Hamas terrorizes a nation with jihad rocket attacks and attacks on civilians. It has international support. The National Socialist Order is an insignificant group of potbellied LARPing sociopaths, or else FBI agents trying to validate a “far-right” threat. Australia only listed the Nazis as terrorists along with Hamas in order to try to avoid enraging its Muslim population, among whom are numerous Hamas supporters, and to avoid giving the impression that the Australian government is “Islamophobic.”
Meanwhile, calling these Nazis “far-right,” the same term that is used for people (including me) who aren’t remotely Nazi and are simply enunciating unwelcome truths, shows how the term is employed as a weapon to stigmatize, demonize, and marginalize all those whom the elites hate. Lump us in with some Nazi idiots, and the job is done.
“Australia to list Hamas and U.S. far-right group as terrorists,” Associated Press, February 17, 2022:
Australia on February 17 said it had added the U.S.-based far-right extremist group National Socialist Order and planned to add the entirety of the Palestinian group Hamas to its list of outlawed terrorist organisations as concerns rise about radicalised children.
The National Socialist Order, formerly known as Atomwaffen Division, joins Islamist groups Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and Hurras al-Din in being added to the list, Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews said.
Hamas’ military wing, Hamas’ Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, has been listed as a terrorist organisation since 2003.
The National Socialist Order, which advocates a global “race war” and the collapse of democratic societies, joined the list on February 17, bringing the number of outlawed groups to 28.
The two Islamist groups, both active in the Syrian civil war, will be listed in April.
Mr. Andrews had written to State Governments to finalise the listing of Hamas as soon as possible.
“The views of Hamas and the violent extremist groups listed today are deeply disturbing, and there is no place in Australia for such views,” Mr. Andrews said.
“It’s vital that our laws target not only terrorist acts and terrorists, but also the organizations that plan, finance and carry out these acts,” she added.
The National Socialist Order is only the third far-right group to be designated by Australia as a terrorist organisation.
The Base, a neo-Nazi white supremacist group formed in the United States in 2018, was listed in December and the British-based Sonnenkrieg Division was listed in August….

Hamas espouses Islam. Islam is the source of its murder policies.
It is taking a very long time for the penny to drop in Western governments.

Well gft.
since they have said this about hamas, perhaps c.a.i.rats org can go on the list too. After all, the “holy land foundation” included members of c.a.i.rats org and they were found guilty of funding hamas and its terror actions. “Un-indicted co-conspirators” means they were working a conspiracy, but were not indicted for it…and the reason they were not is due to “bo” calling off their part of the terror-funding trial.

I’m sure that listing the far right groups along with hamas would have been to try to show the Muslims that the Australian Government was not anti-Islam. That group Hizb ut Tahrir is the one that gets quite a bit of attention out here in Australia. They aren’t banned and they seem to have an annual meeting and say things which are an outrage (maybe things like Australia should be under sharia law or such crap) and people become outraged and call for them to be banned because they are banned in many countries apparently. I suspect that the Government lets Hizb ut Tahrir stay out in the open and keeps a check on who attends their meetings as potential terrorists, etc. They probably should ban that organisation. In Australia, we are heading for an election, probably in May,, and the left wing Labor Party are the favourites to win, which will be bad news. Mind you, they were favourites at the last election and got beaten. It was bit like when Trump won in the USA and there was a lot of hilarious whining from the left wingers who all expected Labor to win and were devastated as election results came through and they realised that their mob had been beaten..

The right-wing US group addition makes me wonder about appeasement of China, as Aussies currently seem to be paying a very steep price for defying China. Or is that my long distance misinterpretation?
tim gallagher says
No, I don’t think this decision is related to our problems with China, Hoi Polloi. I think that the Government probably thought, well, if we are going to get tough with the Muslims and Hamas, then we had better be even handed and also get tough with some right wing group, who I have never heard of before. China is a huge issue here in australia, a really big problem, and miles ahead of any concern with islam. China have been running a trade war, shutting out many Australian producers, such as our wine producers, ever since the Government made some comment about the Covid virus. Our problem is that we are so dependent on our trade with China, mainly we sell them iron ore and coal, that China almost owns us, or atleast can damage our economy enormously, until we can find other markets and try to break free of China. Our relations and problems with China have most people pretty worried, including me, down here. I think all countries in our area of the world, such as the Philippines, Japan, South Korea and so on, all are extremely worried about the gigantic bully, China, and what might happen in the future.

