The EU should have stepped up at the beginning of the crisis. Poland finds itself stuck in the middle of a conflict between the EU and Belarus, while the open-door EU merely observes developments and pays ineffectual lip service to the problem. Now Poland is calling on NATO –while the leaders of Latvia and Lithuania are considering “invoking Article 4 of the NATO Treaty” — which reflects the seriousness of the escalation. Last week, countries bordering Belarus warned that the Muslim migrant crisis could escalate into a military confrontation.
It is stunning to witness the fear and intimidation of globalist EU leaders in the face of the escalating level of encroachment upon the sovereignty of member nations. This would never be tolerated by Islamic countries: many are keeping out Muslim migrants, and some are even resorting to violence to do so.
The mainstream media has not reported adequately about the treatment of refugees in countries such as Turkey, Iran and Libya. Instead, they have targeted Poland, prompting Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to warn about disinformation campaigns by Moscow and Belarus, stating that “some recent articles in the US gave him chills.” That is nothing new, since the establishment media has largely become an arm of the state.
This video was shared on Twitter by Poland’s Ministry of the Interior and Administration, demonstrating the chaos at the border. Polish authorities are heard warning migrants about the consequences of not following orders.

“Poland’s PM issues demand to NATO over standoff with Belarus,” RT, November 14, 2021:
Words are not enough to resolve the refugee crisis on Poland’s border with Belarus, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has said, demanding that NATO take “concrete steps” to deal with the issue.
“There is no doubt that things have gone too far,” Morawiecki told the Polish PAP news agency on Sunday, adding that “words alone are not enough to stop” Minsk, which Warsaw has accused of orchestrating the border crisis.
The prime minister also revealed that he and the leaders of Latvia and Lithuania were considering invoking Article 4 of the NATO Treaty to encourage the alliance to take some action over the situation on Poland’s eastern border with Belarus.
Article 4 says parties to the treaty are to hold consultations “whenever, in the opinion of any of them, the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the parties is threatened.”
It is not enough to just “publicly express our concern,” Morawiecki said, adding that “commitment” and “concrete steps” were needed from all the NATO members. He said he was in constant contact with other European leaders and recently spoke to European Council President Charles Michel and EU Commission head Ursula von der Leyen. He said US President Joe Biden was aware of what Morawiecki described as Minsk’s “provocative actions.”
The Polish head of government also said new sanctions against Belarus were on the table and would be considered at the next emergency summit of the European Council requested by Poland. “We will certainly discuss further sanctions, including the complete closure of the border,” he said.
Morawiecki accused Minsk – and Moscow – of waging a “disinformation” campaign against Poland to blame it for the crisis. He also urged Western media not to fall for Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko’s “manipulations” in exchange for access to the refugee camps, adding that some recent articles in the US gave him chills. He also encouraged the media to rely on “reliable confirmed information” provided by Poland through a specially created state-run portal.
Thousands of asylum seekers, mostly from the Middle East, have been camping out at the Belarusian border. The EU accuses Belarus of orchestrating the crisis….

