From USA Today bestselling author of Learning Curves comes a best friends to lovers, opposites attract romantic comedy with a curvy, outdoor-hating, boutique owner and an annoyingly attractive, outdoor-loving guy. Do opposites attract if they’re really, really opposite?

Fed up with never finding clothes in her size, or worse—being sent to the maternity section—Eve decided enough was enough and started her plus-size boutique. Owning the shop somehow led to a friendship with the well-known owner of the famous outdoor adventure store in town.

They were complete opposites in every way, but it worked. And he was by far the best friend she’d ever had.

Four years ago Austin walked into Own Your Curves to ask about plus-size outdoor clothes for his shop, and the next thing he knew, he was best friends with the feisty, always-kept-him-on-his-toes, pain-in-his-backside owner, Eve.

So when she asked for his guidance expanding her shop with plus-size undergarments, how could he tell her no?

One problem, though. As Austin helped Eve with the expansion, he couldn’t stop his imagination from blurring the line between friendship and something more.

Tents and Tights is a sweet, funny, friends to lovers romance.
Austin and Eve have been friends for years. Ausitn owns an outdoor adventures company and Eve has a plus size boutique. The friendship started out when Austin had a need for better quality and more sizes in his women's athletic wear and he stumbled into Eve's shop. That is where he found the lovely, funny, easy to talk to Eve and yes, a friendship developed.
Eve found her calling when she as a curvy woman could not find the clothing that she needed. Being ambitious and creative she learned from the ground up how to make her own and her business was born. The day the handsome adventure stumbled into her shop was a game changer for her as she soon acquired someone she could be herself with and share her thoughts and ideas.
This couple spends countless nights on the phone, having dinner, watching movies they have wonderfully funny cute banter that soon begins to change. When Eve starts using a dating app and also begins developing a risky underwear line Austin begins to feel protective and oh my he is catching the feelings?? Such a fun, sweet and romantic slow burn with great characters. Fell in love with Austin and Eve!

This book held way too much internal dialogue. One character would pose a question and you’d have so many pages of internal thoughts that by the time the other character answered, you’d have no idea what they were answering. At minimum, three separate times I had to go back several pages to find the question again in order to go back and continue on. The author wanted the heroine of the book to come across as strong and confident in her body. Unfortunately, she was anything but confident. She was actually quite down on herself and her curves, sadly. There were a few funny parts and you did get a happily ever after.

OMG, This book is too much. It’s a Friends to Lovers/Opposite Attract RomCom with a new twist and it had me laughing and smiling throughout. The storyline is well written and the banter between the lead couple as well as between them and their friends, was spot on. If you need a pick-me-up and transport me to a better/fun place - grab up Tents and TIghts - You won’t be sorry you did.

Eve is a plus size gal who is tired of never being able to go into a store and find that perfect outfit. So she opened her own boutique (Own Your Curves), selling her own crafted designs. She is struggling to get by when Austin, an avid outdoorsman, who has graced the cover of a lot of outdoor magazines and has his own outdoors world shop in the same town as Eve, walks into her store. He has larger clients who need specialized larger clothing for outdoor activities. So a perfect business union is created and the two become fast Besties. But when Eve asks Austin for his help on a new project for her shop, little do they know it’s going to turn their world upside down. And trust me it’s going to cause readers a laugh a minute as they follow along their crazy journey.

This was such a fun friends to lovers and I was amused throughout the whole book. There is so much fun banter and witty comebacks between Eve & her best friend Austin. Eve owns the store Own Your Curves and does her best to help every customer feel beautiful in her skin and Austin owns an outdoor activity type store. I loved their relationship and how they joked about and supported each other. I also loved character cameos from other books.

Review:

After years being friends and feeling something more to each other than simply friendship, Eve and Austin’s relationship take a turn. I always like to read books with plus size heroines. They seem to remind us that it’s ok to be the way we are and we don’t have to change in order to please others. However, considering the characters were in their 30s, their interactions sounded a little too childish/immature to me (I’m in my 30s).

If you like friends to lovers and plus size heroines this book may be for you.

I received this ARC in exchange of my honest opinion.

