He’s not just a piece of meat—he’s got a story to tell. And she’s got all night to listen. In this tantalizing romance, MJ Fields and Chelsea Camaron prove that when life knocks you down, you get up swinging.

They call him “Kid.” At seventeen, he killed a man with his bare hands. Showing no remorse, he spent seven years in Baraga Correctional Facility. Now, at twenty-four, Kid has stepped back into the world with no family, no job, and nowhere to go. Luck has never been on his side. But love just might be. . . .

Tatum always wanted to write the kind of gritty, important books that are supposed to make a difference in the real world. But to make ends meet, she’s considering a new genre: romance. She knows she needs a muse, like the half-naked hunks on all of those trashy covers. Tatum just has no idea where to find one—until she catches the eye of a hard-bodied bad boy who’s so sexy it’s almost scary.

Kid is shocked when cute, squeaky-clean Tatum approaches him with a very forward proposition.

Will Kid let a woman use him, or will he fight the desire he feels?

“I did a bad, bad thing.”

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🤎🖤❤️
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 😠😘🤓😉
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Tatum - she is a successful writer of non-fiction. Her first book about the foster care system and two other books after that had all spent time on the New York Times bestseller list. However, her editor and best friend Melanie told her that her type of book is not what is selling and requests that she write a romance novel next. So she agrees, but hasn’t had a romantic relationship in years.

The Hero: Angelo (a.k.a. Kid) - he was in prison for seven years after causing the death of a man he got in a fight with. Since getting out of prison a year ago, he is still on parole and his friend and mentor died, leaving his Gym business to Angelo and another guy named Jaeger. Angelo lives above the gym and he has been suffering from PTSD from events in his past and has not been sleeping due to terrible nightmares.

The Story: Tatum sees Angelo in a coffee shop and is immediately attracted to the handsome 6’6” muscular bad boy despite the taciturn and unfriendly vibes he sends out. She follows him to his Gym and tells him that she is a writer and needs a muse. At first he thinks she is crazy, but he is more attracted to her than he has been to any woman in a long time, so she eventually draws him in.

This book is told in dual points of view via dual narration by Alexandra Shawnee and Aiden Snow. Aiden does a terrific job as always, and has a great voice which I really enjoy. Alexandra is a good reader and shows a lot of emotion through her voice, but I am just not a fan of her voice, she sounds like a 50 year old mother, not a young successful and beautiful writer.

I liked the story, though the premise doesn’t make sense to me. Why would an editor for a successful non-fiction writer suddenly ask the author to change to romance novels? Anyway, Tatum was pretty quirky and a bit dumb at times, like walking alone on the streets of Detroit after 11pm and going to a bar alone.

The romance was super steamy and I liked Angelo a lot and I liked the way that meeting Tatum had him finally facing his past in a real way while she did the same. However, some of Tatum’s “written” intimate scenes from her romance book were just badly written smut.

Use Me: Kid's Story was the 4th book in the Caldwell series by authors MJ Fields and Chelsea Camaron. Although it was part of a series, Kid was not a Caldwell brother and can be read as a standalone without missing anything.

Angelo "Kid" Mazzini was the large, scary and quiet boxer that co-owned the boxing gym, Legacy. He was only a year out of prison. He kept to himself and didn't welcome interactions with anyone, and especially not strangers.

Tatum Longley was the beautiful romance author who was looking for inspiration. She saw Kid and knew immediately that he could be her muse.

Use Me was written with dual POV. Fields and Camaron set the stage well in the first chapter for Kid. We knew it was going to be filled with darkness and pain with us longing for healing as we unravel the mysterious layers within Kid.

I was unsure about the premise as I started. I'm not usually too fond of reading a book written in the storyline by the heroine as a secondary story to the main plot. However, I loved the journaling and the author's creativity with it. It felt like one story versus two; which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Use Me was a tale of tragedy, hurt, pain and healing. I enjoyed the myriad of emotions and obstacles the authors took us through to eventually get to a forever love. For as dark as it was, it was also sweet; the perfect contrast.

As a surprise we were introduced to yet another troubled young boxer, Buck, and we'll get his story in Teach Me. Until then, we can soak in Jared's story in Save Me. And lastly as a bonus, the authors published Breathe Again, the romance novel written by Kid and Tatum throughout the storyline.

