Make You Miss Me Kindle Edition
But twelve years later, she finds herself divorced, settling into a new home, in a new town, with a new job as an elementary teacher trying to pick up the pieces as she goes.
On top of struggling to cope with the future she always wanted versus the one she’s been dealt, she soon realizes that her new neighbor is a strict, stone-faced man she’s all too familiar with.
Lieutenant Colonel Fletcher Miller.
The man once in charge of her ex-husband’s unit.
And as if the reminder across the street of what she lost wasn’t painful enough, she also becomes his young son’s teacher.

"The journey in this book isn't about finding love to heal,it's about healing to find love that will not break you down." -Ashton, Goodreads reviewer
"Make You Miss Me was at times emotional with characters thatare realistic, that had issues and were not afraid to face them;although this was my first book by B. Celeste, it will not be my last." -Erin, Goodreads reviewer
From the Author
Heremains quiet for a long stretch of time. The only sounds that fill the roomare our steady breathing and the refrigerator running on the other side of thewall. When he does answer, it makes the organ in my chest squeeze. "I want totell you yes and make a big statement about the first time I ever met you, butI'd be lying. You were on another man's arm. His wife. And no matter thenatural beauty you have, then and now, the way you've always carried yourself, always smiled at everybody no matter who they were, and brought light intothose people's lives, I was never going to look at you beyond that. Not whenyou were with him. Not when I had no right to."
My heartpounds so hard I can feel it thumping in my ears.
Hefinishes me off with two sentences. "If love at first sight existed, there isno doubt I would have fallen deeply in it with you. No matter how wrong."

Stevie honestly is one of my favorite heroines ever. She's strong yet vulnerable and her flaws are what makes her character that much more relatable. She could be me, you, or someone you love who's world has been rocked off its axis leaving them trying to move forward to something brighter ahead. I loved that Stevie bared all sides of herself showing just how resilient, brave and amazing of a woman she truly was.
Fletcher Miller was what book boyfriends are made of. Kind, patient, understanding and completely devoted to Stevie. Through all of Stevie's struggles he was the calming presence right there beside her showing through actions just how much he truly cared. His love was the kind that makes us feel invincible and capable of achieving anything we set our minds to- one that's forever and always.
Stevie and Fletcher's love story was an emotional slowburn that had my feelings all over the place. It tugged at my heartstrings, made me shed a few tears, laugh, hope and swoon hard. Make You Miss Me was a raw, gritty, and moving story that captivated me right until the last page that left me with the biggest grin.
I have to say I thought I thought Stevie’s story was one way but I was actually quite surprised on Page 1 when her story became even more real and sad to me. And once you find out what her story is I think a lot of women will find it so relatable. I liked watching her find herself and realize what she deserved.
Fletcher…sweet Fletcher. Perfection. I know the author is a big Mariana Zapata fan too and Fletcher gave me Dallas from Wait For It vibes in the best way. A man who has the patience to wait for the woman he knows is for him. Fletcher would give her all the time Stevie needed because that’s the kind of man he is..loyal, steadfast and honorable. And don’t forget sexy!!!
This is slow burn but not so slow you don’t get some steam and sexy times.
Overall, just an absolutely amazing book. This is definitely a 5+ star book for me and I would highly recommend.

Watching Stevie find herself after a painful divorce was inspiring. Watching her go through the pain of dating mistakes, and omg I can’t believe I did that, to finding her forever love? Incredible.
I loved how B Celeste also represented autistic children in a positive light. As an autism mom, I know for a fact not everyone does this and I’m so grateful for it.
This book is a definite must read if you love any of B Celeste’s other books!
For the first time in her life, she is on a journey of self discovery and healing after coming out of a relationship that defined half her life. She slowly but surely learns to stand on her own two feet, gain confidence, love herself, go after her goals, make choices and get control of her life.
Redefining oneself after a long relationship is hard, so very hard. And the road to healing is paved with mistakes and sorrow. Stevie's struggle is very relatable, raw and emotional.
40 something Fletcher is her ex-husband's former C.O. and an amazing guy all around. They are neighbours and Stevie is his autistic son's 5th grade teacher. To be honest, Fletcher seemed out of this world to me. He was so patient, so understanding and so empathic towards Stevie's struggles. He really saw her helped her and truly loved her. He is my kind of book boyfriend, the kind that shows his love through actions not just words.
The romance between Stevie and Fletcher is really slow building. Maybe some will consider it too slow. But not me. Because that's what made it real and relatable to me. Fletcher was not meant to be the rebound but the forever.
This book touches on a lot of hard topics: divorce, autism, military life, war.
I enjoyed a lot the writing style, the amazing characters and the realistic storyline.
