The last thing Melissa needed in her life was another man telling her what to do.
However, Dane Clayton, her loan officer and resident pain in the ass, is standing in the way of her owning the coffee shop of her dreams.

Much to Melissa's dismay, sparks fly every time they see each other, leaving her wondering if being attracted to the one man that gets under skin is more trouble than what it's worth.

The moment Dane laid eyes on Melissa Reid, he knew she was meant to be his.
Too bad for him, she hates his guts.

But his desire to claim her as his own becomes harder to resist every day.
When Melissa shows up in his office needing his help, Dane decides now is his chance to make her his own.

Using any means necessary.

What began as a game of cat and mouse quickly turns into more than either of them expected. But when someone objects to Dane's decisions, will their passion be extinguished before it even gets started?

Until Melissa is part of the Aurora Rose Reynolds's Happily Ever Alpha World. If you loved Until June, then you will want to read Until Melissa..

My Review is very short because this read was not for me, coming from someone who has read and re-read ARR's books over 50 times now this did not fit well for me in the world, probably because this author is new to me and I am not used to their writing but just felt off. Sorry and best of luck to the author.

Dane + Melissa

Much like the Until series Dane takes one look at Melissa and knows everything he’s been working towards in life has been in preparation for meeting her. He slices his foot in his mouth at his first meeting but he is bound and determined to win her over.

Melissa is a planner. Like over the top, plan down to the minute and doesn’t want to stray from her plan. There were times where I wanted to shake her to get her to see what a great guy Dane was but in the end she figured it out.

Great read!

Another "Boom/HEA" book that fell flat for me. I suppose it was because nothing really happens. It was boring.

Basically, Melissa and Dane meet through the Masons. He tries to hit on her, she rudely rebuffs him (and then says he has no manners), they meet again months later when she wants to open a coffee shop in Tennessee and he pursues her while she puts her past relationship problems on him. They become bed buddies and when he wants more and she doesn't, he waits it out until every person in the world talks Melissa into going back to him and she does. The end.

Nothing really happens. There was a brief shooting scene with a disgruntled client at the end, but it was so quick and nonsensical that there was no need for it. That's the most exciting thing to happen through this whole book.

Melissa spends the entire time whining about her one relationship that ended forrrrever ago and putting all that on Dane. It was annoying and immature. Grow up already.

As for Dane - nothing wrong with him, good guy, hardworking and a good friend, but geez, grow a backbone already. He took too much of Melissa's b.s. Dude, if this is how your relationship begins, it's only going to get worse. I would've just washed my hands of her and moved on.

Altogether, another disappointment from the Boom Factory.

Melissa was so ugh. The same thing was repeated throughout the book. Dane I like until the end, but seriously...... Everybody can't do it like Aurora. Don't mention the entire family when writing your book.

Ugh. It was so-so. 2.5 stars? I loved Dane but Melissa was monotonous and frustrating. Toward the end… I was almost rooting for Dane to find someone else. Plus all of the talking to herself out loud… 🙄 I don’t know. The boom was there for Dane but otherwise kind of didn’t feel like it fit into the world.

As soon as he lays eyes on Melissa, Dane is all in. She has serious issues, though, with trusting - others, and herself. So Dane has his work cut out for him getting her to accept how he feels about her, getting her to accept her own feelings. Will she ever let go of her fears, let herself trust, let herself love?

Like all the Happily Ever Alpha stories I've read, and the series they're based on, this is an insta-love romance, done well with some sweetness, some heat, and definite heart. Dane is quite the alpha, but with a soft heart, and one who's head over heels in love with someone that's making him work. What's not to love about an alpha falling hard and working himself into a frenzy over it?

Melissa is organized, she likes her lists, she likes her plans and doesn’t like to deviate away from them. When she meets Dane, he doesn’t have a part in her five year plan, yet she can’t seem to avoid the man.

Dane is instantly smitten with Melissa. The moment he meets her, he knows there is something different about her. He is drawn to her and is determined to get to know more about her. Melissa is also drawn to Dane, but is a little more hesitant at the start.

There is a ton of chemistry between these two characters and I couldn’t get enough of them. Once Melissa stops fitting everything it is full steam ahead, minus a little drama to shake things up. The two epilogues were perfect and such a great way to wrap up everything with this story!

If you’re looking for a small town, insta love romance this is one to read!

I can never get enough of this Happily Ever Alpha World. Every story is unique and just makes me fall in love with romance.

