I really wasn’t a big fan of Randall in other books, to be honest. Even though he is an excellent example of a psychopath. My concern is he just change my mind. Now I freaking love him. Like in a big way, and let's now add a book hangover on top of it. Kudos to Anna-Marie for making him more redeemable.

Randall has some server demons, and Ivy is not too far behind him. Except they’re in different processes of their scars. What pissed me off was the town folk who tried to protect her with their words didn’t give her enough credit. Ivy is a fighter and a true warrior.

Let me tell you. Ivy is all that and more. I never thought a woman could get under his skin. It's great to read an extraordinary strong heroine survives what she did and loves a man like Randall and how he reacted towards her.

The first 8% is fast-paced, then os a slow burn to about 44%. From there, buckle up and pay close attention; there are bread crumbs and talk about a wild ride. I was hitting my fingernails and crossing all my fingers and toes. On my dark scale, it is medium gray. As in any dark romance, there are always triggers.

On a side note, don't worry if you haven't read any of the other books; this can be read as a standalone. However, I would recommend reading the authors books to understand all the side characters.

I wanted to cut the man’s eyes out of his sockets and listen to his screams as I did. There was only one person allowed to watch her, and that was me.”

As a fan of Ann-Marie’s work, I have been waiting for this story for quite a while. I don’t want to give too much of the story away so I won’t give any spoilers here.

We first meet Randall, or “Tonks” as his friends call him, in the story His Obsession. If you haven’t read that check it out. This book can absolutely be read as a standalone but I feel like you really can’t grasp just how much of a psychopath Randall is unless you read that book first. I mean, after reading that book I didn’t know how she was going to make a romance between Randall and ANYONE possible but Ann-Marie Davis never ceases to amaze.

I’ve been curious to see what kind of woman could make a man like Randall feel… well anything. Ivy isn’t my personal favorite type of heroine, I prefer them a little more demure and shy, but she was completely perfect for Randall. He needs someone up in his face to keep pushing him, it just wouldn’t make sense any other way. If she was a shrinking flower, not sure of what she wanted, she never could handle a man like Randall or his world.

The chemistry between the two of them is HOT! Beware of scorched pages. Period.

One of the thing’s I really enjoy about Ann Marie’s stories is how she can make a romance novel” just so much more. Yes, the core of the story is this heat and the feelings that happen between Ivy and Randall, but this story is full of mystery, murder, suspense, thrills, action. It makes you just want to keep reading to find out what happens next, not just with Randall and Ivy but with the overall story. I think that’s a sign of a great author.

I think after reading that, I just have one questions for Ann-Marie Davis. When do we get Jake’s story?

*This book was provided to me as a free ARC for my unfiltered opinion and rating. If you don’t believe how much I love her stuff, check of my reviews of her other books :)

Hot damn! Randall is my kind of crazy! This book is dark, suspenseful, and so freaking HOT!

Ivy is a fighter and survivor. She’s had to be with her past. When she meets Randall, he fascinates and scares her at the same time.

Randall is a psychopath. When he gets called back to his home town, demons from his past start to rise. When he meets Ivy, he realizes there might be someone out there whose darkness calls to his own.

Randall is everything and more. He’s dark, broody, and 100% alpha. They fit together perfectly and their sexy times are ridiculously HOT. Ann-Marie writes a story that grabs a hold of you and won’t let go.

“You can either let your trauma condemn you to a lifetime of misery, or you can conquer it and have a life beyond your wildest dreams”

Holy mother and everything hot and suspenseful. Ann has woven a tale that grabbed me by the throat and demanded all my attention. This story is dark, gritty, raw, emotional and so much more. It’s a journey of two people colliding together, a fight for survival, and proof that people can survive the darkness.
I have been itching for Tonk’s story since meeting him in Ann’s Moreno Mafia series and she brought it with guns blazing.
Ivy is a fighter and survivor, a woman who took control of a dire situation and then made a new life for herself, only to find there would be more bumps in the road ahead before she would finally feel safe.
Tonks (aka Randall) runs a “security company” that has ties with the mafia and is a stone cold killer. He has compartmentalized his emotions away and lives for his next kill - until he meets Ivy. She proves to be the light in his darkness and in the end he shows her that he is willing to burn the world down in order to keep her safe.
Their chemistry is off the charts and the steam is even hotter. I enjoyed the push and pull between these two, as they fought their need for each other because it made their coming together even hotter along with making their characters more relatable and believable.
I LOVED how Ann laid this story out - she humanized Tonks in a way I didn’t expect and kept me on the edge of my seat with all the twists and turns. I ended up reading aloud to my husband because he had to know what happened and for it to capture his attention as much as it did for me is saying something. Yes, this is dark so if you have triggers please read the warnings. But if you like playing in the dark, like I love to do, definitely pick this one up. Corrupting Ivy is the story that I didn’t even realize I needed so badly until Ann drew up the words and now I am fighting the urge to flip back to the beginning to relive it.

