The Sky were back at practice Thursday morning and coach and general manager James Wade said the energy was great.

Candace Parker, who left Tuesday night’s game against the Dallas Wings with an ankle injury did not practice Thursday.

“She’s day to day,” Wade said. “She’s going through rehabilitation and doing a lot better.”

Parker suffered her second injury to her left ankle this season when Wings forward Kayla Thornton clipped her making a cut under the basket with six minutes left in the third quarter.

After being helped up from the court, Parker limped to the bench on her own before heading back to the locker room. She emerged in the fourth quarter with ice on her ankle and both knees.

Whether or not Parker is available for Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Lynx, Wade has plans to switch up the Sky’s starting five. Following the team’s four-point loss Tuesday, Wade said they had given their lineup a chance.

“We’re still in the process of evaluating [who the starting five will be],” Wade said.

The Sky are 11-11 and in sixth place in the league standings heading into their Saturday matchup against the fourth-place Lynx.

“When you win and lose and win and lose that’s when you have to have the best energy,” Allie Quigley said after Tuesday’s loss. “It’s something we have to fix, end of story.”
