China has been so repressive to the Uighurs that the whole world is disposed to see the Muslims of China solely as victims, and to speak out for their rights. If the reports coming out of China are true, the Communist regime has gone beyond all reasonable bounds and committed numerous unpardonable atrocities in its treatment of the Uighurs. This has led many, if not most, people to ignore the jihad threat of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement/Turkistan Islamic Party (ETIM/TIP), or to claim that the Chinese authorities have grossly exaggerated this threat. It is, however, possible that both things are true: that the Chinese have been brutally repressive, and that some of the Uighurs are engaged in jihad terror activity that those who are concerned over the treatment they have received would be unwise to ignore.
“Chinese envoy urges world to pay close attention to terrorist threats posed by ETIM/TIP,” Xinhua, February 10, 2022:
UNITED NATIONS, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) — A Chinese envoy on Wednesday called on the international community to pay close attention to the terrorist threats posed by the East Turkestan Islamic Movement/Turkistan Islamic Party (ETIM/TIP).
“We call on the Security Council and the international community to pay close attention to the active and developing terrorist threats posed by ETIM/TIP, to cut off its connection with ISIS and erase the space for it to breed and do harm,” Zhang Jun, China’s permanent representative to the United Nations, told the Security Council briefing on Threats to International Peace and Security Caused by Terrorist Acts.
Citing the secretary-general’s report, which points out that ISIS continued to recruit from ETIM/TIP, Zhang said that China “is deeply concerned” about this.
“ETIM is a terrorist organization designated by the 1267 Committee of the Council. It has carried out many inhumane terrorist attacks in Xinjiang, China, resulting in mass casualties of innocent people,” said Zhang.
The ambassador said that in recent years, this organization has spread and grown in Central Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and other regions, adding that the report released by the monitoring group of the 1267 Committee earlier this month further points out that there are 1,000 to 3,000 ETIM/TIP fighters in Syria.
“They not only launched attacks on the ground, but also recruited, trained and sent terrorists for terrorist attacks in Central Asian countries and China. The ETIM fighters in Afghanistan even clamored to ‘return to Xinjiang for Jihad,'” he said.
Speaking about the effort to curb the new wave of terrorism, the ambassador said that ISIS is still active in regions such as Iraq, Syria, and Libya, and is spreading at a faster pace in many parts of Africa.
“In Afghanistan, the withdrawal of foreign troops has created a vacuum in the security situation, and such chaos has provided an opportunity for terrorist forces to expand their presence. We hoped the Taliban will fulfill relevant counter-terrorism commitments to prevent Afghanistan from again becoming the breeding ground of terrorism,” said Zhang….

The end of China is near, only 10% of young people are getting married, and most young women there are not interested in having a boyfriend.
The same in South Korea,Japan and Taiwan. It is similar to China’s: 1.3 .
A very small young population means an economic collapse by 2050 or 2060.In spite of artificial intelligence.
Infidel says
Except that China knows how to force its people to step up the breeding just like they knew how to stop breeding. Also, they have to figure out what they want. They currently have a food shortage and are importing food from their enemies, like US, Vietnam, India… If all those breeding-age girls, whose database they have, are turned on to breed, their food shortage will be even more acute
But there’s nothing stopping them from legalizing the rape of all those girls, or passing a law requiring them to marry and start breeding
Doomer says
Yes,they are capable of forcing women to breed. The Communists there are evil: they kill 100 MILLION sharks a year for a bowl of shark fin soup.
All the fish near their coast have been killed,so they send ships by the hundreds to catch all the fish in the ocean, destroying everything.
There are 50 MILLION More Men than Women, just like in India. That worsens the involuntary celibate / forever alone / true forced loneliness population of men.

This I have seen with my own eyes. China is a wreaking ball to the sea. Profiteers without mercy.

Men that might be willing to go to war for breeding age women?

Hello Roberta:
I forgot to add that 90% of all sharks in the world have been killed, just for having shark-fin soup. They cut the fin and THROW away the shark, into the ocean.

Unfortunately true. Islam is a political system masquerading as a religion, and the Chinese government is a Communist dictatorship, and they have the guns. They didn’t tolerate lady liberty in Tiananmen Square in 1989, and they’re not tolerating Islam in 2022

