Something about Delilah draws me in from the first moment we meet. The fact that she’s a single mom, to the sweetest kid ever, is just a bonus.

I’ve got my work cut out for me when it comes to showing her what real love is— first I’ll have to earn her trust and prove I’m not going anywhere.

After seeing her fading bruises and split lip, my protective instincts kick in and I know I would do anything to keep them safe. But she keeps pushing me away, afraid her secrets will put me in danger.

My whole life I’ve grown up hearing about the boom. I wasn’t sure my time would come... Until Delilah.

Until Delilah is part of Aurora Rose Reynolds’s Happily Ever Alpha World. If you loved Until December, then you’ll want to read Until Delilah.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. Sometimes these "Until" books get ridiculous; this one was kind of dull.
To be quick, Delilah and her son run away from her abusive bf (who is not her son's real dad). And it turns out she just found out she is pregnant again, this time from the abusive bf.
She runs to Tennessee for no good reason, meets Max Black (December and Gareth's rich and famous baseball son) and is moved in with him within the month. Umm ok. That seems a little fast. Don't get me wrong, I have read and adored a ton of instalove stories, but this wasn't even that. It just seemed forced.
I kind of hate that the author used Max as the male lead, rather than just making up a character, because I don't think Delilah was good enough for him and she doesn't fit in with the Masons.
Her ex is from a political family and she overheard some stuff that she shouldn't have and that is why she is in hiding. The ex eventually finds her, beats her, she has her daughter early. She heals from the beating, the ex gets caught, they name the baby Luna and that's. about. it.
Oh... 3 months after Luna is born, she is pregnant AGAIN. Her biggest worry is not being married before the she has the baby. What?! THAT'S why you're crying around? Not the fact that you now have 3 baby daddies?! Yuck. Gross ending. Poor Max. This ruined Until December for me now that I know who he ends up with.

Delilah is on the run towards a better life for her seven-year-old son, Beck. She finds a small town that she falls in love with and is a good place for her to settle down in. She instantly connects with her son’s teacher, December. She also connects with December’s son, Max. Max is a former professional baseball player, who now coaches little league.

Max. The man is swoony and protective. I absolutely adored the connection and the bond he formed with Beck. He instantly accepted Beck and Delilah. He offered them help when they needed it. He offered them support when they needed it. It is hard not to completely fall in love with him.

Max and Delilah’s love is practically instant. There is so much chemistry between them and with Max’s smooth talking he can instantly reassure Delilah that everything will work out. Their story was emotional at times and I’m happy Delilah and Beck finally have someone in their life to love them both the way they should be loved.

If you’re looking for a single mom, small town, emotional romance this is one to read.

Until Delilah (Happily Ever Alpha World) by Harlow Layne is an amazing addition to the ARR Happily Ever Alpha World series. This story has so much feels, so much heart and more!! Get ready and bring your tissues! This story is about Delilah Williams & Max Black. Max Black from “Until December” and Delilah, who is the daughter of Lexie and Ryder from “The Model.” Get ready for that BOOM! That insta-love that is so classic that is familiar with this series. Delilah is a single mom to Beckham and pregnant and being abused by her boyfriend. An event caused her to escape and run to Tennessee with her young son to start over and also hide from her ex. It's there she meets Max Black, her young son's coach. They have immediate chemistry/attraction/connection flowing between them. The story just keeps building and keeps going from strength to strength. I liked how Max was so protective of Delilah's son and treating him like he was his son, in fact his family immediately accepted her. A beautiful and sizzling story worthy of reading! Great ending!

My Rating: 4.5 stars ********

5 Star Review of Until Delilah (Happily Ever After World) by Harlow Layne

From the first chapter I fell n love with this story. And the characters. I have a new book boyfriend in Max Black, he ticked every box for me, totally swoon worthy.

