Blum's Bees #2

On the Honey Side

Rate this book
No one can ever have Keaton Meyer.

Least of all me.

The brooding construction manager is a man of myth and legend, rarely seen in the wild. Once upon a time, he was the star quarterback, the smiling homecoming king, royalty in our small town. Until tragedy struck. And then he disappeared completely.

Now he’s resurfaced, and I can’t keep my eyes off him.

He’s an island surrounded by lava, bound by a desert and guarded by dragons. I don’t stand a sunshine’s chance in a hailstorm.

Our siblings disagree and are out to prove it, nudging us into each other in the hopes we’ll fall. But with our town in tumult and the two of us firmly in the middle, nothing between us is easy. And when he’s faced with an impossible decision, I learn the truth of what I already knew.

No one can have Keaton Meyer.

And I have the broken heart to prove it.

I was the kid who stayed inside to read.

As a four-eyed nerd with a bad perm, I was no one’s dodgeball pick, but I had a lot of friends. Frodo and Bilbo, for instance. Kristy, Stacey, Claudia and the gang (iykyk). Once, in the third grade, I wrote a teen murder mystery inspired by Christopher Pike. On solving my mystery in twelve pages, I decided I was a terrible writer and should never, ever do that again.

Fortunately, I didn’t take my own advice.

I write romance for that feeling you get at the end, like you’re standing on top of a mountain with a backpack full of hundred dollar bills. I write romcoms because is there anything better than banter and grand gestures? I write because I love to create and I love words. I love books, and I love stretching my imagination. I love love, and if you do too, bring your coffee and have a seat. I think we’re gonna be friends.

This is my favorite kind of small town romance. One where the town feels alive and almost like a character itself. One with so much heart and emotion. I loved Daisy and Keaton’s story so much!

Daisy Blum is one of the ‘cursed’ Blum sisters. Now that her sister Jo has found love, maybe Daisy can too. She did once, a long time ago, but her longtime boyfriend passed away when they were teenagers and she’s been single ever since.

Keaton lost his wife years ago and aside from working the family business and spending time with his brothers, he’s been a bit of a recluse in town. Daisy has had a crush on Keaton for some time, but they’ve never spent much time together. Until they decide to join forces and help the homeless community that has overwhelmed their small town.
”I don't know how to do this, Daisy."
"Neither do I. Can we figure it out together?”

I loved the community aspect of the story, the family ties on both sides, and Daisy especially. She was just wonderful. It took Keaton more time to trust and come around- I wish he would have a little quicker but getting his perspective let us see what was really holding him back.

This can definitely be read as a stand-alone but I enjoy this world and these characters so much I would recommend checking out the others in this series! If you’re looking for a beautiful friends to lovers, small town romance that is sweet and charming with just enough emotion and angst pick this up!

"You´d be willing to fight Jo for me?"
"Darlin´, I´d fight dragons for you."

This is a two POV book, told by the POV´s of Daisy and Keaton.

Daisy is a cute FMC, she is the stereotypical "good girl", the sunshine character. Keaton is supposed to be her grumpy counterpart but it just didn´t always work for me. There were so many parts in the book where there is no tension at all. After he supposedly broke her heart and has a strictly no dating rule, I expected a bit more angst and tension. Nevertheless I liked their chemistry, they did make a cute couple.

I liked that we got to see Jo and Grant again in this book and how their relationship developed from the first one. I liked the newly introduced side characters, especially the Meyers brothers.

The plot was okay, I liked a few scenes that were really romantic, while I have to say others felt a bit unfinished. I liked the parts about the charity, although I feel like some of my questions were left unanswered after the book.

What I really loved is that the weird page format is gone in this one and its just "normal" pages as you know them. That was a huge plus.

Overall this was an okay read, I didn´t really love it but also didn´t really dislike it. I think I will still give the third book a chance once its been released.

Small town Staci Hart is just my FAVORITE!

I have truly fallen in love with this little Texan town and all the incredible characters Staci Hart has created within it. Every time I think I can't love it any more, she pulls me into another hilarious and beautiful love story that sweeps me off my feet.

Keaton Meyer is definitely a top fave Hart Hero. He is so broody and beastly and yet gentle like a teddy bear. My favorite! And the way he's so lost for Daisy just melts my heart. Even when he tries to fight it, thinking it would be better for both of them to not even bother, he can't help but watch her and care for her and protect her. SWOON!