Melissa and Dane’s story was the same. They made me fall in love with them from the start. Melissa was the organized one and knew exactly what she wanted and how she was going to get it, hence all her lists. But Dane was not part of her plan. So what now? Dane was infatuated with Melissa since the first moment the met… BOOM!!! 😊 And when she comes to see him needing his help, he will do whatever to help her no matter what.

Fun, sexy insta-love romance, adding in some drama to keep you hooked 😊 Something I think we all need to read now and again, lol… Even though Melissa had some major trust issues, Dane was patient and understanding and did anything he could to get her over it. Their chemistry was HOT and definitely had me captured from the start.

Until Melissa has a chemistry between the characters that ignites almost immediately. Melissa and Dane’s story immerses itself into the Happily Ever Alpha World seamlessly. Their story has plenty of witty banter, sass and drama. The push and pull between these two has you drawn to the story and captivated by each and every word. A sweet romance with enough heat to set you on fire. Dane and Melissa give us the boom we crave from this series and the HEA that they both deserve.

Wow, this was an interesting story. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved Melissa and Dane together, they are hot and heavy from beginning. But Melissa has trust issues. Dane is patient and understanding. They have such a great chemistry.

I highly recommend this book.

Dane and Melissa's story was such fun to read. Dane knows what he wants and he is determined to get it. Melissa is a planner and Dane isn't part of that plan. But she is having a hard time steering clear of him. and the pull she feels toward him.

A quick, fun, sexy insta-love romance. Is there anything better than that? This is a great addition to the, "Happily Ever Alpha World". 5 easy stars

I enjoyed this new addition to the series. Melissa and Dane's story was quite sweet. I did want Melissa to be a bit less stubborn about her plans and just let herself be with Dane. So that was a bit frustrating. But still, I enjoyed their story.

This newest addition to the Happily Ever Alpha World give us those moments that we want. The boom, the steamy moments, but I didn't love Melissa. I really enjoyed this story overall, but Melissa's hang-ups from an old relationship and her reasoning behind some of her reservations were hard to get over. From the moment that Dane makes that first step to make her his, he never wavers and I was a little frustrated that Melissa didn't trust herself with him. There were moments that she gives is, but self-doubts hold her back. I enjoyed this story overall. It fits right in with the alpha tendencies the Maysen family and it's counterparts have. This is a good book and an enjoyable read.

Honestly, If I met Melissa in real life, I’d punch her in the face. She wasn’t likeable at all. Her actions screamed ‘best friend who secretly hates you and sleeps with your husband’. Like I genuinely got the feeling that if June and Evan ever fought, she’d take Evans side. I knew I had to put it down when I started hoping that Dane would find someone else.
As for that scene where Wes picks her up to hug her… that was quite literally the most unrealistic thing he could’ve done. He wouldn’t pick June, December, April or May up and hug them like that, so I doubt he’s gonna hug junes college friend that way.

I just couldn’t stand Melissa. I wanted to like this story but she just got in my nerves and I really wanted Dane to leave and let that smack her in the face to finally open her eyes… sheesh… also another thing that kept getting on my nerves… her repeating how nobody other than her family treated her this way or that way… and her stupid plan… and about military life… it made no sense how she hated the moving but yet she left her family to MOVE…

One word: DANE!!!

While the last thing that Melissa needed in her life was man telling her what to do, unfortunately for her, fate had forgotten to consult her before it put Dane Clayton in front of her at Asher and November Mayson’s family party!!!!

Welcome to UNTIL MELISSA, Author AJ Alexander’s contribution to Aurora Rose Reynold’s HAPPILY EVER ALPHA world, and her hero, Dane Clayton fitted the mold perfectly. AJ’s special brand of steamy insta-love has slotted straight into seamlessly.

She nailed Dane’s alpha personality perfectly, which absolutely irked Melissa’s independent personality, and tossed her plans into disarray, even firmly putting her experience with a narcissistic cheating ex in the past. Every belief she’d held was firmly tested, but noooo, she didn’t let go easily. She did have her reasons, and I loved the inclusion of Melissa’s sister Bristol’s story, ANCHOR, from Ms Alexander’s SEASIDE LOVE series that is a favourite of mine. Her story occurred concurrently with this one, and their resolution aided in Melissa’s decision making. Just so, but at that point, I didn’t know whether circumstances had changed the outcome!!!!