I originally was going to DNF around 25% and then realized I actually paid $4.99 for this. I skipped so many pages to get through it. The amount of internal dialogue for both characters agonizing over their relationship (but we’re just “best friends”) was painful. The heroine was also super whiny. The hero didn’t see it that way and thought it was cute, but it was not cute. I did not enjoy this and will actively avoid this author’s books.

This book is one of the best romantic comedies I have read so far this year! It was well written, with an interesting plot, keen pacing, and unique characters. It was a beautiful blend of laugh-out-loud comedy with all the swoon-worthy moment's romance readers adore. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end.

Austin and Eve will definitely be placed on my list of favourite book couples. I absolutely loved their dynamic. Their friendship was so sweet and their love for each other was apparent from the start. From the very beginning, I was rooting for them and couldn’t wait to see how their relationship progressed.

This book would be suitable for readers of romantic comedy, also those who enjoy friends-to-lovers stories. I have found in the past that some authors struggle with balancing comedy with romance, but Molly O’Hare does so brilliantly. This book would literally have me laughing out loud one moment and swooning the next. I can’t wait to see what comes next!

Talk about an amazing book. This is the first book I have read by Molly O'Hare. I can say that I will be doing my best to work my way through her back list now.

This book is a great Friends to Lovers Rom Com. It will give you lots of warm and cozy feelings, and leave you feeling content. There are so many incredible and unique characters in this book. I truly loved both Austin and Eve, and the friendship they shared. Although I have to say my favorite character was probably Mildred, she was quite the dirty old lady!!!

Eve and Austin were so opposite each other, but that just made them even more perfect for each other. I loved how Eve dedicated her life to helping other women feel sexy and confident in their bodies especially if they are on the thicker side. The fact that Austin loved that part about Eve made him and even more swoon worthy hero.

This is a romantic comedy about two friends that fall for each other but they are too scared of expressing their love and ruining their friendship. With one hiking trip, an overnight camping expedition, and lots and lots of banter, these two are brought together in an exposable act.

Eve was a quirky heroine with lots of sass and a predicament of dating lame-ass dudes. Austin has loved her from afar for way too long, but now that she is starting to date he starts to have some jealousy attacks. Done with sitting on the sidelines, he invites her for a camping trip and decides to show her how much he loves and appreciates her.

Tents and Tights is a sweet friends to lovers book. Austin and Eve are best friends. They have cute relationship with such great banter.

This book is a great example of romantic comedy done well. The story is well written. I really liked the plot and pacing of this story. The characters are so great and add so much to this story. This story balances the funny and the swoon very well. Austin and Eve have such a cute relationship with fantastic banter. Eve does have some annoying tendencies and at times becomes pedantic. Austin is a great character you will quickly fall in love with him.
Over this was a really good story and I am a fan of the author. I totally recommend it!

Dual POV/third person
FMC- Eve
MMC- Austin

This is a RomCom, Plus size romance, best friends to lovers, and opposites attract.

Molly never fails with making my bust out laughing with her writing. Within the first 10% I was laughing!
Romcoms are not my preferred genre but I enjoy Molly’s for the fact that the banter is always AMAZING and I’m always laughing.

Eve wants to make everyone feel beautiful. She was tired of not being able to find clothes in her size so she opened her own boutique “Own Your Curves” which is right next to Austin’s outdoorsy store.

They have all the chemistry, banter, comfortability to be themselves around one another.

I loved that they got their HEA!

Tents & Tights is this entertaining, witty, a bit out there story that will have you in a fit of giggles. I laughed along with the characters and then some. The banter is honestly off the charts that I felt like I was watching a tv show like Big Bang Theory. I’m not joking!
I just loved Eve and her quirky self and definitely wanted to be friends with her. Eve and Austin are best friends. Eve runs Own Your Curves store and Austin runs an outdoor Adventure store. These two are hilarious, a good time and the antics will have you wondering how things will progress for them. He’s Outdoorsy, shes NOT and when they are together, her babbling sometimes gets the better of her and I felt like these two are definitely meant to be friends.
I wholeheartedly loved everything about this book. I loved all the characters and witty comebacks, just the way the author wrote the storyline and the ending made me love them even more.
Highly recommend this book. Its the perfect Rom Com!

Eve & Austin! Opposites attract, best friends to lovers with a crazy cat, funny as heck banter and just a feel good book. I think Austin was so sweet and you could feel how much he really adored Eve. This was fun and these two really meshed well together. There are laugh out loud moments, just fun supporting characters and these two are really hot together. It is told in third POV, FYI.

