A shahid, or martyr, in the Islamic context is one who kills for Allah and is killed in the process (cf. Qur’an 9:111).
“Palestinians reinvent Jesus in their own image – as a terrorist,” by Itamar Marcus, Palestinian Media Watch, January 14, 2022:
The PA uses many euphemisms and terms to refer to terrorists, and they are applying two of them to Jesus. The first is Fida’i, literally “self-sacrificing fighter.” For example, terrorist Ashraf Na’alwa, who brought a rifle to work, tied up a young mother of a 15-month-old, and then murdered her and another coworker, was called by Fatah: “The heroic Fida’i.” Fatah official Rawhi Fattouh applied this status to Jesus: “Jesus the first Palestinian Fida’i.”
The second term is Shahid – Islamic “Martyr” – the word the PA uses for every terrorist killed during his/her attack, including suicide bombers. Senior Fatah leader Tawfiq Tirawi applied both terms to Jesus: “The first Fida’i and the first Martyr, the messiah Jesus.”
Ironically, the PA and Fatah do not intend to insult Jesus’ memory or Christian tradition by turning Jesus into a terrorist. Palestinian leaders actually believe that terrorists, murderers of Israelis, and Islamic “Martyrs”, are the “most honorable.” PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas praises them regularly and puts them on the highest pedestal: “We view the Martyrs and prisoners (i.e., terrorists) as stars in the sky of the Palestinian people and they have priority in everything.” [Official PA TV, July 24, 2018]
So by calling Jesus a Palestinian terrorist the PA/Fatah actually intend to honor him….
somehistory says
“And, yet then, I will confess to them, I never knew you. Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.” Jesus Christ said that will be His reply to those who make claims of doing good things in His name.
His reply to those who wanted Him dead for speaking the Truth, “You are from your father the devil and you wish to do the desires of your father. That one was a murderer when he began…the truth is not in him.”
Jesus would condemn those who murder as the **heroes** of mozlums do. And, He does “not know” these people using His Name or calling Him what they call murdering slime. He will execute Justice upon them all.

Here they go again! The Muslim delusion of a Palestinian Jesus is pure fantasy. The Koran states it is a book of spiritualistic communications received in séances from the ‘occult’ (ghaib) (Koran 3.44), while the New Testament states that it is a collection of historical accounts. Which one is more reliable?
Jesus never referred to himself as a Palestinian nor did he refer to Palestine nor is ‘Palestine’ in the New Testament.
JESUS ONLY CALLED HIMSELF ‘A JEW’(Jn4.22) and one the highest compliments recorded in the New Testament is when Jesus called Nathaniel a ‘TRUE ISRAELITE’.
To call Jesus ‘Palestinian’ contradicts the Bible and is an intentional anachronism.
Jesus was never called a ‘PALESTINIAN’ and never referred to himself as such … JESUS ONLY CALLED HIMSELF ‘A JEW’ (Jn4.22) and one the highest compliments recorded in the New Testament is when Jesus called Nathaniel a ‘TRUE ISRAELITE’.
“We Jews know whom we worship because it is from the Jews that salvation comes” – John 4 v 22
JESUS WAS A PATRIOTIC ISRAELITE.
Jesus Christ is a Jew and a descendant of King David {Matthew 1 v 17}. Thus, Jesus was a patriotic Israelite who would have no difficulty endorsing Israel’s divinely-promised right to exist. Jesus wasn’t a Palestinian in any sense. Even the word ‘Palestine’ never appears in the NT.
THE NEW TESTAMENT IS A VERY ZIONIST BOOK. The name “Jerusalem” occurs 146 times in the New Testament and its synonym ‘Zion’ occurs 7 times. The New Testament also mentions ‘Israel’ or ‘Israelite’ 77 times. In contrast, Jerusalem is NEVER MENTIONED AT ALL in the Koran. Daniel Pipes offered $1 million to anyone who can find “Jerusalem” in the Koran.
The Koran refers to ‘The LAND’ of Israel as the land Allah assigned to Jews and where Allah commanded Jews to dwell. Consequently, the Koran is also a Zionist book, since it acknowledges that Banu Isra’il are commanded by Allah to live in the Holy Land.
Since Jerusalem is not mentioned one single time in the Koran, it expresses no awareness of Jerusalem. The locality that is the focus of the Koran is the ‘Forbidden Mosque’ and its exact location is never named. The Umayyads under Abd al-Malik tried (unsuccessfully) to change the religious center from Mecca/Medina to Jerusalem. Except for Caliph Abd al Malik who built the Dome of the Rock, no Arab has thought Jerusalem was of importance to Arabs or to Islam. Arabs have almost entirely ignored Jerusalem for 1400 years. Mosques in Damascus and Baghdad and other shrines in Najaf, Multan, Karbala and Qom have been far more important than Jerusalem to many Muslims.
Moreover, the word ‘Israel’ is mentioned 46 times in the Koran.’ The Children of Israel’ are mentioned 20 times in the Koran, often in the context of ‘The Land’ of Israel.
Importantly, the name ‘Palestine’ does not occur a single time in the Koran. ‘Palestine’ is the name given to Israel by the sarcastic Roman conquerors. Throughout history, Arabs have preferred to call this region ‘Lower Syria’.
The ‘eternal, perfect, and complete’ book of Allah never mentions ‘Palestine’, but mentions ‘Israel’ only. There is no support for the name ‘Palestine’ from Islam. Muslims referred to the region as Lower Syria.
Furthermore, THE QIBLA NEVER FACED JERUSALEM. Early Arabian Muslims claimed that they prayed towards ‘Syria’, rather than to Jerusalem. All the early mosques faced towards PETRA in southern Jordan (Lower Syria) and never towards Jerusalem. The idea that Mohammed prayed towards Jerusalem is not confirmed by any external or archaeological evidence. It is clear that Arabs prayed towards their pagan holy city of Nabatean Petra, where there were kept their holiest idols of Dhu Shara (the sun and moon god) and of Allat (the Arabian mother goddess). Mohammed’s tribe worshipped ‘ALLAT’ (Kora=Greek for ‘maiden’). The Koraysh tribe was named for the MAIDEN-GODDESS (Kora) it worshipped at Petra, NOT at JERUSALEM.
The Arabs of the time of Mohammed were pagans, Christians, and possibly Syrians, but never considered themselves to be ‘Palestinians’. That is an anachronism. Arabs were very tribal and only identified with their tribal identity as many do today.
The Palestinian fantasy is invented for a political goal and non-historical rubbish.