I also have to add that the Blum sisters (and their cousin, Presley) have such a rich relationship that when I read their family scenes, I feel like I'm right there with them. I'm cracking jokes with Jo, planning how to save the world with Poppy, baking with Mama and quietly caring for everyone with Daisy. Hart completely outdid herself when she developed this entire town, and it's so real, I want to move there!

There were so many beautiful messages in On the Honey Side, from asking hard questions about homelessness and our role as a community to help, to the gut-wrenching forgiveness and difficulty of moving on after losing a loved one. I legit CRIED at the end of this ROM COM because I was so in my feels. The writing is just superb!

On the Honey Side is as heartwarming as it is hilarious. It blends the humor of matchmaking with the heat of a slow burn for a cocktail I can't resist and will beg for time and time again. Sweet, touching, and subtly steamy, it was the perfect romantic comedy to get lost in at the end of a hectic day. An easy five-star and must read of 2022!

4.5 'A new story' Stars!
ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

We are adding a new love story for the Blum sisters and it was just as good as the first one! Did I doubt that? Not for a single second because Staci Hart is giving us her best game at small town romances. The woman is doing a great job with her new series, focused on a Texas town and a honey farm owned by a mother and her three daughters. It was now time for Daisy and, of course, she lives a sweet and delicious love story you cannot miss!

So, On the Honey Side is the second installment in Staci’s Blum’s Bees series and it tells the story of Daisy Blum and Keaton Meyers. Both remember their painful past experiences with love, and especially Keaton is afraid to act on his attraction to Daisy. But what happens when they are forced to join forces and start a new construction project for the homeless people they have in their town? Those sparks are impossible to stop. A powerful connection starts between these two and they are not ready to fall head over heels in love all over again. Or is it that this time they found their one true love?

He was as I knew him to be— strong, stoic, dark. But there was something alive in him, like the bright edge of an eclipse that promised the sun would shine again.

As I said, I am not surprised because I knew Staci Hart would give us a wonderful love story for the next Blum sister. Daisy and Keaton are such incredible characters and I loved their interactions as friends, as a couple and together with their families. Their feelings for one another are so incredibly sweet and their chemistry.. trust me, it does not disappoint! This novel is also full of banter and emotions and I loved every second of reading it. So glad to be back with these characters and revisiting other ones we loved so much. And of course, I am always a happy girl when the couple gets a much-deserved happy ending!

I’d never felt such a feeling from something that made me so happy. And I’d never known that I would crave that ache all day, every day, even when she was in my arms.

Therefore, I am rating On the Honey Side with 4.5 STARS because I really enjoyed this new small-town romance in the series, with a couple so connected and with such sugary sweet and delightful moments between them. You know I also loved all the family interactions, it’s always so fun to have such a long list of amazing secondary characters! And that has me more than ready (and curious!) for the next and final installment in the series. I cannot wait to read Poppy’s story!

I only decided to read book 2 because of recommendations so I never read book 1 prior to it to get the backstory to those two MCs.

The book had potential in some parts but to be honest this was not a grumpy/sunshine book at all for me. He was sad and gloomy but not grumpy, in reality he was the ultimate cinnamon roll and was kind to everyone despite his lack of social skills. He was reserved and kept to himself but not because he hated everyone and everything.

Those social skills only diminished when his wife died in a car accident 5 years ago. Another thing I wondered in the beginning abut was rectified later on in the book was if the FMC would be just a second choice over his wife as he was with her since High School and they were together for maybe a decade before her death but we find out that what he feels for Daisy is beyond that and much deeper and he describes the feelings for his wife as safe and a sure thing so yeah.

There was the side plot about building a center for the homeless people in town and the issues with the mayor and others coming in between the buildings but it was a bit too much in terms of side plot. Though it did give us a blackmail scene and a reason to have the third act breakup between the MC's.

At the end of the day, I liked it enough to finish and give it three stars, but I didn't love it enough to continue with the series. I loved the couple and how angsty it was but everything else was just meh to me.

A feel-good, small town grumpy/sunshine romance full of heart and humor. I am obsessed with the Blum sisters, their flower and honey farm and their small Texas town of Lindenbach. The second in the series, this book features Daisy and Keaton, two people who have lost loved ones and haven't given love a second chance.

That all changes when their meddling siblings push them together and the two give in to the sizzling chemistry that literally sparks between them! (Hello sheltering from a storm in a barn scene!!) I also really enjoyed that this story focuses on the homeless population in the town and sees the community banding together to help build tiny homes to give people a hand up.

