After consuming the first book I couldn't wait for the release of this to feed my #oneclick addiction..
And like the first this was inhaled!! God my heart feels like it's been put through the wringer, from start to finish, I never wanted this journey to end. I loved these two!!
This ticked all my boxes, it's exactly what I seek with my mafia reads, from the grit to the dark and everything in between.

Admittedly I did have tears running down my face at the end, a bittersweet ending, how it was supposed to end but god it still hurt..

We are left from book 1 with a massive cliffhanger. We jump straight back into the story where Sutton attempted to commit suicide and Calder was shot. We don't know his fate yet but we do learn that they attempt to make Sutton believe he has died and she is to be moved to a private school far away to get over it all and be less of a problem for her horrible parents.

Listen her mother? The absolute worst mother. She is such an evil bitch. I am shocked she kept this side of her away from Sutton for so long....she really did not care for her daughter. She allowed so many horrible things to occur. She knew Hunter had attempted to rape her and did not care. She saw Hunter slap her daughter so hard she fell to the ground and smiled and was happy about the outcome.
Her dad? He was WEAK and SCARED. Worthless parent in my opinions. He closed the door when he saw Hunter attempting to rape her and walked away.
Thankfully we find out Hunter was unable to get it up so he couldn't go through with the rape, but it haunts Sutton and she feels (of course) uneasy around Hunter and what he is capable of. Especially when their parents decide to marry them off for political reasons.

She is placed in a horrible disturbing situation with the people around her because she is waiting hopelessly for Calder to take over from his uncle and gain enough power to destroy the ones who destroyed them.

Calder is awake and alive. Finds out his uncle is threatening Sutton with death of her innocent friends and herself and decides to abide by his rules. The two of them are separated for years....both staying celibate and madly in love. Reading Sutton's diary entries was painful...you could see and feel what she went through for the years they were apart.

There is a scene where his uncle is attempted to test him and gets him a prostitute and for pretence purposes Calder takes her to the room and only ONLY talks to her lol he has a nice conversation with her and she seems nice enough to listen and give advice and keep quiet about their real time together.

Connor (Calder's uncle) shows Sutton the video of West (Calder's adoptive brother) being killed by his father...this even prompts her further to staying obedient.

Roman and Calder are out for vengeance and get their hands on as much power as they can before striking, and it was SOOOO satisfying. Watching how the dominoes fell and Calder took what he wanted and killed who he wished.

His father? Killed by Roman brutally
His uncle? Killed by Calder after winning the vote
Hunter? Killed by Calder (strapped him to the table and cut off his dick and fed it to him while Hunter's mother and Sutton's mother were strapped to chairs to watch the show - later killed brutally)
Sutton father? Killed by Calder

It was a rollercoaster of so many emotions and pain to get to their HEA. They barely were together during this book, but you forgive it because you know why and understand. They get together a few times during their separation and you can see how defeated Sutton is but she keeps going for their love and fairytale.

As you can tell I absolutely loved this duet. They got their well-deserved and beautiful HEA while the assholes got their well-deserved ticket to hell.

Death isn’t waiting for Calder. It’s listening for his instruction.”

Wow.
Talk about your all consuming unforgettable reads. This duet was ALL OF THE THINGS. I have no words. I'm actually stunned speechless after sobbing my way through that ending and all I know I that I am NOT OKAY!
This is heaven. And she’s the only version I’ll ever want.

Romeo and Juliet could never! This book was star crossed lovers on crack, with all of the drama, action, grit, and a romance that burrows under your skin and just stays there. I thought I loved Calder in book one, but it was nothing compared to what I felt for him in this one.

Admittedly, the first book was a bit insta for my tastes, but dang, this one more than made up for it with the grit, angst, and the emotion. It was a fiery conclusion with twists that I never saw coming. And damn, it was not afraid to go there. It hurt. It hurt so good.
We’ll never run away. There won’t be stars or blue skies filled with heavens staring down on us. All we have is death and destruction. A life sentence, forced to survive within the absence of our love.

I loved watching Sutton grow into her own. She aged beyond her years with everything she's been through. And as much as I wished I saw her kick some ass and take names herself, seeing her fiery spirit come through was also enough. This woman goes through hell and back and my heart hurt for her.
Imagine loving someone so much that you’d be willing to stand in the middle of hell and take on the devil just for a chance to be with them again. Youd do unimaginable things...

I binge read this story. I was already rabid for this conclusion when I finished book one. But nothing prepared me for the experience that was this book. Talk about your ending with a bang! SO GOOD!

