Deradicalization programs are an abysmal failure everywhere they have been implemented. From the Jihad Watch archives:

France’s only jihadi “deradicalization” center is closing — it was voluntary, and it was empty
The whole premise of “deradicalization” is that Islam is a religion of peace that jihadis misunderstand, twist, and hijack. Since that is a false premise, and warfare against unbelievers is actually taught in the Qur’an and Sunnah, “deradicalization” focuses on other issues, such as “anger issues” that the jihadi may have, his feelings of “alienation,” and the like.
But since none of that changes what the Qur’an and Sunnah say about warfare against unbelievers, it doesn’t “deradicalize” the jihadi at all. A British psychologist behind a “deradicalization” scheme has also admitted that there’s no guarantee that jihadis can ever be “cured.” And Jonathan Hall QC, the UK’s independent reviewer of terrorism legislation, said there was “no magic bullet or special pill” that could help to change convicted extremists.
“Sir David Amess stab death suspect ‘attended official anti-terror programme,'” by William Walker, Mirror, October 18, 2021:
The man suspected of killing Sir David Amess attended an official course aimed at ‘de-radicalising’ him, according to reports.
Suspected lone-wolf terrorist Ali Harbi Ali is thought to have become radicalised online recently.
The 25-year-old is said to have previously been referred to an anti-extremism programme called Prevent, which aims to stop people from going on to become terrorists.
Detectives are probing whether he may have been inspired by al-Shabaab, an offshoot of al-Qaeda in Somalia and Kenya.
Ali’s father Harbi Ali Kullane, 61, a former communications advisor to the Prime Minister of Somalia, confirmed his son was in police custody.
Speaking at his sister’s home in North London, Mr Kullane said that counter-terrorism police from Scotland Yard had visited him.
The Daily Mail reports that the suspect had been referred to the Prevent programme over radicalisation fears by a ‘concerned member of the community.’
The referral was said to have led to him taking part in the course several years ago.
Despite this he was not said to have been investigated as a potential terror threat by officers.
Priti Patel has gone on to say that a review of Prevent would look at whether it was ‘fit for purpose’.
She said: “It’s right that we review what works, what doesn’t work, what needs bolstering if there are any gaps, all of that, because Prevent isn’t just about policing.
“Prevent is about how multi-agency partners come together.”…

A mozlum cannot remain mozlum and not believe that he has a “right” to murder other people.
A person must wish to be different, to think differently, to change his behavior and attitude. If one approaches another and asks for help, there is a chance a change can be made.
These future terrorists don’t want to change. They enjoy the idea of being better than other humans, whom they consider as less than human to one degree or another, and they look for every opportunity to carry out their mission to kill and make their fake prophet and false god happy so they can get that coveted spot right next to the dead piece of maggot filth they all worship and have drunken orgies for the rest of forever.
These programs are like lighting a candle in the middle of a hurricane at level 5 intensity and have the same chance of success as a match in a level 6…which has not yet been recorded by science. They don’t work, will never work, and are a huge waste of time and money.
But, the “experts,” won’t ever believe they are wrong. It would cost them…applause; and esp… money.

+1
Spot on.
It appears that all “deradicalization” programs do is enlighten fence-sitting slaves of Allah as to why they should become “radicals”.

Sometimes people change, like Mosab Hassan Yousef , who is the son of one of the 7 founders of Hamas,Sheikh Hassan Yousef.
He worked for Israel to prevent the deaths of innocent civilians there,he was their No. 1 agent inside Hamas, called the “Green Prince”.
It is believed he helped save HUNDREDS of lives. It appears in his autobiography “Son of Hamas”,and he was a spy for Israel from 1996-2006.
And none of his actions were done for money.
And he even became a Christian.
It appears in his book “Son of Hamas: A Gripping Account of Terror, Betrayal, Political Intrigue, and Unthinkable Choices”(2011)
In addition to providing warning of imminent suicide attacks,
he also helped Israel arrest many high-level Palestinian suspects during the second Palestinian uprising or Intifada.
They included Ibrahim Hamid, a senior Hamas commander, Marwan Barghouti, the popular leader of the Fatah party, and Abdullah Barghouti, one of Hamas’s most prolific bomb makers. All are now serving multiple life sentences
All the same it is still over.

In my comment above, to which you made reply, I wrote:
“A person must wish to be different, to think differently, to change his behavior and attitude.”
For those people, even those in islam, it is possible, and a really great thing when they do so. There are evidently many such people, some no one knows even exist. But,all of them **want** to get out.

A person has to want to change to leave Islam. No one else can dio it for them.

A (for assasin)
B (for bomber)
C (for cutthroat)
D (for demented)
F (for false hope)

in ISLAM the way to paradise is opened with the sword, ISLAM promises virgins in Heaven which in practical terms was provided to jihadists through raping captured women for which Mahomed himself gives his blessing. Mohamed had murdered his critics, opponents and disbelievers and he is the perfect example.

Those in the “field” might be helped by this comparison, if they really wish to make a difference in what they say and do regarding mozlums.
Compare mozlums to high school band members.
1. kid doesn’t want to be in the band, but parents wish it, pressure him and buy the instrument. kid learns the basics, but never plays afterward
2. kid wants to go, parent buys instrument, kid learns more than the basics, but finds it’s a lot of work, so just listens from that point on.
3. kid is enthusiastic about going, parent buys the instrument and he learns fast, puts his heart into it, but never achieves the applause. He becomes a “teacher” of other high school students who take band.
4. kid is enthusiastic, buys his own instrument, practices all of the time, and later starts his own band or joins an orchestra. Really good at playing music and receives a lot of applause and recognition.
mozlums;
1. hates it, looks for way out while hiding his intent
2. likes hearing what he is supposed to do…killing, raping, etc., but doesn’t want the risks that come, so he attends the barracks, fasts (pretending as they all do) and lies about islam, while beating his wife, and selling his daughters
3. really likes what he hears and likes the idea of preaching it to others, so he gets job as cleric of some kind, encouraging the “kids’ to follow through from his safety of the barracks. salivates at the idea his “pupils” are out there committing themselves.
4. really, really likes what he hears from number 3 and feels so good about it, he lusts for his chance…maybe starts his own cell or terror group as bin laden, and other very devout mozlums have done. Murders as many as he can before being caught, and he knows the mozlum world is applauding him. His name will go down in history as a follower of the mass-murdering, raper, liar, son of satan, fake prophet.

Those violent vicious killer who are the jihadist/Muslim are so totally indoctrinated into hard core Islamic terrorist’s mind-set because they have been completely brainwashed in non- watered down Qur’an based Islamic terrorism thought. Surah 2:191. 4:89. 5:33. 9:5, 111,112, 123.47:4. Sad and tragic yes but true.
Therefore not “deradicalization program” will be able to help them or straighten them out
As the ancient Greek playwright wrote “Even the wisest of the wise can never name a crab walk straight.”
Likewise, the philosopher Immanuel Kant also wrote “Out of the crooked timber of humanity no straight thing can ever be made.”

What’s not being mentioned in the lying MSM is that Ali was watching Osman Choudrey and his cult of belief. We have all woke up to the evils of islam and the powers that be do not want to even look at this ‘hot potato’ If it’s too hot to handle then let the brave men, women and children who do know the way this evil is going to handle it. Take off the kid gloves and put on the iron gloves. Islam is like the cancer that starts in your body, small at first but unless dealt with will kill you. Great posts by one and all.