Conflict comes in the form of the Mayor and certain people who don't want to see their town overrun by outsiders they consider dangerous grifters. Will Daisy and Keaton be able to finally find their happily ever after?? The answer is definitely yes if their families have any say and I was there for the whole journey!!

Highly recommended for fans of Susannah Nix's King family series. I am so excited to see what's in store for Poppy in the final book coming later this month. I also fell in love with Keaton's brothers in this book and would love to see them get their own stories. Small town romance at its finest you don't want to miss this heartwarming, open door romance!!

I've read Staci Hart's books that are set in NYC, but Staci just may have won all my hearts and stars in her small town rom-coms. Especially these ones set in the small town of Lindenbach, Texas. The characters are a step above and the way they are fighting for their town against the money and evils of the corporate world is pretty darn realistic and she does it with flair! I fall more and more in love with the town, it's people and the richness of the characters.

On the Honey Side is Daisy Blum's story and I absolutely adore her. She lost her first and only love quite young. Dare their family call it the Blum curse? But Daisy doesn't let that get her down. With the love and support of her family, she will rise up and be happy with her mama and her sisters and protecting the integrity of their town. But trouble after trouble keeps being brought to Lindenbach and they keep running into roadblocks. Daisy has a huge heart and will help her community in any way she can. In the midst of building something special, it seems Daisy has found someone that is just as much a part of the town as the Blum family.

Keaton Meyer lost his wife and parents and feels the weight of the world on his shoulders. But he's also a genuinely good guy. He gives and gives without asking for anything in return. He wants the town to succeed and he will give his blood, sweat and tears to make sure it happens. He's a quiet and broody leader of his business and family, but will all his good deeds put them in the hole??

Keaton and Daisy are two characters that haven't allowed themselves any love or happiness after losing their loved ones. But when these two are forced together over and over by their family, you can feel their connection. You feel their pain but you also feel how badly they want to move on. Their love for their past lives and their love for their families and town is like an explosion of goodness. And when they realize what's in front of them? Steamy Perfection.

I adored this Grumpy-Sunshine small town rom-com. It will have you looking at some pretty serious relevant issues happening all over our country and how we can come together as a community. But at the heart of the story is family. It's always family in Lindenbach and I could live here forever in the world Staci has created. The characters are perfection, well fleshed out and matched up with the perfect counterparts. You'll laugh at the antics of the Meyer brothers and Blum sisters and enjoy the way they love one another. It's sweet, steamy and all kinds of fun, all mixed up with the small town politics.
I just can't get enough! Can't wait for Poppy's story, but I think I need the Meyer brothers stories too. Let's just live here forever!

Staci Hart always knows how to give me swoony butterflies, or I guess for this series happy little honey bees. Unapologetically optimistic, emotionally sincere, and laugh out loud fun, On the Honey Side is a sugary sweet but super important reminder that sometimes all we really do need is love…and that the way to truly living is to lean right into it. I just could not love these characters or their heartfelt stories more- they fill my heart right up and leave me full of hope and happiness.

I am ridiculously obsessed with the sass and heart of the notorious Blum sisters-the hilarious and adorable bee witches. Each are a true smalltown treasure with their endearing charm, resonant relatability, and quirky eccentricities. But I found myself so drawn from the beginning to the oldest Blum, Daisy. Her compassion, her sweetness, but also her responsibility- the ways in which she’s had to bear a lot of the emotional weight of her family’s losses….as well as her own. I loved getting to swim around in her big heart- because that’s where every word and action comes from, her heart. She’s a beautiful representation of compassion and care, or consideration and patience. But there was also a bit of sadness to her- surrounded by a loving family (and their bees) and a town full of lovable meddlers, she’s a bit lonely, a bit lost- because her own tragic losses have caused her to hit pause on herself, for a long time. Until she finds a new spark thanks to her connection with someone opposite of her in many ways, but underneath it all, their hearts carry the same scars.

And that’s what I loved so much about the chemistry between her and Keaton. The local stoic construction entrepreneur seems grumpy and detached, but like Daisy, he’s in a stasis, immobilized for so long by loss and responsibility. And what a beautiful, beautiful thing it was to watch them accept that they are worthy of living and loving, and to so sweetly and easily fall into each other. Not only are they adorable, but their love was quite restorative, peaceful even. And that’s what I always love so much about Staci Hart stories- sure, we have a smidge of drama, but ultimately she let’s love be natural and gentle. Keaton and Daisy seem like they’ve always been together, because loving each other is just that easy.