Do read that central Asian (Islam) countries are looking at their neighbor China for help to stabilise.
In Europe, where I live, they like Islam management on the work floor in factories. These guys can make you really feel like shit. European elites like this of course, like USA elites.
My bet is on the Chinese, that do not like to deliver their own people to this.
Infidel says
I happen to believe that both things are true: that the Chicoms are committing genocide, not only of Uyghurs but also of Tibetans and Mongols (in inner Mongolia). The world can’t wait for the Chicoms to get their version of 1991
On the Uyghurs, the solution should be to expel them to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, instead of having extradition treaties w/ every muslim country. Those 2 countries are ethnically Turk and have minorities in Xinjiang, and could easily take their brethren as well as the Uyghurs into their own country. Kazakhstan has a very thin population density, and could use all those extra people
fred van de bunt says
Why are you so worried about those Uyghurs?
Look at your USA masters with their Saudi clan members crush those poor Yemini people, which happens to be far worse?!
Why are you not worried about those tens of thousands of Yemini babies dying, and worry about some extremist Uyghur Islam terrorists?
Infidel says
I don’t care about any muslims, for what it’s worth
On the Uyghurs, only reason I care is that the current situation forces Western countries that don’t have extradition treaties w/ Beijing to open their doors to these people. But these people are muslims, and will sooner or later act exactly like Afghan, Paki, Chechen or Kyrgyz refugees here. Only reason I suggested what’s above was to create a situation where Uyghurs, as genuine refugees, could move to similar countries like Kazakhstan and settle there
The Yemenis who are dying are themselves thugs – whether sunni or zaidi. I don’t favor either side, be it Saudi or Iran
fredvandebunt says
Yemini babies that are dying are themsleves thugs?
A Nazi extermination camp guard would have said the same about Jewish babies, I guess…
Infidel says
Didn’t talk about babies, but if you think that their parents are a part of a peaceloving population that wants to get along w/ their neighbors, irrespective of whether they are zaidi or sunni, you are another moron. Like I said, I don’t support the Saudis or the Emiratis in this war, but neither do I support the Iranians, as you implicitly seem to do. If you don’t like what I just said, that’s what you get for nazi comparisons

East Turkestan fell into Chinese occupation only in the 18th century when the Qing dynasty of the Manchu empire annexed it. However, East Turkestan was never fully subdued by the Qing dynasty either. In fact, Xinjiang was briefly declared as an Independent East Turkestan State but was invaded by Communist China in 1949.
I’d say this makes the terror threat in East Turkestan a China problem. Given the iron grip the CCP has on all its citizens, they should have no problem controlling that area. Of course their other option is to give them independence.
fred van de bunt says
And those 50% Chinese have to leave that Islam terrorist nest, to be independent, so these Islamists could make it another Saudi-USA sponsored Afghanistan, that has to stop the commies, like in the 1980’s?
As a European working class member, I do not like my children to be ripped to pieces by Islam (terrorists), as we witnessed the last decennium.
For elites commie labor unions are far worse….
Infidel says
If you don’t want that place to become Afghanistan, the solution that I outlined above of relocating them to Kazakhstan would be the most humane way to go about it. But failing that, if that place does become another Afghanistan, it will be a headache of China and the -stans, not the West, and not even Russia. Unless of course western leaders are stupid enough to throw open their doors to them, like they are doing now
Infidel says
Looks like an Alien vs Predator situation. Note that while muslim governments may not give a flying f🤬k on what China does, their people do. The Pakistani government has had a tough balancing act b/w supporting the Chicoms, who are their sole source of cash, vs satisfying their core voter base of devout muslims, who are infuriated by the genocide in Xinjiang. I just hope that that escalates into a full blown civil war in Pakistan, and then spreads to other muslim countries, and consumes them all

A good description of the history and current conditions in East Turkestan and how tightly the area is controlled by China. That area was once an independent republic before the CCP invaded. Maybe the Uyghurs are right.

The best solution for that region is for these countries – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and the Uyghur parts of Xinjiang to come together and form a new country, say Turkistan. Give Tajikistan, which is not Turkic, Samarqand, which is majority Tajik, but let this new country be there. It’ll have the oil wealth of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, and a population of Uzbeks and Uyghurs to support them. And ideally, they should have Russian influence, as opposed to Turkish

Doomer, thank you for the real, real. You seem to know it all. I never thought of China in that vein. I thought they had a superior handle on everything.
I did read that they sent many ships loaded with human excrement out to the middle of the oceans for dumping. I did not know about the fish situation. And the scarcity of females for marriage.
We have all raped this wonderful earth that we were gifted. Brings tears!

It’s true–during the “One Child Policy” female children were often aborted, or if born were left out and wound up in orphanages. That’s why so many of the Chinese children adopted in the US and the rest of the West were girls. Now China has a great imbalance–very few women.

The Chinese Communists can [expletive deleted]. They have an ugly combination of totalitarian socialism and jackboot nationalism, and know they’re the world’s last, best hope for the thuggish politics of that low, mean rotten, lying decade of the 1930’s. Nor do I feel the slightest shred of sympathy for the CCP’s presenting itself as the poor little victim of wicked Japanese and American colonialism as it rattles sabers over a Taiwan whose “reunification” party deeply mistrusts anything Communist. I don’t love Islamic militancy, but I won’t cheer for a party that still sees Stalin as a hero–and whose minions are shocked that German-Americans (who might’ve had relatives who served under Eisenhower in WWII) have no warm spot for Hitler. If Sharki Turkistan becomes Communist China’s Algeria, I will not weep. I will, however, pray for those small communities of Turkistani Christians who are caught between a vicious Islamic militancy and a brutal Communist regime. I cannot do much else.

