What is known about Saudi involvement in 9/11 is damning enough. The 28-page section of the 9/11 report detailing Saudi involvement in the September 11, 2001 jihad attacks was finally released in 2016 (albeit with substantial portions still redacted), and it is now clear why one president who held hands with the Saudi King and another who bowed to him worked so hard all these years to keep these pages secret: they show that it is highly likely that the 9/11 jihad murderers received significant help from people at the highest levels of the Saudi government.
The report states that Omar al-Bayoumi, who “may be a Saudi intelligence officer,” gave “substantial assistance to hijackers Khalid al-Mindhar and Nawaf al-Hamzi after they arrived in San Diego in February 2000. Al-Bayoumi met the hijackers at a public place shortly after his meeting with an individual at the Saudi consulate.”
Another possible Saudi agent, Osama Bassnan, who “has many ties to the Saudi government” and was also a supporter of Osama bin Laden, boasted that he did more for al-Mindhar and al-Hamzi than al-Bayoumi did. He also “reportedly received funding and possibly a fake passport from Saudi government officials.” The report says that at one point, “a member of the Saudi Royal Family provided Bassnan with a significant amount of cash,” and that “he and his wife have received financial support from the Saudi ambassador to the United States and his wife.”
That ambassador was Prince Bandar, about whom the New York Times later noted: “No foreign diplomat has been closer or had more access to President Bush, his family and his administration than the magnetic and fabulously wealthy Prince Bandar bin Sultan of Saudi Arabia.”
Then there was Shaykh al-Thumairy, “an accredited diplomat at the Saudi consulate in Los Angeles and one of the ‘imams’ at the King Fahad mosque in Culver City, California,” who also “may have been in contact” with al-Mindhar and al-Hamzi.
There is much more. The report redacts the name of “another Saudi national with close ties to the Saudi Royal Family,” but notes that he “is the subject of FBI counterterrorism investigations and reportedly was checking security at the United States’ southwest border in 1999 and discussing the possibility of infiltrating individuals into the United States.” There is no telling who this could have been, but Prince Bandar’s unlisted phone number turned up in a phone book of Abu Zubaida, “a senior al-Qa’ida operative captured in Pakistan in March 2002.” Abu Zubaida also had the number of “a bodyguard at the Saudi Embassy in Washington, DC.”
The report also mentions a CIA memorandum that “discusses alleged financial connections between the September 11 hijackers, Saudi Government officials, and members of the Saudi Royal Family.” This memorandum was passed on to an FBI investigator; yet “despite the clear national implications of the CIA memorandum, the FBI agent included the memorandum in an individual case file and did not forward it to FBI Headquarters.” Why?
“9/11 families to President Biden: Don’t come to our memorial events,” by Courtney Kube, NBC News, August 6, 2021:
Nearly 1,800 Americans directly affected by the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks are opposing President Joe Biden’s participation in any memorial events this year unless he upholds his pledge to declassify U.S. government evidence that they believe may show a link between Saudi Arabian leaders and the attacks.
The victims’ family members, first responders and survivors will release a statement Friday calling on Biden to skip 20th-anniversary events in New York and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon unless he releases the documents, which they believe implicate Saudi officials in supporting the acts of terrorism. The group says that as a candidate Biden pledged to be more transparent and release as much information as possible but that his administration has since then ignored their letters and requests.
“We cannot in good faith, and with veneration to those lost, sick, and injured, welcome the president to our hallowed grounds until he fulfills his commitment,” they wrote in a statement obtained by NBC News.
“Since the conclusion of the 9/11 Commission in 2004 much investigative evidence has been uncovered implicating Saudi government officials in supporting the attacks,” the statement says. “Through multiple administrations, the Department of Justice and the FBI have actively sought to keep this information secret and prevent the American people from learning the full truth about the 9/11 attacks.”
Among the documents the group seeks are supporting evidence found during a widespread FBI investigation into the attacks that examined alleged Saudi links and was completed in 2016.
Brett Eagleson, whose father, Bruce, died at the World Trade Center, said he and his cosigners “collectively are at our wits’ end with our own government.”
“We are frustrated, tired and saddened with the fact that the U.S. government for 20 years has chosen to keep information about the death of our loved ones behind lock and key,” said Eagleson, who is among a group of victims’ relatives who filed a federal lawsuit accusing Saudi Arabia of being complicit in the attacks.
While the 9/11 Commission report found that Saudi Arabia had been a “problematic ally,” particularly when it came to sharing intelligence, the investigation found no evidence implicating Saudi leaders in the attack.
“The Commission staff found no evidence that the Saudi government as an institution or as individual senior officials knowingly support or supported al Qaeda; however, a lack of awareness of the problem and a failure to conduct oversight over institutions created an environment in which such activity has flourished,” the report said.
It did, however, identify Saudi nationals as a major source of funding for Al Qaeda. The Saudi government has denied any connection to the attacks.
Eagleson said he is convinced that senior leaders in the Saudi government knew about the planned attack and did nothing to stop it.
Among the evidence he cites is the 2017 sworn testimony of former FBI Special Agent Stephen Moore, who was in charge of the Los Angeles Task Force Team for PENTTBOM, the FBI’s investigation of the 9/11 attacks.
“Based on evidence we gathered during the course of our investigation, I concluded that diplomatic and intelligence personnel of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia knowingly provided material support to the two 9/11 hijackers and facilitated the 9/11 plot. My colleagues in our investigation shared that conclusion,” Moore said in his affidavit.
The administrations of George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump also declined to declassify supporting documents, citing national security concerns. The Trump administration invoked the state secrets privilege in 2019 to justify keeping documents classified.
“Twenty years later, there is simply no reason — unmerited claims of ‘national security’ or otherwise — to keep this information secret,” the group wrote. “But if President Biden reneges on his commitment and sides with the Saudi government, we would be compelled to publicly stand in objection to any participation by his administration in any memorial ceremony of 9/11.”…