Not only do we get the charming Blums buzzing all around these two with their meddling, but we also get a whole new brood of lovable characters that I’m DESPERATELY hoping we get more of- the Meyer brothers. And we get to spend more time in this charming community full of kind hearted, community-oriented folks determined to do some good, despite the town’s few rotten eggs.

I can not wait to get our final bloom sister’s story- Staci has been teasing us with this seemingly unrequited romance since the start of this small town series, and I can’t wait to see our final Blum sister find her HEA. I could not love this heartwarming series more!

Tropes: small town, grump x sunshine, friends to lovers, meddling families, opposites attract, forced proximity

CW/TW: blackmail and threats, mentions of homelessness, mentions of death, divorce and a secondary character with a substance abuse problem

Review: This might be Staci Hart’s softest book yet and I absolutely loved it for that reason. It’s a grump x sunshine romance featuring the eldest of the Blum sisters (we met the whole gang in For Love or Honey ) and the eldest brother of the Meyer gang. Daisy and Keaton have such an incredible romance and one that I spent most of my time swooning over. While their romance and love story may be soft, like with her other books set in the small town of Lindenbach, Staci tackles some pretty hard topics. I love that these stories aren’t just about the two leads, but about the people around them as well, because it really adds to the flavour of the story and gives their romance a little more of an oomph. As someone who’s read most of Staci Hart’s books, I have to say that these small town romances are a whole new favourite and I hope we get loads more!

Daisy Blum, like her sister, works on the family farm and helps around town as much as possible. Shes sunshine in every way possible and a genuinely good person. Daisy is also absolutely and completely gone for Keaton Meyer. Much like Daisy, Keaton is constantly doing things to help out the town he calls home. Along with his brothers, Keaton runs a construction company that provides services to all the residents of the town and anybody else who needs his help. In short, Daisy and Keaton are a match made in heaven. Except, both of them are holding onto the struggles and traumas of their past—they both lost someone they loved and getting over them has been hard. But when they find themselves in close proximity for a long period of time, all these feelings and desires they’ve been ignoring suddenly come to the surface and after a point, it seems silly to ignore what they want.

“Everything abandoned deserves a new story.”

There were so many things about their relationship that I adored. It’s sort of a slow burn, mostly because they’re around each other so much and the sexual tension felt like it was going to make them both combust a lot earlier than they did. But I loved the build up and how they slowly drew each other in. I also have to give credit where it’s due—the Blum and Meyer families are so nosy that they kept finding all kinds of situations where they would be able to toss these two together. I definitely appreciated Daisy being upfront and calling Keaton out on his cautiousness, because I think it’s sometimes important to just tell it like it is. There’s also some push and pull which made for interesting ‘will they, won’t they’ situations that had me giggling a few times.

I feel like I’ve mentioned this before, but there’s something almost poetic about the way Staci Hart writes her steamy scenes. You feel what they’re feeling and going through and it’s not just about the sex, it’s about the emotions these characters experience. I loved every minute of it and just kept wanting more. Because their relationship takes time to build, so does their sexual relationship and I really loved watching them go through those motions together.

Like with For Love or Honey, there’s a really great secondary storyline running through the book. Homelessness is something that we all see on a daily basis—no matter where you live—and the way it’s talked about and tackled in this story really made my heart full. I loved the effort and the passion these characters poured into the changes they were making. It also really makes you sit up and pay attention to what you are doing to make a difference to the homeless situation around the world.

And with all the little hints that were dropped through the course of this book, I cannot wait to see what happens for Poppy and I also hope we get some stories for the Meyer brothers, because they’ve got so much going on and I am beyond curious to see where it all goes!

Thanks to Staci Hart for generously providing me with an advance copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

4 STARS

Staci Hart packs all the feel-good small town goodness in this novel.

What I loved:
1. Keaton and Daisy are the sweetest couple. Both of them are earnest, hard-working, kind and honest. They connect through their loss loved ones and love of their hometown.
2. I loved how Staci talked about grief and moving on and how losing people you love changes you.
3. Sophie was the cutest secondary character.
4. “Everything abandoned deserves a new story” - this whole sentiment on its own made me feel all emotional.
5. Great cast of characters.
6. Amazing writing.

There isn’t anything I disliked. This is just personal preference. Keaton was a bit too cinnamon roll for me, and Daisy was really sweet. Their romance reflects that. I would still wholeheartedly recommend this book.

