No information as to the identity of the perp, but the fact that he was a suicide bomber suggests that he was a Muslim pursuing the promise of Paradise to those who “kill and are killed” for Allah (Qur’an 9:111). Also, the hopeless Daily Mail, the worst paper in the Western world, had the detail from a witness that one of the arrested men “looked Iranian,” but has removed it from its report. Mustn’t offend the ruling class.
And so the British people can celebrate diversity with special joy this year, secure in the knowledge that their all-wise government has hounded all domestic critics of jihad violence into silence, and banned foreign ones from entering the country.
“Taxi driver ‘locked suicide bomber in his car after spotting explosives’ before blast ripped through the car outside Liverpool maternity hospital seconds before Poppy Day silence, killing the cab passenger – as anti-terror police arrest three in raids,” by Stewart Whittingham, Lauren Lewis, Kaya Terry, and Stephen Wynn-Davies, MailOnline, November 14, 2021:
A taxi driver apparently locked a suicide bomber in his car after spotting explosives before a blast ripped through the vehicle outside a maternity hospital in Liverpool on Sunday.
The explosion, reported at 10:59am, came moments before the nation fell silent to mark Remembrance Day and killed the cab passenger and injured the driver.
The car passenger, a man, was declared dead at the scene and is yet to be formally identified. The driver, also a man, was injured and is being treated for injuries which police said are ‘not life threatening’.
Unconfirmed reports on social media suggested the taxi driver averted disaster by locking his passenger inside. Stephen Thomas said online: ‘The taxi driver is my mate, and he spotted the passenger acting suspicious. He’s in hospital, luckily he escaped just before but he did suffer some injuries.’
Kev Cuthbertson also wrote on Facebook: ‘He is a hero, when he noticed the bomb, he locked the scumbag in the car.’ Marie Davies said: ‘He stopped by the women’s hospital and locked the terrorist in his cab after noticing the device.’
Billy Darwin added: ‘I’ve heard he has injuries so on behalf of us all on here I wish this Liverpool hero a speedy recovery. He put his life on the line and nearly paid the ultimate price to save others – apparently not giving anything a second thought besides making sure he went above and beyond to keep the people of our city safe.’
Armed police late on Sunday arrested three men, aged 29, 26 and 21, in the Boaler Street in the Kensington area of Liverpool as part of a terror probe into the incident.
Detectives and Army bomb disposal experts are investigating whether the blast was triggered by a suicide bomber. The timing of the incident, at 10.59am on Poppy Day, is being examined.
A number of locals said armed officers swooped on a terraced house in Sutcliffe Street, off Boaler Street, in the afternoon and arrested one suspect after blocking the road with vehicles and cordons. Reports claimed police negotiators were in a stand-off with suspects at the site after armed officers swarmed the street.
Sections of Boaler Street and Sutcliffe Street remained cordoned off, with a heavy police presence at the scene as inquiries continue.
A similar police scene was in place at Rutland Avenue in Sefton Park, with counter-terror officers sighted in the neighbourhood. Locals said police arrived from about 1pm as officers went on to guard a terraced property as the immediate surrounding area was cordoned off.
One Kensington resident, 21, said: ‘They grabbed two men and handcuffed them behind their backs.’ Chris Lee, 31, said: ‘They were bundled into the van. They had grabbed them from one of the houses. I had never seen them before.’
Police earlier said the explosion, reported at the maternity hospital at 10:59am, ‘has not been declared a terrorist incident at this stage’ as they urged the public to remain calm, but vigilant. The incident took place as a remembrance service involving scores of military personnel, veterans and civic dignitaries, was happening at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral less than a mile away. …
mortimer says
It appears that the Remembrance Day service at Liverpool cathedral was the target. The sensible cabby saved many lives. The police could not possibly say that it was NOT a terrorist incident.
What else would a Muslim have a bomb besides Islamic terrorism?
The Liverpool police are in denial or they are looking for other terrorists. They should look, because jihadists seldom work alone. There is a mentor somewhere for this jihadist. Someone inspired him to blow himself up.
Soon the parents and neighbors of the bomber will come forward to tell us things like ‘He seemed nice until he started attending the mosque more often’.
Jihadists hide easily in the Muslim community and even conceal their thoughts from fellow Muslims.
Meanwhile, the UK government brings in hundreds of illegal Muslim migrants every day.
Out of 2,000 Muslims, 1 will possibly be a jihadist and 300 will be jihad supporters who will aid and abet the jihadists.
gravenimage says
Mortimer, you are right about the likely target. And police *are* looking for other terrorists–they have made several raids and several arrests, which seems to inply that they knew something about the perp.