All in all, Use Me was a well written, well developed, quick and entertaining read. I thoroughly enjoy this author duo and look forward to reading more.

Nope. Did not work for me.

I HATE dead exes. But I especially hate dead exes who are the “love of your life”. I should have stopped there. But...I didn’t.

I just did not feel it. They used each other. I don’t think they would have ended up together if not for an event that happened several months after they separated. Actually so many months that the timeline did not work and was not believable.

Can’t say I liked the heroine much. I like Angelo. But the two together? Not so much.

Disappointing end to the series.

Use Me by M.J. Fields and Chelsea Camaron is book four in the Caldwell Brothers #4 series. This book is a full-length stand alone romance novel.
Meet old and new acquaintances.

Tatum Longley, a 31 year old author has a writing block. She goes to Detroit and tries to write a romance novel.
Angelo Mazzini, a 25 year old gym co-owner and ex-felon doesn´t do relationships, like ever.
Shawn his friend and mentor died of cancer and he inherited the gym "Legacy " together with Jagger Caldwell.
Tatum needs a muse and she decides Angelo has to be her muse, if he wants or not. She´s persistent.
Soon things get hot and steamy, like HOT.
They fight and make up, they hurt each other and make up. They can´t be with and can´t be without each other. They have this crazy chemistry.
This book has it all, love , hurt, pain and insecurity. Use Me has twists and very unexpected turns. Turns I never had dreamt of.
I greatly enjoyed reading this book. I liked the characters and I recommend Use Me.
5 Stars and Thank you M. J. Fields and Chelsea Camaron!

I love when these two authors come together, this was an emotionally amazing book. While reading this my emotions were all over the place. One minute I was in tears and the next all hot and bothered. At times I just wanted to smack the hell out of Angelo and then I wanted to wrap him up in a hug and never let go. Tatum was amazing, I loved her from the beginning. This was one of hell of a amazing book and I highly recommend this one.

MJ Fields is one of my favorite authors and Chelsea Camaron ! I found this Audible version of the book and saw Aiden Snow was narrating and he has a raw, sexy voice! I was not crazy about the female narrator.
I really enjoyed this book and the storyline was amazing! Tatum is a successful author at writing nonfiction, but her publisher wants her to write a fiction romance. She travels to Detroit and notices Angelo the Kid Mancini and he is perfect for her muse. He is tall, gorgeously attractive.
Angelo has had a heartbreaking past and he is not interested in becoming Tatums muse. His is a serious man and has no time for her even if he is attracted to her and she is very attractive to him.
This book has so many surprises I was not expecting and it’s an emotional read which made me teary eyed. As the storyline progresses and their attraction grows, their love scenes are hot! She has to go back to NYC but does so with a broken heart. But, the ending is so beautiful and so very unexpectedly beautiful! I have not read the previous books, but I do believe this one will be my favorite.
Worth a credit? Yes!! I will re-listen 🎧 again.

Each and Every time MJ Fields and Chelsea Cameron sit down and write a book together the most unbelievable stories come together. This time we get Use Me.
We get the pleasure to meet Tatum Longley a woman who is looking to find closure from her past and with her writing she is looking towards her future, but when a chance meeting in a coffee shop literally finds herself meeting Kid everything changes on a dime.
Kid, a man who has struggled with the past that has seeped into his Here and now sees no one and that's the way he likes it but when circumstances puts you in the way your reality can change in an instant.
Tatum & Kid come together for such different reasons but sometimes your paths just cross and your life entwines. Their is so much emotion coming from these pages that you can't not help feeling it in your own heart. You are cheering them on but with every good there can be a bad but what you hope is that Happiness comes out on top.

As a HUGE fan of the Caldwell Brothers series, I knew that I had to give Use Me a go and see what this stand alone novel from Camaron/Fields was all about. It sounded so great from the blurb and knowing their track record, I couldnt resist.

Angelo/Kid and Tatum’s story is really a break from the norm as far as what I have been reading the last few months. The premise itself is fresh and somewhat new. Tatum is a nonfiction writer who is switching to romance and needs a muse. Angelo/Kid is a rough, tough, HUGE tatted up ex-con of a man who is just perfect… if only she can convince him of it.