Daisy's a Blum. Yeah, one of those Blums, the sisters who made a pact after Daisy lost her first love when they were young. But now that her sister has seemed to break the curse that's been cast on them, perhaps Daisy can find love, too? And who better than with Keaton, the man who knows loss, too. But she'll need to show a lot of persistence to get past his walls. Working together on a plan to help the homeless in their small town just may show these two that loss can be moved on from, and that the heart is big enough for more than one love.

Keaton has been scarcely seen around town since losing his wife. He's been quietly working, taking care of his business and brothers, and hasn't really let himself feel much other than his grief, and even that he tries to block. He has so much on his shoulders that it feels as if he's drowning. Then he starts working with Daisy Blum on a project to help the homeless that have recently been inhabiting their small town, and her good girl ray of sunshine spirit is getting to him. Oh sure, he had already noticed how pretty she was, but now it's much more than that. Is it really possible for him to move on? To find love again? He sure hopes so, but he'll need to leapfrog over the obstacle one man presents him with first. For himself. For Daisy. For love.

I absolutely fell in love with this beautiful story! Both Daisy and Keaton had so much pain in their lives and to read as they finally found happiness and love with each other was so heartfelt, so sweet. I wanted to wrap them both up in big hugs, especially Keaton, and I cheered as they fought to get to the other side, the happy side that they both so deserved. The characters that make up this small town they live in are quirky, loving, and the best kind of support anyone could ask for. Can't wait for Daisy's sister Poppy to find love next!

I have not met a Staci Hart book that I didn't like. On the Honey Side is the second book in this series and I loved it just as much as the first book. Daisy Blum helps on her family's bee farm and has not had the nerve to date after becoming a widow. Keaton works in construction, has three brothers and is also a widow. He hasn't thought about being with another woman since his wife died.. These two come together along with their siblings to make homes for the homeless. They end up bonding and forming a relationship. When tragedy strikes, Daisy and Keaton will need guidance from their families to get through it.
I highly recommend this series. I love the Blum sisters and the supporting characters. This book is a small town romance that will leave you wanting more.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

POV: first-person, both main characters - Daisy and Keaton

Characters:
Daisy Mae Blum: the "good girl" and eldest of the Blum sisters; resigned to being alone due to the Blum Women's curse and endured much loss at a young age.

Keaton Meyer: widower, owns a construction business with his brothers. The brooding and very protective man with a heart of gold.

Writing and Plot: The writing is clear, concise, and comedic at the right moments. The story is still set in Lindenbach and continues where For the Love of Honey left off. When readers left Book 1, the town was divided by the "Us" versus "Them" group, with the former wanting to do some revitalizing and radical changes to the town wherein the latter was resisting. Not only is there a conflict within the town, but Daisy and Keaton suffered from self-defeatist conflicts - refusing possible HEA since both of them suffered huge losses that cost their hearts. Good thing Daisy and Keaton got over their "awkwardness" and denial to create a sweet story. It was a lot of "feel-good moments" as Daisy made it easy for Keaton to start giving him a chance on love. But their path was not smooth, and something huge happened near the end that tore them apart.

Likes:
Community and Empathy
The topic of "community" and "empathy" is the main drivers of the story, aside from the romantic elements. I am impressed with Lindenbach's community from the start of Friends With Benedicts but how the whole town rounded up and acted as a unit to support the "crazy things" in the book is fantastic! I think of the Filipino word "bayanihan" to describe this sense of cooperation and communal unity. This quote says it all:-
"But in the end, it's not about how we feel so much as it is what we do about it."

Multi-layered characters
Daisy and Keaton were balancing family duty while curbing their wants of being in a relationship.
I think my most favorite Blum sister would have to be Daisy with her ease, poise, and contemplative personae. She is kind, wise, and a great listener. It's not to say that the other sisters aren't, but when she is with Keaton, she exposes him and makes readers see the real Keaton - under all the brooding and complicated facade that he shows the world.

Finding comfort with friends
I am happy to see the ease between Daisy and Keaton. Both suffered a loss out of their control, so they understood each other better than anyone. Their shared pain and experience enabled them to bond at a level that did not come out forced, and they knew when to push and back up at appropriate moments. This fragile relationship is their second chance of bringing them back to the living. It melted my heart seeing it unfold as it did.

