I have the best job in the universe—I treat omegas in heat. I’ve been doing it for seventeen years and can safely say that I’m immune to that inconvenient sickness called love.
I’m the great Walter Sébastien, the preeminent heat teacher with an internationally famous magic dick and the self-control of a martial-arts monk. I’m a sex god with a heart of stone, an invincible pleasure master, your can-go-all-night-long fantasy lover, the emperor of orgasms... He Who Would Never Fall Again.
Then one day, a nerdy little single dad with trembling fingers and inconspicuous glasses smiles at me, and I’m screwed. I’m not supposed to go down like this. I’ve never even kissed a client, let alone fallen for one.
Except Daniel Chevalier isn’t like any other client.

This was not for me. No rating. I think the only thing I have ever liked about omegaverse is the possessive alpha, but there was none of that here. Walter being a heat teacher, it was all very clinical and professional at first. Then it turned sugary sweet.

The sex made me uncomfortable. All this talk about womb. Breeding. Slick. :::shudders::: I don’t know why I kept reading. For the romance? Yeah don’t do that. It’s like watching porn for the plot. It will get awkward fast.

The Teacher becomes the pupil - when it comes to falling in love that is.

OMG the heat level in this one, even for Roe, is off the charts. Walter and Daniel are combustible, but there's so many feelings involved too.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, Roe Horvat writes erotica which is so intense you can feel the heat bouncing off the page but it's also packed full of emotional engagement, connections beyond the physical and this book was an utter delight.

Honestly, one of his hottest but also one of the most emotionally connected pairs I've read. This series with Walter Sébastien has been an utter triumph as far as I'm concerned. i hope this isn't the end though!

#ARC kindly received from the author in return for an honest and unbiased review

Teacher delivered, and thank God for that!

As a devoted fan of the Walter Sébastien Notebook shorts, I spent the better part of 2021 desperately awaiting the moment that this dreamy heat teacher, who always put the needs and pleasures of others before his own, would finally get his own wonderful love story.

And wonderful this romance was.

With a teacher/student type-dynamic that was pure perfection, this story finally saw Walter have his carefully organised, rule driven life shaken up, when he unexpectedly falls for his latest client, an omega by the name of Daniel Chevalier.

Daniel is a school teacher and a single-father to little tyke, Teddy, who is naturally the centre of his whole world. To say Daniel’s nervous about leaving his son for two weeks and feeling totally out of his comfort zone sharing his heat with a stranger like Walter, is putting it mildly, even if said stranger is a master at what he does, both renowned for his care and sexual expertise.

Walter knows pretty quickly that Daniel is unlike any client he’s had before. He’s beautiful, in a non-traditional kind of way, but it’s in his sweetness and vulnerability, and his surprising personality, that Walter realises quickly that he must tread carefully as to not cross any professional lines he can’t uncross.

But chemistry can’t be denied, and soon enough, in the emotional and sexual intensity of sharing Daniel’s heat, Daniel and Walter find themselves feeling connected in ways that go well beyond the parameters of teacher and client—ways that will change their hearts and lives forever before their two weeks are up.

I enjoyed this story so very much. It’s just the kind of love I wanted Walter to find. If anything, it went beyond my expectations, showing the reader a much more complex and vulnerable side to Walter than we once saw in his sexy little short stories of his heat teacher escapades.

I found myself easily loving both Walter and Daniel as characters. I loved the way they adored each other so ardently from the moment they shared a truly intimate moment (and what a moment that was). I also found their relationship struggles (post-heat) so very convincing, as they experienced pain and longing, before finally finding a way to merge their very different lives in the real world. Their happy ending was messy and real and so very romantic.

Horvat really does omegaverse like no one I’ve ever read. The steam between Walter and Daniel was, as predicted, off the bloody charts, and the omega/alpha vibes were perfection, but, as always, you can rely on Horvat balancing the tasty erotic tones with some truly fantastic characterisations, great relationship development, and pitch-perfect emotional depth. It really is the best of both worlds!

For fans of Horvat and this loosely tied together series, there’s not much to say about this ABO universe. Right?