One of my favorite aspects of this story is the realisticness (is that a word?) of it all. Tatum is so awkward, as most women would be around someone as breathtaking as Kid. And he is shy and almost a bit backward and naive to some of the things in the world. He just seemed so sweet. I fell in love with both of the characters almost immediately. The book kept me smiling throughout.

The writing had a great flow and feel to it. If you havent read the Caldwell Brothers stories, you dont have to in order to enjoy Use Me, but they are great books and you will enjoy them.

Here is all you need to know about MJ and Chelsea----they are creative as sh*t! I know there are other books out there about romance novelists and the person who helps them get over whatever block they may be having. What these ladies have done is brought us that trope but with two unique characters that would never in a million years have found each other if it weren't for them both being stuck in the same city, trying to atone for their past.

Tatum and Angelo "Kid" start this dance with a proposition but end up being the balm to each other's souls. You don't need to read the other books in the series to be able to pick up pretty quickly on the history not only with the Caldwells but with Kid and Jagger's relationship. I am always the champion for the broody, grumbly, alpha male. Angelo wins that prize! So much pain and heartbreak in that man. He needs to find the good in the world.

What also becomes a sweet surprise is Tatum's story and how the characters develop out of love and longing. Angelo starts as her muse. But ultimately it's their ability to open up and give themselves to each other that makes the love story complete.

Fabulous story. Crazy good writing. AND.....Jared's getting a book!! Woot! Can't wait to get his back story.

Grab this one! Loved it!

The story has laughs, secrets, naughty fun, suspense, and heartbreak. I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well and I was kept interested.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Hendrix (Caldwell Brothers #1)
Morrison (Caldwell Brothers #2)
Jagger (Caldwell Brothers #3)

This is Tatum and Kid (Angelo)’s story. Tatum is a writer but her friend needs her to step out of her usual writing and write a romance. She is trying but not having any success. When she sees Kid she suddenly knows she needs him to be her muse. But he wants nothing to do with her. Can she convince him? Kid just wants to fix up his place and the gym. He is not one you take home to meet the parents. He killed a man and served his time. Now he teaches men to fight in a cage. He knows he has rage inside him that he can’t control. He sticks to himself. But with the passion that flows between him and Tatum he is about to go out of his comfort zone in a big way. One month he will give her everything she needs and then she will be gone. But what happens when feeling become involved and she seems to attract danger? Can he calm the rage but keep her safe? Can he really open his heart to love?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read. When you get two authors together who write best sellers on their own you know the book is going to be freaking awesome!!!

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from these authors.

(I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review)

Oh Kid!! I loved him so much more than I thought I would - and I pretty much expected to love him because I've loved all of the Caldwell Brother stories AND Visibly Broken! But Kid... Oh Kid! He stole my heart! He was so sweet and protective and physically strong yet fragile - I just want to cuddle him up... and then do some "stuff" with him. He's 6'5, sports a man bun and beard, and tattoos, plus he's smart - that's pretty much my dream guy.

If you've read any of the Caldwell Brother books (and if you haven't, you REALLY should), you'll know that these are not run-of-the-mill romances. Each main character has a back story that is rife with pain and has deep scars. Kid and Tatum are no different. They both are dealing with loss and Kid is burdened with guilt in addition to his loss. The way that they come together and help each other heal is beautiful - I really enjoyed that it wasn't a cookie cutter type of HEA, that really wouldn't have been fitting to the tone of the book or the series. Even when we KNOW that characters are going to end up together, it's nice when their path isn't the most predictable one.

Jagger will always be my favorite Caldwell (he was my first - I'm a rebel and read them out of order), but I think that Kid is a close CLOSE second. I actually wish the book was a bit longer; I would've loved to read more about Tatum and Kid - to really witness them connect on a deeper level, but the connection is believable nonetheless. MJ Fields and Chelsea Cameron can keep writing books in this Caldwell series (and there are two more coming YAY!) in to perpetuity and I will keep on reading them.