Meddling (yet good intention) family members
I liked how Daisy and Keaton's siblings and family members plotted and pushed the two of them together. They see both worthy of each other even before Daisy and Keaton realize it. It was endearing and hilarious at the same time to have siblings who support and plot for both of them to be together. It wasn't an instant scheme since it built up with many scenes in the book - concise and calculative that I enjoyed, like the subtle hints, light banter, and later - the outspoken "reality checks," and heartfelt confessions helped with a "hitch" in Daisy and Keaton's budding relationship.

Returning past characters
A few characters from the Small Town series, like Friends with Benedicts, will lend a hand to the Meyers and Blums family in the author's authentic cameo style. Readers will get to see Presley Hale and Sebastian Vargas, who helps the new couple solve a few "problems."

Overall, On the Honey Side is a sweet, slow-burn, angsty yet rewarding read. It has most, if not all, the elements of a long-lasting relationship with slow-burn intensity, magnetic connection, complementary strengths of the main characters. The pace is perfect for the characters' personalities, making the story more believable and genuine.

Tropes: brooding-sunshine chemistry, friends-to-lovers, Band of Brothers (Siblings), romantic comedy, second chances, slow-burn intense chemistry

Favorite Quotes:

Sighting Keaton in the wild was a rare and unheard of event. But when my gaze did happen to be blessed by his visage, I lost all higher function of my brain and body, leaving me staring like a fool at a man no one might ever have, least of all me.

I’d seen him just a few days ago on Main Street, but for the stretching of time he inspired, you’d think I’d never seen him in my life. He looked like he’d walked out of a Chevrolet commercial for the manliest truck in their inventory. Or like a social media thirst trap on his way to chop wood with no shirt on.

A few of the more judgmental women of our town circled the block and tried to look disdainful. They only managed to look thirsty.

He has the IQ of a koala.” My brows drew together. “Are koalas dumb?” “They have the smallest brains of any mammal, eat food they can’t digest, and they carry chlamydia. They’re dumb as shit,” she answered.

I flung myself at him, knocking both of us to the ground as he caught me. Our lips crashed together with the rest of us, and once the surprise ebbed, the kiss was a pliant possession, a sweet forever, a hundred thousand million yeses with a chorus of angels singing behind us.

My Review:

I adored these lovely characters as much as I reveled in their cleverly amusing tale. Staci Hart is such an agile and witty storyteller, I fall right into her delightfully flippant, crisply written, sparkly books and don’t want to resurface. The characters are accessible, knowable, and so well constructed I feel I would recognize them if I met them in person. I am definitely hooked and eager for more of the same.

4.5 STARS!

Once again Staci has out done herself! With this precious cover and catchy title, On The Honey Side was more than I expected– it was heartbreaking and heartfelt. You see first hand the grief and loss both the heroine and hero endure, which is what ultimately brings them closer together.

Daisy Mae is the oldest of the Blum sisters. She's kind and sweet, and not as wild and outspoken like her other sisters. She's been dealt with a bad hand but she's endured it and is more resilient because of it.

Keaton was just the perfect grump. He was selfless and had such a big heart of gold. However, his biggest flaw was his fear that he could never quite shake.

Their relationship didn't come easy as Keaton fought it every step of the way *hello, slow burn*. But when Keaton and Daisy finally come together... it's beautiful, explosive, and you could tell they were meant to be.

This story had a little of everything–romance, community, family, laughter, pain, and finding happiness. On The Honey Side was just the perfect read, wholesome and full of small town feels. I cannot wait for Poppy's book but also Staci, (I'm begging you) PLEASE give those Meyer brothers the books they deserve *I need*.

4.5 Oh, How I Love This Series Stars
* * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free-A Quick Review
This continuing series by Staci Hart is a true delight. It started with a fight of power between one of the Blum sisters and the all-knowing developer. Little did either realize their conflicts would end in the most fun way.

Now we are there for the second Blum sister to be the focus of the one man she thinks would NEVER-EVER-BE-CONNECTED to her!

This is the tale that takes us through all the steps of two people who soon discover they might have more in common than they thought...the love of their community, their want to do what is right for those who need a helping hand, and an understanding that maybe they are two of a kind.

What a delight.

Ahh, this book felt like home. I felt all those warm and fuzzy feels getting lost in this heartfelt story. It wrapped me in the coziest of hugs and it was exactly what I needed.

When it comes to Staci Hart it is 100% guaranteed she’ll bring those feel good feelings, endless smiles, and especially the laughs with her romantic comedies. And it so happens that with On the Honey Side all those things were tripled.