OH MY EVER LOVIN' DARK HELL! I honestly never saw Corrupting Ivy coming, and while I did pause from time to time to take a breath, it still made my dark & twisty soul sing like you wouldn't believe. Now for the love of all that's holy, pay attention to the triggers because they're definitely leveled up from a lot of dark books. Randall is a complete psychopath, and I couldn't have loved him any more to tell you the truth LOL! He runs a "security company" and has a very special set of skills, but he does have serious demons. Ivy is a bada** in her own right as she's been through so much, but she's in really deep trouble now & will need Tonks' (aka Randall) help. Their journey isn't conventional whatsoever but it was exciting with everything in their way so I was on the edge of my seat cover to cover. The twists were coming in white hot, violence was insane, their heat was something to behold, and maybe just maybe, these two can have each other's backs, but you'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Do you love age-gap romances, with anti-heores and a whole lot of steam? Then this is definitely the book for you as Ann-Marie does not disappoint with this one!

Ivy is such a strong badass fighter, and Randall or Tonks is a complete psychopath and reading their relationship is definitely one hell of a ride! This is definitely one book you have to read for yourself!

This is done in typical Ann-Marie style dark, steamy, strong FMC and intense. I highly recommend reading any of Ann-Maries books, and although this is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone.

When Ann-Marie calls herself the Queen of Cliffhangers, she’s not lying! The ending of this book left me with my mouth hanging open.

Ivy and Randall’s story had me on the edge of my seat. This dark, romantic suspense had it all- drama, steam, action, emotions, laughs, all with a few tender moments as well. Randall is the epitome of the sexy bad boy. His fierce protectiveness of Ivy makes him that much hotter. I truly loved this book. Will we have more of these two in the future?? I sure hope so!

*There are some elements of abuse & torture that may be difficult for some to read.

Ivy hasn’t had an easy life but she keeps moving forward and Randall is a killer and rather emotionless, until Ivy. This is a fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Great characters with lots of depth and intense chemistry. I really liked it.

I loved that Randall wasn’t ashamed of who he was. The heroine, Ivy wasn’t too bad either because she did have some fight in her. I was debating between 4 and 5 stars but that ending just helped me a lot. Ivy had some serious bad luck with men but she did do her best to keep away from them until Randall stepped in. Great story and the characters were good.

WOW!! This is a new author to me and I am blown away by how amazing this book was. It was dark and gritty, extremely thrilling, highly entertaining and damn sexy. The story had me so enthralled that I could not look away for fear that I might miss something important. I was turning the pages so fast just to see what the hell was going to happen to poor Ivy next. That girl has some seriously bad luck!! It is one hell of a twisted and intensely emotional rollercoaster ride that is filled with danger, angst and a whole lot of murder and mayhem.

Randall has some dark demons in his life (past, present and most definitely his future)! But there is something pulling him towards Ivy. He wants to mark her, own her and fully possess her. His demons crave her. Poor Ivy is just trying to survive her dumb luck life and become the warrior and survivor that she is. She’s is one hell of a woman who doesn’t let people break her. She survived one horrible man and is unwilling to succumb to anymore. She is ready to fight to her last breath.

Randall and Ivy have fantastic chemistry. They feed off one another’s pain, passion and depravity. These two had me hook, line and sinker – I never wanted them to be apart and I never wanted their story to end. Their sexual chemistry was highly combustible and would explode at any given moment. It was sexy, steamy and definitely panty melting.

This is a brilliantly written story that kept my heart racing, my palms sweating and my head spinning. The twists and turns slowly sneak out and smack you in the face making you gasp at every turn of the page. I loved it and need more just like it.

I can’t wait to read the next story from this amazing author.