Walter has been living life and enjoying it quite well for the most part. He really truly doesn’t want to be tied down in a relationship for he has all his needs fulfilled as a heat teacher/coach. Or does he? Suffice it to say, even the mightiest will fall, and in between the heat sex daze and pheromones, there’s a definite weight to this as Walter struggles with an unprecedented attraction to one of his clients. He’s absolutely dumbfounded and appalled by his unprofessionalism, but he can’t resist the lure of Daniel.

Again, ABO explicit erotica with plenty of all the goodness including KNOTTING, this succeeds because of the emotional heft from both MC’s that’s well balanced with snarky humor along with some kid cuteness.

Overall, my favorite thus far!

In true Horvat fashion, Teacher is at once a filthy, erotic sex bomb of a book and a tender love story.

Walter Sebastien, heat teacher extraordinaire, agrees to help Daniel, elementary school teacher and single dad, through his heat. In his notes, he writes only one word: Careful.

Almost immediately after Daniel arrives at his cabin, Walter realizes exactly why he wrote that warning. He can't keep his distance from Daniel, not when the omega begs to be bred so hungrily, not when Daniel smiles, and certainly not when Daniel kisses him and asks to make love.

Walter doesn't make love. He fucks and guides and instructs. He doesn't kiss his clients, and he certainly doesn't fall for them. Until Daniel.

Once his heat ends, Daniel is determined to keep his distance from Walter, but Walter can't let go.

At this point, I got annoyed at Daniel's inability to smell the roses. He wasn't willing to do anything to meet Walter halfway. Walter did all the work. I don't like that kind of power imbalance in a relationship.

In the end, however, with a bit of interference from Caleb, His Expectancy, Walter and Daniel make a life together, one filled with laughter, love, and passion.

I will never complain about too much sex in one of Horvat's omegaverse books, but I will admit I skimmed through a few of the scenes. I still very much enjoyed this story, although not as much as Devoted and Innocent.

One of my favorite aspects of Roe Horvat’s writing is how, from the very first page, I never know where we'll end up… or how we will get there. The only thing I'm certain of, is that it will be beautifully written, and full of wonderful feels.

Roe Horvat has written a number of marvelous stories centered around Walter Sébastian and his heat teaching practice. (Download links are available on the author’s website.) Each story pretty much stands alone, including Teacher, but I recommend at the very least, read Caleb’s First if you can. This story gives great background into Walter’s ethics, and establishes the relationship between Walter and Caleb.

If you've read any of the stories from this series, there’s no doubt you’ve been crushing on Walter! He's sassy and sauve, and his self confidence is extremely sexy. (Hey, his cock is "world famous", don’t ya know?)! Seriously though, this man has endeared himself through his unselfish and altruistic actions. And I couldn't wait to see who would finally catch Walter Sebastian's eye, and hold on to it.

I promise you’re going to fall in love with Walter. His warmth, his positive attitude, and his genuine selflessness, makes it even more meaningful to watch this wonderful man find his happily ever after.

4 stars ⭐️ I liked Daniel and Walter together! they are a great couple, and their chemistry was incredible. I loved how Walter embraced every flaw in Daniel without questioning. Walter was the perfect guy for Daniel, and he was unique and special for Walter.

Daniel was a single dad who was a father of a four-year-old son, Teddy. (Teddy was such a character! I liked him too)

Daniel wasn't a mind-blowing attractive guy but he had a gorgeous smile that could kill Walter by only showing it to him.

Walter was a heat teacher, and he was alone in his whole life that he hadn't realized until he got to know Daniel.

“Daniel is my mate. My mate. We belong to each other.”

It was interesting to see how Walter first thought Daniel wasn't attractive but after catching a glimpse of his fascinating features, how he couldn't take his mind off of him.

This author did an amazing job writing both sex and relationship parts interesting. Only Roe Horvat can write sex scenes so deliciously and beautifully, and I'm not complaining one bit. 🤭

Although we all know Roe Horvat for writing great smut with feelings. I believe this book is unique from his other works. Here, we glimpse imprints of his new writing style(Again, feeling-filled smut ) and old angst loving self. Nothing less than this perfect combo could have worked for an MC like Walter Sebastian.

For those who have never read any other books with Walter as a side character, Horvat has established him as a heat teacher, sex-loving, easy-going guy within a few pages of the book.

