My latest in PJ Media:
As I noted last Tuesday, the establishment media spent the days leading up to the twentieth anniversary of the 9/11 jihad attacks publishing stories about how Muslims had been victimized by “Islamophobia” in the attacks’ aftermath. They didn’t put away the whitewash on the fateful day’s anniversary, either, and why should they have? Even Old Joe Biden, or whoever writes his material for him, felt it necessary to go out of his way on September 11 to decry “resentment and violence against Muslim-Americans — true and faithful followers of a peaceful religion.” But CNN went even farther Saturday: as the 9/11 memorial commemorations were going on, the “news network” published a lengthy piece entitled “9 tropes about Muslims that are a product of Islamophobia,” designed to ensure that all your thoughts about Islam are warmly positive.
Can you remember any CNN pieces attacking anti-Jewish, anti-Christian, anti-Hindu or anti-Buddhist “tropes”? Neither can I. But when it comes to Islam, the establishment media feels a particular solicitude. “There are nearly 2 billion Muslims in the world,” CNN tells us, “and the religious group continues to grow rapidly. Yet Islam continues to be largely misunderstood by many, which has given way to Islamophobia and even violence against Muslims.”
Violence against innocent Muslims or any innocent people is never justified, but while anti-Jewish hate crimes are far more common in the U.S. than anti-Muslim hate crimes, CNN doesn’t publish any articles about how Judaism is “misunderstood.” And much of CNN’s windy article is thin gruel indeed, refuting misconceptions that no one really holds, or if anyone actually does, they’re hard to imagine as inspiring any violence against Muslims, such as “All Muslims are Arab”; “Muslims worship Allah, their own special god”; and “Muslims don’t believe in Jesus or respect his teachings.”
The article finally starts getting to the heart of the matter with the fourth “misconception,” “The Quran encourages Muslims to commit acts of violence against non-Muslims.” I won’t bother quoting the Qur’an’s many exhortations to commit acts of violence against non-Muslims, because CNN’s article anticipates such quotes: “Claims that Islam encourages violence against non-Muslims are usually the result of people isolating verses from the religious texts that grant Muslims the right to defend themselves.” It quotes Zainab Chaudry of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR): “Cherry-picking verses from any religious text, including the Quran, and isolating them from their broader context and misapplying them to justify or condone any kind of violence is inappropriate and deeply harmful.”
Apparently some comedy writers (Dean Obeidallah, is that you?) had a hand in this CNN article, because right after warning against “cherry-picking” verses, it indulges in some “cherry-picking” of its own: “In fact the Quran is very clear about violence. Chapter 5, Verse 32 states: Whosoever kills an innocent human being, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind, and whosoever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.’”
There is more. Read the rest here.

On 9/11 Anniversary, CNN Publishes Article Designed to Make Sure You Think Only Positive Thoughts About Islam
………………..
*Just sickening*–and to propagate this tripe on 9/11 is especially appalling.
Other bs in this CNN article include these supposed falsehoods:
5. Muslims want to wage holy war by way of Jihad
6. Muslims worship Allah, their own special god
7. Muslims don’t believe in Jesus or respect his teachings
8. Muslims want to bring sharia to the West
……………..
Of course, these are all true.
And here’s more disgusting fake-victim-mongering from Zainab Chaudry:
“Two decades after 9/11, Muslim Americans are still dealing with mistrust within their communities”
https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/history/remembering-911/two-decades-after-911-muslim-americans-are-still-dealing-with-mistrust-within-their-communities/275-19c34554-b06a-4df6-ba1a-4a764ba68ca7
Notice there is not a word of criticism here for the Jihad terror attacks of 9/11–this should not surprise.