ARC Review of Tents and Tights by Molly O'Hare
* * * * *
Business and besties of 6 years just took it to the next level!
Or man is a successful wilderness business owner and a total hunk. Too bad he is the target of a very cranky and territorial cat who just happens to be the pet of his curvy bestie.
Our misses is determined to make ends meet and taking in the suggestion to expand her business...into something more revealing.
Thus begins our romance.
Some lingeree teases should do the trick, but if course a little outdoor healthy wilderness exploration - with a little steamy tent exploration - was going to start things moving in the feelings department, but also cause some complications.
What happens when they go too far?
And seriously gentlemen in all dating platforms!....you know who you are...stop it!

This was a cute light fluffy read.
However I feel like this was one of those “meet a word minimum” and it had lots of filler words and tons oof internal monologue that was unnecessary.

I received this ARC for an honest review

This a great read hilariously funny and romantic.

Two best friends fighting their attraction. Nether one sure if the other feels anything. But between some sexy lingere, a hiking trip an attack Cat and a lusty old woman with an outrageous ideas. And you have yourself a ridiculous funny read.

Could not put this down, an awesome read.

I really wanted to love this book, especially as I waited to read it while on my camping trip. But it's just way too much filler and internal dialogue. One character would make a comment or ask a question, and there would be 3-4 pages of internal dialogue before the other character would respond. I kept having to scroll back to see what the original comment was because I had forgotten it! And how many times did I have to read, "but he/she is my best friend!" We get it, quit clubbing me over the head with it!

SPOILERS:

I enjoyed much of this book, but the characters also left me confused a lot of the time. The MMC and FMC fighting their attraction to each other didn't really make sense because neither had a good reason for it besides, "they're my best friend." I can accept that, even though it wasn't explained in such a way to make it a believable reason, but other things also didn't make sense.

For example, after the main characters sleep together for the first time, the FMC freaks out internally but then decides she wants to give them a chance. Two seconds later, she is all doom and gloom and internally accepting they will never be together, the MMC does not want to be with her and their friendship will be over because... The MMC gave her breakfast and told her they needed to pack up? She had told him she was hungry and they DID need to pack up. They had JUST had sex and the MMC expressed she was "mine", the best meal he ever had and asked "what do you do to me?" How does any of that equal, "she's good enough to have sex with but nothing else?" He hadn't done ANYTHING to give her the impression he didn't want more.

But she sure did. She pushed him away completely. He was not pushing her away at all, but she was acting differently and declining to talk to him and spend time with him. It made it difficult to root for her because she was sabotaging the relationship herself for no rational reason. She decided the MMC didn't have feelings for her just because he didn't say anything but she didn't say anything to him either. The only difference was he treated her positively and she treated him horribly. If anything, when looking at their behavior, SHE looks like the one who didn't want more.

"And they didn’t joke about Eve being a master of jumping to conclusions for nothing." I feel like this was supposed to explain the FMC's behavior but it honestly just made me like her less. There's a difference between jumping to conclusions with very little information and jumping to conclusions with no information. Her behavior made her seem unintelligent.

Even though the MMC did nothing wrong, every character in this book acts like he did and he ends up being the one to apologize and grovel. This didn't sit well with me because the FMC and MMC had an established friendship with open and honest communication. The MMC didn't declare feelings right away but he treated the FMC well and expressed wanting her. The FMC jumped to a conclusion for no good reason and started acting like a lunatic. All she had to do was ask the simple question, "where do we go from here?" That's it.

Overall, even though there were parts of this book I really enjoyed, all I explained above really dampened my enjoyment of this story. I give this story two stars and probably won't try more from this author.

This book has such a fun premise. I love that Eve and Austin both love their jobs, and that their jobs are also their hobbies, and the reason they met. The connection that grew between then because of both Eve’s designs & Austin’s love of hiking just worked really well for me.

I really like hiking, so the hiking aspects were the most intriguing to me. I laughed out loud at the ‘mushroom’ moments during the hike. I haven’t read much of the friends-to-lovers trope, but I thought that it was good. I believed why they would have become friends, and how it turned into more.