Ha! This is the first time since the Cold War that NATO is actually being invoked for something actually relevant to its charter. It wasn’t the peacekeeping in Bosnia years ago, nor was it even the war in Afghanistan (which is outside its periphery of influence). You now have a NATO member – Poland – being threatened by a foreign power – Belarus
Let’s see how NATO handles this one w/o involving the US. B/w our issues w/ China and our woke CRT exercises and vaccine mandates, we have no business chewing on this one. But it is in Europe’s periphery, so let them deal w/ it
LB says
“Peacekeeping in Bosnia…”
The only thing NATO, KFOR, UMNIK and other military UN abbreviations “peacekept” in Bosnia and Kosovo during the 90’s was the muslims launching raids on Christian Serbian villages. One such “safe zone” was Srebrenica out of which Naser Oric–who was declared not guilty on all charges by the Hague kangaroo court–and his muslim butchers were planning and organizing beheadings and human barbecues of innocent civilians all over Bosnian countryside. Well… we all know how that ended up, but the numbers were overinflated by the media as usual.
Point being, the NATO will only move if the ones in danger are THE MUSLIMS and not for any native Christian Europeans, especially if they are an ideological opponent to the UN/EU satanic New World Order. And for that reason, instead of building a massive and expensive wall/fence to fend off the invading “migrants”, the Poles should set up a few machinegun nests (which are immensely cheaper and faster to install) and watch NATO fully mobilizing and setting up in Poland within a day.
Infidel says
Yeah, I should have used sneer quotes around ‘peacekeeping’
At any rate, that was not the reason why NATO was founded. It was a military alliance that was supposed to be a counterblast to the Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact vassals. Really speaking, this is the first time in its history that it’s being asked to support a member being threatened by a foreign threat
Since the threat is Belarus, rather than Russia, maybe NATO can slam them in the same way they did Serbia in the 90s? I know they dare not take on Russia, but maybe bombing refugee positions on the Belarus-Poland border will send tremors around both Minsk and Moscow?

Infidel, we are signatories to the NATO treaty, which means that its articles have the force of law on the US. whether we want to be involved or not, we are *legally* obligated to respond to a request for help.
of course, since the fascists running the national government in DC don’t feel *any* obligation to follow the law, there is a better than even chance that they will ignore any article 4 request for help, no doubt hoping that the poles get overrun and killed in the thousands yet again. lying leftist thugs never change.
Infidel says
Normally, we should be able to support Poland w/ arms, and arm them to the teeth, just like we did Ukraine. I was reading a Wiki article on Novorossiya (granted, not the best source), but they had it that that project was frozen in 2015 (this was regarding carving the Donbass out of the Ukraine). Beyond that, even if Trump were running things, it’s more important for our troops to be opposing China, which is a far more dangerous military threat than Russia, b’cos they have the economy to underwrite their adventurism
My point above was that if NATO – i.e. the EU defense, or the European Army as some Eurocrats would like to have it – is unable to protect Poland, then the US at least should leave NATO. Let us deal w/ China first, and then we’ll deal w/ either the Islamic powers or Russia
Green Infidel says
What are the chances of Sleepy Joe stepping up? (Note that this crisis, and the Russia-Ukraine crisis, have flared up after January of this year…)
My guess is, that Lukashenko, the “president” aka dictator of Belarus, wants the EU to kneel before him and bribe him to control the borders – much like the EU did with Erdogan. And that may eventually happen…
As can be seen, all it takes is a crazy guy on the EU’s border to start dishing out visas to the Muslim world, for all hell to break loose. Does this bode well for the future?

we should all stand with poland that defends its borders from a barbaric invasion!