If there was nothing to hide .. Biden wouldn’t be hiding it

There’s this, there’s the attempt to derail the Maricopa county audit as well as other investigations into election irregularities last November. And of course, the way they bring the lid down on any exposure of Hunter’s activities
Only thing: Biden doesn’t have to hide squat, when the entire media (barring Newsmax and OANN) is doing it for him. I won’t even count Fox: w/ Mike Lindell having pulled his ads from there, I doubt that the Tuckers and the Gutfelds will be there for much longer
James Lincoln says
Infidel,
I agree with Mike Lindell:
Shame on Fox!

Stunning is the moral destitution, cowardice, and thorough lack of principle of American leaders. The Saudis must be amazed by the cowardice and complicity of American leaders and their gutless Administrations. Could it be worse than now with the contemptible, blank-brained and evil Joe Biden, spineless Anthony Blinken and other low-grade humans in control. If Trump wouldn’t release this information, who will? Is this how highly oil is valued or what else is it that is behind this disgusting state of affairs.

That’s very interesting!
On the news here in Australia it was reported that sleazy Joe didn’t attend the memorial services due to the ongoing Chinese plague problems in the US.
More lies and more BS from the white house?
mortimer says
Joe-mentia wants to let the jihadists know he is not ‘Islamophobic’, so he is not attending. His absence will embolden the jihadists.
Hoi Polloi says
Good start. And only then if he apologizes fully and appropriately for comparing 9/11 to every “tragedy,” air quotes intended, on a daily basis and declaring it all far, far worse than the tragedies these families endure to this day.
gregbeetham says
Of course the Saudi government was involved, they were involved with the al-Qaida terrorists in Afghanistan before the 9/11 WTC suicide attack, they could have bumped off a bunch of Arab rats at a desert meeting in village in Afghanistan between important persons from Saudi Arabia who ostensibly were ‘unknown’ and Osama bin Laden in the 90’s but Clinton declined to give the okay to obliterate the village, the rats escaped and 9/11 subsequently took place.
mortimer says
There is really only one way that Al Qaeda could have phone numbers of people at the Washington Saudi embassy and that is that they were working with Saudi intelligence.
OBL escaped his final fate many times. There are upwards of 200,000,000 Muslims who at one time supported him.
Rob Porter says
Spot on gregbeetham! The CIA and Northern Alliance had the al-Quade camp with Osama bin Laden and his henchmen surrounded and were ready to go in when cowardly Bill Clinton, Sandy Burger, Madelaine Albright and others decided that ‘people would get killed’, so called off the attack. The disgusted Northern Alliance leader told the CIA leader in Afghanistan that America had cowards for leaders. He was right – and instead of al-Quade terrorists dying, almost 3,000 died in the WTC and other 9/11 attacks. And now Western cowardice continues with Muslims allowed into Western countries where they rape, assault, throw acid in faces, stab, parasite and murder, while politicians and media cover-up and attribute violent Muslim behaviour to mental disorder.
gregbeetham says
I think a huge problem is that none of them do proper research or consult with someone who is an expert on the subject of Islam so they revel in their ignorance and apply western values where they don’t belong and wonder why nothing works out according to expectation.
They are currently mystified as to how the Taliban is retaking the country so easily. My guess is the government forces don’t identify with a nebulous concept like democracy because there is no religious cause involved so how can Allah support it? Therefore the government forces don’t have the commitment and are defeated before they start, and anyway the government is as corrupt as the day is long, not many want to fight for it.
Infidel says
The reason for the 9/11 families to ban Biden (and they should toss in Schumer and Pelosi as well) should be the odious comparisons of 9/11 w/ 1/6. Other than that, Biden is not guilty of what Bush did in allowing several Saudis to fly out of the US in the days following 9/11 while all air traffic was closed, and he’s only half guilty of what Obama continued. In which case the 9/11 families should have told both Bush and Obama that they weren’t welcome at any of the observance events
I missed this one: did President Trump de-classify the redacted parts of the 28-page section on Saudi involvement?

