Israel has no choice but to defend its borders, its sovereignty and its very existence against jihadist threats and against any opposition stemming from the propaganda war against it, which portrays Israel as an illegal occupier, despite all historic and archeological evidence to the contrary.
As Iran and other jihadist entities escalate, Leftists step up their attacks against Israel, not only accepting anti-Israel propaganda, but trusting in a nuclear deal. Yet such a deal will only serve to fill Iran’s coffers of Iran and enable the regime’s aid to its proxies and efforts to build a nuclear bomb.
“Lapid tweets to Iranian FM about regime’s ‘evil essence,’” by Laban Harkov, Jerusalem Post, January 4, 2022:
Iran will not be able to destroy Israel, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said in response to his Iranian counterpart on Twitter on Tuesday.
Lapid’s tweet came after Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian tweeted: “The disturbing remarks of the foreign minister of the fake Israeli regime towards the great nation of Iran are an example of the famous Iranian proverb that ‘a camel dreams of a grain of cotton, sometimes it licks the grain of a grain.'”
“We defend the rights, interests and progress of the nation with authority and rationality,” Amirabdollahian wrote. “Zionism has no place in the future of the world.”
Lapid tweeted in response: “The extremist Iranian regime threatens Israel with annihilation but will continue to lose this battle.
“Their failed leadership is destroying Iran from within,” he added. “In the words of the Iranian poet Saadi: ‘He whose essence is evil, will forever remain so.’”It was unclear which of Lapid’s remarks Amirabdollahian found disturbing. A day earlier, Lapid said that negotiations for Iran to return to the 2015 nuclear deal were unlikely to end well for Israel.
The Vienna talks “won’t reach an optimal result as far as we’re concerned, but we are always working with the people involved to improve the result for Israel,” Lapid said.
The foreign minister said that Israel is continually engaged with the other countries involved in the talks, but that will only bring “a lot of small achievements, not a big one.”
World powers’ negotiations with Iran resumed on Monday, after a break for New Year’s weekend.
China, France, Russia, the UK and the US issued a joint statement that they “consider the avoidance of war between nuclear-weapon states and the reduction of strategic risks as [their] foremost responsibilities.”…

I notice that the Iranian Foreign Minister talks about “the great nation of Iran’. Talk about delusions of grandeur. Iran, with its government run by a bunch of mullahs and assorted lunatics is as far removed from being a great nation as any country can be. I’m sure that Israel, if the threat from iran does become serious, will respond appropriately and deal severely with Iran and hammer that barbaric country. The idea of those lunatics who run Iran having access to nuclear weapons is extremely troubling, that’s for sure. It is not something that the responsible countries of the world should ever let happen.

Yes, the Mullahs are insane.
“Iran having access to nuclear weapons is extremely troubling, that’s for sure. It is not something that the responsible countries of the world should ever let happen.”
And yet, it seems the “responsible countries” are as delusional as the Mullahs – and letting it happen.
Iran is simply “running out the clock ” until it has a nuclear bomb while developing the delivery system in parallel. It only needs one.
There is no solution to this problem except the removal of the Iranian Regime and decimation of the IRGC. If enough damage is done to The Iranian Regime it will be unable to continue funding terrorism. The civilized Arabs are fed-up with Iran’s leadership and would be content to see it gone.
I’d hate to see such a war happen yet I cannot see any scenario in which Israel can afford to wait until 2025 to have a reliable ally.

Thanks for the comment, Westman. I agree with what you say about how the “responsible countries” seem delusional or maybe just slack in letting the lunatics who run Iran edge closer to having nuclear weapons. It seems like incredibly reckless behaviour from the countries that seem to think that the nutcases that run Iran won’t use such weapons. Like you, I would say that removing the loathsome Iranian regime is the only answer to the problem.

If the religiously demented Mullahs get the bomb then the Taliban might want one, Pakistan and India have Nukes and China has them and probably Kazakhstan and the other ‘stans’ to the north being part of the Soviet block at one stage probably have access to them via Russia if they want them which leaves Afghanistan surrounded by countries with Nukes.
Maybe the Taliban could do a deal with China, we’ll swap access to rare earths for the bomb, wouldn’t that be swell?
Westman says
California’s Mountain Pass(open pit) Mine has been reopened for the mining of “rare earths” now the price has risen and the extraction of them from ocean manganese nodules also being explored. The US will soon be free of China’s rare earths. We also need to be free of its manufacturing for our nation’s sellout corporations.
gregbeetham says
In any case there’s an estimated large reserve of undeveloped rare earths here in Australia which would be a safe and reliable source for the USA if need be. So far we’ve been into mainly coal and iron ore and gold, rare earths not so much.

Israel’s FM tweets to Iranian FM about regime’s ‘evil essence,’ says Iran nuke deal will not end well
…………
Good for Yair Lapid!

I can easily see a scenario where western countries including Israel, do nothing to stop Iran. Then one day we wake up to the news that Israel has been completely obliterated by Iran in a nuclear attack.
Meanwhile Israel’s 300 nukes are sitting in their silos unused. The same could easily happen to the US and other western nations. Granted Israel and the US may have a second strike capability, but would it use them under their present craven gov’ts?
We ignored the lessons of 9/11 and we’re once against foolishing repeating our mistakes. People are burying their heads in the sand, giving Muslims a second, third…millionth chance.
I guess it will probably take a few nuked cities for people to wake up to the Jihad. It’s all fun and games until the Muslims incinerate us in a nuclear attack.
