (night raids of Serbian towns and villages) against the Serbian civilian populace on Kosovo that lasted throughout the 90’s, there were several known organ harvesting human chop shops, the most famous one being known as “The Yellow House”, whose beneficiaries were mostly Americans. It was an open secret back then, almost as if bragging and asking the Serbs “Yeah, we’re butchering you, what are you gonna do about it with USA backing us up?”
“Bondsteel”, the second largest USA military base in the world is in Kosovo, and all the ore mined from Trepca (the biggest mine in the Balkans located in Kosovo), as well as all depleted uranium deposits in Albania belongs to the USA. So yes, Albania and Kosovo were, and still remain today, USA’s puppet states. What more proof do you need?

I didn’t know the prime minister had had a lobotomy ?

Edi Rama was baptized Catholic, and has hinted that he is agnostic–but he leads a Muslim-majority nation, so this pandering to Muslims should not surprise.

pandering to, and fear of

Likely so, Ade.

Now that Western countries are busily toppling – or at least effectively permitting the toppling of – their statues, a lot of space is being freed up for new ones.
What better way of filling it than by erecting statues to Islamic State brides? Wouldn’t cost a lot either: one burka-clad figure looks pretty much like another. Just design one, mass-produce it, and stick them where Winston Churchill, Christopher Columbus and George Washington used to be. Just imagine the accolades you’ll receive from the MSM!
You’d be nuts NOT to do it! lol
Infidel says
Why not build a statue of Mohammed, packed w/ explosives, and then put it up there in a city square – preferably a blue city. Then the Antifa, BLM and even Jihadist vandals (since having an image or statue of Mohammed is verboten in islam) can go and try to destroy it, and get blown up in the process? ?

Statues are un-Islamic!

@gravenimage:
During the “transition” period – from “kufar” to Islamic – we can expect all sorts of self-contradictory nonsense from the ignorant “woke” crowd and taqiyya-spounting Mohammedans.
It will only be when the “Caliphates” are firmly established that the Western lands will begin their settled status…
…as New Afghanistans.

You are quite correct.

Bringing isis rood mares and their crotch goblins back to your country is tantamount to national suicide.
This may sound harsh, however I believe they should be left in the hell they helped to create.

Albania brings back Islamic State women and children, prime minister calls it ‘a very positive event’
……………
Of course–what could be better than inviting hordes of Jihadists into your nation?

‘a very positive event’
Indeed…
POSITIVELY DANGEROUS!
POSITIVELY NUTS!