It wasn’t “several Saudis” allowed to fly out of the US following 9-11, the number I’ve heard is around 200.
These Saudis were picked up around the country at various airports and even the FBI was not allowed to interview them.
Trump did promise to release the redacted sections of the 9-11 report concerning the Saudis if elected but soon reneged on that promise and went sword dancing in SArabia, weapons catalogs in hand.
Under pressure from citizens and 9-11 survivors, Trump tried to release those pages from the 9-11
Report before he left office but was stopped by AG William Barr because of “security concerns”.
Since the US Govt. prevented the Saudis from being interviewed by the FBI and is still withholding vital information, it looks like a deliberate attempt to obstruct justice.
The continuing coddling of SA over a 20 year period following 9-11 is beginning to look like complicity after the fact in the greatest case of mass-murder in
American history.
The US Govt. needs to be held accountable.

There is only one solution to the Middle East problem which was spoken by Ann Coulter– “We should invade their countries (ESPECIALLY Saudi Arabia), kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren’t punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That’s war. And this is war.”
Infidel says
I actually agree w/ this. Consider what was done to Shintoism in Japan: emperor worship was outlawed. The same ought to be done to what’s essentially Mohammed worship: that ought to go by the wayside as well
Donovan Nuera says
If we had captured Hitler’s corpse, Truman and Gen. Ike would NOT have given it a “respectful burial” , Patton would have affixed it to the front of a Sherman tank turret and parade it back along the crowded roads to Paris to the cheers of our Allied soldiers and civilians and then sail it up the Thames to Trafalgar Square to hang it on a pike.
Donovan Nuera says
Coulter was right. In Hoc Signo Vinces

Why is our Government protecting the Saudi’s? Oil and money!
Infidel says
Under our last government, at least oil was no longer a constraint, thanks to fracking, ANWR and the Keystone pipeline, all of which have been stopped by the senile Marxist-wannabe in the White House. As for money, we had all the Saudi money we wanted as a result of our arms deals w/ them – which too they had to sabotage. Since this government thinks nothing about rising energy prices and resultant inflation, it should have no issues letting the hammer drop on the Saudis
Walter Sieruk says
No sensible person of clear contagion will blame the surviving family members of those murdered by the Muslim terrorists of al Qaeda for not wanting that pro-Islamic awful man Joe Biden to attend any planed 9/11 memorial events .
Even regardless if he release information on the Islamic kingdom of Saudi Arabia involvement in that jihad network murderous affronts which occurred on September 11, 2001.

Meanwhile ….still no trial/conviction/hanging of Khalid Sheihk Mohammad…. whom we have had in custody since 2004. Stupid Liberal pro-bono activist lawyers and boneheaded JAG.
7 years still have not okayed Maj. Hassan ‘s death penalty for Fort Hood massacre after fingered by 53 survivors as the ONLY GUNMAN!! Does it really take lawyers at the Pentagon 3 years more than the actial trial length to decide???
Donovan Nuera says
On 9/11, everyone burn the Saudi Shada War Banner Flag in public. It is a Constitutionally-protected protected form of protest. If liberal islamophiles show up, make them defend the killing of Apostates, FMG, wife beating, child marriage-rape, and beheading 700 Jews at Khaybar…9/11…Fort Hood… Gulani massacres of Nigerians…. book haram…ISIS….. enslavement in North Africa…. and dare them to explain the idiocy of the Koran.

We might want to think about the evidence – especially the Havlish case, here: https://iran911case.com/ – https://iran911case.com/exhibit-6/ – for the Iranian & Hizballah role in the 9/11 attacks….the Tehran regime has never, by any one of four U.S. presidents, ever been named & held accountable for conceiving, directing & executing the murder of some 3,000 Americans that day