THERE ARE NOT WORDS. My heart is still beating out of my chest, tears still streaming down my cheeks. This story is EVERYTHING. A completely consuming, emotional vornado, a devastatingly beautiful marvel, completely epic in every way. And the perfect finale for this unforgettable duo of star crossed lovers.

Of course, I won’t say much about this plot- it’s mired in secrecy, as it should be. This book isn’t meant to be read- it’s meant to be experienced. But what I can say is that the narrative approach is brilliant- expertly crafted in a way that evokes the more intense, most immersive, and most consuming emotive experience. You live and breathe these characters- you experience every single word with the same emotional intensity they do. And there are A LOT of emotions to experience. To call their love story challenging would be a gross understatement- this is a love story of Sisyphean level toil, a level of adversity only rivaled by its romantic ardor. I was drowning in my emotions- and I say that with no hyperbole- this is a story you feel in your soul. A story that sings with the nostalgic adrenaline reminiscent of the epic love stories that defined the genre, but one that also enamours with its artistic novelty.

Book 1 is a consuming rush of intoxicating passion, the construction of a connection written in the stars and the moon- it was about the PASSION, and the freedom that came with finding your soul mate. And Book 2 still has that passion, but this is a story that feels entirely different, because that freedom was a ruse. This is an exploration of just how far people are willing to go for love- how much of themselves they are willing to sacrifice, how or if love can endure the most painful hardships. We have as many twists and turns, all of the consuming passion, but it’s also full of desperation and pain, sacrifice and frenetic patience. Romeo and Juliet was about two lovers succumbing to their world- sacrificing it all so they never part. But Sutton and Calder’s journey is their quest to reshape a world where their love does not fit- will their world break them, or will they break it? And can they, or their love, survive the sacrifices they make- because NOTHING will ever be the same.

The contrasts, the tonal juxtapositions, the tragic parallelisms all weave together in really powerful ways to highlight just how much this story has changed, and how far these characters have to go to find peace. The irony is that the tragedy doesn’t unfold like that of their Romeo and Juliet inspirations- a fact likely obvious by the fact that there’s a second book. But the suffering, the longing, the desperation and heartache they experience makes Romeo and Juliet’s trials and tragedies look relatively tame- Trilina has redefined what it means to sacrifice and fight for love. And sacrifice they do. Sacrifices that cut me so deeply I was completely bereft- sobbing into my kindle like a lunatic. But that’s how deeply YOU feel this world, these characters.

And the characters- their journey, their chemistry, their GROWTH is what makes this story so compelling. We met Calder and Sutton as emotional babies- discovering love for the first time, bright eyed and optimistic, drunk on their addiction to each other. But addiction had a price- one they paid over and over. Again, contrast plays a beautiful role in unfolding these characters' arcs- Calder and Sutton not only contrasted to their foes, but also to one another- and more importantly, to the versions of themselves we met in book 1. We see them embrace and elevate parts of themselves, bury others- all while battling demons literally and metaphorically. And we discover just how much their choices change them- and if that growth changes the unbridled connection we so loved.

THIS BOOK HURTS. But it is so worth it- and the chef’s kiss ending is pure perfection. My tears were not in vain, and I could not love this duet more, even though parting is such sweet sorrow. Not only a favorite of 2021, but an all time favorite!

Great ending. But Yeesh.

So, I loved the first book. Our poor star-crossed couple had a Shakespearean ending in book 1. And that's really where this duet breaks away from the Romeo and Juliet retelling. This book is about giving these tortured souls an HEA.

HOWEVER, they spend the vast majority of this book apart. #wompwomp 😐

There's a torturous 3-year separation that we get to experience with them. There is little to no contact at all. By 50% I was PISSED. I skimmed through the mafia carnage and overall misery to get to the the part where we get some movement.

What I liked:

- Calder is taking care of business, trying to manipulate their world so he can be with Sutton

- I loved that his solution wasn't to leave the mafia, but to own it and make it what he wanted it to be

- Calder is true-blue. 👌🏻 Normally I roll my eyes when an H is celibate during a separation because authors rarely make the case, but this time it made total sense. They promised each other there would never be anyone else and he held to that promise, even when faced with circumstances that made it very difficult to keep that promise. Sutton was always his #1 priority. He was not swayed. Ever.

