After promising to "shut down the virus" in 2020, Biden just said "there is no federal solution" before heading to his vacation home

I'm pretty sure this guy said he'd never give up when it came to stopping Covid.

Oh yeah, here it is:

Oh and let's not forget:

OK now let's check in with Biden on Monday:

Well, that seems a bit… anti-climatic. Here's more context of the call with governors if you want it. Joe Biden responded to concerns about the supply chain from Arkansas' governor by saying there is no federal solution to Covid.

Speaking ahead of the president, [National Governor's Association] Chairman Gov. Asa Hutchinson, a Republican, thanked Biden for his administration's efforts but raised concerns that the federal plan to increase testing capacity with a half-billion at-home COVID-19 tests could interfere with "the supply chain for solutions we might offer as governor."

In response, Biden said that state governments are ultimately responsible for fighting the Omicron variant by getting people vaccinated, including with booster shots.

"Look, there is no federal solution. This gets solved at a state level," the president said. "And then ultimately gets down to where the rubber meets the road, and that's where the patient is in need of help or preventing the need for help."

But I recall that Joe swore that he could do what Donald Trump couldn't: stop the evil ‘Rona in its tracks. Less than a year into the job, he seems to have run the white flag up the flagpole awfully fast!

At least the guy sticks to what he knows best: running away!
