My latest in PJ Media:
Biden’s handlers are talking about bringing 30,000 Afghan refugees into the country and the U.S. Catholic Bishops are excited. Bishop Mario E. Dorsonville, auxiliary bishop of Washington and chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Committee on Migration, and Bishop David J. Malloy of Rockford, chairman of the USCCB’s Committee on International Justice and Peace, issued a statement calling on the government to hurry, and make the arrival of these unvetted migrants from a jihad terror hotspot a top priority. What could possibly go wrong?
With admirable understatement, Dorsonville and Malloy wrote: “We have known that the withdrawal of American forces and evacuation of vulnerable Afghans, including those who supported our military or worked with NGOs and other organizations, would be a complicated process that had the potential for instability in Afghanistan.”
“A complicated process that had the potential for instability” is a nice way of saying “an appalling human catastrophe of poor planning, wishful thinking, and woke politics,” so give the two bishops points for diplomacy. But they want action: “The images and videos coming out of the country are difficult to view, as people make life or death decisions in desperation. We are particularly concerned for all those requiring evacuation, as well as Afghan women and girls, who risk losing opportunities gained over the last two decades and now face potential mistreatment.”
The bishops announce that the Church is ready to help: “For the past few weeks, staff from the USCCB, Catholic Charities, and other partners have been at Fort Lee in Virginia, assisting the U.S. government in the welcoming and resettlement of SIV applicants and their families. We will continue that work as long as necessary until those who are in harm’s way are brought to safety.”
But time is of the essence: “The government’s goal to relocate as many as 30,000 SIV applicants to the United States remains a monumental task that hangs in the balance. We know that time is of the essence to help our brothers and sisters in need, and we call on our government to act with the utmost urgency, considering all available avenues to preserve life. We also join the Holy Father in praying for peace in Afghanistan—‘that the clamor of weapons might cease and solutions can be found at the table of dialogue.’”
There is more. Read the rest here.

The Liberal US Catholic Bishops do not represent Roman Catholic Thought on taking in Thousands of Barbaric Afghanistan Murderers, Male & Female.
But a Solution might be for each of these LIB/DEM CATHOLIC BISHOPS TO OPEN THEIR “Palaces” to the new Population of CHRISLAM Or whatever religion the Bishops Follow, now.
Let the Bishops act as HOST FOR THESE INNOCENT AFGHANS, who want to be part of the US GRAVY TRAIN.

Though a devout agnostic, I nonetheless have a great respect for the Roman Catholic tradition at its best, examples being Gregorian Chant, Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque architecture (this last being the architectural “answer” to the Protestant Reformation, which reformation I also have respect for because it bared man directly before the Christian God and thus was more compatible than Catholicism with the principles of democracy first developed by the ancient Greeks—but I digress), virtually the entire Italian Renaissance (yes, even “nasty” Popes like Alexander VI who still knew great art when they saw it), the intellectual architecture of Erigena, Anselm, Aquinas, et al.—and so on.
But something terribly wrong has happened to the Roman Catholic Church which deleterious origins can be traced to that monumental and unnecessary tragedy called Vatican II (!962-1965). Right now, unlike in so many previous centuries, the Roman Catholic Church is no longer at its best a beacon of moral rectitude, or of common sense, or even of self-preservation. In short, the Roman Catholic Church is presently a shell of itself if even that. I mean when you can’t even identify something inimical to your own best interests, as Islam surely is to all of Christianity, then why should you be respected? Seems to me there is “no best” left in Catholicism, speaking here in the aggregate.
Maybe the Roman Catholic Church can make a comeback but I rather doubt it. If it can no longer identify pure evil as evil, which Islam surely is, then what hope is there for any institution or organization, whether religious or secular? Ah, the present Democratic Party of the USA comes to mind here too—but I digress again.
Mad era we live in. Surely.

Yes, I am not a Catholic however I hoped that the bishops and cardinals should fight islam, which is an anti-christ movement, that hate all Christians, Jews and other non muslims.
And the worst of all is the pope who is a Ciommunists und he washes feet of the muslims.
The Catholic should do something about it.

As a staunch TRADITIONAL Catholic…
There isn’t snowball’s chance I’d ever trust ANYBODY vouched for, by the current crop of liberal nut job bishops.

Yes we put our faith and trust in God. These idiotic Bishops cannot be trusted and should not be supported in any way.