Gravenimage : back in 2004 , there was a muslim suicide bomber in a taxi in an area called Karrada in Baghdad where a passenger waved at him to get a ride as it happens in Iraq where people can Judy signal to any taxi or other cars ( Uber ) for ride ; so when the passenger was in the taxi , the taxi driver spotted an military convoy near by and then he said to the passenger “ Don’t you want to have a lunch today with the messenger of Allah ? “ only then the passenger knew the taxi driver was a suicde bomber from Al-Qaeda terror group ( at they time ISIS haven’t emerged yet ) who wanted to blow himself up in his taxi along with the passenger on the American convoy , so the passenger immediately somehow managed to get off the taxi before the disaster “ true story by the way which that passenger narrated to people ! So welcome to EuropeSTAN ????
gravenimage says
Thanks for that grim story, Lion heart. Glad the passenger escaped. Did the taxi driver blow himself up? Was the American convoy attacked?
By the way, on more innocent topics, you can also flag down a taxi here in the West, whereas Uber and Lyft rides are usually hired online.
Lion heart says
Gravenimage : as far as I am concerned the suicide bomber failed to blow himself up thank God, Now I am a Canadian ? I don’t care about Iraq ! As for a taxi , I know we can flag down the taxi even in Canada but mainly we call over the phone to fire them ! But in Iraq , whether the vehicle is a taxi or just your own car , you can use both as a taxi for living by flagging them down where there is no a taxi company to call in order to hire a one !

With due respect Robert you sometimes sound as hysterical as Pamela Geller or perhaps you are just being sarcastic. I have an extended family living in UK and I am sure they do not feel
that Muslims are a ‘ruling class’. . I wish you had been allowed into UK as then you would know something about the country from which you were so unkindly barred. The reason you and P Geller, were barred was because of the cost of providing security for your good selves. Do not condemn the whole of Britain for the actions of one weak Prime Minister, many would have been appreciative of your visit.
James Lincoln says
bill says,
“The reason you and P Geller, were barred was because of the cost of providing security for your good selves.”
Let’s, for a brief moment, assume that that is true.
So if Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller paid for their own security, they would be allowed into the UK???
john smith says
Bill I live in the UK, and the reason Robert and Pamela Geller are banned is because they oppose islam, it’s as simple as that. Anyone who opposes islam gets banned, there is a long list.
Our political elites and leaders are cowards every one of them, it’s muslims first and the indigenous British last every time. Look at the way they have treated Tommy Robinson, and Paul Golding just to name a few. I hate to say this but UK is well and truly down the road of no return.
Wellington says
With you here, john smith. The “cost of security” argument is no true argument at all but rather an excuse masquerading as an argument.

…………………
*Really*? Why did the government never once say this? And my understanding is that Spencer and Geller often pay for their own security, in any case. Why was this never offered as an option?
According to a BBC article, “a government spokesman said individuals whose presence ‘is not conducive to the public good’ could be excluded by the home secretary….
“Keith Vaz, chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee, who had called for the bloggers to be banned from the UK, said: ‘I welcome the home secretary’s ban on Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer from entering the country. This is the right decision. The UK should never become a stage for inflammatory speakers who promote hate.'”

*No* mention here of the cost of security.
bill, I have no idea if you were ignorant of this–I certainly hope so, because the alternative is rather worse…

