Robert:

My life has been a rollercoaster ride, consisting of both wonderful and horrifying moments. I was a child when Nico found me, resulting in my adoption by a woman who raised me alongside the Mayson children. They became my best friends and life was good until tragedy struck and I ran off to join the military. When I came home, everyone welcomed me with open arms. I was at an all-time low, drowning in my dark thoughts, unsure how to go on, until love saved me.

Rose:

Being on the run with a small child hasn't been easy. I thought we’d finally discovered our safe haven in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A relationship was the last thing on my mind, then I met Robert Kent, a wounded hero inside and out. While I tried to resist him, doing so was impossible, as if something greater than ourselves wanted us together. Our respective pasts made us kindred souls. When mine comes for me, I pray we're strong enough to survive it.

Warning: Sweet, sexy and safe read! Happily ever after guaranteed! This author writes what she likes to read. That means there will be instalove, OTT Heroes, and, brace yourselves, virgin characters at times. If none of those float your boat, you might want to find another book. 3 (But could have been 4) Robert and Rose Stars

Anyone who knows me , knows that Aurora Rose Reynolds' Until Series, is one of my all time favourite series. I love the original books and the 'Until Him/Her' next generation books have been so enjoyable. I am all about the Mayson 'Boom'.

May Gordon is a new to me author so I am unfamiliar with her work. The actual premise for this story was intriguing - I love Alpha heroes and whilst I love slow burn romances, sometimes I am all about the insta love. I really liked the characters, Robert , Rose and of course, little Posie who is Rose's daughter.

The story got and kept my attention. Robert has an incredibly sad past because up to the age of eight he was horribly neglected and after the death of his Mother he is rescued by Nico (Until Nico ) and starts a new life with a friend of the Mayson family. He then enlists in the military and stays away from his hometown for fourteen years and when he returns he is clearly struggling with PTSD. Rose and Posie are relatively new in town and as the story develops it becomes clear they are running away from someone or something. As the respective Hero/ heroine in the story they are very likeable and endeared themselves to me from the start. I was invested in these two from the beginning and wanted to know how they would navigate the obstacles in their way.

So why not more stars?
Two reasons. Firstly it is a really short read (121 pages) and it feels incredibly rushed. This had the potential to be a cracking read but the story galloped away with itself and the character development just didn't really take off. Secondly this book really, really needs an edit. There is absolutely no way this book was proof read. I would never normally count up how many typos are in a book but I was so distracted by them , I did, and there were 110 that I counted. Now, I don't think you have to be a whizz at punctuation and grammar to write a story - that is what proof readers / beta readers / editors are there for. If you have a story to tell , tell it , but get it checked. It really detracted from a great story. Not only was it odd punctuation, it was completely wrong words. A few examples below.

She pretends like nothing happens , dropping her hand and giving me a toner smile.

It's then I relies I didn't flinch from her touching me.

Seeing him like this only makes my infliction to him worse.

We walk with surprisingly wellness to our destination.

I stroke her blades curls.

Then I turn back to her, and slowly start to remove her clothes but my patience have vacated me.

Without warning , I spread her legs wide and thrust into her, adding my own sounds of pleasure as my cock wears her like a teeth.

Robert gives her a big smile, keening down to her eye levle.

A decent edit and more time to explore some of the themes in this novel would have made it a 4 star read for sure , maybe even more.

HEA? Yes , it has two gorgeous epilogues , one a year ahead and the other five years on from that.

Cheating? No. These two are all about each other.

These "Until" books are just getting more ridiculous. There might be the odd 3-4 star read, but this wasn't one of them for me unfortunately.

So let's begin... Robert is saved by Nico Mayson as a child from a neglectful mom and is adopted by a nice lady. Flash to years later and we see Robert just getting out of the military because of severe PTSD. Alright, good beginning.

He almost runs main character Rose off the road while he was looking at his phone (big no no) and within 2 minutes of almost killing her, he plants a big kiss on her (tongue and all) and then leaves. Is that what is romantic now? Grabbing a stranger and kissing them, not knowing if they are married or with someone? I think there are laws about that. Skeevy.

Enter Posie, Rose's daughter (about 7-8ish?) Apparently super smart since Rose is a teacher and home-schooled her because they are on the run, but we don't know who is after them until near the end.