Dane was absolutely gorgeous, and most certainly didn’t view Melissa as a weak-tempered woman needing to be rescued and coddled. Far from it. He admired the strong beauty who’d floored him from that first glance. He wanted her, and in spite of her words, her body spoke otherwise and was backed up by affirmations from her friends, June and July. His brand of ‘forward and active romancing’ was on point, and while he knew she could stand up for herself, he believed a man protected his woman because he ‘wanted to’ not because she needed it. He helped her in her business goal to encourage and back her up, not to control the outcome. All of that right there is the epitome of an alpha and he fitted in perfectly with the UNTIL HIM/HER characters created by Ms Reynolds. Did I say he was gorgeous and hot? 🔥🔥🔥

And if there’s another thing that AJ Alexander has achieved, it’s for me to be more than a little interested in Aurora Rose Reynold’s original characters who play a major part in matchmaking and actively guiding Dane and Melissa’s path towards each other. Turns out I’d one-clicked Asher and November’s story back in the day and have read it!!! Who knew???

If you’ve read my reviews before, you’ll know I’m boring and consistent in my love for anything written by Author AJ Alexander, so of course it’s going to be 5-Star instant-in-love with the book. If she’s a new-to-you author, this one is a little longer than most of her special brand of insta-love novellas, but if they’re your bag, then hit them any time you need to get in a quick lift in your reading life. Seriously.

I have been reading the Happily Ever Alpha World Series for a while now and have throughly enjoyed reading within it, and I think Until Melissa by A.J. Alexander might be one of my favorite ones yet. A.J. wrote a wonderful story that I couldn't stop reading, that I was dying to see how it ended and it made me want to find the book for the lead's sister (I already have it on my kindle waiting for me to read it).
Melissa Reid doesn't trust men after her ex-boyfriend just used her as someone to show off to his family while cheating on her behind her back. Since then Melissa has stuck to her rigid life plans, so while her friend June inviting her to move Murfreesboro to open a coffee shop in the perfect location she can't help but take that leap of faith with the encouragement of her friends and family. When she is first introduced to Dane Clayton she only sees a rude man who isn't going to fit into her life plan in any way and she doesn't want to risk getting hurt again.
Dane Clayton only wanted to renovate his new house and be left alone. But when his neighbor bribes him into coming to a barbecue with the promise of helping with the house he can't resist the offer. As soon as he arrives at the party he sees her, Melissa, and he knows she's it for him... He just needs to convince her to take the chance on him, despite how rude he was. Can Dane convince Melissa to take a chance on him?

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Melissa Reid & Dane Clayton. When this book opens we find Dane has come to Asher & November's house because he can't find an excuse to give Wes about why he can't come. He has no plans to stay long that is until he looks across the yard and see a woman who steals his breath. Their first meeting doesn't go so well for Dane so when he sees her again and she doesn't remember him he thinks he finally has his chance to win his boom. Melissa is done with men when she finds out he last long term boyfriend cheated on her she pulls up her big girl pants and moves closer to her best friend. Since June won't let her say no anyway. She ha goals and plans now and no man is going to get in her way. If only she could stop thinking about Dane. Will these two get a HEA or will the pain from the past make a future impossible?

Amazing story. These two show you an emotional side that you won't want to let go of. I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

Another good story for the HEA world! Dane is all alpha male trying to take over and smooth Melissa's way for her goals, while in true female fashion, Melissa doesn't want that help. For Dane the sparks exploded at first sight, so when he gets a second chance at seeing her, he doesn't waste a second and takes the opportunity to make her his. But Melissa has been burned before and right now is not the time to get into a relationship, she has goals that she wants to achieve and Dane will only distract her. So, she thinks up the perfect plan, a friend’s with benefits situation that will "benefit" they both. Dane is just happy that she is agreeing to be with him, until he realizes that Melissa is no closer to being his then when he first started. Will he be able to get Melissa to understand that his feelings are genuine and this is not a game? This was a good read filled with ok naughty bits, some really good drama, and that bit of danger that just completes the story. I give this 4 stars.

2.5⭐Dane & Melissa: Trigger: gun violence. This book irritated me so much. I'll say it again… using the characters from the original series does not automatically make the book connect to them. I didn't find Dane to be much of an alpha, just really assertive. Melissa, I have to say I did not like her at all. She was so stubborn and unwilling to bend. I also didn't like her reasoning behind it. Especially being an army brat myself, I've never felt that moving so much would make me want to avoid love and living in a military town; I can say the same for all my friends and family who are very happily married or seeking love. So I found this unrelatable. Despite that, Dane and Melissa were a couple of scorchers in the bedroom, my face is still on fire. The element of danger felt like a last minute decision and while I understand the reasoning, it left no mystery throughout the book whatsoever. Just the boring back and forth of Melissa strengthening her walls. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I can’t say enough about ARR’s Happily Ever Alpha World. Each book is unique and brings that much more to the series. AJ Alexander’s book fits right in.

