50 days till 50

In 50 days, I'll turn 50 years old. In honor of that, I want to talk with 50 women before my birthday.

I want to talk with you.

I want to hear your stories, how you’re doing.
What you’re up against.
What gets you up in the morning and what keeps you up at 2 am.
What gets you through.

I want to know why your heart aches. Why your body hurts.
What it's like to be disconnected from yourself, and what brings you back.
What you're sure of and what it’s like to live with uncertainty.

If any of these questions speak to you, hit reply and let’s set up a time to talk.

This is project is personal and from experience.

The last decade of my life has been the hardest by far.
It’s also been beautiful. But truth be told, I couldn’t have imagined some of the things that happened:

I got divorced.
I lost a child.
I sold my business and struggled with who I was outside of that old identity.
I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder.
I got married.
I moved 5 times.
I had 4 surgeries, including a hysterectomy after a cancer diagnosis.
I am still getting to know this medical-menopausal body and how to care for her.

Only by the grace of having story-holders in my life, I am still here. The women in my life -- the healers, wise women, mystics and sages I am lucky enough to call friends -- who sat with me and listened and didn't try to fix anything, because they knew they couldn't.

Without them, I honestly don’t know if I would have made it through such bleak and utter darkness.

Gratefully, through sharing my stories, I have had the privilege of hearing the stories of others. It's this vulnerability and sharing that remind us that we are woven together. That we (miraculously) are not alone (this is the lesson of my life).

Because when we’re in it, it can seem like we are utterly alone. I’ve heard so many women say that they don’t want to burden others with their drama, they don’t want to be a downer, or they don’t feel like they can stop caring for everyone else long enough to feel their feelings.

Yet, again and again, I have heard from those same women, that through sharing, through being able to voice the unspeakable, they have felt seen. For maybe the first time in a long time. And when we are seen, we know we are not alone.

You don’t have to have a big story.
This is about connecting, relating and our shared womanhood. Even if we’ve never met, we have more in common than not, and it's pretty much a guarantee that we'll discover some magical, kismet connection.

This is not a sales call or a coaching call. It’s simply a chance to connect, share a story or two, and possibly leave feeling seen, cared for, known.

If you want to participate, hit reply to this email, and I will send you my calendar to book a 30-45 minute call. I’d love to be with you.

There are 50 spots and 50 days. Let's do it!

In connection,
Michelle