Great books make me enjoy my reading experience, whereas phenomenal books immerse me so deeply that I feel everything the characters do, caught in the inability to start a new book because it’s not as engrossing as the last. Corrupting Ivy definitely falls in the phenomenal book category. Deep into the characters heads, I was unable to remove myself when the book ended. Looking forward to another read already, this couple really finds their salvation with each other, moreover they bring strength to one another when things are untenable, which given the multitude of traumatic events in this book is productive.

A character that I wanted to know more about from His Obsession was Randall, therefore when presented with the idea of this book I was ready, nevertheless nothing could have prepared me for this. Telling you how much I love this psychopath would take up an exorbitant amount of time. Being dropped off at home to find out what’s got his mother all worked up after a tough retrieval, he stumbles upon a serial killer, a stalker and a woman that intrigues, the recovering Ivy. Ivy is hiding out in the small town for her reasons when Randall comes back to town, she’s immediately drawn to him, ignoring warnings from friends that he was dangerous. Pasts that both are filled with brutality led to them together, whereas their meeting brought a chemistry that was scorching off the pages, which was a surprise to them both. All the suspense and romance you crave in a dark romance in a thrilling ride, with no question of the obvious talent of this author, this book and these characters kept me enthralled until the very last sentence, which is a doozy!!

Randall and Ivy definitely get added to the harem, both adding some dangerous spice and grit to the group!

Review in ten words: Hard to put down, surprises around every corner.

This was such an addictive read! And it may be my favourite Ann-Marie Davis book so far.

We have a serial killer on the loose, a stalker, a woman running to a small town with a dark secret, a broody, dark and mysterious man who happens to find her.

I thought the characters were really nicely done. Randall was VERY dark, abusive in some instances- not towards our MC, but still. His relationships all seem to be quite complex. I really enjoyed having his POV through the book- being inside his head was very interesting. I am one of the rare readers who hasn't read the first Blackstone Tech book yet- I plan to! I really want to see how Randall is represented there, as well as some of the other side characters we meet in this book.

Readers should definitely be aware of trigger warnings for this one- will place some of them in a spoiler nest here (non exhaustive just what I thought of):

I always fly through Ann-Maries books- this one is no different. I was captivated from start to finish. Would recommend to lovers of dark romance with a soft spot for a good anti-hero (although Randall could potentially be an anti-villian here, it's a fine line!)

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Ann has brought to life a tale so hot, dark and suspenseful that it grabbed hold of me and wouldn't let me put it down till the final word. I'm so glad to finally get Tonk's story after his appearances in the Moreno Mafia series and it didn't disapoint. Its gritty and raw, its a fight for survival and a battle to beat the darkness.

Ivy is a true badass. She is a survivor and a fighter, her inner strength means she never give up no matter what. She is able to keep going when most people would have crashed and given up.

Tonks or Randall as I've always known him is a stone, cold, killer. He has trained himself to shutdown his humanity, he compartmentalises his emotions and lives solely for the next job, the next kill. Ivy changed everything, she is a burning light that eats away at his darkness.

The chemistry between them is undeniable and creates the perfect foundation for some seriously hot scenes.
Their fight to maintain distance, to fight this connection that they have only made it hotter when the finally succumbed to it. Through of the challenges they faced Ann was able to make them truly relatable and even humanised Tonks. In the end we see that Tonks is more than willing to burn the world down for Ivy.

I loved the darkness, how I was in the edge of my seat with all the twists and turns. This book called to my dark heart and if you prefer to live on the darker side this book is for you.

Admittedly, I have not been one for mafia or suspense romance novels prior to this summer. However, I dove feet first into Corrupting Ivy and I COULD NOT put it down! I think this book, to date, is Ann-Marie Davis' BEST BOOK yet. Ann-Marie's writing took on a whole new level of depth in this novel. The attention to detail in all situations was so carefully crafted. Her ability to navigate difficult topics delicately was outstanding.

This story has dark, dark realities and readers should heed the warnings posted. The life Ivy has had to live is terrible. Yet, she still gets up every day and tries to make it in this world. She works hard for the little she has and is kind to all. Insert Randall, and HOT DAMN, this book gets really intriguing really quickly! He is dark, broody, has no desire to get involved or be a hero. A serial killer is on the loose and Ivy is in danger. Good for her that Randall has a special skill set that will be a benefit to her protection. Definitely enjoyed this and I am really looking forward to more from Ann-Marie in the future!