From the moment he met Delilah he was drawn to her to her. However she has been badly burnt in the past and the baggage she carry's is heavy. Max will have a hard time convincing her to take a chance on him, especially as a single mother she has to be careful. It’s obvious that she has been put through the ringer, after all there are fading bruises and it is obvious she is wary.

Max is certainly caring, loving and protective and I loved how he was there for her, no matter the cost to himself. Meeting Max and making friends helps Delilah build her confidence back up. However no matter how far you run to escape your past there is always a danger that it will catch up with you. When her past catches up with her Delilah will need Max’s support to face her past head on.

Until Delilah is a steamy, heart warming at times emotional story that I was fully invested in.

Ok I'm having a hard time rating this book. I really liked the plot and the characters but the time line and the pacing of the story both threw me off. Normally I can overlook those things or they don't bother me but in this kind of story I need it to be a little more believable.

Holy Hotness! Move over all other book boyfriends, Max Black has stolen my heart! What a guy, get ready to wicked swoon hard for Max and Delilah!

This book was amazing and a beautiful love story! It didn’t start out that way though, but I am so glad it got there. Delilah is in a tough situation she needs to get out of. Escaping to a better life, she stumbles upon this amazing adorable town, where she decides to settle and hopefully be hidden from her past. Quickly she falls in love with the town and has made some amazing new friends! One being sexy as all heck, Max Black! Hello Mr. Handsome former baseball player, yes please!

But the past never stays hidden for long. When Delilah realizes she needs Max’s help, despite pushing him away most of the time, she realizes fast that their are good people in the world to care for you. However, is it too late? Does she need to run again or can she face her demon straight on?

This book was fantastic, fun, wicked entertaining and steamy as all heck! I fell hard and fast for Max. His knight in shining armor persona was both captivating and drool worthy to read! Harlow has once again blew me away with her writing. Her stories are fantastic and entertaining.

Until Delilah is part of Aurora Rose Reynolds’ Happily Ever Alpha World and it was a great read. Delilah is on the run from her abusive boyfriend. She has overheard some things that she shouldn’t have and she knew that she needed to get away. She took her son and ran. She now has to do what is right for her son and unborn child and she finds the perfect person to help her with in Max. He is back in his hometown after his baseball career has ended and he took to Delilah and her son Beck and would do anything that he could to protect them. Loved their story. I highly recommend this story because you will pick it up and get lost in this world and let me say, it is a great world to get lost in.

Insanely good!! Sweet Delilah on the run with a little boy and hiding from a monster lands in a small, quiet town. Into their lives walks Max Black and things will never be the same. Their connection was immediate and electrifying. If you never believed I'm love at first sight, you will after reading this one.

Such a beautiful lovely story. Delilah had no the easiest life, she gone through so much and have still so much to give, so much love to offer. On the run she just fall in the right small city, in the right small community and in the eye of the right man. He is ready to take care of her and her children, not even understanding at the beginning why, he fall for her fast. She can’t put her trust in man again so easily. Honestly he kind of didn’t give her place, time or choice of saying no.. however he didn’t control her as her past partner did. And when the worst arrives he is by her side, with love and devotion. I would like the end to be written differently (not about the plot), it just finished within few pages in place of really describe the situation, develop this part of story. For me it was rushed ending, meaningful nevertheless and really beautiful but too abrupt and short to put everything what did really happen. It was still great and merits its 5 stars completely. I wasn’t able to put this story down even for one moment. And the cherry on the top was hearing back from Ryder and Lexie, it was so heartwarming. Wonderfully lovely story.