WOW! I'm a huge fan of both these amazing ladies, so I couldn't wait to read Use Me. They blew me away, which I shouldn't be surprised, but they raised their own bar higher as a dynamic duo (if that's even possible)! The man they call "Kid," used to be a gentle soul, until he killed someone at 17, and did time for that. Tatum is a non fiction author, who is being forced to write a romance, so she goes to look for a muse, when she comes face to face with the tortured soul of Kid. She offers him everything, but he's too scarred to take it. Will she be able to bust through his walls? The angst level of this awesome piece of goodness almost brought me to my knees, and my eyes may or may not of leaked more than once. But there was some great well placed humor that offset the leaky eyes, which had me laughing a lot. Plus, the hotness factor made for a FIERY BALL of sexy scene goodness that almost incinerated my boy shorts! This dynamic duo had me fully captivated from the get go, and I didn't move until the very last word. I would have never guessed that it was more than one author, because it flowed perfectly. Add in a few twists that had me dropping f-bombs like the boys at the gym, well, you have the perfect story! So do yourselves a huge solid, and just read Use Me ASAP! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

5 star Review Use Me (Caldwell Brothers #4) by M.J. Fields & Chelsea Camaron

Having read and loved the previous books in the Caldwell Brothers series where we were first introduced to Angel Mazzini aka Kid, I was intrigued to see what these two authors had in store for him. Kid has had a troubled past, incarcerated for seven years for killing a man at seventeen he is struggling with his past and the guilt he carries.

He recently inherited half of the Legacy gym with Jagger Caldwell and is focused on turning his life around. Tatum Longley is a writer suffering from writer’s block. Kid and Tatum meet in a coffee shop, neither looking for a relationship and yet there is a connection which is impossible to ignore; neither realize that fate has plans for them.

I loved the journey that these two embarked on. The banter between them was witty and I found myself immersed in their story. Use Me is a story of coming to terms with your past, forgiveness and healing and finding love when you least expect it.

Closing a chapter and starting a new one Tatum goes to Detroit say good bye to her love. As an author she has decided to change her genre and tackle a romance at the center of her story is Angelo her muse. The next chapter of her life is now her inspiration.
Angelo, is stuck living with his past, suffering the guilt, until he meets Tatum and then things get really interesting.
Their connection is what pulls me into this story. Kid and his sexy talking and brooding ways. The banter they share. Their story unfolding along with the book making you wonder which is real the story she is writing or is it their love.
An exciting an passionate story about new beginnings, love and closer. Incredible!!!

Use Me is book 4 in the Caldwell Brothers series by M.J. Fields and Chelsea Camaron. This book is more a standalone in the series and can be read together with the series. This is Angel Mazzini aka Kid and Tatum Longley's story. Kid recently inherited half of the Legacy gym with Jagger and has a troubled past. His past colors his present greatly. Tatum is a writer and is now having to write romance but needs inspiration, something or someone to get her creative juices going and a chance encounter sets her on a course with Kid. The chemistry, emotions, feels , drama and emotions that weave throughout the story keep the readers attention from start to finish. Tatum and Kid really have you rooting for their love story. Enjoyed the ending.

He growls! Not your quintessential bad boy.
Where do I begin? I fell in love with Angelo "Kid" Mazzini the moment I began reading! He's a man not running from the past but owning his crime. What happened in his past plagues him day and night. Not letting anyone get close. He just doesn't know that Tatum Longley an Author who's friend and publicist urges her to leave her comfort zone of Nonfiction and enter the world of fiction in the form of a romance novel will Use him and turn his world right side in. Keeping a promise to some one from her past she chose to write and draw inspiration in Detroit, Michigan she had no idea that this journey would teach her to "Breathe Again".

Sweet baby Jesus Kid is Hot with a capital H. Did I mention he growls?...Swoon! This book gave me all the feels! I could feel the hurt and pain from both characters. The chemistry between them was electric!
I would recommend this book!! I would also recommend you have at least three pairs of panties next to you. Be cause those that don't melt will definitely be soaked!

Use Me Caldwell Brothers #4
MJ Fields
4 stars

This is a standalone series for lack of a better word and I have missed the first four books. I wish I had read them because this was a good read. I might have loved it more though if I would have known of the other men or background.