Then he meets his new client, Daniel and his self-belief about "Unremarkable nice guys were my favourite"crumbles. I love that the physical attraction was not instant for Sebastian. It would have been if Daniel was extraordinarily beautiful but no the author focuses on his lovely smile, his personality and how Walter was dumbstruck by Daniel's Sneaky yet unforgettable beauty.

Not to mention but every smutty scene was ultra hot. It was panty-melting(Literally🤭🤭), it made me feel dizzy, hot and bothered and something I am going to re-read whenever I am in the mood for some great smut.😂😂

But, just when I was clenching my thighs, Horvat punched me in the gut with some soul-sucking angst. However, the miscommunication and misunderstanding were not forced. It felt like part of the relationship development.

"I was him, and he was me. There was no inner struggle, no winners or losers, just peace."

And, then Roe Horvat imagined, this is not enough let me kill them with an overdose...And we get to see the great Walter Sebastian as the best boyfriend in the whole fucking world. 🥰🥰 Damn!! it how my stupid heart was not supposed to cry after seeing Walter making pancakes with Daniel's son Teddy.

P.S- If you have taken an oath that you will read only one of Roe Horvat's books, I recommend this one. And, mind you I am someone who has read everything by him.😂😂😂

[4.6] WALTER FINALLY GETS HIS HEA AND I AM HERE FOR IT!!! the buildup to this momentous occasion had my expectations soaring and this didn’t disappoint—meaningful, emotionally charged erotica at its finest 😌👌🏼

this is the story of Walter being exposed as a turned blushing schoolboy who goes off on endearingly nervous ramblings and is truly dead clueless when it comes to the matters of the heart in the face of his mate ❤️

BUT DAMN DOES HE PROVE THAT HE STILL IS *THE* MASTER IN THE ART OF ~THE BODY~ 😳

needless to say, Roe Horvat delivers on all fronts 😏

⚠️ very minor spoilers ahead but jic ⚠️
.
.
.

the first third with Walter’s initial reactions to Daniel were absolutely priceless, like falling under Daniel’s spell after seeing his smile again (”Careful” 😉) and his immediate reaction essentially being “fck, well i’m screwed” was everything!!!

then Daniel proceeded to defy my initial impression of him as your average shy mc with his boldness and joking banter (that even had Walter blushing at times) and i was more sold than i already was 😍

even though they technically had their established roles of teacher and client, i loved how their relationship was still very much a two-way street: they took care of each other like lovers would, attending to the other’s needs by giving them the pleasure and comfort they required out of nothing but fond affection and devotion.

a few misunderstandings crop up as they navigate their feelings but they were resolved fast enough for me to be amused at Walter’s endearing cluelessness more than anything 🤣

even the presence of Daniel’s young kid Teddy never felt intrusive in the story and we got a few cute scenes like this one:

He pushed his face between the couch cushions and showed me his butt.
“Up. C’mon. Bath and bedtime.”
“Nooo.” The long howl came out muffled by the thick upholstery.
“Up. No discussion.”
Another long whine.
“It’s almost eight. We have to go to bed, Teddy.”
He began moving on all fours, slowly climbing down the couch and crawling over the carpet like a sloth. He was driving me nuts.

such a sulky kid thing to do but i thought it was adorable while picturing it in my head 🤣💖

in summary, GO READ THE BOOK, MY FRIENDS!!! i’ll be waiting for everybody’s reactions to certain parts of the book (i have a few scenes in mind hehe) in the meantime. have fun~ 💃

For me, this is the best book in the series.
(and I love that cover, too!)

We got to know Walter Sebastian, the heat teacher, in so many other instalments in this series, and I really wanted him to be happy, too. It was becoming very clear that, despite revelling in a plethora of sexual gratification, he started yearning for ‘something else’, feeling lonely and empty.

I got to say: Roe Horvat delivers with abundance.

What I loved:

.) Walter: know how about sex: 10
Know how about love: 0

Walter has been compartmentalizing any feelings that go beyond attraction for so long, he has no idea what hits him when Daniel enters his life. His legendary self-control and self-assurance suddenly go into free-fall, which in parts is very moving, in other parts quite funny. Brilliantly written with feels galore!