- While no one can know they are still holding out hope for each other, Calder doesn't leave Sutton's fate to chance. He makes sure he has eyes on her, and he intervenes if something is going awry - he also makes a couple fevered visits. 🥵🥵🥵

- Calder gets bloody revenge on every mother f*cker who ever dared to breathe in Sutton's direction. Loved it. He was not messing around. 🖤🖤🖤

- their HEA is super sweet

What I didn't like:

- I felt like their separation was too drawn out in the book. It felt like fluff and kinda made the ending less impactful because i was so annoyed. I skimmed quite a bit of this book.

- towards the end Sutton decides she needs "to stand on her own two feet"... which, whatever, I'm sure lots of people like that trope... HOWEVER, the way she insists on doing that really pissed me off. After a 3-year separation and fighting tooth and nail to be together, she insists that she finish school before marrying Calder. They wait ANOTHER 2 YEARS. And he's just cool with it cuz he wants her to make her own choices since she was never able to with her parents. - This is lame as hell. She can be married to the love of her life (after he burned down the world to be with her) AND ALSO go to school. LAME.

Bottom Line? This duet could have been 1 book. Half this book was filler. But I loved the HEA. 3.5 stars.

⚠️SAFETY SQUAD SPOILERS⚠️

- no cheating or sharing

- no OW drama - he's offered a prostitute, and he has to act like he's gonna accept, but he just takes her into a room and talks to her.

- OM drama - The asshole from the first book is still causing drama

- attempted sexual assault on h by OP

- domestic violence by OM

- lots of bloody mafia business

- important secondary character is killed off

- the H and h are only with each other

- 3 year separation - both MCs are celibate (besides a couple stolen moments with each other)

DUET REVIEW 4.5 STARS

'Our fathers are enemies. Our lives are predestined – doomed from the start.’
‘You don’t date the son of a crime boss for the Irish mob when you’re the daughter of a senator.’

Well, what can we say after reading Trilina Pucci’s St. Simeon Prep Duet in one hit? It’s a tale as old as time, a gritty, raw, and dark version of the star-crossed lovers, Romeo, and Juliet. Riddled with angst, suffering, and manipulation. Saturated in love, passion, and eroticism. Swathed in heartbreak, vengeance, and violence. This duet was quite the rollercoaster ride and Trilina Pucci had our emotions all over the place till the very last page. A dark anti-hero romance that was fabulously written, all-consuming, and skirted with boundaries, just how we like it!

“The devil already knows your name, Calder Wolfe. And one day, even he’ll be afraid of the king…Tragedy awaits you. Death is knocking. And it’s on her doorstep.”

We have a soft spot for love stories that are cursed by circumstance, in this case even more so as this duet was hard as bloody nails. It wasn’t pretty hearts and flowers or even stereotypically romantic. Rather, it was a mess. Ugly, tainted, and bloody. There was so much packed into this story, from families at war, Irish mob, corrupt politicians, and murder and torturous enemy mayhem. We were there for it all!

“I’m going to give you the stars, and the moon, and –"
“Love. You’re going to give me love.”

The way in which Just like Heaven began, we had a feeling this wasn’t going to be an easy ride. As soon as we read: “Your love will end tragically – he won’t save you…. But you will save him.” We just knew! And we were not wrong. We had chills as did Sutton when she comes across her destiny, her soulmate, Calder Wolfe. Wheels are set in motion and their tale is as harrowing as it gets, yet the love is fierce and all-consuming.

“Death isn’t waiting for Calder. It’s listening for his instruction.”

We hung on to the knowledge that we were able to immediately pick up Sinning Like Hell to continue their journey, knowing full well it was going to get a hell of a lot worse before it got better. We had no idea! But there was beauty too hidden amongst the pages.

“You saved me. Gave me purpose. Led me to be the man I was supposed to become. Because for an angel to walk on this earth, it’ll need the protection of the Devil.”

Sutton is a beautiful, slightly naïve, and innocent Catholic girl who faces the ultimate test when she’s rendered speechless by the blue-eyed ‘devil’, the magnificent dirty-talking bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks, who is everything she didn’t know was missing from her life. In return, Calder knows he’s found his soulmate and he will fight to the death to keep her safe and in his arms. The path to their ‘happy’ is like one long explosive fight scene. Twists and scheming manipulations are thrown like roadblocks to thwart their romance and happily ever after.

“I hope you find me and that I’m still whole. Because I never anticipated that when I told you I was willing to wade through hell to be with you – that tonight, the Devil would call my bluff.”