UK: Suicide bomber explodes in car, anti-terror police arrest three in raids
And so the British people can celebrate diversity with special joy this year, secure in the knowledge that their all-wise government has hounded all domestic critics of jihad violence into silence, and banned foreign ones from entering the country.
………………….
All while allowing more and more Muslims to flood into Britain–including illegal immigrants.
And while, as noted, it is not clear yet who the suicide bomber was, the two neighborhoods noted in Liverpool–Kensington and Sefton Park–both have significant Muslim populations.
More:
“Taxi driver ‘locked suicide bomber in his car after spotting explosives’ before blast ripped through the car outside Liverpool maternity hospital seconds before Poppy Day silence.
………………….
Kudos to this taxi driver–I wish him a speedy and full recoverey. And while a large number of cab drivers in England and all over the West are Muslim, this driver–David Perry–given his name probably is not.
For anyone not familiar, “Poppy Day” is Remembrance Day, or Veteran’s Day in the States. I doubt this date was unintended.
The taxi driver says the bomber’s original destination was the Anglican Cathedral, where the Remebrance ceremony was being held, attended by local dignataries. After running into heavy traffic about a mile from the church, it seems that the materinity hospital was the second choice of target.
David M says
Well the all wise government recently found out they are not immune from their own immigration policies when David Amiss was stabbed to death by an observant Muslim. Actually I think it would have dawned on them they are the actual targets of pious Muslims.
gravenimage says
David Amiss was indeed opposed to illegal immigration into Britain.
David M says
Yes but I wasn’t talking about illegal immigration. I was talking about the legal mass immigration of Muslims into Britain their politicians are all in favour of, ever since Tony Blair’s government admitted doing it to “rub the noses of the British common man” in it. It is replacement migration, as proposed by the United Nations & endorsed by all the good globalist politicians.
David M says
The Muslim who shot dead David Amiss was not an illegal immigrant. Ali Ali was born in England & is the son of a legal Immigrant.
gravenimage says
David, I agree that illegal immigration is just part of the problem–still David Amiss was not completely ignorant of the issue.
Valhella says
Oh dear Lord save our beloved Albion… Those in a position to do so are failing miserably – in fact they would appear to be encouraging an enemy invasion.
Kagman says
Of course there’s no information on the identity of the perp…. The suicidal fools refuse to acknowledge even to themselves the shitstorm they’ve brought upon their nation.
Ecosse1314 says
The taxi driver was a greasy islamaphobe. Just because the guy looked middle eastern and had wires and detonaters wrapped around him ,this taxi driver assumed he was a suicide bomber and illegally detained him. The fact the taxi driver was right is beside the point..
Sarc off but probably coming to a newspaper any time soon.
The taxi driver is a hero in any sense of the word.
tgusa says
I saw this posted on another site.
“It’s my mate who got blown up. He’s in a bad, bad way, fellow cabbie Kev Cuthbertson said.
He’s a fellow driver on delta. He’s had his ear sewn back on, got burns and shrapnel wounds and other pretty serious injuries. He is a hero. When he noticed the bomb, he locked the scumbag in the car but took the brunt of the blast.”
That is the definition of, first responder. Way to go Mr. Perry. God speed in your recovery.
Fitna says
They’ll find some way to blame ‘right wing extremists’ while crying about Muslims fearing a backlash. Must be all that Islamophobia causing this.
Meanwhile the party for Islamic invaders flooding UK and Europe continues. Though at least Poland, Hungary and a few others are trying to hold them back.
Valhella says
Indeed, but now they’re being helped to break through the Polish defences, will anyone come to the aid of Poland? We are watching the EU, their reaction or lack of will be very telling.
tgusa says
If you research the history of Poland, Poland has suffered many times as a result of foreign invasion and yet they keep fighting on. Poland does deserve defending. Among any nation on Earth that that the USA should could and must assist, that would be Poland.

It is becoming ever increasingly difficult not to conclude that Britain is dying. Tony Blair really began this suicidal stupidity and he is still in denial. I have zero respect for him.

Do the non muslim western establishment king pins really think they would survive muslim rule? From my non establishment, never associated with king pins, perspective…I find that difficult to comprehend. What is the reasoning behind this, what is driving this within western leadership? It all appears to be recklessly insane decisions/policies.
Michael Copeland says
what is driving this ?
Petrodollars?
JimJFox says
Petrol dollars are indeed driving jihad but the question was- what is driving UK (& other) enthusiasm for Islam? Surely it can’t be Muslim votes, can it?
gravenimage says
I think a big part of this is “poltical correctness”–these leftist fools feel morally superior to anyone who actually cares about defending Britons.
Eleanor says
tsuga, the UK kingpins and I would guess the Europe/EU kingpins as well, all have overseas bolt-holes if/when things turn to custard, ie. muslim rule. They will scarper at any sign of a muslim takeover, and leave the poor plebs to their fate, so they are not worried, and really don’t care.
tgusa says
Eleanor,
If they scarper off to an island somewhere the Navy could do a periodic drive by and shell the hell out of them. Right now they hide in plain sight among us but later they would find few places to hide. If they believe they are disliked among us just wait until they are forced to go somewhere else in the world.
Mateen Elass says
Poppy Day is more formally known as Remembrance Day in the UK, but the correct parallel to U.S. holidays is Memorial Day, not Veterans’ Day. Just for accuracy’s sake.
gravenimage says
I take your point, Mateen–you can certainly make a case for this. But Remembrance Day in the UK and Veteran’s Day in the US are both held on November 11, and both date from and refer to the end of the First World War. Memorial Day in the US is on the last Monday in May and dates back further–to a few years after the Civil War.
My main point here was not to parse the exact similarities and differences between the two holidays, but just to give Americans some idea of what “Poppy Day” refered to, since poppies are only occasionally used here, and the symbolism is completely unknown by many. (Just to confuse things further, National Poppy Day in the US is not held in November, but on May 28–likely to be held on or near Memorial Day. My English mother, the one time we ran into someone selling poppies here, considered them ignorant idiots for this change in dates).
Bernard Shaw–or someone, certainly–famously said “we are two peoples separated by a common language”–that, and a slew of small differences in custom. I’d have some tea and biscuits now, but that would be too confusing for at least some people…
Really, I wish these were the only problems we had, and not ravening Jihad terrorists trying to kill us. Certainly, they consider both Americans and Britons to be “filthy Infidels” and fair game for murder..