So every time Rob and Rose run into each other, they make-out and even end up in one cringey place TWICE! Her school! Gross. I am pretty sure you would be fired on the spot for straddling and grinding against someone in the nurse's office at a child's school or have your dog guard the door of a supply closet so you can make out. Totally unbelievable. Why was everyone laughing about this? I am not a prude, but there is a place for that and a kid's school isn't it.

To sum up the plot, Robert jumps at everything because of his PTSD (even almost stabbing Posie!) And Rose is supposed to be hiding out from her brother.

Turns out Posie is her niece, the parents being her brother and a random woman. But Rose raised Posie and stole money and drug evidence from her brother, so now he is after her. He does catch up to her, but Robert saves her. The end.

Now my opinion: this book was seriously messed up at times and totally unrealistic.
- saying a-hole and co*kblocking to a small child? Calling her ideas stupid? Swearing in front of her constantly? Sure, father material right there.
- the spelling mistakes were rampant through the book, proofread!
- Rob physically assaulted and threatened two 12 year olds and all the teacher did was give him a "stern talking to". Ummm what?!
- when Rob went to save Rose, he loaded up with grenades and smoke bombs. Again, what?! Are they that readily available that people just have them laying around their homes?
- Rose was so worried about someone kidnapping Posie, but she just kept leaving her every where alone. In the water, stores, field trips, etc.
- Rob had no problem picking up a 7-8 year old child (he didn't know Posie yet) wandering around, then driving around town without letting anyone know. Maybe call the police? A missing child?!

Serious overuse of the "boom factor" from the Until series. There was no Boom. Their relationship was silly and everything about this story was disappointing.

such a cute romance!

if you want a single mom romance, with a hero that falls not only for the mom but also for the kid, this is for you!
he's suffering from PTSD after leaving the army, and the moment he meets her is as if all his trouble goes away.

this is so freaking sweet, it felt like a hug

4.5 Stars!

May Gordon is a brand spanking new to me author (I've heard of her from the safe book groups!) and what a way to be introduced y'all. I looooooove this ARR Happily Ever Alpha World and whoa. May definitely made her footprint known in this world/series and got added to my fave list from the books so far.

Until Love was all the BOOM! goodness I've come to love and adore in these books. Packed with loads of heat, heart, spice, steam, suspense, and insta-love at its best. Robert and Rose were everything in a whole lot of ways and in all the moments they shared.

I am a huge fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds and now May Gordon has a new fan in me. I'll be sure to check out her *safe* backlist soon.

I highly recommend this book.

This is a standalone in the Happily Ever Alpha World brought to you by Aurora Rose Reynolds. The story has suspense, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Rose and Robert’s story. Rose is on the run with her child. She is in no way looking for a man. But Robert who is broken in his own way pulls her in. They are slowly healing each other. With the past she has she just knows it a matter of time before it catches up. Will they be ready for it when it does? Love is what they have for now but a future is what they will have if they can overcome the past and survive the danger it brings.

I highly recommend this story.

Until Love is a sweet romance immersed in the Happily Ever Alpha World. Two people who have scars, some on the outside and some on the inside. The boom between these two is electric and has their heart and souls lighting up. Robert is a man who has suffered so much pain and loss, however with just a touch, Rose and Posie sooth his damaged soul. Their story has drama, action and chaos to have you on the edge of your seat and holding your breath. It has sweet moments to match the steamy and sensual ones and is overflowing with emotion. A story that is about how love can be the answer.

Absolutely loved it!

I’ve read quite a few of May Gordon’s books but I think this one just might be my favorite yet!

The emotional side, the angst, the drama and suspense…and let’s not leave out the romance! I loved Robert and Rose’s story. Also, Posie — what a sweet little girl! She had my heart from the very beginning but when she had Robert save Princess, an abused and neglected dog, I was a goner! She was sassy and adorable, and she had a huge heart. She definitely added to the story.

All in all, a great read!! Definitely recommend.

This story was so sweet and romantic ❤️ Rose is on the run with her daughter Posie. They both meet Robert separately and he falls head over heels for Rose and her little girl. They both are what he needs after retiring from the military. Together they have to overcome a few obstacles bit get their HEA in the end. Sweet, romantic, safe and with action and tragedy, but a beautiful story nonetheless 😍😍😍😍

I absolutely enjoyed Robert and Rose's, and of course Posie, story. I can definitely feel the BOOM between them. There's an instant connection between them that felt natural, it wasn't forced. I loved how Posie played a role in them getting together. I loved Robert's relationship with Posie. This was just so heartwarming to read. And of course, there's a little bit of suspense in it too.