Morally questionable heroes are hard to love. Especially when they are like Randell, a man who Ivy should be staying away from if she wants stay unnoticed and move on with her life

Yet he knows her wants and needs from a glance. He is able to draw he in and make him part of her own messed up world. A world that has made her accept the second best and leave no room for chances

She is just holding on by a piece of string and Randell knows how to take some one rip for taking
One taste and Ivy is forced to re-engine her life. She lost to the man who offers the world but holds deadly secrets

Randell may not tell but he shows a lot of his character and that what makes him appealing. Davis appeals to the grey area of own selves by the way Randell handles things. The choices he makes to protect his life and Ivy

Despite their obvious flaws and their shared mistrust for the world. These two had a rough time and the action was no stop until the very end. Questionable at times, this anti hero romance is perfect for dark readers.

Omg! Get ready!

What an absolutely explosive, dark, steamy read!!! I binge-read it in one sitting as I could not put it down!

What happens when you think you are the only psychopath in town? A buried body long forgotten suddenly surfaces but so do 27 other bodies. He only did the one, though. So who did the rest?

Ivy is running from an abusive past and works 2 jobs to make ends meet. In the small down where she ended up, everyone is friendly and knows each other.

Randall returns to his home town after a long absence. He suffered mental and physical abuse from his both his sperm donor and the woman who birthed him. His scars are both external and internal. Those he cannot cover up with tattoos emerge by other means.

Circumstance brings these two damaged souls together one evening. She is warned to stay away from him but that just draws her in more.

Get ready for the ride of your lives! An exciting, entertaining, heart-wrenching, fast-paced story about survival. 🔥 read.

This story does not need to be read in order.

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

This book packed a punch and now I'm sitting here a bit shell shocked on everything that happened! I loved this book, and then I feel a bit disturbed considering everything that happened on why I loved it so much. It's a very emotional rollercoaster I'm going through right now!

Randall. I know we aren't supposed to love him - he's Dark, disturbed, psychotic. But boy did I fall down the tunnel of loving Randall and his protectiveness and dark obsession. I wouldn't want my own Randall in real life but reading his viewpoint and seeing his reaction toward Ivy was fantastic!

Poor Ivy. She's really been through some terrible things and if I were her, I don't think I could get past any of it. I'm surprised she's not seeing a therapist to help her through everything she's seen and been through. She is one tough chick though, and I love that she never gives up, even though that might be the easiest thing to do in the moment.

I'm really glad I decided to give this book and author a try! I'll be in the lookout for more by Davis!

Wow. I loved this story

The story is dark, intense, steamy, suspenseful, thrilling and romantic. It is a dark, anti hero, age gap romance novel that is accompanied with a lot of trigger warnings and astounding plot twists. It has a gripping plotline with a strong and a fierce female protagonist. The story becomes really dark with some dismaying scenes in the middle and if the readers are okay with that, they will get a thrill out of it. A highly recommended book for readers who like this genre.

Personal Take:
I am fond of Ivy (female protagonist). She was determined and so strong. Randall is my new favorite MC. He was so sweet and protective towards Ivy, that won me over. The plot twists were something I didn't see coming. This book kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time. The story was staggering and I wanted more of it by the end. I absolutely enjoyed reading this one.

This was a really good book! So well-written, Ann Marie Davis takes us on a journey like no other! So different than my usual tropes, I just couldn't get enough.

Ivy is on the run from her abusive ex's family and settles in a small Texas town, only to discover bodies buried in the forest, and becomes mixed up in that investigation, while forming a kind of friendship with Randall, and eventually gets involved with him.

Abused by his mother as a child, Randall does not form bonds easily, but feels very at-ease with Ivy. Their relationship progresses naturally, and although Randall is very abusive towards pretty much everyone else, he feels so close and protective of Ivy.

The whole story was amazing, from start to finish, and I would definitely recommend it.

I received an ARC from the author, and this voluntary review is my honest opinion of Corrupting Ivy.

"He's got more demons than hell can contain, Ivy."

I could not put this one down! After reading about Spence "Tonk" Randall in Blackstone Tech #1 and the Moreno Mafia stories, I was really curious about his story and how it would play out. Ann-Marie Davis does NOT disappoint.

Randall's story was everything I hoped and more! He's dark and broody and completely alpha and sexy as all sin. That being said, I also fell in love with Ivy. I loved her mixture of nervous and strong- how she "finds herself" and her strength throughout the story. Ann-Marie does a fabulous job developing her characters and keeping the reader's attention throughout the entire story.

And the ending?! Lord... I'll just leave it at that..... HIGHLY recommend!!