USA Memorial Day is for dead Americans killed in war. USA Veterans day is for everyone else who is a veteran. I believe that Poppy Day/Remembrance day originally was celebrated on Nov 11 signifying the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of the WWI armistice agreement.
Mateen Elass says
You are correct, of course, about the reason for the timing of the celebration of Remembrance Day. The purpose of the holiday, however, is the remembrance and honoring of all Britain’s war dead who served in the military.
Thomas Richard says
I have no sympathy for any Western nation that feeds the Muslim invasion and then reaps it’s reward……
gravenimage says
In that case, you have no sympathy for any victim in the West. Not everyone in these nations supports these suicidal policies.
tgusa says
Its not the majority of people in those nations Thomas. Should we abandon them to their flawed leadership? If we has no honer no integrity and had black hearts we would do that.
I will agree, those people are fighting against an onslaught against all odds.We must support them.
Dhimmi says
unfortunately it would be better if these attacks would help europeans realize now the nature of islam before muslims are sufficiently many and the process of islamification of europe would be nearly impossible to reverse. For reasons like this the middle east migrants should be stopped
Valhella says
Absolutely Dhimmi. Something (maybe saudi backhanders) is allowing unencumbered invasion of Europe and particularly England, by hordes of mozlems, who have never made a secret of their intention to subsume us and enslave us. Political correctness be damned – It’s time to fight for our survival.

Phil Copson says
“National Counter Terrorism Security Office’s ex Head Chris Phillips: “If that bomb had been in the wrong place it would have killed lots of people.”
——————————————————————————————————————
There’s no getting anything past Chris Phillips, is there ? What gem will he have for us tomorrow – “Sticking sharp blades into people’s necks may cause serious injury?” “Throwing people off high buildings can spoil their whole day?”
However, totally agree with his unintended implication that – (apart from the injuries suffered by the vigilant Mr Perry) – the bomb went off in exactly the right place….

My suspicion though is that the mainstream media will try to downplay and censor further reporting of this story.

Tony Blair’s cynical remark that his government was importing Muslims into Great Britain to “rub it in to the common man” meaning your run of the mill British bloke.
One more example how globalists like Blair have swallowed the vile population replacement agenda.
It shows their utter contempt for the common man. It amounts to insult over injury. Because it is the common bloke who is literally bearing the brunt of their hateful agenda.
The elites contempt for the common man is self-evident to anyone with open eyes and a functional brain.
Douglas Murray’s book “The Strange Death of Europe” illustrates very well the ignominious surrender and betrayal of the European elites.

Alfredo, I am no fan of Tony Blair, but where did he say this? I can’t find anything.
Elizabeth Lawson says
These ‘Middle Eastern’ immigrants, and all those whose only cultural fidelity is adherence to bomb, bullet, arson, knifing/ murdering, rage, hatred, destruction, misery and death, did and do not come to the West to enhance either their own lives or those of their adopted country. They present as intellectually deprived and depraved halfwits. The ‘homes’ that these subhuman rejects emanated from were clearly emotional and parental deserts. They are indeed correct when the state – as they have repeatedly done, that. They ‘live for death’. The wretched environments that robbed them of all humanity, joy, love, creativity or any shred of the beauty of life and being human, provided by Almighty God, has held them hostage until they seal their contract – murdering people. WHY is the UK permitting these wild creatures entry to their country?