.) Daniel: knowledge about life: 10
Knowledge about fulfilling sex: 0

Daniel is a nerdy, “mousy” maths teacher (or so he says) who has hardly experienced any (good) sex in his life. The process of Walter coaxing him so gently and tenderly into enjoying sex and then blossoming through it is utterly beautiful and so sweet (in the BEST sense of the word)

.) the romance:

There is a lot of romance here compared to other books in the series, and it is one of Roe’s best, in my opinion. While both men are immensely attracted to each other right from the beginning, the progression they go through to develop and acknowledge real feelings (beyond sex) is written superbly. I admit I was in tears a couple of times, for Walter’s sake. He is such a lovely guy.

.) Guess I don't really need to mention the scorching, red-hot trademark sex!

Basically: I really loved this, and will, no doubt, reread.

The first time you smiled at me, … I only wrote one word. Careful.

I think this might be my fav Roe Horvat yet. It was just my kind of story.

Am I the only one tho, who reaches for a RH novel when another book they’re reading burns too fucking slooow? Just for a little heat wave in between? *hahaha *lmaooo

I was the great Walter Sébastien with an internationally famous magic dick and the self-control of a martial-arts monk.

I’m fucking brilliant at this shit. You think you know me, but you have no idea just how good I am at what I do. Or how good I used to be. Because then Daniel pushed his glasses up his nose, smiled at me, and my career and half of my fucking personality are in shambles.

Well… teacher. I think you’ve learned something new.

I was looking forward to this story, because dang Walter, I loved him already from the previous stories.
Walter is a professional heat teacher, the best there is to find, helping omegas through their heat. Everything changes when he meets his next client twenty-seven years old Daniel Chevalier an omega, a single dad, and quite sexually inexperienced.
His smell is so intoxicatingly delicious it makes Walter stumble over his feelings.
The almighty sex god Walter Sébastien is falling, hard.
He gives this endearing omega everything he has and more.

“I can make love to you in a thousand different ways.” Hallelujah Walter!

“His entire nervous system was having a party.”

It was super duper hot, and Daniel is head over heels. Only, they could never be anything more.
With Daniel being a single dad and Walter his job as a heat teacher here, Daniel could never share, it could never work.

Watching them was mesmerizing, enthralling, passing out while in orgasm was ghahh indescribably hot.
Walter, sweet, confused Walter, hopelessly in love. Awesomeness!!
Besides the amount of sexual activity, there are an equal amount of feelings all over the place!
The tail of this story is so wonderful!
No matter what the content, this author excels.
This omegaverse story was absolutely fabulous. I enjoyed it so very much!

When I heard that Walter was getting his own story I got so excited! From his past appearances, it was apparent that he felt as if something was missing from his life, he wasn't happy. He was lonely...

Once again, the first half of the book is heavily packed with sex scenes, but that's no surprise. There's still a plot to be found, though, even in those pages, and that's what makes these books so appealing. There are still emotions, development, events.

Here, the characters used the first half of the book to get to know one another and to form an emotional connection on top of a physical one. Walter had to make sense of what he was feeling and to make some decisions about how he wanted to handle the situation that he found himself in.

Eventually, Walter and Daniel decide to spend their time together as if they were a couple. They don't talk about the future, but it's apparent that they both want something more. They know that their lives aren't compatible the way they are, so they decide to just enjoy what little time they can have together.

And then, reality crashes in - in the second half, when they venture to the world outside.

Walter is my favorite character in the series, hands down. He's a genuinely good person who cares about those around him and takes care of everyone. He can appear arrogant or flippant at first, but those are just fronts. In reality, he's compassionate, loyal and an awesome friend to have on your side.

Daniel had been through a lot with his former partner and now he is a single father raising his four-year-old with only the help of his parents. He was dedicated to his son and he put him above everything, as he should. His parents sounded fun, I wouldn't say no to a story about them.

Old characters make some appearances as well as some new ones, but this works fine as a standalone. I don't know if there will be more books in the series, but I keep thinking that Walter's old mentor with his partners may have an interesting one to tell.

~ I read an ARC of this book. ~

I'm gonna divide this into 2 parts: Pros and Cons

Pros....
- Very hot sex
- Cute pet names
- Mates: So the alpha doesn't want anyone but his omega after they connect.
- Page-turning narrative, until it became too long.

