My latest in PJ Media:
One of the worst aspects of Biden’s handlers’ thoroughly preventable disaster in Afghanistan is the message that it has sent to the world. Among those who have received that message loud and clear is Communist China. Focus Taiwan reported Sunday that “a total of 19 Chinese military aircraft, including fighter jets, flew into Taiwan’s southwestern air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on Sunday, the fourth time this has taken place in September, according to the Ministry of National Defense. The aircraft involved were 10 J-16 multi-role fighters, four H-6 bombers, four SU-30 fighters, and one Y-8 anti-submarine aircraft, according to a report released by the ministry.”
It’s hard not to see China’s new belligerence toward Taiwan as yet another core element of the Biden legacy: When America projects weakness to the world, malign actors take advantage. Nor is this even anything new; the ChiComs began acting aggressively toward Taiwan just days after Old Joe took office. The Daily Wire reported that “this is not the first time during the Biden administration China has sent a multitude of jets into Taiwan’s air defense zone; on January 24, 15 aircraft were spotted; on 12 April, Taiwan reported 25 jets.”
On June 15, after the G7 issued a statement calling for “peaceful resolution” of issues between Communist China and Taiwan, the People’s Republic made it clear that it understood the significance of this less-than-ringing defense of the freedom of the Republic of China, sending a record 28 aircraft into Taiwan’s ADIZ.
None of this should come as any surprise; the Communist Chinese have known what Old Joe is made of for quite some time. The Daily Wire noted that back in 2001, then-Senator Joe took to the Washington Post to declare that “as a matter of diplomacy, there is a huge difference between reserving the right to use force and obligating ourselves, a priori, to come to the defense of Taiwan. The president should not cede to Taiwan, much less to China, the ability automatically to draw us into a war across the Taiwan Strait.”
They were paying attention in Beijing back then, and have remained attentive. As the catastrophe in Afghanistan was just beginning in mid-August, Global Times, a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organ, was ready to draw its inescapable conclusions. In an editorial published on August 16, the CCP sent a harsh message to the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), the ruling party of the Republic of China on the island of Taiwan: “The DPP authorities need to keep a sober head, and the secessionist forces should reserve the ability to wake up from their dreams. From what happened in Afghanistan, they should perceive that once a war breaks out in the Straits, the island’s defense will collapse in hours and the US military won’t come to help.”
There is more. Read the rest here.

Who could blame them. Soon they will make the move for the Yen to be the International Standard of currency. Im not smart enough to predict what happens after that, but smart enough to know it wont be
something good for the citizens of the USA.
Joe is not in the business of the United States. His business is about 14 hours ahead of D.C.’s time zone.

Why do I feel Biden made a deal of some kind with China over this.

The Capitalist nation of China called “Taiwan” engages with commerce with the different countries of the world.
The Communist nation of mainland China has infected and contaminated the countries of the world with the plague of the coronavirus.

Yes, and the CEO’s of Western companies have more or less exported the whole industrial manufacturing base, know-how and jobs these past 3-4 decades to China. I don’t think the Western World can even manufacture electronic components like chips and computer motherboards anymore (barely). Covid-19 masks needed to be imported from China. The whole thing needs to be imported.
Of course, politicians are also to blame as they keep throwing sand into the business environment with more taxes, et al. Startups, even great job-creating ones, usually do not survive the first 3-5 years. Here politicians could make a 5 year tax-free environment for business start-ups, then a small slowly progressing tax if they survive and start moving.
“Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.” Ronald Reagan

Hank,
Makes me think of a few lines from George Harrison’s “Taxman”
“Don’t ask me what I want it for
If you don’t want to pay some more
‘Cause I’m the taxman
Yeah, I’m the taxman”

No Surprise: Communist China Is Taking Advantage of Biden’s Weakness on the World Stage

This always happens when the forces of good are weak–or even worse, appeasing.

It’s obvious Biden is cognitively impaired and that someone gives him his orders. He is unnecessary except to sign documents. His speeches and press conferences reveal he is not controlling anything.
Foreign leaders should skip talking to the El Cid president and talk directly to the ruling junta who has power in Biden’s name. They are the real president. It’s only a matter of time before the cabal of White House conspirators quarrel, turn on each other, and self-destruct in public.
They will start to blame each other in public for what went wrong. Joe-mentia’s administration will have a palace coup soon when the leaks begin in a big way.

That pseudo President Joe Biden was useless to save what was the government of Afghanistan. Biden only helped the enemy of the people of Afghanistan and of America who are the vicious and murderous jihadists of the Taliban.
Therefore, the ruling Communist of mainland Red China would naturally see that weak old Biden would likewise be useless in in helping the people of Capitalist China, Taiwan, from the Red menace of Communist China from the invading the grand and productive Capitalist nation of China. [Taiwan]

I’m hoping that Taiwan manages to survive at least until 2024, so that we once again have a government that underwrites its security. In the meantime, hopefully, Japan, India and Australia back them up. They all have major economic self interests in doing so

Americas survival is at stake. I hope my great grandchildren can live the life that I’ve had in America, while not always perfect its better than most all other places on earth. In America you can start out in poverty and slums and if you WORK hard maybe two or three jobs you can move your family out of poverty and into a better life. Our leaders need to be people that understand the value of hard work and education, and stop the idiot idea that everyone should live the good life if they work or not. Our political leaders job is to protect Americans at all cost, not to fund and support the rest of the world. The idea of a one world rule is not good, open borders is a country killer and thats the plan of Americas enemies.