I have a feeling that Kid was mentioned in the other books and that we know more about his past from those stories. Maybe why he is a loner, why is he refusing to love someone or let anyone love him ... or the bond between he and Jagger. I know he lost the man he considered his father and now runs the gym he left behind. A legacy.

Tatum is a writer that needs this book. Her best friend and publisher is pushing her to find a muse. A chance encounter at a coffee shop sends Tatum into a whirlwind and becoming a person that she never knew was inside her. She shouldn't offer herself on a platter to this man but she can't help herself. But when he denies her .... now what?

I did really love these two characters. They were both finding themselves .. one again after his served time and another because she was trying to be someone she wasn't. Again I loved the story line and the willingness of each character to give into things they shouldn't have but knowing in the end it would hurt and it was only an agreement.

I am looking forward to back clicking. You don't have to read the first three books but I am anxious to find out all I can about the other characters that appear in this story. Looking forward to the next for sure. Its time to go play catch up! Thank you for the chance to read an ARC! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets!

I've read a few books by MJ Fields and I've read a few books by Chelsea Camaron. And I have wanted to read their books that they have written together for a while now but have never gotten the chance. But after this book I really really need to correct that problem!!!! And it is a problem!!!
From the first page I was drawn into this book. And the tale they were weaving around Angelo and Tatum and how unusual and orginal it was. The characters where so well developed that you actually get the sense you know them. Even though there is some mystery around some aspects once you learn everything it all comes together beautifully. The secondary characters just add all the extra bonuses that this story needs and I am sure that they have there books but I didn't feel like I was missing anything. So even though they say it's better to have The Caldwell Brothers Series, it's not necessary. I didn't feel lost or anything so it is a stand alone even though I am going to go back and read them and then reread this book. I should have known that this book would have been amazing. I love these two authors individually so why not together and guess what them together is absolutely dynamite!!!! I devoured this book in one sitting, I couldn't put it down!!! I absolutely loved it and I highly recommend it!!!!

I've read almost every book by MJ Fields, but sadly only a few books by Chelsea Cameron, which definitely needs to change. When they write together, they create something beautiful. As you read the book, the one thing that was undeniable were the emotions that poured through the pages.

I don't want to give too much away, but I'll tell you both characters are well developed, and Angelo and Tatum are both swoon worthy for different reasons. (That's right, a chick can be swoon worthy too!) Look, if you want a book that will make you feel, make you blush and might even make you tear up a bit, then you're going to want to one click Kid's Story.

Tatum likes to do the right thing, "I force out the words, “It was rude that you didn’t let me pay for your coffee yesterday.” He doesn’t say anything, not one word. He just stares at my mouth, making me very uncomfortable. “So, I brought you coffee.” Kid aka Angelo is a very blunt man, "I step closer to her. “You want me to eff you against this wall, Tatum?” Melanie, Tatum's bff describes Kid down to a T the man is a beast and it's sexy as heck, I really liked this book.

This is the story of Tatum, an author who has been forced by her editor to write a romance novel, the steamier the better.
She heads to Detroit for to find a muse, just for a month, and decides on Angelo Mazzini, a co-owner of a gym called Legacy, he's also an ex-felon who likes to be left alone and doesn't get himself involved in relationships...ever. So when Tatum shows up, bugging him, and pushing, he's not happy...but intrigued because she's hot and he can't get her out of his mind. It's not long before Angelo can't resist any more and things really heat up, they both also find themselves talking to each other about their pasts. Is a month going to be enough, or to much for their hot affair.
A wonderful book. A very unpredictable story, which is full of insecurities and love. Great chemistry between the leads in the book and nice to revisit old characters.
I highly recommend "Use Me". It was a fantastic book.

Wow just wow!

You know when you get MJ and Chelsea together you are going to get an awesome book. These ladies hold nothing back, that's why they are immediate one clicks for me.

This is one of those books that got better and better the more I got into it. Angelo is a wonderful character who is starting his life over after being in prison. He has a chip on his shoulder and is just existing not living at all.

Tatum is a writer, she came to Detroit to finally let go from her ex who was killed. Never expecting to find her future in the same place.

Use Me is a sexy and emotional book. Yes, I cried. I cried happy tears and yes, sad tears also. It is impossible not to fall in love with these two characters and their story. I absolutely loved it!
