If you have a weakness for cowboys, love steamy romance and enjoy fast paced stories, this anthology is a delightful no-brainer. One thing I particularly enjoyed about this book was that even though it is cowboy themed, there's actually a satisfying amount of variety here. So that means you have options. In the mood for all the hot cowboy's you can get your hands on? Feel free to dive in and read through without fear of suffering that burn out feeling because it seems like you are reading the same thing again and again. Just looking for something you can have on hand for a palate cleanser or a tasty little lunchtime treat? Have this book on hand to but out just for these occasions without having to invest a huge chunk of your time. On top of that, I feel anthologies are a value packed option that gives you a comfy safety net for trying out new authors. Overall, I felt this was a very enjoyable read. The stories are entertaining, the characters likable and the feels, emotions and swoon ample. The add in elements of drama, humor, action, heart, excitement and a slew of different tropes and I think there is really something here for every romance lover. I have to say that my favorite of the bunch was definitely Elle James' Free Reign. Devin and Mallory are going to really tug on your heartstrings as their second chance story unfolds. These characters were easy to care about, sympathize with and root for. This is my unbiased, unsolicited review.

This anthology of short stories gave me a chance to visit with authors I have come to love, and introduced me to some new ones. These were two of my favorite stories. FREE REIN by Elle James Mallory Watts has always loved Devin Layne. He left to serve his country and when he got injured in a mission overseas he was sent to Walter Reed. He refused to see anyone and she returned heartbroken. Meanwhile, Devin, a medically discharged former Delta Force member, still loves her, but feels less than a man worthy of her. Will they get a second chance and find their HEA? SECOND CHANCES by Megan Ryder Jessie McAdams, a widow, can barely hold on to her husband’s ranch. Slade Donovan, the man that has loved her for years but is afraid to express his feelings, wants to help her. Will these two find love ? All in all , these are entertaining stories that are perfect when you don’t have time for a full length book. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Definitely bang for your buck. Lots of stories in this Cowboy anthology, quick reads that reach out and grab you. Ranches, Rodeos, Widows, City Girls, Suspense, SyFy - Cowboys in every genre. A great read with something for everyone. Ex militrary and suspense are always my favorites, but this anthology had a lot more to offer. I have to admit that when I read Elle's Free Rein I was back in Arizona seeing my first rodeo so many,many years ago. The icing was having the wounded warrior getting asked to be part of the Brotherhood Protectors, with a woman feisty enough to call him on his BS. Great quick read. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.