There are some scenes in this duet that are so bloody hot that turning the pages scorched our fingers. You all know those scenes, the ones that are so outrageous, they completely start a fire in your belly and get your pulse racing! We’ll say no more on that…. except Calder Wolfe is everything! This duet consumed us, and we can only liken the experience to an active volcano that simmers until it boils over into a frenzied eruption of hot molten fiery lava…pun intended.

Whilst it felt a tad too insta-love for us initially, by the time we turned the last page of the second book, we were in tears at the heartfelt beauty of Sutton and Calder’s love story!

“Write about a love that defies the stars. Write about yours.”

“This pussy is mine to do with as I please. I will fuck it until it cries for me, and then I’ll kiss it better. Because, baby, I was made to fucking worship you.”

You ever start a book and just KNOW in your gut within the first few chapters that's it's going to be something epic, mind blowing, heart shattering and unforgettable? This duet!!!!

Calder Wolfe is one of my favourite book boyfriends of ALL TIME!! I will never forget him and his protective alpha dirty-talking hotness!!!

I.
AM.
OBSESSED.

I finished book 1 and immediately yelled at Trilina some because I was absolutely DYING to find out how Calder and Sutton's star-crossed, forbidden, heart wrenching love story was going to end.
Book two. I was scared shitlesss. Not gonna lie. But so excited to start! I was nervous for my loves Calder and Sutton. I lived and breathed these books for days after I finished. I couldn't sleep without thinking about these characters and everything they went through.

THAT my folks is what I call an unforgettable, epic romance.

In order for me to somewhat enjoy book two, I had a pretend the die-hard InstaLove in book one was real and genuine.
It made the crazy emotions of Calder and Sutton more believable.

The angst and drama is there.
It’s all there. Sad deaths. Good deaths.
Angst of being apart.
I mean, most the book, they were apart from eachother… FOR YEARS.
And ended up writing in journals.. and masterbating to memories of eachother. 🧐

“Because one day, we’ll sit out on our porch, looking up at the same stars that we fell in love under, not being able to remember ever even being apart.”

Oh I think they’ll always remember the shit the author put them through.

It took years to seek revenge. Meanwhile Sutton is going through pure horror from her parents and Hunter.. it’s a dramatic mess. Pure fucking chaos. It was like a train wreck that I couldn’t stop reading.
Like those 90’s soap operas that our parents watched when we were kids.

Was there smut? I mean. I little bit..
“This pussy is mine to do with as I please. I will fuck it until it cries for me, and then I’ll kiss it better. Because, baby, I was made to fucking worship you.”

Yes to an HEA. If you really loved this duet, it’ll definitely make you cry. The HEA is intense but we definitely get one where Calder and Sutton finally find their peace and happiness.
I may have not completely vibed with this series, but I see why people recommended it. It’ll definitely keep you reading. I read both books in a single day myself.

A love that transcends time! Calder and Sutton meant forever but the devil had other plans!

My heart is racing as the tears spill down my cheeks! I am just completely enamored with this love story and was addicted from the start! I didn’t know where Trilina would go and I definitely didn’t anticipate half of this but I couldn’t picture it any other way! That’s all I’ll leave you with because I will NOT spoil this experience for anyone! Just know it’ll all be worth the pain!

I am just a sleep deprived girl sitting in front of her computer trying to form coherent thoughts about this book series that WRECKED ME. And by wrecked me, I mean that I was broken in the most amazingly beautiful way. How…HOW? How do I move forward? How do I even write this review? I basically didn’t stop reading until I was sobbing at 4:30AM after DEVOURING these books.

This is one of the best modern day Romeo and Juliet retelling I have read. I mean, I am comparing it to and ranking it up there with Baz Luhrmann’s remake with Leo and Claire. Like I just CANNOT stop thinking about this series. These books aren’t just meant to be read but seriously experienced.

This was an onslaught of angst. To say that Romeo and Juliet went through trial and tribulations is almost laughable compared to what Sutton and Calder endure. I am not sure I would be strong enough to endure all that Sutton and Calder endured. I am not going into details because I won't spoil anything but man, to say they suffered is an understatement. I think it is safe to say that Trilina Pucci has redefined what sacrifice means for me in the name of love.

The character growth and development for both Calder and Sutton is honestly mind blowing. I think Sutton grew up the most during this as the lifestyle that Calder was already leading had him more mature than Sutton in Book 1. I loved seeing Sutton finding her voice and no longer settling for not being able to support herself. I admire Trilina Pucci so much for doing this for Sutton.

This book hurt but the ending is so worth the walk through hell.

