Daniel Pipes, President and Founder of the Middle East Forum, rightly described the libelous branding of Jihad Watch as a “violent extremist” organization by the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism as “repugnant & absurd.”
In a tweet, Pipes identified Jihad Watch as a “mainstream conservative group,” even though toxic “progressives” and Islamic supremacists have worked steadily to marginalize the site, along with many other news sites.
Pipes tweeted:
In a PJ Media article: Terrifying: The Big Tech Overlords Target Right-Wing ‘Terrorism,’ author Tyler O’Neil chose the right word to describe the Jihad Watch branding: “TERRIFYING.” Yes, it is terrifying that Jihad Watch, which “exposes the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts,” would be categorized under “violent extremism” for calling out human rights abuses in the name of Islam.
The research behind the database cites the far-left smear factory the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and brands one of the SPLC’s conservative targets a “violent extremist” group.
Meanwhile, the SPLC is rife with its own internal issues of racism and sexual harassment.
It is countries such as Turkey, Iran, and Saudi Arabia that hunt down dissidents as “extremists” and “terrorists,” as a means to silence them, sometimes permanently. Such oppression has no place in America or any other free country.
The Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism is harming victims of jihad terror by protecting the perpetrators of Islamic terrorism. Its “repugnant & absurd” designation of Jihad Watch will not stop withJihad Watch. Those perpetuating such propaganda will continue to try to defame and deplatform every conservative, full fascist-style.

This attack is another good thing.
An instructor of mine in the army told me “you know your doing your job right, when the enemy try’s to kill you”.
This is no different, Jihad watch is a threat to islamic expansionism and they will try and kill it off, one way or another.
BRING IT ON DICKHEADS!

Middle East Forum Founder describes designation of Jihad Watch as ‘violent extremist’ as ‘repugnant & absurd’
…………………
Grotesque–Jihad Watch has *never* endorsed violence. The idea that pointing out violence in others is–somehow–advocating violence oneself is indeed repugnant and absurd. Kudos to Dr, Daniel Pipes’ speaking out here.

To Muslims, verbal criticism of Islam is worse than every crime … worse than pedophilia of Mohammed, worse than the tortures committed by Mohammed, worse than the genocides ordered by Mohammed, worse than robbery or enslavement.
Words are punished by DEATH in Islam, whereas vigilante MURDERS of kafirs are praised and rewarded.
Muslims who murder civilians have schools named after them.

All too true, Mortimer.
Jim says
The truth hurts. Muslims know that sharia is incompatible with Western values, and so they try to sneak it in under cover of suppressing free speech, so that we will not know what they are doing. This is like what the schools are doing in teaching CRT and 1619 Project instead of American history in the traditional sense. They are selling an ideology that appeals to Attila the Hun and Mongol conquerors, things that perhaps soldiers in the Roman army might have found too extreme.
tim gallagher says
Spot on, Jim, with that first sentence. Muslims hate anyone who is telling the truth about islam, and Robert Spencer and his fellow contributors here at Jihad Watch are constantly telling the unvarnished truth about evil islam, so they are bound to try to try to stop the truth getting out there. Robert Spencer has been doing some of the most important work anyone could do in trying to wake people up to the evil nature of Islam for years. What amazes me is that almost everyone hasn’t woken up to islam’s evil nature by now. I feel pretty well every non-Muslim person with even half a brain should have woken up by now.
Jocelynn Cordes says
I know. I mean, how much violence does an ideology have to produce before people wake up to its malevolence?

Spot on Jim!! Well Stated!

Global Internet Forum website:
They say, in reference to their Values….
‘In every aspect of our work, we aim to be transparent, inclusive, and respectful of the fundamental and universal human rights that terrorists and violent extremists seek to undermine.’
They violated every one of their ‘values’ by calling supporters of Jihad Watch violent extremists. It’s crystal clear they are a MB front organization. I wonder why the geniuses at Microsoft, Airbnb, Amazon, Facebook etc… can’t figure it out?
Mike says
and thus Islam at every step pushes Islamophobia
Islam can say what ever they want but god for bid others do
gregbeetham says
Well, JW doesn’t have a paramilitary arm that murders disbelievers like the accusers do and hasn’t committed any violence so where does the terrorism idea come from? Could it be that the real murderous terrorists and their protectors, Google, YouTube, Twitter, MSN and various governments don’t like being exposed as the hypocrites they are?
Ban Islam.
Jim says
I think athletes should be required to take citizenship classes and antißCRT and antiß1619 project courses. They should be fined a big amount of money for taking the knee or other anti-American displays. Perhaps they should b disqualified from individual events or competition for a year. They need to learn they represent America, not the BLM or Antifa or Communist party or the Democrat party. They should be warned in advance of what penalties they face for disrespecting their country. If they do not agree to comply with such rules, they should not be allowed to compete for America. Maybe they could compete for China or Russia.
James Lincoln says
Jim,
If US athletes compete for China or Russia, they should give up their US citizenship – and leave the country…

Absurd to slander a group which CONDEMNS all terrorism as ‘terrorists’.

Don’t panic !
I have a theory that this sort of horse shit is about
“being seen to be doing something about the far right”
while at the same time allowing the average Joe on the street
to continue to have access to reliable information
through the back door
Maybe the MSM are just too afraid of their staff being molested
and their buildings being bombed to allow us to have the truth directly
Had there been a concerted effort in place to keep us in the dark
we would all have been silenced long ago
I don’t fully believe this myself, but the pieces fit

Many on the left are in denial of Islam being a danger at all.

GIFCT is yet another MB front outfit set up to spread, cover up and protect the so-called religion of peace.
That’s why they accuse JW of “violent extremism” because it exposes them.
It is a total projection of their own evil mindset in typical jihadi style.
“Smile at the infidels with hatred in your hearts” What an evil command.
The real violent extremists are those who advocate violence against the “infidels” just like Muhammadans and their boot licking sycophants.
The real reason Jihad Watch is being accused of what Jihadists do is simply for exposing the true nature of this evil death cult. They don’t want Westerners to find out their true intentions, to impose their wretched, Sharia by hook or crook and therefore the need to “cancel” Jihad Watch.
The hypocrisy of these evil doers is boundless, just as their stupidity.

Alfredo, it turns out that the 30 member countries include Algeria, Nigeria, Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan, The UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, And Saudi Arabia–many of them Jihad terror sponsoring countries in themselves (most of the rest are European nations). So the possibility of their being honest actors seems unlikely.
Jocelynn Cordes says
Mind boggling. I am inspired to write an Op-ed for my local paper asking some basic questions, such as:
“Would a watch-dog group monitoring MS-13 be considered violent extremist?”
“Was Human Rights Watch a violent and extremist group?”
I mean, really, is there any difference?
gravenimage says
Good questions.
