About this item
Automatic Dust Collection: Dust is automatically emptied after a cleanup, turning dustbin emptying from often to occasional.

Smart Emptying Modes: Choose the right emptying option for your needs from Smart, Light, Balanced, and Max. In Smart mode, emptying will be dynamically adjusted based on recent cleaning habits, emptying frequency, and more.
App-Controlled Emptying: Power auto-emptying on and off in-app whenever you want to.
Multi-Layer Air Filtration: Multiple layers of air filtration keep fine dust locked away inside the dock, not in your air.

We've had this dock now for13 months and it's still going strong. This dock has been a perfect companion for our S7 vacuum. We have 2 Ragdoll cats and a short-haired. 30 lb dog. The vacuum runs every day and this dock pulls the every bit of hair and dirt from the dust bin every time. I know some people complain about the bag but it keeps things so neat and clean. I don't miss banging a dust bin in the trash can and dealing with the dust cloud. We swap out the bag about every 3 months or so. We found after market bags on Amazon for cheap so I'm very glad this machine comes with a bag! Now i don't have to empty the dust bin every day. Instead I have to perform 3 minutes of maintence once a week to clean the cat hair out of the beater bar on the vacuum. Bottom line is we love this device. The only con I can think of is that the vacuum on the dock is loud when emptying so I wouldn't run it when people are trying to sleep but worth it to get all that cat hair!
Ok, this thing is loud but it works well. Doesn’t get everything but it gets most of it. I’ve noticed some grass, weeds, pet hair stays in the receptacle but that majority of the dust and dirt is emptied. I’m using with a bag so not sure I’d like it as much if I wasn’t. But using a bag keeps it nice and tidy and I found a reseller that sells them at an affordable price. I love my Roborock S7!
Update: I admit that like most men I don’t read the instructions if the assembly looks intuitive enough and because of that I did not remove the tab on the robot vacuum when initially using the self emptying bin. I may or may not have written this review before discovering this. Lately whenever I double check the receptacle after a self empty it is completely empty. This thing is amazing! Hope this helps!
This system has great suction. It gets everything out of our vacuum. We have 3 dogs and 2 kids so we get a lot of different dirt and dog hair. I sent back a different brand because it didn't have the suction to empty the dirt collector. I would definitely tell my friends to buy this.
Update: Tried this auto-empty dock for a day. It simply does not work at all. I filed for return and refund as soon as I saw that the dock has been used and has not even been cleaned before shipping right to us. However, my wife stopped me from returning it because she wanted to try it since we've had to wait for half a month for it to arrive and there are no more stock available. We loved the Roborock S7 and don't expect problems from the dock but that fact that we bought a new product only to receive a used and dirty product bothers us a lot. I am not sure why it was returned, but I won't hesitate for a second to return if it shows any signs of issues.
I was super excited about a self-emptying robot vac, and it was the biggest reason for purchasing the Roborock. I will say that for folks having trouble with getting any suction out of the vac, it's most likely due to the main wheel compartment either not being reassembled/seated correctly, or too much hair around the tube causing a bit of displacement. The seal has to be exact, but if it is, it empties the bin perfectly. HOWEVER, if you have dog hair that's on the longer side, it all gets caught in a lump due to the divider in the middle, and doesn't get sucked in. It does come out of the vac, but you'll be left with it sitting on the dock. Needs a bit of a redesign.