Cons:
- Too long...I skimmed after the 60% mark
- Too much sex and not enough relationship.
- the shift from clinical prpfessional heat teacher to lovesick alpha was very abrupt
- Call me old-fashioned, but an omega in heat topping an alpha didn't really strike my fancy.
- Caleb basically telling Daniel what Wakter should have said on his own.
- Plot holes: Such as Walter becoming part of the family, seeing him with Teddy at least a bit.

4.1 “the teacher gets schooled” stars

m/m erotic romance, omegaverse, opposites attract, close proximity, insta-lust)

“I love everything about you. Your nerdy, sex-crazed brain, your trembling fingers, your perfect lips, and those glasses. I love you, Daniel. I’m so in love with you it hurts.”

Q: Is it worth reading?
A: Hell yeah! I mean, it’s Roe Horvat guys. The guy who weaves sublime smut, emotional storytelling and a coherent plot! Need I say more?

Q: Who’s this Teacher? And the other guy?
A: Walter, the Teacher, is a world famous “heat teacher” who guides omegas through their heat, a period when they are most sexually active and fertile. He’s a jaded sexual guru and commitment phobe. Daniel, a single dad and elementary school teacher, is sexually inexperienced and awkward.

Q: What about the plot?
A: Daniel is about to go into heat and needs Walter’s professional services to experience it with minimum discomfort. Unattached omegas are especially vulnerable during this period since their uncontrollable sexual urges make them easy prey for any alpha. Daniel goes to Walter’s chalet in a remote area for ten days, where their love affair begins.

Q: What’s the deal with the Teacher and the single dad?
A: This is a classic case of opposites attract. Sexual guru vs. sexually inexperienced single dad. Commitment phobe vs. relationship guy. Suave vs. awkward. Confident vs. insecure.

Q: How does the relationship develop?
A: It’s insta-lust in a close proximity situation. Walter and Daniel are both caught unawares when feelings sneak up on them during their torrid sex sessions. Sophisticated Walter loses his cool and catches feels during sex; he even cries! And nervous, shy Daniel turns into a sexual tiger. Unnecessary drama forces a split between the two after Daniel finishes his heat. They eventually reconnect, at which point Walter undergoes a complete 180 and becomes the perfect boyfriend.

Q: Does the writing leave you wanting more?
A: Nah, I’m all good. In fact, let the author speak for himself.

“I held him, my lips against his nape; I breathed him in, and I knew that I’d always do whatever he wanted me to do. Even after he’d be gone from my life, I’d always belong to Daniel.
We fell asleep entangled as if we were lovers.”

Q: What's the steam level like?
A: Incendiary. It's gloriously filthy smut. You'll need a fire hose to cool you down afterwards. Seriously.

Q: Any quibbles?
A: So, my man Daniel was kinda irritating. His insecurity made him push Walter away; he let fear rule him and it led to an unnecessary breakup. Secondly, Walter’s about-turn into a perfect, committed boyfriend was so fast and drastic that it felt a tad unrealistic.

Q: What’s the final verdict?
A: What’cha waiting for folks? Give it a go! I loved it and it’s among my top 3 Horvat books.

~ 5 stars ~

The book is super steamy and HOT. Both of the main characters are amazing. The romance is sweet and swoony.

Loved it. But it still was more like a 4 stars read. Yet the reason I'm giving this book 5 glowing stars is - The couple is versatile. I have never read a mm romance set in Omegaverse, where the couple is versatile. The Alphas never bottom. At least, I haven't seen anyone doing so until Walter.

Dude! It was just amazing. Roe

Consent, sexual compatibility, sexual adventure, physical intimacy… are all things that are rather taboo in our society. It should be f*cking celebrated, what our bodies are capable of. The things two (or more) consenting adults can do with their body is limitless and it should be shared and celebrated.

That’s what Roe’s writing is. People might consider it “porn with plot,” but I always correct them and say “it’s sex in its purest forms, which includes emotion and pain and intimacy and LOVE.” This book encompasses EVERYTHING. The way Roe writes love through the powerful connection of the deepest physical intimacy is unlike any author I’ve ever read. We’ve read about Walter in his omegaverse series. The eternal bachelor who takes care of omegas and couples in their heat. It’s set up that he’s ok with his perfectly physically satisfying job. But what we discover he lacks when Daniel enters is the intimacy. And the secret pain he’s shoved down by denying himself that bond.