Delilah is on the run from her ex-boyfriend. She has her seven year old son, Beck and she is pregnant as well. She needs to get away as she has found out some things about her ex and she just knows that its now or never. She finds herself in a small little town in Tennessee. Living in a shelter. When Beck starts school she meets his teacher, December who immediately takes a liking to her son and invites them to dinner. At first she is hesitant but decides to go anyway. This is where she meets December’s son, Max… Max is a former baseball player and teaches little league. But how can someone like Max be interested in a women with a seven year old and pregnant again…

From the moment Max meets Delilah and her son Beck he is hooked. He wants to spend more time with her, but he can see that she is hesitant to connect with him. He can also see she is hiding something. All he can do is prove to her that he wants to be with her and her son and take care of them. But its going to be an uphill as Delilah is in protective mode and he needs to show her that she can trust him to be there for her and her little family.

I loved Max he was just too cute. He was protective and patient and didn’t overwhelm Delilah. He just assured her that he wanted to be with her and didn’t care that she had a son and was pregnant. They had amazing chemistry and immediately all you want to do is keep on reading to make sure that everything works out for them. Loved the story, loved the small town vibe and definitely loved seeing the Mayson’s again… ♥😊 😊

Until Delilah by Harlow Layne is part of Aurora Rose Reynolds’s Happily Ever Alpha World. If you loved Until December, then you will want to read Until Delilah. Delilah is also the daughter of Lexie and Ryder from The Model, so if you loved that story you will love Delilah’s as well.

Until Delilah is about Delilah, a woman and single mother of the cutest little boy. She is escaping an abusive relationship as the story opens and she heads to a small town Tennessee town, where she believes she will be safe. She's starting over and doesn’t have much of anything until she meets Max Black, who agrees to help her get back on her feet. Did the starts align? You could say so. Delilah tries her best to keep Max at an arms length to protect herself and her son, but Max works in way into her live and into her heart. This story starts off intense and dramatic in the best way possible! The term page-turner was made for books like this. You have to keep reading to find out what happens and what the hell Delilah’s ex is up to.

Delilah and Max snuck right into my heart and they will slip into yours too. I hope you love this story as much as I did!

For the sake of her children Delilah knows that she needs to escape the abusive situation they find themselves and while trying to create a new life for herself she and December become friends which is how she met December’s son Max.

Max returned to his hometown after his career in baseball ended and from the moment he meets Delilah and her son he is enchanted. He knows that she is his destiny, but he can also see how cautious she is and he is determined to show her that she can trust him to protect her heart and her life.

I enjoyed seeing the evolution of Delilah’s character as with the love and support of Max she became the woman she was meant to be and seeing their romance unfold is enough to make you swoon.

Okayy let's all take a moment for Harlow and her writing. Its just down right amazing and she knows how to just grab ya and sucks you in. I was hooked by the first paragraph.

Delilah is the woman who everyone in a bad situation should look up to. She put herself in that situation but she got out. Not just for her but her lil boy and unborn child.

Oh can we please talk about Max and how much of a smooth talker he is? He knows what to say to make things perfect. Heck he had me tearing up!

If you love books about insta love, ex MLB player and a strong family bond this one is for you!

Max is one of the good ones. I loved how Max is with Beckham, Delilah's son. Beckham definitely steals the spotlight with his cuteness. I was intrigued by how their story goes until I remember there was supposed to be the BOOM when they first met. But in this case, there wasn't really a BOOM.

When they first met, it just felt like Max was being a nice person helping Delilah and his son. It didn't feel like it's going to be something more or romantic. And their story proceeds as such until he wanted to protect Delilah and Beckham even more. The build-up to their relationship shifting romantically felt a bit inadequate.

And I found Delilah overdramatic at times and also undriven. She doesn't know what to do with her life now that she's on the run and has no boyfriend to support her. But she's spending what little money she has on uber rides. She's not a character that I can relate to at all. I don't think she's good enough for Max.

The story inside is as beautiful as the cover. You will get lost in it and it will be a great time! The author gives hope that even from the worst situation there is a way out and love knows no boundaries. Delilah and Max make an unusual couple. One that seems to have no chance in normal life. Nothing could be further from the truth. Delilah is lucky to have Max by her side. A man who will do anything to give her and her son a better life. She just has to trust him. If you like sweet and sexy love stories, this one is perfect for you.