Thank you for this well informed post Mortimer.

Thanks for that Mortimer, It doesn’t take much digging in their own special book to work at it’s full of BS.

By honoring and glorifying murderers of unarmed civilians in such a manner, the PA reveals the DEATH CULT to which they adhere.
A slogan of early, foundational Islam was ‘We love death’. This slogan ‘We love death’ has often been quoted by the Muslim Brotherhood and their Pally branches, such as the PA which is thoroughly Muslim Brotherhood.

Ray Jarman says
I defy any Muslim, either Suni or Shia, to name one place in the New Testament where someone is told to go and kill others. In Luke 23:24, we are told that Jesus Christ said on the Cross, “Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” There is nothing like this in the un-holy book of Islam and I have said and will say that I defy one Muslim to find anywhere in the New Testament that one is told to kill. We are told to love even our enemy.

Ray, Muslims claim that Christians have “corrupted” their holy texts.
Kepha says
And they never explain how it is that I can pick up a Jewish translation of the TAnakh and, apart from a different order of books after Judges, recognize it as my own Old Testament; or, how I can recognize the New Testament in a version prepared by another Christian denomination–even though there has been no cross-confessional cooperation.

Absolutely agree, Kepha–this claim from Islam is obviously absurd.

Some of the “facts” that come out of the PA and the Pallies as a whole are more and more starting to resemble an episode of the “Twilight zone” or some science fiction B grade movie about alternate universes, where reality is turned on it’s head.

Palestinians refer to Jesus in terms reserved for jihad terrorists
………….
This is the most appalling thing, and has been around at least since the meretricious Reza Aslan’s book “Zealot”. This also makes no sense, even by Islamic standards, since Islam claims that Jesus was not crucified, but instead compelled some poor fool to die nameless in his place.
But consistency doesn’t matter in Islam–Muslims being able to claim Jesus, and to claim him as a bloody *Jihad terrorist*, trumps anything else here.
JCA Reid says
The Region was NOT called Palestine back in Jesus’ Day, but Judea. So, these “Palestinians” are in fact, “Judeans”. It was punishment for the Jewish Revolt/s. They changed the name to “Syria Palestina” to further punish the Jews. However, somehow, I don’t think the Arabs would like to be called “Judeans”…. too much like Jews.

It’s an Islamic campaign designed for 1 thing only.. Destroy the narrative that Christ has anything to do with Christianity through Judaism.
The inadequate Muslims psyche is wrapped tighter than Ilhan Omar’s hijab.. they’re hard up for the religious recognition they craved for so long, whereas the Arab felt God had ignored the children of Arabia. So what do impetuous children do? They make up a prophet, and a god, Allah, get jealous, hateful, and spiteful.. and act out in bizarre ways.. i.e. Jihad, Superiority, and narcissistic behavior.