Anyone know how many people Jesus invited to move into His mother’s house?
CogitoErgoSum says
I know Jesus fed about 5,000 people one time out in a field (and He did it only once). I don’t think the gospels mention a time that Jesus invited someone over to His or His mother’s house for a meal. Jesus talked about a different kind of food that was for the spirit and not for the body. Also, Jesus was a carpenter but as far as I know He never built a house for the homeless and only talked about preparing a place for His disciples after He had gone to His kingdom someplace that was “not of this world.” Jesus placed His emphasis on things that were spiritual and not physical. I wish these bishops would do that too. If they don’t (or won’t) do that, they are doing more harm than good.

Any mention of American citizens being brought home? In St. Louis County, MO today We got our first batch of unvetted Afghanis. No vote, just more overreach from the crooked county exec trying to distract from his ridiculous attempts to jail anyone for not wearing a mask.
Eleanor says
Wait for it Stacy – there will be a fundraiser by all the do-gooder citizens to build them a Mosque – that’s if there’s not one in your County yet.
Check Burry says
There will already be one or more.

Eleanor, I count at least 20 Mosques in the St. Louis area. There are probably many more.

I don’t think we should take any of these Afghani Muslim invaders into any of our western countries. They will turn out to be the usual trouble makers, terrorists, rape gang members and welfare bludgers. When I saw the news coverage on TV of those Afghani men chasing the plane and then the interior of the plane with all those men (no women) I thought, oh, here we go again, these maggots desert their wives, etc, leave them to the Taliban and piss off away from Afghanistan. It is so often the same with the Muslim men invading various European countries. Invading, mostly young men, and they are nothing but trouble. Maybe later on, once settled in a western country, they’ll then want to bring their wives and kids. Leave Muslims in their own Muslim countries. As for these Christian leaders, they should know that basic islam tells its followers to hate and try to kill non-Muslims, including Christians. These Christian leaders need to wake up to Islam’s nature..
gravenimage says
Yes–that there are almost no women among these “refugees” makes no sense at all–just military-aged Muslim males.
CogitoErgoSum says
I wonder how many of them are Afghan army deserters.
gravenimage says
Good question, CogitoErgoSum. Prepare for another round of “green on blue” Jihad–this time in the American homeland…
tim gallagher says
The fact that there were only men, the usual invading young male maggots, was what struck me instantly, gravenimage, when I saw the footage. But the lack of women was no surprise at all. After all, the women would at home, covered up in the burqas, and not allowed to go out anyway. I did think, I wonder if there a lot of other people who were thinking exactly as I was. This morning on the radio here in Australia, a caller rang and said exactly what I wrote up above, and added what a bunch cowards these men running away and deserting their wives are. The presenter, a very good presenter who I admire, named Michael Mclaren, said that he had thought the same thing when he saw the news footage. Our countries have to stop being so dumb and stop continuing to let Muslims in. It’s a Muslim invasion that goes on and on. I bet you are right there, CogitoErgoSum, plenty of army deserters would be among the people who were let onto that plane.
gravenimage says
Thanks, Tim. As I have noted before, the usual refugee stream is made up of women, children, the elderly, disabled, and non-combatants like monks. Military-aged men are far less common, and almost always accompany families when they do appear. Able-bodied single military-aged men are unusual–and this has been true throughout human history.
tim gallagher says
You are right about the usual refugees, gravenimage. I saw these men in Afghanistan and thought, these people will be a disaster for any country foolish enough to let them in. Our countries are run by such slow learners. These Muslim men seem to be part of the neverending Muslim invasion of all our countries. I’d love to see a ban on any Muslims getting into any non-Muslim country. It would give them a stark choice. Leave islam or you stay in your crappy Muslim counties. Of course, you could never trust them to be genuine in saying that they had ditched Islam but I still think it would be a good idea. Let them know how much we hate islam.
savvyone says
Perhaps the Bishops haven’t heard….Muslims hate Catholics and all Christians. They caused over breeding in Mexico and South America, by forbidding their people to practice birth control: thus the population overtaxed the resources.
You don’t see the Catholic Church taking care of the excesses, do you? Or maybe I am wrong.
I believe that the biggest problem in the world is too many people. Food, water etc., lacking in many countries. And then there are the criminal social problems that have been escalating exponentially.
Have you heard what China is doing with their human wastes? Taking it out by ships and dumping it in the South China Sea! If true, that is an abomination and needs intervention by NATO.
I believe the Taliban wants to be rid of the people they are letting out. It will free up resources and send ‘bad boys’ to Europe and U.S. to further destroy and overtake us all, just like ISIS sent millions to Europe to do the same.
tim gallagher says
I agree, savvyone. I’m sure that these men getting out of Afghanistan are an invading army and the Taliban would be very pleased to see our western countries being foolish enough to take in these invaders. Also, as you say, Christians are hated by Muslims and have been for 1400 years, so you would think these Christian leaders might have got the message by now. There has been 1400 years of Muslims murdering and oppressing Christians and other non-Muslims and everyone should have go the message about islam’s evil nature by now, especially these Christian leaders. Some people just never seem to learn.
Check Burry says
Tim, I totally agree
tim gallagher says
Thanks, Check Burry. As I said up above, when I saw that rabble running along beside the plane and then inside the plane, I immediately thought, these are not people that any country would want being granted asylum. They’ll turn out to be a barbaric bunch of trouble makers in the usual Muslim way. When will our countries learn?