6 "MY FAVORITE READ OF 2021" STARS

Holy. Fuck. Holy. Fuck. Holy Fuck.

The angst. The choas. The revenge. The tragedy. The sacrifices. The love. The beauty. The pain. The ending.

Trilina Pucci you are a sadistic bitch and an angel all rolled into one. Sinning Like Hell wrecked the hell out of me, tore my heart to pieces, and then you so beautifully put it all back together.

I didn't think I could fall more in love with Calder and Sutton but Pucci proved me wrong. These two owned me. The love they have for each other so pure and true, yet also so dark at times. It was so fucking consuming. So captivating. So epic. A love we all dream of having one day.

Calder and Sutton have become one of my top favorite couples. Their story will be timeless, a reread for years to come.

If you've not read this series yet, I highly recommend you get to one clicking. It's a wicked, dark, twisted series that will have you on the edge of your seat, completely in love with our hero and heroine. Sinning Like Hell will leave you begging for more. I know because I was infatuated from start to finish.

Speaking of endings, Pucci gave Kristen Ashley a run for her money when it comes to epic endings. So much perfection and sadness wrapped in one. I couldn't have asked for anything more or better.

Trilina Pucci just wrote my favorite read of 2021.

Trilina Pucci has delivered an edge of your seat, dark and delicious story that readers will LOVE! Calder Wolfe will own your heart and soul, and Sutton's fight and passion is 100% perfection. The conclusion to their story is one of epic love, which will take you on an emotional roller-coaster ride that is worth every page of heartache and pain.

This author pulls no punches with this storyline and the extremes to which these characters will go for not only each other, but for vengeance. Every scene is intense, and you will find yourself gasping and holding your breath, and possibly wanting to throw your kindle at times. But buckle up and let the story take you where it will, and when it's over, you'll find yourself wanting MORE from these characters and this world.

Calder & Sutton's chemistry and connection is magnetic and FIRE, and the story-telling is all-consuming and brilliant. BRAVO T Pucci for a bold and powerful epic romance! Well done once again!

Blown away by the beginning, middle, and end! The author told a star-crossed-lovers tale like no other, drenched in passion and soul searing love.

Calder and Sutton were destined. True soul mates who would be tested in every way.

This one will tear you apart, but the love holds true and it endures. You’ll be swept up into mafia life and dragged through the trenches. Calder will need to find his monster to take his queen. Sutton will need to find her strength and her path to become the queen for her king.

This story is passionate, filthy, shocking at times, devastating, and full of love. Love that was steadfast and true. A love that conquered all. And those epilogues…priceless!

This was the perfect conclusion to the duet! Like break me absolutely in half and put me back together again. Keeping me completely on edge the entire way through Calder and Sutton’s continuing storyline. Blood, sweat and tears were shed by all. This story, as gritty and devastating as it was gripping and perfect. Everything that happened, had to happen the way it did for it to go the way it did. Trilina artfully plotted and planned down to the finest of details. My senses were in overdrive. I felt like I was there. Felt the fear, heartbreak, love, loss, excitement, all alongside the characters. That’s the mark of a truly great book. You get so enraptured by the story you forget you are not actually in that moment. Guys I’m telling you. Grab this duet! It is magical. It is the kind of kismet love story you will never forget and never fully recover from. All the stars in the galaxy for Calder and Sutton! ⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨

Calder and Sutton have lived a life of hell. These poor kids could not catch a break for the life of me and Trilina.....I commend you for writing one heck of a duet. I think this has been one of the greatest duets I've read in 2021!

My heart bled for these two. They had such a strong bond, their love was like no other. They were faithful to each other no matter what. They fought and fought until the ends of the earth. Nothing and I mean nothing was going to keep them apart. They did the impossible, they fought and fought for their love. They suffered but the one I suffered the most for was for Sutton because she went through beatings that she did not deserve. Her parents were the worst, who has a child and then would use them as a pawn in their own filthy dealings!

I would have loved to jump into the book myself and strangle her mother for being such a witch with her daughter and her father got what was coming to him for turning a blind eye on his daughter. Hunter!!!! I just can't even talk about him because he makes me angry just mentioning his name.

I just have to say that throughout this second book I was mostly saddened throughout the book and even the ending I wanted to let out a few tears of sadness and of joy. Even though these two went through hell they still managed to overcome hell to get their happiness and that's all that matters. But all the time they lost is something they will never get.

Trilina Pucci, you are one heck of a writer and I try and never miss one of your books because not only do you make my emotions go crazy, but you sure know how to write one heck of a hot book!