Personally, I didn’t love the way that the ‘third act break up’ that’s pretty typical in romance novels was incorporated into this book. I don’t really care for communication issues in books, but especially when it’s between characters who are best friends like Eve and Austin are. It just didn’t come off as realistic to me, that they’re so open and honest with each other but when it came to a relationship, it was the opposite.

Austin totally won my heart. I loved reading from his pov and how he wrapped his mind around his feelings for Eve. I didn’t care for Eve as much, and I think a big part of that was because of the way she talked about herself. As someone that seemingly has a pretty similar body to Eve, there were moments where she talked down about her looks (and how people who look like her don’t get guys like Austin) that really bothered me. But I can acknowledge that that’s a personal opinion and likely isn’t something many others will think.

I’m glad I read this! It was a fun, quick read. I find the characters (the women specifically) that Molly O’Hare writes to be pretty similar to each other, so if you have read her books and enjoy her characters, it’s nice to have that kind of consistency. To pick up a new book by her and know that you’re going to like the characters.

Sooo Mikayla & Jake’s book next, yes??

Being new to Ms.O’Hare's work i've been wanting to pick up her books for quite some time now. As soon as i found out about Tents & Tights it piqued my interest right away and i knew i had to read it first. I jumped into it as soon as i could and got into it quickly. I so enjoyed this story!

Eve and Austin's journey pulled me in and didn't let go! I really liked the way these two were brought into each other's lives. Right from the start these two had me grinning. I couldn't get enough of their banter and friendship! I couldn't wait to see how these two would tackle things, especially when it came to their feelings.

I was so glad that i got into both of their minds. I adored these two together! They had such great chemistry. Eve was such an awesome heroine that i related to. Austin was priceless and made me fall for him.

With Tents & Tights, Ms.O’Hare has created such a good and entertaining read that was an absolute breath of fresh air! I am so happy that i finally picked up her work, especially with this story! I can't wait to read more of her books in the near future!

Eve and Austin have a friendship like no other. They not only are best friends but know each other more than anyone else on Earth. Eve has always had this crush on him, yet she has always shoved it to the side never thinking of it in fear of what it would do to their friendship and thinking guys like him don’t go for girls like her. Austin loves Eve to death but one day out of the blue something hits him and he starts to find everything about her intriguing more so than usual. As things start to heat up and change for them Eve never thinks she is on the same level as Austin and Austin is determined to show her she is and more. What I loved about this story along with the previous is that the author shows us that us curvy girls shouldn’t hide away from what society says we should be but embrace and love ourselves even when its hard to do. Also it shows us just because of so called “norms” not all guys want stick figures but women that are real. The humor was on point as well as their banter, I am hoping we see more of Mikayla, and you can never go wrong with Mildred and her antics.

This is my first time reading the author and I enjoyed this best friends to lovers romance. What really worked for me was that these two are really best friends, they don't have angst feelings about each other in the past, but its more of a realization that have deeper feelings than they thought they had.

When Austin met Eve they became besties and also business buddies. Eve is plus sized and a fashion designer. Austin is into the great outdoors and runs a sporting goods company. He meets Eve when he wants her to design sportswear for his company and thats when a beautiful relationship is born,

This is more than a besties finding love but its also about the fit guy loving the coach potato when he loves outdoors and hiking. They are very opposite people but they have the funniest and best friends relationship.

It was a sweet romance and I really enjoyed watching Austin and Eve find each other.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is O’Hare’s 9th book and like all the others doesn’t disappoint.
Tents & Tights tell the story of Austin & Eve who despite being so vastly different have become the best of friends over the years.
It’s not until Eve starts sharing the unsolicited & unwanted images she’s been receiving from men through her dating app that Austin starts to feel a little defensive of Eve.
Not understanding where these sudden feelings are coming from, he's thrown into complete kaos when Eve asks for his help with a new project she’s working on for her shop.
Austin being the friend he is and agrees to not only help her with the business plan, but to give a male’s perspective on what lingerie they like to see on their partner.
I don’t want to ruin it for you so all I’ll say is when the lace comes out and the tequila starts flowing things get interesting for both of them.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book, O’Hare has an easy way of writing with fantastic supporting characters who we’ve met in previous books.

