Our Eco-Chic Bungalows are the ideal place to relax. Each bungalow is designed with a very distinct architectural feature that the indigenous from the area have been utilizing for hundreds of years…. the palm roof.  Not only are these structures made from sustainably and locally harvested palm fronds, the vaulted ceiling design keeps the rooms cooler and more fresh than any other available, man-made material.

Let the soothing sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep after a full day on the beach and exploring the area. Our simple, clean and comfortable rooms are equipped with full private bathrooms, outdoor showers*, fans*, down pillows and plush sheets and towels.

Currently, we have 5 private Bungalow each with one queen bed and one twin bed. We also have 2 Standard Bungalows with 3 single beds each, which is perfect for families & children, retreats and small groups. We have 2 Bungalow Suites and the Bungalow Selva with hot water showers.

*In order to maintain our sustainable and low energy consumption practices, we do not have A/C (Air Conditioning) in the rooms, and our showers at Gitana del Mar do not have hot water.

Bungalows

  • Our minimum stay is two (2) nights.

  • All rates are for double occupancy (2 Guests).

  • All rates include 3 gourmet meals daily.

  • All published rates do not include IVA (el IVA solo aplica a Colombianos y residentes).

  • We only accept children younger than 3 years old in the bungalow selva & bungalow sierra.

  • Children ages 3-8 are $264,000 COP per night (no incluya IVA).

Bungalow Sierra

The Bungalow Sierra is our largest and most stunning room. The carefully curated design is inspired by the mystical Sierra Nevada mountains with her snow capped peaks, and the sacred geometry found in the triangular patterns in nature as well as our local indigenous cultures. Featuring breathtaking beach and ocean views and at over 80 square meters (800 sqft), this bungalow boasts an open floor plan with 1 King Bed (can also be set up with two single beds) and 2 separate single beds. Sleeps 2-4 people. This Cathedral Style structure is made with natural and native guadua (bamboo), hardwood and clay from the lower region of Sierra Nevada Mountains. The large and unique bathroom has 2 sinks and a shell inspired shower with hot water.

Bungalow Selva

The Bungalow Selva is an all wood bungalow and is our most private and exclusive option. It has a one (1) queen bed and one (1) single bed as well as a private bathroom with open air shower and hot water. This is the closest option to the beach and the most private. The Bungalow Selva also has a private sitting garden in front of the bungalow.

Bungalow Nukuba

The Nukuba Bungalow is inspired by the serene and organic beauty of the seashell, specifically the shells sacred to the local Kogui indigenous population that inhabit the Sierra Nevada. This exquisite room features a tall, lofted roof, crafted from bamboo and thatch. Nukuba signifies shell in the Kogui language, and this structure embodies the same sense of security, tranquility, and contentment that a seashell offers to its cherished occupant.

Each Nukuba Bungalow boasts a private wooden deck front porch and are set apart and more private than the Bungalow Suites and Standards.

They have one (1) King bed (or 2 single beds) and two (2) additional single beds. The max capacity is 4 guests. Each Nukuba has a private, open-air bathroom.

Bungalow Treehouse

This two- story Bungalow is tucked away in the jungle gardens of Gitana under our beloved Mango Trees and has gorgeous views all around. Designed with all wood and selected Bamboo details, this gorgeous space has a opened living room, balcony with views of our beachfront forest and the most incredible private bathroom with outdoor shower. Ideal for a couple the room has a King bed that can also turn into two twin beds during Yoga Retreats.

Bungalow Suite

The Bungalow Suites are spacious, have one (1) queen bed and one (1) twin bed as well as a private bathroom with an open air shower (hot water). We have four (4) Bungalow Suites available.

Bungalow Standard

The Bungalow Standards have three (3) single beds and a private bathroom with an open air shower with hot water. We have two (2) Bungalow Standards. There is no double bed in the Bungalow Standard.