All valid comments by you, gravenimage.
And here is the comment I would add in query form, to wit, how do non-Muslims fare in Muslim countries? For instance, can Christians, freely without threat to their person, preach their religion to Muslims in nations like Iraq and Iran (hey, how about Saudi Arabia?) as Muslims are free to do so in sundry Western countries?
Though both Islam and Leftism employ double standards, daily actually, I still would assert that the best way to point out the hypocrisy and overall error of corrupt ideologies (like Islam and Leftism) is to demonstrate conclusively the double standard they regularly engage in in numerous ways.

Good questions, Wellington.

Their *reporting* goes against logic.
They claim that islam has this many fools, er adherents and they claim that the numbers are growing.
They then claim that mozlums are “misunderstood,” that islam is. and, therefore, mozlums are victimized..
So, all of these new fools are falling for something they don’t understand, and other non-fools don’t like islam because they don’t understand’ it either.
cnn…collection of non-news…has no real concept of what islam is or what mozlums want for the rest of us.
Any group that has as much **positive** air-time, and their **experts**… such as from c.a.i.r….brought on the air to ‘explain, defend, and especially to “promote” it, is not the victim.
The whole thing….trying to force the public to accept and even bow down for islam…is evil.
islam is demonically evil and promoting it, lying for it, building a nice *image* for it, is also demonically evil.

Agreed, somehistory.
In brief, demonic evil (de) + shilling for (promoting) demonic evil (de) = de x 2.
I would close here by noting, oh my what a coincidence, Joe Biden is from Delaware which has as its postal abbreviation DE.
Can’t make this stuff up. No need to. As so very often the case, truth is stranger than fiction.
No need to go on. I will close here. Best to you and yours.

Wellington,
Thank you. I had not made the connection with his “state.”

They know there is a high probability of another similar attack on American soil, so they are getting in early with the pro-Islam propaganda and brainwashing.
Westman says
“..Chapter 5, Verse 32 states: Whosoever kills an innocent human being, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind, and whosoever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.’” This was a rephrasing of godly instructions to the Jews, not Muslims.
Ah, yet chopping off body parts and killing is OKd in the very next verse: Quran 5:33- ” The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement”
Such outrageous innocence by a barbaric religion trying to escape its past; dragged down by its most pious believers. Islam has surely lost its war for respect and no amount of subterfuge by CAIR or the OIC can restore it. Islam made the mistake of documenting the adult life of Muhammad and having no reformer to passivate the primal violence of the Quran. The only recourse to restore Islam’s image is ignorance, which is being rapidly erased as jihadists keep attracting attention by committing mahem.

Islam is not a religion, it is a lie hate and murder. It must defeated.
Besides, there are not 2 billions muslims, maybe one billion. They use their dead people if they recount people, and people who did not exist.
Their children are mostly degenerated and as they are brought up to kill non-muslims, they are brain washed and their IQs are from the beginning very low.
Besides, there was never any mohamed as the excellent book “Did Muhammad exist?” by Robert Spencer

After living among “moderate” muslims for decades, I don’t have any positive thought about Islam. The experiences I have are oppression, intimidation, discrimination, extortion and occasionally violence from the muslims.
If CNN wants to change people’s view of Islam, they should do it to the muslims, not to the “Islamophobes”, because it is very rational to fear the threat from muslims who follow the teaching of Islam.

I dont want to read their book, I never will. I go by actions and words. I conclude it is not peaceful.
James Lincoln says
Check,
You certainly do not have to read the entire Koran in order to quickly realize that it is pure evil.
Giacomo Latta says
”Whosoever kills an innocent human being, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind, and whosoever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.”
Every book has an intended audience. Anyone who has read at least two of the longer chapters of the koran would notice that this audience is a male human being. Thus, the translation that uses the word mankind is not one from a misogynistic male of Anglo-Saxon heritage and is quite à propos. It should be noted that the only love shown in the koran is of one muslim to another. The ”mankind” quoted is obviously a muslim.
abu taleb says
No infidel is innocent human being according to Islam, so it is quite ok to kill the infidels. The greatest sin according Islam is doing shirk and that is exactly the infidels are doing. So, it is quite alright to kill the infidels who spread corruption on earth.