I'm writing this review for United Indie Book blog..
So I had some high hopes for this since I've liked other books the author has written but this one fell short for me. I liked that Eve was plus size and that she was encouraged to make lingerie for other plus size girls. She has a heart for pleasing other people and fashion but besides that, I didn't really connect with her at all. She was high maintenance and definitely not an outdoorsy person.. Austin, was the complete opposite. He loved being outside, hiking and camping out in the outdoors. Him and Eve have a great friendship but I didn't really feel the moment when it switched. It was nice to see the hero break first and have the fight to pursue or not. It was a nice change for once. Eve was just blind to see it until it happened. The first half of this book with all the build up and tension was great but after the tension broke.. the book felt like it dragged on and I lost interest immediately. It was a struggle to finish this book.

I LOVED this book! Eve and Austin are best friends who are complete opposites of each other. Eve owns her own Plus Size clothing boutique. Eve is a BBW and is tired of never finding clothes that fit so she creates a store for women like her.
Austin owns the outdoor stool next door to Eve. He realizes that some of his clients need bigger clothes too and goes to Eve for help. He appreciates Eve’s talent and Austin’s orders help Eve and provide his clients with what they need too. Eve and Austin quickly become BFF’s.
This book was hilarious and the banter between Eve and Austin is great to watch. I enjoyed seeing Austin grow to realize what is happening to him when he realizes that he likes Eve as more than a friend. I can’t wait to reread this book! There were parts of the book that I would go back and read so I could get a laugh!
I would DEFINITELY recommend this book!.

4.5 Stars! Quirky, adorable, and very entertaining!
I really enjoyed ready this book! I loved the friendship between Eve and Austin.
Eve was quite the character! She was sassy, quirky, and a bit crazy in the most hysterical way! I hated that, after everything, she was still self conscious and didn’t think she was worthy of Austin, but some scars run deep. There were some times, especially when she was in her head, when it was repetitive and maybe a little too in her head.
I really liked Austin. I loved the way he saw Eve and rolled with some of her antics! There was that one moment where he shouldn’t have assumed, but his intentions were honest and pure.
This book was so good with the slow burn turned fire! When it got hot, it was very HOT!!
I’ll definitely be looking into more from this author! I’d love to get more of Jake and Mikayla.

It's no secret that I am a huge fan of Molly O'Hare's book "Learning Curves," so I have been on pins and needles waiting to get my hands on "Tents & Tights." It did not disappoint; this book was so much fun and I loved it.

Eve Morgan and Austin Flynn met four years ago when he came into her boutique to ask about plus size outdoor apparel, and they've been best friends ever since. Eve had a secret crush on Austin early in their friendship but has tried her best to put it behind her; she's even made an effort to date other guys, though she only seems to match with losers on her dating apps. As for Austin, he's always thought Eve was attractive, but he's only recently started to realize that his feelings for her may be more than just friendship. It's harder than ever for him to fight his feelings when she asks for his help in launching a new line of lingerie for her boutique. Will their new partnership bring them closer than ever, or will Austin and Eve find that business and friendship shouldn't mix?

Eve and Austin were super cute together and I adored their witty banter. I also loved how hard Eve tried to be body-positive, though even she couldn't help having doubts and insecurities sometimes. In that sense, I found her character to be very relatable. The other thing I particularly loved about this book was the humor. There were so many aspects of the story that made me laugh, but I think my favorite was Eve's obsession with gnomes when she and Austin went camping. Her cat, Marshmallow's, constant attacks on Austin were also hilarious. Finally, the book's secondary characters were tremendously entertaining, and I'd love to see a few of them return in future books. (Am I the only one hoping for Jake and Mikayla to get together?)

Overall, "Tents & Tights" was a laugh-out loud funny and sweet story with the perfect touch of steam. I highly recommend it for all romantic comedy fans and can't wait to find out what Molly O'Hare comes up with next.

Eve accepts her curvy figure and wants other woman to be able to do the same so she has opened up a plus size clothing store which is how she met Austin. Austin owns a business that handles anything to do with the outdoors so he approaches Eve to have her create some clothing that would be suitable for his larger clients.

Through their businesses a friendship develops so it is only natural that she would seek his advice when she wants to expand his business. It is through this expansion that he begins to see Eve as more than a friend and now he needs to convince her.

The characters and the humor is so relatable when it comes to Eve and Austin. Although she never imagined he would be interested in her as more than a friend he shows her by word and deed that she is perfect for him in every way.