Kepha I am *no* fan of the Chinese Communists–but there is no doubt that Islam hates *all* Infidels, from communists to liberals to conservative Christians.

Kepha
This is another Alien vs Predator. May both sides win i.e. lose
Kepha says
@gravenimage and infidel.
Agreements with both of you. But I am not lusting after a new world war against Islam. Nor am I lusting for a War in the Far East–especially when we’ve had two recent US administrations more concerned that US military perosnnel have access to sexual reassignment surgery and the requisite quotas of women and sexual minorities are promoted than they were concerned for actual war-readiness or maintaining the American strategic lead in technological innovation.
Further, I disapprove of genocide–even if it simply stops at the point when the targeted group has been shrunken and demoralized enough to no longer pose a threat (the Chinese approach to the Uighurs, as opposed to the Nazi model of “final solution” used against the Jews). God may indeed have His purposes against many a nation or group at work in history, even though these purposes may be hidden from us at this point. However, one of the lessons we should take away from the Prophet Isaiah is that being an instrument of divine retribution is by no means a blessing (cf. Isaiah 10, on the Assyrians). That’s one of the main differences between Christianity on one side, and Islam and Marxism-Leninism on the other.
In the 1990’s, China faced an actual anti-colonial guerrilla war in Eastern Turkistan (and probably still faces low-key resistance and terrorism). Perhaps it will show France how France might have kept Algeria; perhaps it will destroy its current regime in a mounting conflict which may possibly even give hip to other disgruntled sections of the PRC’s population. I simply don’t know. But, I’ve seen how the Marxist-Leninists treat people, and won’t cheer them on.
In both cases of the PRC and Islamic militancy, the choice of enmity was not America’s. I would take the viewpoint of a Syriac Christian immigrant I once met, who said of our Iraqi intervention that our alliance with the Kurds was getting in bed with the “most treacherous people on the planet”. Something similar proved itself in Afghanistan, and would show itself soon enough in an unqualified support of East Turkistan independence. But I also see our transferring of our manufacturing economy to a Communist China which has NEVER renounced its official line that the USA is the head of every reactionary and evil in the world as a major strategic error. Further, when serving as a consular officer in Guangzhou, I noted that American diplomatic posts in China dutifully reported on all manner of human rights, use of prison labor in the export sector, and child labor. I myself even noticed child labor in a form of corvee for public works–yet the Clinton Administration, in office at that time, pushed for and got permanent MFN status for China at a time when its regime had clearly shown its true colors a few short years earlier (June 4, 1989, to be precise). This is one of the thing that makes me strongly suspect that the Clintons, and many others, may very well be in the pockets of a hostile power.

Hi, Kepha.
I never suggested that we go to war with Turkmenistan on the say so of Communist China.
Nor do I approve of China’s genocide towards any group–in fact, I have been very critical of China’s savagery here.
I have just noted that Islam targets *all* Infidels–those with decent policies and those who are just about as bad as themselves. Noting this is not to be taken as approval of Maoism.

How can China object to Turkey when China is so close with Iran? Makes no sense to me.
I despise China (and all the other oriental countries) for many reasons, but the only worthwhile thing China’s done (in my view) is to try to “reprogram” moslems. I wonder why Iran hasn’t said anything. I find this interesting in light of their close relationship, their long history, and their support for one another in war. Reminds me of a story about why moslems don’t mess with Russia:
In 1986, moslems kidnapped four Soviet diplomats in Beirut. The kidnappers demanded Moscow’s support for pro-Syrian fighters in Lebanon. Moscow ignored them. The moslem kidnappers then killed one of the hostages to show that they were serious. The KGB then kidnapped a family member of one of the Hezbollah leaders. He was castrated and then killed. The Hezbollah leader than received a package. The package contained a few intimate body parts and a note saying that the leader’s other family members would meet the same fate if the moslems didn’t release the other Russian prisoners and never try that with Russia again. The three remaining Russian diplomats were immediately released, and moslems haven’t kidnapped any Russians since.
Kepha says
For some obvious reasons, I do not despise oriental countries, even if I am highly suspicious and critical of some of their governments.
I know about how the Russians dealt with Hezbollah in Lebanon. One reason why they could do that was because they had excellent HUMINT capabilities, and had fingers into virtually every groups in the region. We get too many qualms of conscience about dealing with the sorts of people who’d allow us to pass on the same sort of message.

Kepha, Russia has largely supported Hezb’allah. Russia has said that Hezb’allah is a “legitimate force” and “we do not consider them a terrorist organization”. Not sure how any of this is a good thing.