Trusting men is hard for Melissa after her ex-boyfriend did her dirty. All she wants now is to follow her dream and open up her own coffee shop. When the perfect location becomes available, Melissa’s bff convinces her to move to town. She has a plan and nothing or no one will deviate her from it.

The minute Dane sees Melissa at a friend’s party he’s captivated. Unfortunately he also puts his foot in his mouth. Can he convince her to take a chance or will Melissa’s hesitations keep them apart?

This was such a great story. Melissa and Dane have so much chemistry. I love how Dane is all in right away and is determined to make Melissa his. Of course there’s a little drama to keep things interesting. Another BOOMtastic romance!

This is a wonderful addition to this impressive series, and this is Dane and Melissa’s story. Melissa is a planner with her lists, and she hares to deviate from them, and her list does not allow for Dane. Dane is a loan officer who has been infatuated since first meeting, and the spark fly between them. When Melissa goes to see Dane about her dream of owing her own coffee shop, he knows he will help her no matter what. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable. This is a well written flawless story which is filled with fun, humor, witty banter, passion, trust, and love, which all leads to an addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Melissa has always dreamed of owing a coffee shop so when the perfect location is available her best friend convinces her to move to town. If she is going to reach her goals, she can’t afford to be distracted by anyone or anything and that includes Dane.

Dane was enchanted by Melissa from their first meeting and with everything he does or says he tries to convince her that he will help her reach her dreams rather than stop her from reaching them, but will he be able to convince her?

Due to her past Melissa is cautious when it comes to romance, but Dane is swoony as he shows her that love is the best thing that can ever happen and not a complication to be avoided.

This is a standalone in the Happily Ever Alpha World brought to you by Aurora Rose Reynolds. The story has danger, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Melissa and Dane’s story. Melissa and Dane meet, and the sparks fly but she forgets him as soon as she leaves. The next time the meet more sparks but this time he is determined to get her to notice him. He wants her and knows she is the one for him now he just has to convince her. The banter back and forth for a while until she falls for him. But danger has a way of ruining somethings. Will it ruin what they have or finally bring them fully together?

I recommend this story.

The addicting Happily Ever Alpha World is back with a brand new release and y'all, AJ Alexander is the next author up. This time around we relate back to Until June, one of my favorites in the Until Her series and whoa. This beauty was packed with all the heart, heat, and feels.

Until Melissa gives us Melissa and Dane's story and y'all, your heart might not be ready for this one. These two lit up my kindle from the moment they met and all that chemistry.. fantastic banter and touches of suspense to keep you on your toes.

This world is amazing and the best way to meet new to me authors like AJ.

I totally recommend this book.

Melissa and Dane are fire together. We get to see lots of old faces that had me missing the Maysons even more and I love that it's also a crossover from the author's Dixie Point series.

I read this in one sitting because it has that undeniable pull and connection you can't get anywhere else. The story and some of the events did seem familiar to me and like I’ve read it before but could just be because I have read similar stories.

The chemistry is great and the story flows well. It was a great addition to the Happily Ever Alpha world.

Dane is a lovestruck man the moment he meets Melissa. Unfortunately for him that moment did go over well. Months pass and Melissa is now permanently living in TN. They meet again and fortunately for him she doesn’t remember meeting him the first time.

This moment is instant chemistry for both and Dane is determined to do this right. He knows what he wants. Melissa, a white picket fence, the whole shebang. He just needs to convince Melissa to trust what she feels and that he can fit in to her plan.

This book meets ARR’s HEA vibe perfectly and is a great addition to this world!

Dane and Melissa.controlled love

Melissa is persuaded to move to Tennessee by her mom, suis and best friend June. Dane meets her and immediately smitten by Melissa but she shut him down.. Next time they meet she is smitten but doesn't remember meeting Dane. Their connection becomes a bit of s struggle since she is constantly trying to control everything and he doesn't want to scare her away but doesn't know what her reservations are. She gets her coffee shop but can she get her love also?

Melissa has a plan, and she’s determined to stick with it. No detouring from it, at all. But then Dane comes into her life and questions her plan. Melissa begins to wonder if detouring is ok, and if it’s ok to trust Dane. This was a good book! It ties into AJ’s other books (though it took me a minute to realize that, but that was my fault). I really enjoyed this story in the fact that it is an alpha male story, but Dane is more sensitive than other Alphas I read in the past. Overall I recommend this story!