Agreed, Tim.
Hoi Polloi says
I’m sure you’re right. It’s just that I wondered if choosing an unknown right-wing group specifically from the US to balance the challenge to islam was kind of a nod to China. Don’t want to be too US-centric, even as I probably am doing just that. It’s on my mind as I am reading increasingly of challenges to Xi’s leadership from within China in the wake of financial issues and his, they say, increased virulence toward the US, possibly in an effort to distract from internal problems.
The courage of the Australian government (lacking in so many US government figures) in laying covid at China’s doorstep has been very costly. I am concerned for its citizens. We loved Aussies and their country when we visited.

Hoi Polloi, you could be right in your reading of the situation. Most people here in Australia have woken up to what a threat the giant bully, China, and its vicious regime, represents. I am over 70 years age, so i am not all that bothered about what happens, however, I have said to many people here in Australia, and most, across the whole political spectrum, have tended to agree with me, that, if I was a young person, I would be quite concerned about whether Australia is going to be a safe place to live in future years (say, in 10 or 20 years time). I see China as being a country which has been waiting for a long time to strut around as a really big power and it is going to bully many countries in our part of the world. As you mention, Australia is a great place to live, with fairly laid back people and great weather most of the time, but, although it is a big land area, with only 25 million people (and it is so dry a continent that it can probably never support a very big population), it is a major mismatch with China’s billion plus people. In the news here this morning the lead story was that Australia’s Defence Department have launched a complaint about a Chinese naval vessel shining a laser at an Australian air force plane, endangering the pilot, in Australian waters. Seems like just another little attempt to piss us off. Usual bullying behaviour .

The NAZIs are/were classic “Left” operation. They just used different tools than the Communist. In fact, when one looks at most “Left” groups today they are using the same techniques as the NAZIs and are basically NAZIs. Remember, in English NAZI is “National Socialist German Workers Party”. Much of their ideology came from the “Left” in the US. Also remember, the “Left” will claim other “Left” groups are part of the “Right” if the “Left” group is inconvenient to the “Left” ideology and agenda. This often occurs when a “Left” group is too honest and will get people to notice the real consequence of the “Left”‘s agenda.
As for HAMAS, and all other Islam organizations, they are part of a theocratic government designed to force people to worship the moon god Hubal. The Arabic word “allah, a contraction of the Arabic phrase “al ilah” means “the god”. Islam is not a religion but is a government that has been waging non-stop war for 1400 years. People need to learn Islam real history and reading a Qur’an is worth while. A ISBN of one of the ones I have read is 978-0-913321-01-0. It has both the English and Arabic.

Islam is not a religion but is a government:
theocratic government:
A theocracy governs in accordance with religious law.
Islam IS a religion, and theocracy is the method of governing Allah’s slaves.
Note, too, slam is an extremely conservative ideology (i.e. inflexible).

The only reason the Morrison government has done this is so they can chest beat in the lead up to the next election about what a great job they are doing for the security of Australia.
This also attempts to draw attention away from the high levels of corruption, incompetence, mismanagement and utter arrogance of the government
The other thing is this draws attention away from the “religious discrimination bill” that Scott Morrison aka SCROTO is trying to push through parliament as a way to protect his extremist Christian views.

Australia lists Hamas and U.S. National Socialist group as terrorists
……………
Well, good. I *hate* neo-Nazis–but it is notable that this group, despite being cited as a terrorist group on several sites, that I cannot find a *single* case of violence that they have actually been linked to. Nasty people, no doubt–but can they be compared to the genocidal Hamas?

when will the west realize the grave danger and vomit islam out including the muslims
a time line should be put until the total ban of islem will start
there should be an ordered program allowing the muslims in the west to sell their properties and move to their prefered muslim country
when the due date comes islam in the west to the local residents will be banned and considered a punnishable crime with quick exile punnishemet , no mosques and no muslims organisations no cair and so on
this is the only way to save the west from islam
any other solution is a sad joke

I notice a common fallacy (re: U.S. First Amendment) on a news program this eveining:
“You have the right to practice your religion.”
People in America have no right to carry out religious practices which violate U.S law (no punitive amputations or stonings, thankfully)
We have the right to believe.