Roe writes with absolute poetry whether it’s filthy sex or an intimate conversation. This book will make you FEEL. Horny, happy, sappy, sad, even a little angry… but by the end it’s happy tears and big stupid grins. Even if you don’t read omegaverse, you should read Roe’s. I suggest reading Walter’s shorts series Walter Sebastian’s Notebook first, and Devoted, but you don’t HAVE to. It will just make the experience of Walter and Daniel’s HEA all the sweeter.

I have SO BEEN waiting for Walter's story within this series, and I'm so so happy to finally read it!

Walter is a very respected and well-known heat coach - he helps omegas through their heat. Because of his job, it's understandably hard for him to have much of a personal life. I thought it was interesting and also a bit sad to see how detached he can remain from it all, how level-headed and factual he keeps things - until Daniel comes into his life, and then Walter is sortof a fumbling mess and I really, really love it.

I LOVE the omegaverse world that Roe has created here. And I love getting to see some of the previous couples make appearances in this one. I also love how romantic this was - despite it being very sexually charged, the time that Walter and Daniel spent together was also very sweet and caring.

The last couple of books in this series have been my absolute favorites and I can't wait to see what'll be next from this talented author!

The Perfect mate for Walter

We have gotten to know Walter over several books….but did we know him like we thought we did? Revelations are revealed and Daniel peels back all the complicated layers that are Walter.

This book was beautiful.
Walter let Daniel see his vulnerabilities. I think Daniel was unprepared for all the feelings Walter invoked. I’m glad Daniel and Caleb were friends AND that Caleb sets him to rights. Thank god.
It was mild angst but still! I was like Daniel, Walter is your mate. Snap out of your self doubt.

Obviously, there was amazingly hot heat sex and kinky times BUT this book was so much more than that. It made you feel! I fell in love with their love. It’s all swoony and sweet.
The HEA was just perfect too. A VERY well done ending for our Walter.
My fave character in the series. Love! ♥️♥️

I will say that this was my least favourite of his omegaverse series. For mainly two reasons, the switch from casual heat teacher to insta love was so fast, it gave me whiplash. I wish there had been a bit more build up so I could see the love grow. Second, Walter's character was not what I expected and it kind of threw me off, he was very emotional?

Regardless, the steam and writing was A+ quality, which is not a surprise as I wouldn't expect anything less from Roe Horvat so I would still recommend it!

One thing never lacking in a Roe Horvat book is the steam and Teacher had it in spades! On the flip side the surprising tender moments between Daniel & Walter had me tearing up.

Omegaverse stories are not my general cuppa but when I need something a bit different or a distraction, I know I can dive into one of these and be completely consumed by this fictional world the author has created.

Walter was not the Alpha I was expecting, and Daniel wasn't the Omega was I expecting either. The reversal during the heat kind of surprised me but I found that I really enjoyed it. Neither man was completely locked in the role that was expected of them and that really enhanced the story for me. It showed a softer side to Walter that I wasn't expecting. You notice quickly that Walter is rather closed off on his emotions and because of his condition he thinks that he is not worthy of love. Daniel was able to bring out another side of him that I don't think we would have seen without that reversal.

While I adored Daniel there was just something about him that I could never quite connect to. Walter was what made this story for me and seeing him completely change from the person we first meet to the person at the end of the book it left me awestruck.

Roe never lacks in the steam department but in this book, I saw a different side to him that I didn't get in the other story that I read by him. It has me open to the possibility of reading more of his books.

3.75 stars 😯?? I’ve never read an mpreg book before, primarily because I don’t like pregnancy stuff in my MF books, let alone when you’re throwing in a/b/o & omegaverse, which aren’t for me. Surprisingly though, I did enjoy this book, I’m not sure I would’ve liked any of the others in the series though, because the thing that made me want to keep reading was Walter…He’s just so sweet.

4.5 Stars!! ❤️❤️ I hope this isn' the end of this series.. I have liked all the stories so far and although this can be read as a stand-alone, it's better to have read at least the book 2 before this one. Great MCs, and really incendiary chemistry between them. Highly recommended to all M/M erotica fans.. 👍👍