This book has everything I love in a story. Dark themes, psycho alpha H, strong and vulnerable h, stalker and even a serial killer. Tonk has been my favorite character in Ann-Marie Davis's Blackstone Tech series and Moreno Mafia crossovers. Ann-Marie did not disappoint and knocked this book out of the park!! Ivy was running from a very violent and troubled past making a new life in a small town in Texas. Tonk came back to his hometown at the call of his abusive mother. Their worlds collide and the heat is off the charts. The chemistry between Ivy and Tonk is epic and I couldn't put this book down. There is non stop action and surprises at every turn and this book isn't predictable. I love how the author kept Tonk true to his nature and didn't soften him for Ivy. This is a book I will reread many times and it's made my all time favorites list.

Are you ready for the ride of your life I’m talking like hang onto your t!ts Batman cuz this mofo is about to get bumpy! Our girl Ivy is a fighter and bada** and Randall wellll he is just fn cray cray to say the least and watching these two together was one epic ride! I’m true Ann-Marie Davis fashion she will have you captivated from page one and don’t except to get anything down because there is no chance of you putting this baby down until your finished and then you will still be thinking about these two days later! This baby is dark and gritty and everything I could ever want and so much more. Also I need a trash panda in my life I seriously about died when I read this!

This is an amazingly steamy example of a hot psycho alpha who can only be tamed by one person, in this case it’s Ivy. Ivy has had a rough past but is a strong woman who has risen above her circumstances. She’s the type of FMC you can really root for and get behind. Randall (Tonk) is our absolute beast of a psycho. He’s pretty much unchained and unemotional all the way up until Ivy. She’s his light in the dark. Reading the story arc of Randall’s character was truly rewarding, I personally love when our characters are “unlovable” or monsterous but through the magic of the Author’s imagination they somehow become someone you want to see happy. Someone you even think deserves it regardless of how you felt initially. The steamy scenes were out of this world 🔥

Ivy moved to a small town, trying to escape her past. She meets Randall, a man she's has been warned against and is dangerous. But they have an attraction that makes them dangerous together, and the demons they both have could destroy them both.

Randall is the true definition of an antihero. He doesn't pretend to be good, he doesn't give any reason for Ivy to think he is, and he doesn't change his ways in the end. But he works so well with Ivy and their chemistry is perfect The scenes they share are intense and beyond steamy. Randall is rough, and the author gives us rough scenes that back it up instead of working around it.

There was a lot happening in this book. Ivy admits she shot her husband, and then gets kidnapped by her stalker in town, and then has another kidnapping. I would've liked the author to stick to one problem, rather than adding additional drama. I think they could've cut out the stalker from town and instead incorporated that into her past with her ex husband. There's was just too much and it didn't all mesh well.

This fast-paced romantic suspense starts off with a bang and doesn’t slow down for a second! Part murder mystery and part thriller, Corrupting Ivy had me completely captivated from start to finish.

Ivy is running from her past and hiding out in a small southern town. In rolls Randall, the perfect anti-hero alphahole, and he and Ivy have the most amazing chemistry right off the bat. I absolutely loved these two together. There is a lot of push and pull on the beginning but once they come together it’s explosive.

The plot moves quickly and had lots of twists and unexpected moments. If you enjoy reading romantic suspense you will love this book!

What kind of woman can crack through Randall's (Tonk's) psycho shell? Apparently Ivy. I love that Ivy is not a shrinking violet, she is smart, and perseveres regardless of her demons. This book was fast paced, action packed, steamy and intoxicating. I could not put it down. I have read all of the other books that Randall has appeared in but you do not have to to fully enjoy this book. It really does stand alone. I still recommend you read the rest of Ann Marie's books because they are all awesome.

This is Ivy and Randall’s story. I found it to be more on the psychological thriller side than the romance side.

Ivy has a very dark past and has fled to a small town to start over. She’s really starting to find her footing until she’s out for a run in the woods one morning, trips and falls down an embankment onto a dead body. Well, there goes her invisible new life. She’d caught the attention of a serial killer. Randall is from this small town and reluctantly returns when more bodies are found. While the serial killer gets closer and closer to Ivy, Randall is determined to stop them. And…. I’m not telling you anymore. You’ll have to read for yourself 😈

There are so many plot twists during this story that my head hurts when I was finished reading. My takeaway when finishing this book: Ivy is a rockstar.