I loved it!

I really really wanted to like this book but the lack of editing is so incredibly distracting! I feel so bad leaving such a negative rating but even a second read through would have helped this book so much. Such a bummer - I loved the characters

This was a quick read. Robert has had a rough life. Things begin to look up for him when he meets Rose. They have a thing together. However, someone from her past is out to get her. Luckily in the end everything is taken care of and they get their happy ending.

Until Love by May Gordon is another great addition to the Happily Ever Alpha World. I always enjoy reading books within universes because you are able to see characters that you might have met briefly find their HEA and discover a new author at the same time.
Robert Kent didn't have it easy growing up until Nico Mayson rescued him from his horrible childhood. Robert was then placed with the best mom he could have asked for but unfortunately she died when he was a senior in high school. So Robert picked up and left to join the military, 14 years later he's back in Murfreesboro for the first time since she died he has even more baggage than he did before in the form of PTSD making reintegrating back into his old life hard. Just when he thinks he won't be able to get back to how he used to be he meets his boom, Rose and he suddenly finds that everything that had just been so unbearable was suddenly bearable.
Rose is on the run from her drug dealing older brother for many reason, the main on being that he wants to kill her and take her daughter Posie because when she ran from him years ago she stole his black book full of all his transactions. While living in Murfreesboro she knows she can't get too attached to anyone for fear of having to leave them. But when she meets Robert she knows that he can keep her and Posie safe and he treats Posie well enough that she knows he would treat her as if she was his own. But when it becomes evident that her brother has figured out where she an Posie are Rose must decide if she should trust what she and Robert have together and that he will keep them safe or will she run like she's always done before?

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Rose Bennet & Robert Kent. When this book opens we find Robert as a young boy just trying to make it day to day. His mother is passed out in her bed and for some reason she feels cold. That same night Robert meets Nico. Nico takes him to the doctor he gets him cleaned up gives him clean clothes as well as food for him to eat. Next he meets a wonderful woman who would later adopt him. After losing her he joins the military and when he comes back his ghosts are magnified larger then even the Mason family can help with. After running out of the lunch they hold for his welcome back he meets a little girl and he knows she is just started to heal him without even knowing it. Rose is on the run and will do anything to keep her daughter safe. When she meets Robert she isn't happy about it since he practically ran her off the road. The kiss he gave her is unlike anything she has experienced before. There is something about Robert that makes her feel safe though. Can these two find a HEA or will the ghosts of the past become the problems of the future?

Amazing story. These two draw you in on so many levels. There is so much I want to say about this book but don't want to ruin it for others. I will say I would highly recommend it to others.

Until Love is my third Happily Ever Alpha book, and I swear they keep getting better and better. This is the story of Robert, a man with a heartbreaking past, and Rose, a woman with a disastrous future. Together they balance each other. Between PTSD, and a dangerous drug lord, feeling the boom is even more special. Posie will win your heart as soon as you meet her on the page. She brings humor and spirit to the story. This trio is a joy to experience.

Until Love brings many of the Mayson family members into play, and it's just so much fun when both worlds intertwine. The characters of Robert, Rose, and Posie are well written. The dialogue was fast-paced and kept me engaged. The love scenes sizzle, and the drama running throughout the story comes to a very satisfying conclusion. The two epilogues will leave you with a happy, contented heart.

Another big Happily Ever Alpha win for Boom Factory Publishing. Kudos to May Gordon for an excellent story. I finished reading this book a few days ago, and it's stuck with me. I encourage everyone to grab this book and spend a few hours with Robert, Rose, and Posie. Two Thumbs Up, Five Stars, and a great big BOOM!

It was BOOM from the start for me in Until Love, if you have read Aurora Rose Reynolds 'Until' series you will know what I mean. May Gordon is a recently found author and once again she has pulled off a beautiful, enticing read. Robert and Rose's story was a privilege to be a part of, and you will feel part of it, add in the delightful young Posie and you are reading a story made in heaven.

Rose will do anything to Posie safe, and she feels she has found her safe place in this small town, she has made some great friends, (all from the Until Series) but when she meets Robert, who has just returned home after years in the army she finds herself drawn to this quite yet broken man, and as Posie has made him her best friend they paths are consistently crossing, it doesn't help that the chemistry between the pair could light the night sky. Robert never believed in the BOOM but he is starting to, one look at Rose and he knows something is happening, and the adorable Posie is just the icing on the cake.