This is a new author for me. Needless to say, it won't be the last book I read of hers

Wow, I absolutely love this book. I was hooked from first page. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved Delilah and Max together, the BOOM happened for these two. Max helps Delilah find her self worth after everything she's been through. Max is patient with Delilah. Delilah brings love and a great kid, and Max can't help but fall for them both.

I can't wait for more.

When I started to read this book, I was intrigued and moved by Delilah’s strength and courage in escaping from an abusive partner. Her situation was incredibly vulnerable, since she has a little boy from a previous relation and is pregnant by the abusive boyfriend. And yet, she escaped in the middle of the night, with only a duffel bag and her boy.

She arrived at this little town in Tennessee, got into a women’s shelter, and commenced to try for a safe life with her little boy. She meets Max Black, a former professional baseball player who falls for her at first sight. What is lovely about this is that it’s a repeat history of her parents. Her father fell for her mother at first sight! Delilah’s parents are Lexie and Ryder from my favorite book by the author, The Model. Who can ever forget blue-haired Lexie? Delilah has her same spunk and small stature!

Max recognizes Beckham’s talent in baseball and convinces Delilah to sign him up for Little League. This gives him a chance to see Delilah frequently and woo her. An incident where Delilah is locked out of the shelter gave him the opportunity to rescue her and offer them secure lodging at his house and he promises to protect them.

Scared out of her wits that her ex-boyfriend will find her, Delilah accepts the protection offer. She’s hesitant at first, very attracted to Max, very protective of her little boy and desperate to give him a safe life. And the rest is history!

I loved the scenes in the Little Leagues games where the other moms give angry glares at Delilah for snaring the hot coach! Max is not only gorgeous but sweet and respectful, clearly enamored of Delilah and Beckham. He was upfront about being attracted and also about giving her time. Naturally, Delilah was hesitant to believe in him being interested in a single woman, pregnant with another man’s baby, but he doesn’t disappoint!

This romance was as sweet and delightful as The Model was. I loved reading Lexie and Ryder as parents and grandparents! I loved Ryder yelling encouragement at Beck’s baseball game and reading Lexie being a protective mom to Delilah. And I loved Max and Delilah and Beckham as a new family! There’s a low thrum of suspense as we wait for the ex-boyfriend’s reaction, and were treated to Max’s family support.

So I knew that this book was going to emotional but I was not prepared for all of the feelings I had while I was reading it. I caught myself a few times wanting to jump in the book to give Delilah and her son Beck a hug and tell them everything was going to be okay!

Max was the ultimate swoonworthy man. He just jumped in, right away no hesitation and made you believe that in real life there are men like him out there! I was blown away with how much I loved this story and just felt it deep in my bones that this story was going to stay with me for a while. It’s been 3 days since I finished it and I am still thinking about how amazing it is. When I say don’t miss this book, please believe me and it will have you believing that no matter what you go through in life someone will be there to pick you up and put you back together. Cheers, Harlow I couldn’t put this story down! I loved every minute of it!

When I started reading Until Delilah by Harlow Layne, I was instantly hooked. I loved that Delilah was such a strong female character that knew she had to leave her abusive ex in order to give her son and baby the life they deserved away from such a violent man. And when they introduced the male lead I was completely shocked to find that he is Max Black, the son of Gareth and December from Aurora Rose Reynold's Until December. When we first meet Max he's like 12 so to now see him as a grown adult is a big shock, as I wasn't anticipating a time jump, but I thoroughly enjoyed the jump.
Delilah has terrible luck with men, the father of her son, Beckham, died before he was born and then when she met her ex she thought she found Prince Charming... until he wasn't... It started when she and Beck moved into his house with little things like controlling what she ate and it just snowballed from there. Delilah is now on the run because she heard something she shouldn't have and he seriously hurt her when he found out that she heard. So she and Beck are starting over in a new town and she wants nothing to do with men, but when Beck's teacher suggests that he join the little league team that her son coaches she might just change her stance...
Max Black is fine with the life he has, he's retired from professional baseball, living in his home town and coaching little league. But when he meets the mother of a new player he knows exactly what he's been missing in his life, Delilah... The fact that she is a single mother doesn't bother him, what bothers him is the fact that she has cuts and bruises all over her face that she is trying to hide and that they are living in a women's shelter. Max is determined to be there for Delilah and Beck in anyway he can, and hopefully forever... Can Max protect Delilah from the monsters in her past?