U.S. Catholic Bishops Urge Biden to Act with ‘Utmost Urgency’ to Bring 30,000 Afghan Refugees Here

Infidel says
What’s it w/ Catholic churches and immigration? Note that this pro-immigration stance preceded the current pope
CogitoErgoSum says
I think it’s because of the idea that Jesus was like an immigrant Himself. He started out life fleeing from persecution at His birth and then grew up to become a poor wandering prophet without a home at the end of His life. But as I mentioned above He no doubt had a home, or at least his mother Mary had a home and He could surely have gone to stay with her at any time He wanted. I guess it’s because Jesus talked about showing love to the poor and the stranger that now everybody thinks that He meant to extend that to bringing even people who hate you into your own home. Personally, I don’t think Jesus meant it to be taken that way and when He said to give all your riches away to help the poor it was because it was to be done in order to follow Him. How helping Muslims helps people follow Him is something I still haven’t figured out just yet.
Infidel says
If that’s the case, how is it unique to Catholics, and how are Orthodox and Protestants not clamoring for more immigration?
CogitoErgoSum says
I don’t think that it is unique to Catholics. There are Protestant denominations that think the same way. They just don’t get the publicity that the Catholic bishops do.
Raja says
Infidel,
There are lots of Christian churches that have crazy man made doctrines. (Christianity has no room for such, going by what Christ and his apostles stated and practiced).
When it comes to doctrine, Catholic church is the worst in terms of violations followed by many denominations condemned by the bible. Traditions too have their part in the doctrinal decay of the Christian churches. These weirdos are easy targets for islam as they are not rooted in any faith. For most part of Catholic history, they were forbidden to even read the bible, such was the stranglehold of the clergy and not it is not surprising that Francis and many clones of him pop up every now and them.
To sum up, clamoring for more immigration is inversely proportionate to the Christian doctrine or “Christian understanding” the “faithful” are rooted in. I am sure you will see this pattern yourself in the light of the above theory..
gravenimage says
CogitoErgoSum is right. There are also Lutherans and Episcopalians involved in this ideocy. I’m sure there are others.
Raja says
CogitoErgoSum,
With all due respect to you,
The rich ruler was asked to sell all his property and give to the poor was specific (to that person) because we are told that he lacked something, as he was legalistic and his heart was on the wealth he had. This again is in harmony with the Lord’s teaching that you cannot serve two masters.
CogitoErgoSum says
Yes, Jesus told the rich man to give away everything and to become one of His followers. Now, how does giving away everything I have so that somebody else can follow Muhammad help others to follow Jesus? What if those people despise Jesus and giving them money helps them persecute the followers of Jesus? Also, Jesus did not say the rich man was condemned for not giving away all his wealth. He said it would just be harder for him to get to Heaven but Jesus did not condemn the man to Hell for not impoverishing himself. I say being rich in itself does not make a person bad – and being poor in itself does not make a person good. In my opinion learning the difference between what is good and what is evil is what it’s all about and sometimes just giving your money away indiscriminately can result in evil. That’s what I have learned anyway.
gravenimage says
I think you are right, CogitoErgoSum. But of course inviting in invaders *should* be recognized as a very different thing.
Billy Corr says
Is the U.S.A. short of rapists, car thieves and drugs dealers? I remember being impressed to read of the Afghan “refugee / asylum seeker” who had been in Britain for less than a day before he tried his first rape.
The Catholic clergy should content themselves with torrid sexual encounters with their altar boys rather than bothering their heads about facilitating immigration – which, in any case, will be paid for by the U.S. taxpayers.