“Death isn’t waiting for Calder—it’s listening for his instruction.”

Sinning Like Hell is the much anticipated ending to Calder and Sutton's story, and although I was anxious to get my hands on this book, my heart just wasn't ready.

Torn apart by their families, Calder and Sutton's plans to run away are shattered, leaving nothing behind but heartbreak. How can you move on when half of your soul is missing?

Trilina Pucci has slayed me with this incredible love story. The angst is real with this one, folks. So much angst. So much heartbreak. So many times, I wanted to throw my Kindle while I had tears in my eyes. Much like a modern day Romeo & Juliet, Calder and Sutton's story is an epic romance filled with death and destruction. This duet is one that you won't be able to put down, and it's easily one of my top reads of the year.

This was a phenomenal, epic read!

"There is no me without him. No world I'd be forced to exist in without him in it. The thought is unbearable."

Sutton and Calder were EVERYTHING! They were strength. They were sacrifice. They were passion. They were devotion. They were LOVE!

"Death isn't waiting for Calder. It's listening for his instructions."

I devoured every single word of this story. It was graphic, tense, heart-pounding, heart-wrenching and so thrillingly passionate! I was fully invested in their HEA. My heart hurt for Sutton's stoicism and suffering, and applauded her gutsiness and strength. My heart howled for Calder's determination and pain, and his helplessness. Such a fabulous, captivating, and visceral story. I'll be thinking of these two for a long time to come.

After the first part of the duet Trillina left us wanting to know what happens now?
Well…. What happens in this book will make you pretty much rip the hair off your head.
The way everyone treated Sutton? And all the emotional and physical beating she took all so that Calder could come to get her in the end. I actually thought that she was in a psychotic coma and she was dreaming it all.
All the revenge Calder got on her behalf was beautiful and earned. I would have loved Sutton get some of her own revenge but unfortunately that didn’t happen. She was just too good. The fire to his cold. The yin to her yang. They protected each other something fierce!
The beginning of the book was harsh. She was alone still in her nightmare. I felt so bad for Sutton. She really was a puppet to her parents and a few other key player too.
I started to feel like she was never going to get out of this vicious circle of being used.
The moment she stumbled into the church and hid in the confessional booth and then Calder came into the church too. I was like “she’s here! Go get your girl!”.
The ending had me crying my eyes out. Don’t worry you will too!
Loved this raw and dirty duet!

I mean, where do I even begin?

Trilina has outdone herself, she went and wrote something so epic that it left me on a huge book hangover. This book starts off right where book 1 ended, Calder and Sutton are the modern Romeo and Juliet, these two have to fight in order to be together.

There are so many things that happened, things that had me crying like a baby. Calder is goals, he loves hard and fights for the love of his life. This is the duet you need to read ASAP!!!

This book was the ending that Romeo and Juliet should have gotten. It was bloody and brutal and excruciatingly beautiful.

The ending made me cry … and as much as I love romance books and have read so many amazing stories … this never ever happens. This quite possibly is the best love story I have ever read.

Thank-you ☺️

This is one of the best duets I've read in a very long time, this book made me bawl my eyes out. For soo many different reasons, not just one scene multiple. I hate so many characters in this duet, Hunter, Tyler, Connor, her parents, hunters parents. I love Calder, West and Rome. Sutton has a backbone in this last book its incredible. I also like harper and Aubrey. I hope there more to come.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and options are my own.

Finally, the conclusion to one of my favorite duets of the year. This book, like the first, Just Like Heaven, had me absolutely mesmerized. The love, pain and suspense throughout the book literally had me on the edge of my seat. This book picks right back up where book one ends and you are just thrown in with the wolves. Calder and Sutton are probably some of my favorite main characters ever. The passion and love that these two share for one another just literally radiates off the page. From book one, all the way through book two, their love and devotion never lets up. No matter what they go through or the trials and tribulations that they’re put through, they continue to prove the love they have for one another. The Romeo and Juliet-esque story definitely enhances my love for this book. It’s not exactly the same, but it definitely resembles parts of Romeo and Juliet which is probably why I love the book so much. It's such an all-consuming story and probably one of my favorite reads of the year. I don’t wanna say anything else because I know I would give something away. This book will forever be ingrained in my brain and, to date, this duet is my favorite by Trilina!

Such an unforgettable and epic romance.

A looong separation like 80% of the book before they’re back together. Is this really a romance?? More
Like a coming of age story with a romance in
The mind.