A brilliant high-recommend read, and another hit for May Gordon.

Sometimes fate puts someone we need in our paths to help us find our way. That is what happened to Robert - twice. First when his mother died when he was a child, Nico saved him and brought him to his new homes. Second is when he returns home after serving his country in the marines. A little girl called Posie who is there for him when he needs someone. Equally, Rose and Posie need someone to protect them after being on the run from danger and feel at home.

Rose is definitely feisty and doesn't immediately fall at his feet - she stands up for herself and gives as good as she gets. Robert feels that he doesn't deserve happiness or love but a special girl called Posie sees him start to open his heart, his home and has him doing things he wouldn't usually do.

This book brought all the feels for me. I found myself completely immersed in Robert and Rose's story. I found Robert's struggles to adapt back in the civilian life emotive and it is this that made this book so special. Rose's troubles added something and provided an opportunity for Robert to prove something to himself. For me, one of my favourites of the HEA world series.

I love the Until Series, but this book just didn't hit me the way the others did.

Robert is back home after serving time in the military. He has had a very hard life, his mom was horrible to him and he was adopted by a nice woman when he was 8 years old. When she died, he went into the military and never looked back. Now, that his time is up, he is back home more scarred then ever.

Rose has moved around a lot with her daughter trying to stay safe. She is a school teacher that just wants the best for her daughter. When Robert and Rose met, it is not the perfect first encounter. They almost get into a car accident, and then Robert kisses her because he has too. These two are destined for each other. Rose helps Robert with his PTSD and Robert makes Rose feel safe.

Why the 3 stars? I just didn't connect with these characters. They are both great characters just didn't connect with them. Usually I read through these Until books really fast because I cannot put it down, but I could easily put this one down. I feel like if the book was longer, it would have been better.

Oh my, this was such a quick read. I couldn’t stop once I started. A definite awesome addition to the BOOM World.

My heart broke for poor Robert when I started this book and it didn’t stop. He had a terrible childhood until he was saved by Nico Mayson (my man, lol) From then his life just got better. Until he joined the army and things didn’t end well. Now that his home, he cant seem to get out of the PTSD. Until the day he runs Rose off the road 😊 Immediately it felt like his soul and mind was at peace.

Everything about this story was so good. I loved it. When I met Posie she was just the an old soul for such a young child. And Rose she knew when she met Robert that there was something about him that called out to her 😊 Some sadness, heartache, romance, suspense and lots of action. And we get to see my fav couple Nico and Sophie 😊 This was a plus for me 😉❤❤

Until Love is a short(ish) read that packs a big punch, so it's a perfect addition to this world. Robert has gone through a lot in his life, and yet, he still signed up to serve his country, but after getting home, he has serious PTSD. Rose & her daughter Posie have moved to town trying to fly under the radar for safety since they're on the lam. Posie is a tiny human with an old soul, and it's she who bonds with Robert first which was super sweet. I'm not saying Rose didn't help as well but Posie was doing her very best to steal the whole show LOL! They're getting closer as both of these girls give him peace, but Rose has danger stalking her which gave me the suspense that had my heart racing. Until Love is filled with angst for days, some drama, suspense with a big side of danger, and a fantastic supporting cast of characters. To see how it will all pan out, you know what to do as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Until Love by May Gordon is part of the Happily Ever Alpha World Series but can be a standalone book if you wish to do so. This is the story of Robert and Rose. Robert had a really bad childhood but was saved by Nico Mayson. When he became of age he decided to join the military but now in his present day he has been medically discharged from the military and suffers from PTSD. Now he is working in construction and working to reconnect with the family that raised him. Then he meets Rose and her daughter Posie and feels and intimidate connection along with feeling calmer with them. Rose is new to town and his a school teacher who is on the run and landed in town thinking that this might be her safe place for a while. Rose too feels drawn to Robert but can their past allow for a future for them? Loved this book and totally in love with this series!

Until Love is May Gordon’s contribution to ARR’s Happily Ever Alpha World.

Robert’s life was horrible until the Maysons found him. Life was good until it wasn’t and he left to join the military. After being medically discharged, Robert is left floundering until he meets an adorable girl named Posie. And in turn meets her mother….BOOM!

Rose and her daughter have been on the run for two years. Finally finding a place to call home has been a godsend. When a handsome stranger runs her off the road, Rose is left speechless. When she finds out who her daughter’s friend is….BOOM!

