As I explain in my book The Complete Infidel’s Guide to Iran, the concept of taqiyya was formulated during the time of the sixth Imam, Jafar al-Sadiq, in middle of the eighth century, when the Shi’ites were being persecuted by the Sunni caliph al-Mansur. Taqiyya allowed Shi’ites to pretend to be Sunnis in order to protect themselves from Sunnis who were killing Shi’ites. Until the conversion of Persia to Shi’ism, taqiyya was an important element of Shi’ite survival, for Sunnis, in the majority almost everywhere, would not infrequently take it upon themselves to cleanse the land of those whom they referred to as Rafidites, that is, rejecters — those who rejected the caliphates of Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman.
The great Islamic scholar Ignaz Goldziher points out that while it was formulated by Shi’ites, “it is accepted as legitimate by other Muslims as well, on the authority of Qur’an 3:28.” Qur’an 3:28 warns believers not to take unbelievers as “friends or helpers,” “unless that you but guard yourselves against them.” This is a foundation of the idea that believers may legitimately deceive unbelievers when under pressure. The word used for “guard” in the Arabic is tuqatan, the verbal noun from taqiyyatan — hence the increasingly familiar term taqiyya.
The Sunni commentator on the Qur’an Ibn Kathir says that the phrase “unless that you but guard yourselves against them” means that “believers who in some areas or times fear for their safety from the disbelievers” may “show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly. For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda’ said, ‘We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them.’ Al-Bukhari said that Al-Hasan said, ‘The Tuqyah [taqiyya] is allowed until the Day of Resurrection.” Abu Ad-Darda’ was a companion of Muhammad.
Also, there is Muhammad’s statement, “war is deceit.” He also allowed for lying in battle and between a husband and wife. And when he gave permission to one of his followers, Muhammad bin Maslama, to murder one of his critics, Ka’b bin al-Ashraf, he also gave Muhammad bin Maslama permission to lie to Ka’b in order to lure him close enough to be killed. All this matters because Muhammad is the “excellent example of conduct” for Muslims (Qur’an 33:21).
“‘These people deserve death, but we are not in a position of strength’: Proceedings against the Mosque of Allonnes (72), information evokes a policy of ‘Taqîya’ (Update),” translated from “« Ces gens méritent la mort, mais nous ne sommes pas en position de force » : Procédure contre la Mosquée d’Allonnes (72), les renseignements évoquent une politique de la « Taqîya » (MàJ),” Fdesouche, October 20, 2021 (thanks to Medforth):
Was the Mosque of Allonnes (Sarthe) the scene of real declarations of war against France and the Christians? According to information that Le Figaro was able to glean from French intelligence sources, speeches with a clear Islamist connotation have been going on there for several years. These sources describe particularly bellicose speeches. In some speeches, it would have been about the need to “humiliate the disbelieving enemies of Islam and Muslims” and “to give victory to Muslims.” Several remarks tending to legitimize armed jihad, hatred and discrimination against Jews, Christians or Westerners in general, have been made. Particularly as a result of deadly attacks by Islamist terrorists.
A few days after the assassination of Samuel Paty, the leaders of the mosque indeed congratulated themselves on the fate of the teacher, and would have seen in the person of Abdullakh Anzorov, his killer, a “martyr.” It is “imperative to strengthen oneself in the faith and prepare for the fight,” one of the people speaking in the enclosure of the mosque is said to have judged. Another member said that Samuel Paty’s assassination strengthened his resolve. Words that were encouraged in a prayer session. One of the active members of the mosque praised his meeting with Djamel B., a jihadist imprisoned for commitments close to terrorist circles. In the face of the publications of Charlie Hebdo, one of the associative imams Driss E.K. would have thus professed that “these people deserve death, but we are not in a position of strength.”
More worrying still, the sources evoke a policy of Taqiya, or concealment of one’s Islamist convictions under a veneer and respectful behavior. A practice which was openly encouraged by the leaders of the associations. The latter are said to have urged the imams to “meet the kouffars” (disbelievers) and show them a facade of support following the assassination of Samuel Paty.
The associations are also accused of spreading virulent anti-Semitism to younger people, and even hatred of homosexuals. Threatening statements were reportedly made in front of them. According to our information, several regulars attendees the mosque had already been questioned for acts of advocacy of terrorism.

If you have friends still playing the “Islamophobia” tape on a loop please gift/loan them one of Spencer’s “Complete Infidel’s Guide” books — or any other one — or Jamie Glazov’s “Jihadist Psychopath”, unique in its emphasis on the psychological maneuvers used by apologists for Islam to grease the wheels of their taqiyya. (Glazov insisted on devoting the whole of chapter 2 to the schemes of “the Father of Lies” so non-Christians may need to be forewarned, assuming you think they are worthy of the otherwise excellent content (sarc/).
It’s too easy for people who haven’t done the homework and are therefore vulnerable to the lies and manipulation to brush off facts as “misinformation”, but most people will relate to and be alerted by warnings of scam techniques. Otherwise every “phishing” practitioner online would be rich. Islam is like any other cult and education in its strategy and tactics is now as essential to our survival as is an understanding of the same with regard to Marxism.

It is not just Jihadis who pretend to believe in democracy or human rights or free speech. The totalitarian movements such as communism, fascism and the leftists in the Democrat party. Biden claimed in his campaign he was going to bring Americans together. As president he has continued to drive wedges between people. With CRT and BLM, schools that teach that American conservatives are fascists, racists, exploiters. Biden never intended to bring people together. Driving wedges between groups is the favored tactic of the Democrat party. And lying about having the best intentions is how the Dems work, not just the jihadis.

France: Imams told to feign support for the French after beheading of teacher for showing Muhammad cartoon
………………
No surprise there–textbook Taqiyya. Pious Muslims have realized that many in France are actually upset by Muslims beheading teachers.

Speaking of “feigning support” spot the difference between Sadiq Khan’s condolences for the deaths of George Floyd and Sir David Amess. Sadiq Khan is the Muslim Mayor of London.
Sadiq Khan: “The pain and frustration George Floyd’s brutal murder brought to the surface illustrated how far we have to go to end racism. The best tribute we could ever pay to George is to translate the global groundswell of activism we’ve seen into real, lasting change.”
Sadiq Khan: “I am so deeply, deeply saddened by the tragic news that Sir David has passed away. He loved being an MP and was a great public servant. It is just awful. My thoughts and prayers, and those of all Londoners, are with David’s loved ones at this time of unimaginable grief.”
So one death was a brutal murder, and one death was a “passing away”.
Ghastly horrible little man.

“Passed away”–you’d think David Amess had had a stroke or something, instead of being brutally stabbed to death by one of Sadiq Khan’s savage coreligionists.

I can see exactly were you are coming from Eleanor, and agreed, he is a ghastly horrible little man.