Ever since the first book I fell hard for the Blum sisters. Each uniquely and unequivocally themselves. They bring this energy and you can’t help but fall in their spell. And with each book each of their personalities are showcased and you get to see them shine. And oh boy did Daisy Blum shine so bright with her book.

Daisy is the oldest of the Blum sisters, she’s responsible and hardworking, and does what is told of her without thinking twice. She has the biggest heart and is caring, kind, good, and sweet. Even though life has thrown some curveballs she hasn’t let that overtake her life, and because of that hurt she’s endeared she deserves nothing but all the happiness.

Keaton Meyer stole my heart. How dare he make me feel the way he did. He’s been through tragedy that has changed him and boy did it struck me and made me emotional. He’s so selfless and never thinking about himself or his happiness just making sure to keep the family business afloat. Honestly Keaton deserves all the good in the world, that man is just everything.

Daisy and Keaton were magic. If any two people deserved happiness it was them. They were made for each other and they made each other better. They were so good together and had great chemistry. I loved them, I loved them, I loved them.

On the Honey Side was a heartwarming and beautiful story about finding love and happiness again. It brought the wholesomeness and charm of a small town and a community of people that showed up to help one of their own when needed. I love this series and I can’t wait for Poppy’s book. I really hope *fingers crossed* that we get books for Keaton’s brothers because I neeeeeeeed!

“Everything abandoned deserves a new story.” “Otherwise, what’s the point to all this?”

On The Honey Side is a heartwarming, small-town romance that will leave readers with all the feels.

On The Honey Side follows the story of Keaton and Daisy. Once upon a time, Keaton was on top of the world, but when tragedy strikes his entire world gets turned upside down. Now, Keaton is just a shell of the man he once was and is just trying to keep his business afloat. The last thing he has time for is Daisy. But, when fate throws them together for a community project, an undeniable spark presents itself to them. Will Daisy be the spark to bring Keaton back to life and the man he once was? There’s only one way to find out….

Overall, I thought this book was a quick and easy read. The characters were easy to relate to and connect with. Daisy and Keaton were both no strangers to loss and heartbreak. And while Keaton’s past turned him into this broody and grump of a man, somehow, Daisy remained a ray of sunshine who held onto hope. I loved the slow burn of their story, seeing them both take chances and overcome their pasts.

Something that really stood out to me in this book was the author wasn’t afraid to go after the tough issues. Not only does this book deal with heartbreak and loss, but it also deals with the really heavy and hard issues surrounding homelessness and the way it affects a community.

There’s a lot to love and enjoy about On The Honey Side. On The Honey Side is smartly written and entertaining. The characters are wonderful and easy to connect with. I adored the slow-burning romance and drama that followed. I loved the small-town that Daisy and Keaton were a part of and how the town came together to help and support one of their own.

If you love Grumpy Sunshine, Small-Town, Second Chance Romances, you won’t want to miss On The Honey Side. I can’t wait to see what this author will have in store for us next.

I just absolutely adore this series. It is the perfect small town romance series. That Blum family is just perfection. I want to have my own bee farm after these books.

I am convinced Staci Hart lives somewhere near me. Only someone from Texas especially south Texas could write this so perfectly. Small town Texas is a different world.

Daisy is truly the sweetest, kindest loving character out there. She is the person you want on your side, she is the friend that gives great hugs, she is that girl that can turn the world on with her smile. I am so happy she gets her HEA bc she deserves every bit of it.

Keaton is a the strong burly silent type. He takes everything on him and doesn’t let anyone in. But when you shine like daisy there is no way you can avoid those rays. She gets under his skin. She never pushes. She just is there for him.

When they combust they definitely combust. I mean hot wet barn sex is a new fave for me. Holy hell. Fire.

I can’t wait to find out what happens next in Lindenbach. I really hope the Meyers brothers get their stories too.

The brooding construction manager, Keaton, is a man of myth and legend, rarely seen in the wild. Once upon a time, he was the star quarterback, the smiling homecoming king, royalty in our small town. Until tragedy struck. And then he disappeared completely.
Now he’s resurfaced, and I can’t keep my eyes off him. But with our town in tumult and the two of us firmly in the middle, nothing between us is easy.

Another terrific small town rom-com by Staci Hart. Her small town novels are so funny. Keaton is broody and grumpy but also soooo sweet. Daisy is such a sweet and lovable character. It's so lovely to see them falling for each other. I also like how it handles the issues of the homeless and our community's responsibility to help others. It's one of the funniest and most touching novel that I read so far this year. :)

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

I'm just turning into a Staci Hart fan-girl. I can't fight it. just love her writing. It's always well-written and steamy and has great characters.

𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘 is a bit more feelsy than her recent writing, but I loved every page. If you love grumpy + sunshine then you will love Keaton and Daisy.

Keaton's big heart was broken years ago and he retreated from life. He couldn't face the prying questions of his neighbors and friends. He is now a grumpy loner, but his sweet and giving heart shine through his standoffish exterior. I love him so hard! All the heart-eyes. And Daisy has also had a heartbreak, but is still a beam of sunshine. She is caring and sweet.

Keaton and Daisy have chemistry for DAYS and your kindle may overheat. Seriously, I cannot with the hot woodshop sex. *fans face*

𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘 is so much more than this love story. It has the other Blum sisters (who are hilarious and wonderful) and great small-town characters as well as complex family dynamics. This book covers loss and healing so well. I felt myself tearing up a few times at the beautiful words Keaton and Daisy spoke about loving someone only to lose them to tragedy.

This book also touches on the homeless population, sacrifice, and family obligations. But this book isn't too very heavy. There are plenty of sweet moments and funny parts.

I just freaking loved 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘 and it's one you need on your TBR. Definitely start with the first book in this series because that makes this one even better, although this can also stand on its own really well.

RATING:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
STEAM LEVEL: Rated R / 1-4 descriptive sex scenes, may have harsh language.
TRIGGERS: Past death of spouse, past death of parent, substance abuse (side character)
FEELS-O-METER: 3/5 - So many feels you might tear up a little.

This is a terrific second chance at romance with ALL THE FEELS. Daisy and Keaton haven’t dated before, it’s not that kind of second chance. They have both loved and lost, in the most profound sense of the word. They are wary of ever having another partner. But the pull is too strong, and then there are their meddling siblings who cannot stop pushing them together!

This is a wonderfully romantic story that will have you laughing and crying while you are rooting for these two to prevail against all the odds. These two have such amazing chemistry and it is palpable as they spend more and more time together.

But Hart definitely writes books with heart, and they don’t just have their own internal reservations to get over. Oh no, the there are external forces at work and societal issues to battle. Not gonna lie, this one had me reaching for the tissues multiple times!

Great book and I can’t wait for another installment from this series. We have one more sister to get an HEA for!

Small town romances written by Staci Hart are some of my favorite. On The Honey Side gave me all the feels I needed and I enjoyed every moment I spent reading Daisy and Keaton’s love story.

She’s the sunshine to his little black rain cloud but when you scratch the surface of these characters, you realize that she is hiding some serious pain, and he would literally bleed for the people he loves, namely his niece, brothers and ultimately the town he grew up in.

No two people deserve to find love (again) more than these two and watching them hover around each other until giving into the their shared chemistry is the only option, was one heck of a ride. From this point on, I could not put this book down. Their happily ever after was everything I hoped for and left me with a humongous smile on my face!

I’m giving On The Honey Side the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

This is the second book in the Blum sister trio. I will say, this story captivated me because both Daisy and Keaton had so much emotional baggage, I was drawn to their story.

This has all the feels of small-town, mixed with tragedy and a chance to find love again, for both characters.

Hart does a good job giving you little glimpses of each sister within these books, but I didn’t know how much pain Daisy had endured in her life until I opened up this book.

I enjoyed Keaton and Daisy’s dynamic and loved how Keaton knew how to love again but didn’t quite open up to it.

If you love small-town romance, this one won’t disappoint.

I loved and thoroughly enjoyed Daisy and Keaton’s story. It's pretty sweet and so much fun to read. But it's also kind of emotional in terms of their backstory and what they've been through. It wasn't easy for them to move on after that. But maybe that's why they empathise with each other and fit together. Even I can feel a sense of rightness seeing them together. And I loved their families and how they not-so-subtly try to matchmake these two. It was so heartwarming to see that they want these two to be happy.

Readers are really going to fall in love with Daisy and Keaton.

Both have such painful pasts, both take on the weight of things they shouldn't have to shoulder alone...and both grin and bear it with grace. Neither knew what they were missing out on until life managed to toss them together.

Pain, joy, heartbreak, love...all of it's in here. And this town, so divided...I love a good small town romance. So much good and so much misguidance, as small towns are wont to have.

I really love the Meyer/Blum families. So similar, so right together.

Really heartwarming and uplifting read.