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Delilah Williams & Max Black. When this book opens we find that Delilah is slowly creeping out of her abusers home. After finding out she is pregnant she just can't stay any more. She knows both her life and the life of her children are on the line. She makes it all the way to Tennessee. She is trying to get a job but living in the shelter and no real work experience in years is working against her. Plus she needs a car which is just not something she can afford right now. One night she gets locked out of the shelter and calls the only number she has in tears December (Mason) Black. December immediately calls Max and he won't let them stay another night there. Max always knew he wanted to find a love like his father and step-mother have. He just never thought it would be with a single mother of a little boy who idolizes him and her pregnant with one on the way. When he learns of their situation he will do anything to protect the woman he thinks of as his. Maybe that boom his family talks about is really he's not sure but he knows he has found his future. Can they find a HEA though when her past is still out there to make sure that never happens?

Amazing story by this author. Max as an adult oh my. You will find yourself wrapped into these characters and not able to let go even when you read those words "the end". I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I love that we keep revisiting the world of the first book by Ms. Layne, The Model. Our last two visits were to read about the couple’s next door neighbor and Lexie’s PA, Raine. Now we have entered a time machine and arrive in the adult life of their daughter, Delilah. Fascinatingly' even though we have fast-forwarded through a generation, there didn’t appear to be more advanced technology, a different governmental structure or any other changes which one would expect in a novel set in the future. Basically, the author contracts with us to willingly suspend our disbelief that children can literally grow up overnight. It just isn’t material to the story. I didn’t take the time to read books from this particular world, which I am now intrigued to visit, where it appears heroines have been named after months. I usually try to do my homework, but in this case I was rushing to submit an early review and am at a slight disadvantage as a result. However, it is really pretty slight, which answers the question of whether this book should be read in order in that world: no. It doesn’t seem to subtract much from the enjoyment of the story. I have read the earlier volume about Delilah’s parents, but I do not think that is very necessary either. Housekeeping done, I will weigh in that this was a sweet story. It is not my favorite by this author. I feel that the rush from meeting to love and sex was a bit quick, especially given the heroine’s recent life experiences. I would have liked this as a more of a slow burn. The story really lived mostly in a bubble, and I cannot really weigh in on whether it was set effectively in the Happily Ever Alpha world, but it seems like it is more on the periphery. Setting all this aside and taking us back to our contract with the author, this is a sweet story where a woman and her child escape a dangerous situation and land softly into a better world. There are hurdles to overcome on the trip to Happily-Ever-Afterville and all the expected steamy intimacy, but Delilah gets there in the end. I voluntarily submitted a review of an advanced complementary copy of this book.