Methinks you’ll find the answer in Luke 10:25-37.
The inn is a metaphor for His Church. He set it up.
Like you I find it very short sighted to invite enablers of terror into ones home.
Hank says
The Hungarian President once said “It is better to bring the help there, than to bring the problem here” So, it would be a good idea to roundup these Bishops and send them to Afghanistan to help. They’ve been loading 600 people per flight recently.
Since Pakistan has now effectively taken over their neighbor Afghanistan after trying for years, some of these Bishops could also be flown there to help with the aftermath of that campaign too.
So, instead of Mosque building here they could also do some church building and planting there too.

There will be quite a few tali,s out of uniform, amongst the jet hitch hikers, if i can call a bag of rags a uniform. On BG News a few minutes ago they were asking UK folk Would you take in an afghan refugee 3 out of 4 said they would but didnt have the room, if they do, many will regret it, as muslim ideas of behaviour in the home will have to be accepted by the Brits, or else. They will gradually filter in the needs for more islamic ways be adopted into an English home. Beware. No music, laughing, dancing folks.

As with the U.S. Sothern Border ‘Crisis’ – I kept wondering why so many ‘Catholic charities’ were mentioned being involved. Now after reading this article it’s clear – that the Catholic Church wants to get in on the $$$ action. Is it just me or is every major institution in the world about wrecking their countries borders and culture ?

”considering all available avenues to preserve life”
So corporate pedophilia is interested in saving human lives, is it? How about bypassing all those kumbaya inter-faith meetings of religious power brokers where you praise a so-called fellow Abrahamic ”religion” as being a religion of peace regardless of the contents of the koran and the rants of any imam conveniently located in the Western state of your choice.
Walter Sieruk says
Those US Catholic Bishops are very unlikely to become any of the people who might ,in the near future , become American victims of crimes or actions of Islamic terrorism committed by the Muslim refugees from afghanistan.
OLD GUY says
It appears that the migration of people from their home countries is PROFITABLE for the agencies and groups that contract with the government to help provide services to the new migrants.
It also appears that the homeless problem won’t go away for the same reason, it’s profitable for those groups and particulary their leaders who make big bucks running these organizations.
If you fix these problems in society these organizations are out of a job, so maybe they want more refugees and homeless to keep the money train running.
Yep we need millions of more migrants to support and help. Just maybe we should help them in their home country or let their government take care of their own.
If we had not been in Afghanistan for 20 years this problem would not be with us today.

These unmarried and so called bishops don’t even qualify for the office of bishop.
1 Timothy Chapter 3:
1 It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do.
2 An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
3 not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money.
4 He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity
5 (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?),
No wonder they are so stupid.
GFF says
May I humbly suggest that these Bishops read Sonnet 94, to a mirror.
somehistory says
Acts 3:6 “Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” New International Version
Supposedly (obviously, I do not agree nor believe that anyone does). the “pope” sits in the position of responsibility that Jesus gave to the Apostle Peter, and the “bishops” follow the “pope’s” direction, so the question is: Why do they go way, way beyond what the Apostle Peter and John did when asked by this man for money?
Peter and John did not give the man money. They did not strip off their clothing and give those things, They didn’t take him to their homes nor give him any material things, but they gave what they were authorized to give: They healed the man and they spoke the “good news of the Kingdom” as instructed by Christ Jesus.
These so-called “bishops” are not following the Christ nor His Apostles who lived with Jesus and learned directly from Him.
Christians are commanded to “preach the good news of the Kingdom,” and follow all of God’s commandments in the way to live. Nowhere are Christians told that they must allow such people as these mozlums are into their homes or put their lives at risk to give them stuff.
In fact, the Apostle John (2 John 1:10) said, “if one does not bring this teaching….the Truth about Christ, His Kingdom and Sonship…do not invite him into your homes or say a greeting to him.”
mozlums don’t “bring this teaching” about Jesus Christ. They lie about the Son of God, and about God Himself. No way should Christians “invite” these into their homes.
Raja says

Good to see you posting again.
Yes, too much of Leftism and other wonky ideas of it has made the West look very stupid.
They should consider common sense, justice and seek God instead of seeking their own ideas.
Romans 1:28 to 32
28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,
29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips,
30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful;
32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.
Walter Sieruk says
It’s very unlikely that any of those US Catholic Bishops would be a victim , in the future , of any violence carried out by some of those Muslim refugees that they want be allowed to enter the USA.