I absolutely loved the connection Robert and Posie have together. It was instant and exactly what they both needed. Robert and Rose are just perfect together. And I always love Mayson cameos.

This story is sweet, emotional, a little bit suspenseful, steamy, and everything you’d want in an “Until” story.

Love is all around

Boom! I love this concept/trope/story type, & am so happy ARR's world has expanded every time I read another offering! The authors really work to understand the world she created & give us excellent characters & stories!

Robert & Rose fit in this world perfectly! I love the depiction of Robert's PTSD & the way Posie unexpectedly helps first. Then the meet-cute with Rose!! I giggled, I swooned, and I felt their BOOM!

The suspense is done well, & I highly enjoyed the story overall! Plus, there's a pupper with a unique name and fabulous personality!!

😍

(Note: the version I read thru KU did have some editing issues that may be because an early file was uploaded. If you notice these errors, please be kind! And don't let them distract from the story, because it's a great story!!)

Robert has just recently left the military. He is fighting a lot of demons and doesn’t know how to fix it. He is working construction and is being reunited with the family he was raised with. Rose is a single mother of a precious daughter and is newer to town. She is a fifth grade teacher and has a few secrets of her own. Robert and Rose literally hit it off when they met and have instant amazing chemistry with a deep connection. I was Impressed on how much she truly understood him so quickly. He seamed to have a instant bond with her daughter, it was very sweet. I really enjoyed this quick read. The characters were well developed and the story was very detailed and layered. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Robert has endured a difficult past and has returned to his hometown as he tries to adjust to civilian life now that his military career has come to an end. He is still having trouble dealing with the aftereffects of everything that transpired until a precocious little girl and her mother come in his life and give him hope for the future.

Rose has created a new life for her, and her daughter Posie in Tennessee and her primary concern is keeping her safe. When her daughter meets Robert, it is love at first sight and it isn’t long before she feels the same way but the past she barely escaped is about to return with a vengeance.

Robert and Rose are exactly what the other needs in their lives as they help each other heal so that they can have the life they both deserve.

I have never read this author before but did because I love ARR and the HEA World. Let me just say that if May Gordon’s book are all as good as this one then count me in as a devoted reader!

I honestly could read about Robert and Rose endlessly. I was 100% sucked into each other stories individually and just as much as their story as a couple.

Rose and her daughter have been running from their past. Poise is such an amazing young girl who just pulls at your heart. It took one moment for both Rose and Posie to capture Robert’s heart. They are the calm to his storm and give him peace unlike anything he could have imagined.

I was on the ride with these characters and would devour anything else I could read of them if it was an option. Perfect writing!

This is another wonderful addition to this epic series, and this is Robert and Rose’s journey. Both characters are broken souls. and when Rose is on the run with a small child, and she is not looking for any relationships, she cross’ paths with Robert. These two are kindred spirits and drawn to each other and the chemistry between them is undeniable, and while they heal each other, can they overcome their pasts? This is a well written emotional roller coaster, which is sweet, and filled with drama, heartbreak, secrets, suspense, danger, survival, loss, healing, action, and love. I was totally hooked and intrigued throughout this riveting page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

One Of The Best Booms

Fantastic story!
One of the best BOOMS I’ve read.
Robert & Rose’s journey is just beautiful. Robert’s story is heartbreaking, from his awful start in life, until Nico found him, to his traumatic career fighting for his country that left him broken. Then he meets Rose and Posie. They are a magic balm that helps him heal and love. Rose has a criminal brother she is running from but of course the bad guys catch up with her. Although, never bet against the power of the Boom and the Mayson family. Robert is deadly when his girls are messed with. This story is full of lots of ups and downs and will keep you reading until you finish it in mere hours. Don’t pick this book up until you have time to spare as you won’t be able to put it down.

I have always loved ARR and Boom Factory. I have found a lot of authors through her and the Happily Ever Alpha World. This story had potential, a lot of sweet potential. I really liked Robert and Rose, her daughter Posey was a gem. I loved the plot point of Robert returning home after a career in the military and the PTSD that has resulted from it. He finds peace every time he is around Rose and her daughter. Unfortunately, this read like the first draft. There didn't appear to be any editorial intervention or proofreading. Wrong word usage, typos, etc. that I found jarring and took me out of the story. The resolution of Rose's problem seemed overblown and yet at the same time very easily resolved. I wanted to love Until Love but I have to give it 3 stars.