It should be considered as an invasion to a sovereign country. Poland should be entitled to use military force to deal with any illegal immigrant coming from Belarus, capture them and send back to their original country after confiscate any valuable to compensate the cost.
Unfortunately too many leaders from other countries are so hypocrites and want to be globalist heroes (while protecting their own homes) like Joe Biden who build wall around his own house but not on Texas border.
john smith says
It’s not the first time the Poles have had to defend Europe against the muslim invaders. If only the west acted in the same way, they would instantly stop coming.
Treereen says
What can NATO do that Poland, Lithuania or Latvia cannot do with all the resources they already have? It hasn’t come to any live shooting, simply provocations ending with crowd control or arrests of any that get through. Involving NATO means involving Russia. That’s if Russian soldiers are not already involved as “little green men”.
The best thing to do is what is being done now. Migrant attacks are repelled with non-lethal means by the police who are trained in riot control. The army supports the traffic police in the exclusion zone. The territorials perform reconnaissance and the border force act on the information to detain anyone who makes it through. The forest service (with its own defensive equipment and vehicles) is being mobilised in support capacity. At this time there is no need for NATO to get involved.
It’s enough that a Bombardier Challenger 650 ARTEMIS and a RC-135V of USAF had flown near the border and over the Baltic states in answer to the “training flight” of the two nuclear capable Tu-22 and Su-35s as well as “exercises” by at least two Tu-160 strategic bombers 40 miles from the Polish border.
Infidel says
I think that the reason NATO is being invoked is that if Poland were to, on its own, ask its troops to fire at the muslims and massacre them, which they legally could since they are a foreign invading force, the polypragnomists in the EU would be hard on their case, piling on the grief they’re already giving them for refusing to take in muslims. Invoking NATO will force most of the EU countries, who are NATO members, to look at this through Warsaw’s POV. I don’t think the police should be the ones dealing w/ this here: this is happening on the Poland-Belarus border, so Polish troops should be there, shooting on sight any muslim migrants trying to enter
Since the people they would then kill won’t be Belarus citizens, much less Belarus military personnel, Minsk won’t have a raison d’être to even diplomatically go after Warsaw. Poland can do it on its own, but invoking NATO preempts the EU from giving them grief for not welcoming them w/ open arms
Treereen says
I agree with making a bigger stink about this through NATO.
It’s the shooting on sight part that’s problematic. Migrants are on the territory of Belarus up until they come in contact with Polish border barriers.
Infidel says
Treereen, the Poles know that the ‘migrants’ are on their way to Poland, otherwise they’d all be settled somewhere near Minsk. So they’d be perfectly justified in shooting them. And Belarus won’t have a leg to stand on, b’cos the people killed won’t be Belarussians. And this only has to happen once before Minsk sees that it won’t work
Incidentally, why doesn’t Belarus settle them in Gomel and in the border areas near the Cherobyl site, and then study how well they do before deciding whether to repopulate the areas that had been abandoned since the Chernobyl meltdown in 1986?

So, according to the feature article:
“Poland demands NATO step in to deal with Muslim migrant crisis on border with Belarus”
So, on that basis, can the United States demand NATO step in to deal with the migrant crisis on the southern border? (sarc/off)
Infidel says
Well, the US ain’t a part of a bigger super-government like the EU. Yeah, we have the OAS (incidentally, why don’t we use that to emphasize to the rest of the Americas that we’re not just an open park where they can just walk in, but more like Disneyland, where they have to stand in line and get a ticket i.e. visa to come in?), but the OAS is not a super-government that overrides sovereign authority
Poland’s problem is that Belarus is looking at it as the door into Europe, and trying to slam it down. Poland has been getting grief from the EU for not allowing in muslim refugees, so this could well be a diplomatic ‘insurance’ policy by claiming that they’re getting invaded by these muslims, and since they’re being invaded, they’re invoking NATO. That way, the EU would have problems in going after them on immigration grounds when Poland is treating that as an invasion. Incidentally, the Belarussian move is aimed at the EU which is sanctioning them, not so much at Poland per se
The reason US wouldn’t call NATO is that we wouldn’t want foreign troops on our territory: we can cover our own. Mexico is a far weaker country than the US, but the same is not true about Belarus vis a vis Poland
James Lincoln says
Infidel says,
“The reason US wouldn’t call NATO is that we wouldn’t want foreign troops on our territory: we can cover our own.”
Absolutely true, obviously I was being sarcastic.
But…
Just for shucks and giggles, wouldn’t it be ironic if a US Senator or Congressman demanded that the fraudulent Biden administration ask NATO for help in securing the southern border…
Infidel says
You mean Democrat senator or congressman? ? B’cos the only thing troops from NATO countries – be it UK, Canada, Italy, Spain et al would be good at would be in ushering those ‘migrants’ in, not stopping them. I mean, which NATO country, except Poland and Hungary, have done even a half decent job in stopping muslim invaders? Italy for a while when Salvini was interior minister, but now they’d have to wait for him to become prime minister before they can have that again
James Lincoln says
Your points are well taken, Infidel.