The book is well-written and well-constructed, but the heroine is absolutely unacceptable and unlikeable.
You know the girl who gets knocked-up by every guy she sleeps with? The one who needs to be rescued because she prefers to look for a sugar daddy than maybe get a job? That's the one. Delilah gets pregnant by her high school boyfriend. He goes to the army to be able to support his "family" and... what does she do? We have no idea. She doesn't continue her education, doesn't get a job, doesn't do anything at all. He gets killed. Up to the next guy to support her and the baby. The new guy isn't really a fan of somebody else's son, what a surprise. He gets abusive, hates the little boy. Does Delilah learn from her mistakes? Nope. She gest pregnant again. With a criminal. She runs away and of course doesn't get a job, doesn't get her own place. She just gets rescued by Max Black, December's son. Who now takes her in, becomes the father to her son. She of course lands in his bed quickly enough. She might get pregnant with him too, if not for the fact that she is already pregnant with that criminal.
The book has a heroine who has no skills whatsoever, no ambition. She just looks for another guy to support her and be the knight in shining armor, while she is basically collecting kids like Pokemons.
21st century and birth control or planned parenting is just a myth for her. Max is supposed to just take her in, support her financially, raise her son, be the father to the new kid... Seriously, this is a freaking fantasy book for lazy women, and not a romance.

This book is in Aurora Rose Reynolds “Happily Ever Alpha World”. It features Max Black from “Until December” and Delilah, who is the daughter of Lexie and Ryder from “The Model.” I am a huge fan of Reynolds “Until Series” and Layne does an amazing job at creating Max and Delilah’s story. It has my favorite characters from Reynolds’ books, the same insta-love or ‘boom’ that is signature of the series. Yet, Layne is able to craft a story that draws the reader in, creating a perfect blend of two worlds.
Delilah is strong and has been through a lot in her life, but is still resilient. She has to be for her son, Beckham. She escapes to Tennessee where she is introduced to Max Black. Max is sexy, dirty-talking, passionate, caring, and is without a doubt my newest book boyfriend.
His attraction is instantaneous and hers is too; however, she is more cautious due to past circumstances. Their chemistry is a slow burn that ignites, I had to fan myself a few times!
This is a love story with a side of intrigue, but the book details the growing relationships that also build between Max and Beckham and Max and Delilah’s parents.
This is a well written, entertaining, steamy read – a great edition to the “Happily Ever Alpha World.” If you are a lover of the books in this “World”, then this book will not disappoint. Advance copy provided by the publisher in return for an honest review.

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
STEAM: 🔥🔥🔥
TRIGGER WARNING: Story discusses partner abuse. There is a scene that contains graphic violence.

I devoured this book in one sitting.

The book opens with Delilah sneaking out with her young son Beckham to run away from her boyfriend. She eventually lands in a small town where she crosses paths with December, Beck's teacher.

December embraces Delilah and Beckham into her network of family and friends, and this is where Delilah meets Max. Max is December's son, who also happens to be a former professional baseball player. Despite Delilah's efforts to keep her distance given her recent relationship issues, she keeps getting drawn to Max, especially since Beckham is a big baseball fan and wants to play in Max's Little League team.

The attraction between Delilah and Max, while instant, was well developed and believable. Because of her past, Delilah struggled with trust and connection, and I love how Max was kind, gentle, and patient with her and Beck.

What also made this book was their network. Delilah and Max's parents were absolutely adorable, and it was great to see them come together in times of happiness or adversity.

I have never read a book by Harlow that I have not loved . She is truly a queen when it comes to writing romance . Until Delilah is a amazing book , I literally finished it in a day . What a heartwarming insta -Love romance , filled with off the charts chemistry , so many steamy moments and two main characters that you can not help but become 100% completely invested in .what a beautiful love story . Delilah has been through so much heartache and is running from abusive ex . She ends up in a small town in Tennessee, here she decides to settle and try to build a new life for her self ( a fresh start ) one of the things I loved about her character is that she is not perfect . Just as we all have she has not always made the best choices in life . She had so much strength and loved her son more then anything. The last thing she expected was to meet max and to fall in love again . Max is sometime you can’t help but fall in love with from the moment you meet him . The way he takes her son under his wing and does everything he can to help the two of them , not to mention how hot he is or the off the charts chemistry every time these two are near each other . I was so hooked , this book is everything, Angsty, emotional, steamy , and totally addictive. Harlow has written a beautiful , sweet end heartfelt story . Do not miss this phenomenal book ❤️❤️
